HELP ON NOKIA 5530 xpress music

hi, i am new user, and just buyed 2-3 days back a new nokia 5530 xpress music, and i am not happy with it, the main problems are
1) earphone problems - the earphones are not good i mean i got the white color earphone still the sound in it is so bad that no bass in it, simple voice with low sound, also buyed a new earphone but same problem. i hate that
2) music player- well the music is very low as compared to samsung corby pro. this is xpress music but has not much sound where else samsung corby pro has more and better sound than us wat the hell.
3) battery problem- well the battery life as told music can be played upto 27 hrs, and talktime 4 hrs, and standby time, huh ( ALL FAKE). i yesterday rechraged my xpress music fully at around 4 pm, and i dint listen to any music, was just msging my friends and talk to someone for around 30 mins and then was just msging and msging and i stoped at around 12 am night, i saw my battery and its almost down i was shocked and suprise that battery only worked for around 8-9 hrs wat the hell grrrrrrrrrr. at 1 am the battery was at 1 point i mean i am so disappointed i felt like kicking the phone out my balcony. and ya when i recharge my battery it recharges in almost 20-25 mins that too full charge i mean i dont understand y is it happening like that

1. I use in ear earphones and the music is great
2. Music quality on the 5800 is better than the corby pro whose distortion levels are quite high. If we are talking of volume, that is another matter. volume is not equivalent to quality. I am not sure if you are just not using good enough earphones or what, but the presets on mine has a difference on the songs. I can hear the difference. I also listen to songs at volume level 3. So I really think its your earphone which has a problem.
3. These battery life quotations are maximum. Same goes for almost any brand. Music lifetime quotations are impossible to reach in real life. I could tell you how to get 27hours music on your phone but I can assure you, you wont do it.

Hi, i have purchased the nokia 5530 xpressmusic game edition, unfortunately i lost the memory card, it came with 20 games, anyone knows how i can find a backup of this games so it can be restored to factory settings into my new memory? Thanks in advance...

GPS adapter for Nokia 5530 Xpress Music

I bought a Nokia 5530 Xpress Music a few weeks back, and today I bought a BlueNEXT GPS bluetooth adapter (901S). It pairs, but it can't connect to any satellites. Any help, please?

1)brush up your english
2)reinsert the battery after 2MIN
3) try rest factory settings-pass 12345 if it doesn't work ...try hard reset *#7370*(makesure you do a backup 1st)
4)pray really2 hard that #3 works

Nokia 5530 Xpress Music firmware update not findin...

Apparently theres a V20 update for the nokia 5530 Xpress Music phone, but when i look for updates for it. it says latest firmware is V11. So how do i get this new firmware version, because ive been getting alot of problems with version 11?

Nokia 5530 xpress music: The volume goes down when...

Nokia 5530 xpress music: when I play the music without Nokia headset the volume seems great but when I play the same song with headset the volume goes down.
is the problem from Nokia Headset or from the mobile itself?

I think this is Normal.
Otherwise It wouldn't do your hearing much good if you set the volume to maximum and then plugged in your headset

I have brought nokia 5530 xpress music ....I want to use wifi but the problem is after getting connected to the wifi server..when I press "start web browsing " then the reply comes no gateway reply...
These are my wlan wizard setting after connection is made

Not charging nokia 5530 xpress music

I have a 5530 xpress music less than a year old. it won't charge, bought new charger and battery, charged one time with new charger but after deleting meassages after saying memory full won't do anything now ,. Any ideas

Does anyone know why Nokia is not releasing Nokia 5530 in India?
Is it true that this phone switches off while charging? Is there any other known bugs in this phone after the latest firmware update?
I have been waiting for this phone for past 3 months but it is still not available in Indian stores.
I want to be sure that I don't buy a buggy phone after waiting for so long. I wish my wait for this phone is well paid and Nokia will not disappoint its loyal Indian customers.
It is very disappointing to see Nokia's marketing stratergy that it has released this phone in other parts of the world but for some strange reason, it does not want it to be released in India.

NOKIA 5530 Xpress Music, Wont Connect To Home Rout...

I have recently brought a Nokia 5530..
I have a Netgear MIMO WPN824 router with WPA-PSK [TKIP] + WPA2-PSK [AES] security, with password over 20 char..
I have a laptop, Xbox, Iphone and other items connected to the router without a problem.
When I first got the phone I put in the password and it connected, I browsed a few web pages without a problem for a few mins.. I then tried to download something and the connection went, now cant connect at all??? It just says connecting and does nothing else.
I have deleted and then tried to add the access point back on the phone but this hasn't helped?
I'm pretty computer minded so if its a detailed fix on the phone please let me know and I should be able to attempt it?

Same here, looks like this phone cant handle WPA2 keys larger than 40 chars... I had an 63 chars key and have to low it down till 40 characters to get proper working WiFi in this mobile. Sigh...

Nokia 5530 Xpress Music - I can't disconnect

Hi, I have a problem with GPRS, I'm still connected! I can stop the connection, but it automaticly connects me again. I didn't find in options anything like automatic connection, please help.

Menu-->Settings-->Connectivity-->Admin settings-->Packet Data--..set to 'When Needed'..
..but if you have application like WhatsApp installed, then it requires connection all the time. Also it will depend on the e-mail sync frequency (if any...)

Nokia 5530 Xpress Music Firmware v32 to v40

Hello, i wanted to ask, Quite a few friends of mine have had their 5530 phone updated through Nokia Suite to v40, Whereas, this update has not appeared for me so far. Can anyone help me solve this and get my phone updated to v40? I know the version has been arround since October 2011, but i havent recieved the update option yet.

Hope you have checked thru' Nokia Suite as well as FOTA by dialing *#0000# and then under Options..If both ways show that your phone is upto date means there isn't any update released for YOUR device..because the availability depends on Product Code / Region. Also for Network locked devices, update is possible only after an approval from the Operator. You need to wait and keep on checking ..
..only chance you may take is ask your lokal Nokia Care whether they can do it for you..May be chargeable though..

Nokia 5530 Xpress Music gets warm!

After some time of browsing the net, listening to music, viewing videos and other regular stuff the phone itself gets warm. Is this normal? Should I worry about this?
Another question. I accidentaly scratched my 5530's display with a needle. A little mark is seen, will it damage the phone? The mark is on the edge of the screen, it can barely be seen, but it's kinda deep. Will it harm my phone?

If you feel that the phone is getting unpleasant hot, you should take it to a Nokia care point for an inspection.
On the other hand, viewing videos, browsing the net etc and running other apps at the same time will make the phone somwhat hotter, but not as hot as a laptop etc. It's hard do know exactly how hot it is for us, but if you feel like it's getting unpleasant hot as I wrote a few lines before, then take it to a NCP for an inspection.
If you have not pressed the needel through your screen and into some hardware parts - I don't think it will do any harm to your phone. Getting scratches is normal (perhaps not from a needle), but as long as it was just the screen, and the screen did not break - it should not have anything to say for your devices performance. (But if youre doing this often, it might make the screen getting some weak points and eventually it might break, but that should need some real effort).

This is my first time on here and after reading some of your post's with regard's to this phone, I'm now starting to regret my purchase. Brought this phone at the end of November and within a week I started to experience the contact's screen fading problem's, phone turn's itself off, etc, etc.
Today I have got a new fault and I have contacted Nokia and they told me to carry out three different thing's, but this didn't help and suggested I take it to a repair centre.
I stumbled on this discussion page and thought I would post my problem to see if anyone could help me :-
Every time I go to answer a call or make a call, my phone just turn's itself off, can anyone help ?
Just wanted to know if anyone else has experienced this one and if so, what can I do.
I have removed the battery, sim card and checked for an updated, nothing helped.
