Where's The Daily Show with Jon Stewart !?!

Is it me?... It just seems that The Daily Show episodes are getting ready to download later and later - It use to be that they were available within several hours of broadcast (email in my inbox the next am) - but now.... it takes what appears to be several days now...
Anybody got any ideas on how to encourage CC to get off the couch and make the time to get the shows tot he iTunes store?

I was wondering what was up with the daily show multi-pass, but I dont think this is very cool. I still want to purchase a multi-pass but it wont let me. I sign in with my account, and click on multi-pass for the daily show and it says

I then click OK, and it begins to refresh the page in itunes, however once refreshed (everything looks the same) it happens all over again, and it wont let me purchase a multi-pass.

    Anyone notice that the The Daily Show with Jon Stewart has not been updated this week?.
    And I have just purchased a Multi-Pass.

    I have done EVERTHING under the sun to make this go away.  I cannot find that magic wand that will all me to eliminate my automatic renewal of the Daily Show w/Joh Stewart.   If not I have to pay 9.99 for every 8 episodes.  If I had the space on my iPad I would, but I don't so what can I do?     So, I'm sitting at the San Fran airport with my new iPhone. I have an hour before the flight. Mmmm, I wonder if I can download the Daily Show w/ Jon Stewart to my iPhone and watch it. Go to iTunes, do a search...and nothing. What? There's podcasts called Daily this and Daily that...but no Daily Show. I can download it from my Mac via iTunes at home to the iPhone, but not directly through the iTunes app on the phone. Is this right, or I'm I missing something? Thank you in advance for your help.

    Thanks. OK, I am missing something. If I go to the iTunes app on my iPhone on the G3 network (NOT the iTunes on my Mac) and type in "daily" I get "a daily anthem" "a daily routine" "a daily operation" etc. The options at the bottom of the app only list "Featured - Top Ten - Search - Podcasts - Downloads". Sorry to be so dense about this-- but your results do not appear. Are you in the iPhone iTunes App?

    Can I throw this out as a suggestion for BT Vision/Comedy Central now that More 4 have dumped it.
    I know the viewing figures weren't huge, but it did have a loyal following.

    I used to love watching that, but fell out of the habit. It's topical though, so I wouldn't want to watch it more than a day or two after it's broadcast. It's one of these programmes that, when it was broadcast, I wished the series record had an auto delete feature for so that it would only keep the last one or two recordings.

    I've purchased 2 Daily Passes in the last month for the Daily Show and have been waiting for new episodes. Anyone know what the schedule is for new episodes to come on line?
    It's bizarre that Apple doesn't have a que for iTines multipasses to show when the next episodes are scheduled to come online and how many are left in your pass.
    This is a really horrible user experience.

    I understand they have - its yet another iTunes muck up! As mentioned in the OP, we missed a whole week two weeks ago as they couldn't get multi-pass to work!

  • What happened to The Daily Show and Colbert Report in iTunes Store?

    I was looking on iTunes today and couldn't find ANY recent episodes of The Daily Show with Jon Stewart available for download and couldn't purchase the 04/07/09 episode or another earlier episode I put on my "wish list". The same thing seems to be happening with The Colbert Report. Was there an announcement by iTunes that the shows are no longer going to be available or are they in the middle of updating their content? Why aren't older episodes available for download?
    Who do you contact about the iTunes store/content?

    Okay, for some reason, I tried this yesterday at least six times and it did not even change the settings. Today, I went into the Import Settings and changed it to mp3 encoder, hit 'OK', then hit 'OK' in the preference menu (same thing I did yesterday) and it suddenly decided to show up. That was weird... Sorry, but thanks for writing anyway. I don't know what happened...

    The Daily Show with John Stewart has just been taken off the FIOS/Comedy Central programming! Are you kidding me? This is an award-winning news commentary show...in an election year!! Either there's a contract negotiation going on or some right-wing "decider-in-chief" has lost his mind. I purchase the FIOS package I have, based on the shows I watch regularly. This is one of them. Do I get a rebate or do I need to look for another carrier? I'm smokin' over this one.

    They (and their shows) have taken vacations before at the same time in the past.
    Per both websites, new episodes return, Tuesday, June 5th. 

  • Video Glitch in the Daily Show 3/20

    I experienced a glitch at about 4:34 (time in episode) during my watching of the Daily Show for 3/20 yesterday. After the glitch, all of the audio timing was off with the video. Meaning Jon Stewart was mouthing words that I heard a couple seconds later. If anybody has any solutions to this problem help is appreciated.

    Try to clear the Flash local storage and settings or at least the settings for the Comedy Central website.

  • The Daily Show Multi-Pass: how does this work?

    I subscribed to the Daily Show Multi-Pass. The store said it was busy and try again later. So I thought I'd do it later but meanwhile got an email saying I had the multi-pass and 9.99 has been deducted from my account!
    The email has a link to view account preferences. It says that 2 of the 16 episodes have been downloaded - nothing has been downloaded (and only one show is currently available).
    According to the email: "You will receive an email when future episodes of The Daily Show are available and the episodes will be downloaded automatically to the account listed above the next time you sign in to iTunes." What? When is that?
    It would be great if this worked with RSS like podcasts instead of some mysterious download time.
    Is this working for anyone?

    Okay here's what you have to do: Go to the Music
    Store, and click the button with your e-mail address
    at the top right (below "browse"). Then click "Sign
    out" in the popup. Then click where your e-mail
    address used to be to sign in again. Your episode
    will start downloading.
    This is a stupid way for Apple to do it, but at least
    it technically works so until they make it easier
    this is what we're going to have to do every day.
    Argh!
    Hmmm...when I did the above, it ran through the "Checking for purchases" before starting the download. So I wonder if doing the "Check for purchases..." selection under the Advanced menu would do the same thing without the hassle of logging out and in. I'll give it a try tomorrow...

    Will this be permanent?

    Sorry, but you don't. None of us here, who are all just fellow users, know why the Daily Show was removed from any iTunes Store. It was certainly by request of the owner(s) of the show, but what their reasons are none of us here can say and Apple never comments on the reasons for lack of availability of any content.
