Where's the Band?

Recently purchased an album from itunes. Loaded fine into my library but when I synced up to ipod I noticed the album did not appear in the ipod list of artists. Repeated attempts to load were futile; however, I imported album via playlist and is now in ipod but no artist/album info appears in the list. Any ideas how to get this info to appear? Thanks

There are usually two things that contribute to songs not appearing under Artist on the iPod, both due to information either in or missing from the Get Info>Info tab against the song in iTunes. 1) the song has no album name associated with it or 2) the song is marked as part of a compilation.
If tracks are missing an Album name in the Info tab, this information needs to be filled in. The no album one is a bit quirky as the songs will appear under certain circumstances (for instance I read somewhere that if you have at least two tracks with different album names the rest will appear), however the simplest remedy is just add None or Miscellaneous to all the blanks in place of a title. Also if the tracks are ticked in the Get Info>Info tab as part of a compilation, they will not appear under Artist on the iPod. Highlight a song in iTunes that you know is not appearing correctly on your iPod. Right click on it and choose Get Info and click the Info tab (alternatively choose Get Info from the File menu), if "Part of a Compilation" is marked untick it and afterwards update your iPod, you should find it now appears as normal. Setting "Compilations" on your iPod main menu prevents you getting lots of single artist entries when you load an album by various artists.

I have been searching and searching for songs by the band Tool on iTunes. Why the heck isn't this band in the store? I thought they were pretty popular. Does anyone know any reason why they are not listed or have any information about it? Is there any way to ask iTunes to add this band? Thanks, ya'll.

It's up to the folks (artist, record labels, etc) who own the rights to the content to decide if they want to sell things on the iTunes Store. Oddly, not everyone wants to.

Where is the advertised Microsoft Band and Health app support?

The Microsoft Band is labeled as "Powered by Microsoft Health" all over the site. The Microsoft Health page has the image above, showing the band, the app, and HealthVault all in the same ecosystem.
I am a Band and Health user so I just signed up for HealthVault and there is no way I can find to connect Health (and thus Band) with HealthVault.
Surely they didn't sell me this product under false pretenses. What am I missing?

Where is the sensor that locks the Iphone 4s when you tilt it up on phone calls so your face does not touch it.

The proximity sensor is at the top front center above the earpiece. If you look at a White iPhone 4S or a picture of a White iPhone 4S, you can see the small dark band above the earpiece, the proximity sensor lies just beneath this port on both the black and white iPhone 4S.

Where is the new update for N95-3 and N95-4? i have this two phones and i fell disappoint and mad becuz i bought this expensive cellphone and we have no support from Nokia.. this is no fair we are consumers like any other in the world. And the european model of N95 has a lot of updates and we r exent of the updates and support.. thats no fair my cellphone cost a lot of money and no support? only one update for year?.. my cellphone N95-4 compared to the European model is a garbage. Because the European added many things with update.. like autorotate and improve speed.. im about not to buy another Nokia because we have no support !! Nokia set aside the American market.

Actually, it's the American market that set Nokia aside.
Nokia initially refused to allow network operators to customize their phones' firmware. Consequently, American network operators all but stopped buying Nokia phones. Nokia has since relented and does carry out a certain amount of trade in America now, but they're nowhere near as popular over there as they are elsewhere in the world.
Add their lower popularity in America to the fact that you all use different frequency bands from the rest of the world, which means a different set of hardware, and you begin to understand why the American market is a bit of a bugbear and why Americanised products are low priority. If American networks followed the same standards as elsewhere in the world you'd all benefit from the same updates.
Note that this is just personal speculation and not necessarily Nokia's official standpoint. I am not a Nokia employee.

Just got new imovie08--where are the effects??? YIKES help

Ok. There are some neat aspects of the new 08, with the compact boxes and skimming...BUT...Where did the video effects go? slow/reverse,earthquake,etc...
Also, is there even a feature that has a sound timeline where in the old one we used volume levels and were able to adjust them in a graph kinda thingie in the timeline. Now I need precise volume control and can't distinguish between multiple volume/sound lines.
I appreciate apple trying to better the software--but those key things that one would use in a editing software--should be there (even if it's for non-pros) I have FCE too.

They're still in iMovie '06. If you want to use them, use iMovie '06.

The wave form, volume rubber band, and new equalizer rubber bands are in GarageBand which allows much more precise sound mixing and adjustments than in iMovie.

This version is more and attempt to advance the techneiques of import, editing by reference, and exporting than an upgrade in features. Use iMovie '06 for traditional editing and iMovie '08 to see what may be in store for you over the next decade.

Where is the Modem?

In the Triple Play package they only show the free Router included. Where's the modem?

Some people run their own router for better wireless than the FIOS router provides.
The FIOS provided router does not support the 5Ghz band which is less crowded.
However, be aware of a couple of things.
1) VZ's standard installation is coax from the ONT to the router unless you're on a tier over 100Mbps.
2) VZ's router (or a MOCA adapter) is still required to connect the STBs.

My ipod is doubling the bands!!

On my ipod nano ,i downloaded the music and some of the bands are doubled or tripled and i cant find out why its not because of spelling ,so i have no idea=[ Help?

This sometimes happens when there are extra spaces in the artist name -- usually at the end where the spaces are hard to see.
If extra spaces are causing the problem, the easiest way to solve it is to select all of the songs by the artist and choose "Get Info". A dialog box will come up that will let you change the mp3 tags for all of the songs at the same time. Re-type the artist name and all of the songs will have the exact same spelling including spaces.

Where did the music go? iTMS Gifting Question

I have a song/video that I got off the iTMS that many friends have said they would love to have. I would love to gift/share this with them, but when I went to do this the song/video can't be found anywhere.
My Question: Is there a way to find music you know you got off the iTMS in order to Gift it?
I know for sure I got it off the iTMS and I would love to purchase 30 copies to send to family and friends. Here is the song/video in case anyone can find it or would like to point me to where I can get it:

This is the song/video made for the Winter Olympics not the band's normal rendition. I personally don't care for the unedited version and really think that the video imagery adds to the music. I got the song/video on Feb 7th, 2006, but I can't find it anymore. I will gladly Gift a copy to anyone who can show me where it is and how I can Gift it to my friends.

Other than just searching for it as many ways as you can think of, no. Usually making your searches less specific works best, though it will pull up more than you want.

You can submit suggestions for the iTunes Music Store through the feedback page. But if a track once carried by the iTMS is no longer there (as opposed to being listed but coming up with an "unavailable" error), it's probably because the record company cancelled the licensing, in which case there's probably little or nothing Apple can do.

HP LaserJet Enterprise 500 551dn - where did the drivers go?

I go to the download page to download the drivers for this 551dn. I download all windows 7, 8, 8.1, 2008, 2012, so that i can put them on my print server. I downloaded them from here..

I get the file downloaded (LJEnt-color-M551-Drv-no-installer_12297.exe), i run it, get the security warning and Run. the file extracts - then POOF, the installer is gone.
where did the files go? They aren't on the root of the C: drive, a folder/files were not created on my desktop, no files or folder created in my downloads folder.
I was never asked for a file save location.... ??? really? is this this basic stuff?
Where are the files? this $$$ printer is a brick until i get drivers!

UPDATE- I FOUND THE FILES!!
First of all, HP... i'm not impressed.
All the files for all the drivers are in a series of temp folders...

There is no change to this problem after 6 months since the last post. Put simply, and as stated in the previous posts, there is no way to scan a document and receive the image on your PC. If you are working with graphics for any length of time or want to create an image for inclusion as an image in a document or web page using this piece of equipment will not allow you to do so.
Great shame as every other function works well - it cannot be beyond the wit of HP to include a Windows application that enables you to scan an image, receive it in the software you are using at the time (e.g. Outlook, Word, Photoshop...) and use it in your work.
HP Printers several years older than this £1000+ Enterprise printer were able to do this simple job and have done so for a great many years. Just being able to use Microsoft's Fax and Scan would be start.

Sometimes I can't get out of Day view in iCal. There is no where on the screen to select month view, even when I close it out and go back into iCal.

Sometimes I am locked in "day" view in iCal. There is no where on the screen to choose "month" view, even when I close it out and open again. Tapping anywhere on the screen or scrolling doesn't help.

Give this a try:
1 - delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your
User/Home/Library/ Preferences folder.
2 - delete the contents the following folder: User/Library/Containers/com.apple.iPhoto
3 - reboot, launch iPhoto and try full screen again.
NOTE: For Mavericks and Yosemite, go to your Home folder and use the View ➙ Show View Options menu to bring the this window:
where you can check the Show Library Folder checkbox.

Where did the Stream 7 drivers go?

The support page for downloading drivers for the HP Stream 7 tablet (any model) has disappeared from the HP website.
Navigating to the HP Stream 7 support page, Selecting "Software and Drivers", then "Go directly to software and drivers page", Operating System "Windows", then Version "Windows 8.1" (the only choices), then clicking the Update button, gives a message "No software or drivers are available for this product with the selected operating system. Please make a different selection, or visit the product homepage. " This happens using Firefox, IE 11, or Chrome.
These drivers have been missing for at least a few weeks, and multiple forum users have also had no luck finding them. Before that time the drivers seemed to come and go randomly, but they've stayed missing now for weeks. One dorum user has posted direct FTP links to the drivers, and they might be the latest version, but not really sure.
Where did the drivers go, HP?

How do I figure where is the data in a materialized view coming from

Hi: when I run select NAME, OWNER from dba_mview_refresh_times, I see a number of materialized views. How do I find more details about this view i.e where is the data coming from and which fields. The source table that is in another database changed. But the view on my database where the materialized view exist has not changed. I want to confirm from where is data coming in this view

I was just reviewing an ASUG presentation from Soledad Alvarado Ganzhorn of SAP NetWeaver Product Management at SAP Labs. It describes a value lifecycle manager tool that includes:

Is anyone aware if SAP is using this tool already? Will customers get access to it? This sounds like a replacement for the business case builder which I haven't seen either. It would be nice if customers had access to these sorts of discovery tools. Since we don't utilize SAP consulting, we are often not able to access this content as we initiate new initiatives. It would be nice to have access as it seems like we are internally selling their software for them.
