Where's the Denim update?

Where's the Denim update? I'm in the US and have a Lumia Icon. It's the middle of March and I still don't have it. I got an update just last night for the "extras + info" app in the Windows Store, and now it *says* I'm on Denim...but I haven't had an actual system update through "phone update" yet.

I only stumbled across this general problem, so I'm not entirely up on the history. Do you know if this is connected in any way possibly to installing and running iTunes 6.0.x BEFORE installing the QT 7.0.x update? The original iTunes/QT updates specifically instructed to install QT before installing iTunes (or actually before running it for the first time.)
I'm wondering if the problem is arising because of either not installing QT 7 and/or using an earlier version of iTunes or installing iTunes 6 and using it before or without installing QT 7.
Dr. Smoke believes there may be some problem associated with the version of iTunes and the corruption of the Help Viewer caches that leads to the common loss of Help functionality. I'm wondering if all this may be in some way connected.

When will the Lumia Icon get the Denim Update?

The Denim Update will arrive for the Lumia Icon in early 2015. It just dropped today for Lumia 928 and Lumia 822: Verizon announces Windows Phone 8.1 Update 1 to Lumia 928, Lumia 822 | Windows Central.

So it appears that Lumia Cyan was skipped as some of us speculated in the forums.

At this point Verizon should just let Microsoft deliver firmware directly to Lumia ICON users, like Apple delivers firmware updates to iPhone users, without carrier approval since Verizon doesn't even sell the ICON anymore.
Very disappointed in Verizon and Microsoft.
I wonder if the preview for developers version will receive the Denim update on the ICON any sooner than "early 2015"...

OK, I stand corrected -- and I'm thrilled about that!! According to Lumia Conversations, Verizon will be rolling out Denim to those that missed Cyan:

I'm not thrilled about us Icon owners being last in line and waiting until 2015, but it's better than waiting for a Cyan update that will never come.

i have itunes 7.0.2 which i assume is the same thing as 7.0 and whenever i plug in my ipod, click on the ipod icon, and go to summary tab, the only options i get are "sync music: All songs or playlists" or "sync music: selected playlists." there's no option for "only sync checked items." it's very frusterating. could you please give me very direct instructions on how to get only checked music onto my ipod? thanksss.

How do I play Windows Phone Videos on Windows 7 after I get the Denim Update?

Since receiving the Denim update, new videos recorded on my phone no longer play on windows 7. I have the latest Microsoft Codec installed and verified that my Windows Media Player was configured correctly using the tools available from Microsoft support

I can play new videos recorded on my Lumia Icon (post Denim) on my Surface 2, Surface Pro (Windows 8.1) and Windows 10 computers out of the box but not on a fully updated Windows 7 PC. I have not changed my phone's video settings since receiving
the Denim update, but videos recorded prior to the update can be played on Windows 7 and those recorded after the update cannot. This applies to both 1080p 30fps and the new 4K (2160p 30fps) format.
I also searched MS download site for any applicable codecs and found that nothing has been updated since April 2014.
Did anyone test this update with Windows 7?????

I see no reason to buy WinOnX, when I make a totally free tool called Wineskin that well let you do much more... if you really want to pay for something, Crossover is more expensive, but is MUCH MUCH more user friendly, as well as actual Wine devs work for them, so the money helps make Wine better... and WinOnX seems like a few people trying to cash in on Wine when they don't even do anything with it. Maybe they do more, but if they do, they sure don't say they do.
Its possible to make a Wineskin app with Steam and some working games in it... but Intel HD 3000 isn't the best graphics to have for anything Wine based.
VirutalBox has several graphics issues. If you really want to run Windows in a virtual machine with gaming in mind, you'd want to buy Parallels 7, since nothing else is close to it yet in performance and compatibility with games.

Where is the software updates located in OS 10.10? Like, Pages, iPhone, etc.?? I checked the /Library/Updates/ but only 1MB+ there which doesn't make sense to me. Are these updates located anywhere else?
What if it is a upgrade from an older version of OS X? What would be the location?
Looks like /Library/Updates is not the only storage for software updates?
Would different software updates be under different directory?

Where is the new update for N95-3 and N95-4? i have this two phones and i fell disappoint and mad becuz i bought this expensive cellphone and we have no support from Nokia.. this is no fair we are consumers like any other in the world. And the european model of N95 has a lot of updates and we r exent of the updates and support.. thats no fair my cellphone cost a lot of money and no support? only one update for year?.. my cellphone N95-4 compared to the European model is a garbage. Because the European added many things with update.. like autorotate and improve speed.. im about not to buy another Nokia because we have no support !! Nokia set aside the American market.

Actually, it's the American market that set Nokia aside.
Nokia initially refused to allow network operators to customize their phones' firmware. Consequently, American network operators all but stopped buying Nokia phones. Nokia has since relented and does carry out a certain amount of trade in America now, but they're nowhere near as popular over there as they are elsewhere in the world.
Add their lower popularity in America to the fact that you all use different frequency bands from the rest of the world, which means a different set of hardware, and you begin to understand why the American market is a bit of a bugbear and why Americanised products are low priority. If American networks followed the same standards as elsewhere in the world you'd all benefit from the same updates.
Note that this is just personal speculation and not necessarily Nokia's official standpoint. I am not a Nokia employee.

When i have multiple apps to be updated it lists all in a tab in iTunes that says apps/my app updates. Where is this tab in iTunes?
I would really like to find it because i like to see whats new in the version and when I click on the app to see whats in the update it doesnt go back to the 'my apps update' tab and I have to go back to applications click check for updates each time.

i found it last night... i think... i went into downloads and it said i had so many updates. (down the bottom of the screen) so i clicked it and it took me to a new page that had all the little app pictures and a the little update thing next to it... is that what you are looking for? if not im sorry!

So, I don't see an update option anywhere on my Playbook. Are they staggering the updates or what? This is pretty annoying. I've restarted it thrice now and still nothing appears.
I downloaded the Bridge update for my Torch and now I'm hearing texts come through also on my Playbook. There is the exclamation mark in the top left corner and when I click it, it shows me a preview of the text message, but when I click it, it starts to open Bridge but glitches and closes.
The thing is, is that I don't have the new update, so it's not working properly. It's demented. I can't find the update for my Playbook. There's no notification, yet I still get glitchy texts coming through.

On your PlayBook, click on the upper right Options icon... looks like a gear or cog.
Scroll down and touch Software Updates and then touch check for Updates.

The article to which responds states that "this update" supersedes all others. But there is no link to an update. What am I missing here?

I don't know how much you know about this area, so you may already be aware of some or all of the following; I'm not entirely certain of what you're asking, and I don't know how familiar you are with this topic. No offense is intended.
First, Java is distinct from Javascript; the two are entirely separate, and there have been no changes to Javascript support.
I'm also going to assume that your question is related to the Java security morass and the Java HT5242 tech-note; to the current Java security update.
If so, then recognize that Java is not installed by default on OS X 10.7 and later. If you're not getting offered the update, then you either don't have Java installed, or the update has already been installed, or something has gotten confused.
If you do have Java installed, then Apple Software Update was offering the Java updates (again, only if Java is installed), though Apple has deprecated its support for Java; you'll eventually need to fetch all future updates directly from Oracle.
This parallels the case for (for instance) updates to Adobe Flash Player on OS X. Including the automatic-disable mechanisms, if down-revision versions are detected, AFAIK.
There have been some issues around changes with the Java web plug-in, too; IIRC, that got disabled. And resolving that likely requires a trip over to the Oracle Java web site to sort out. There were (and are) various related discussions in the archives of the Apple OS X Java mailing list, too.

Where is the Record Update Form Wizard in DWCC?

Trying to follow online help but it doesn't relate to DWCC. A tutorial I found for CS6 suggests that it's in Insert > Data Objects > Update Record > Record Update Form Wizard but in DWCC there is no "Data Objects" option in the Insert menu.
By the way, I'm looking for the wizard not the straight Update behaviour which I'm aware is in the Server Behaviours panel.

EDIT: Just spoke to Adobe "support" by chat about this and they were absolutely useless. The directed me to the article that I've highlighted above as being for CS6, which isn't helpful because "Data Objects" isn't in the Insert menu in DWCC, and when I pointed that out they gave me this link to try: http://www.adobe.com/devnet/
Seriously? Is this the best I can hope for from Adobe support? It was clear that the operative was just doing Google searches for the answers as opposed to actually knowing the software that they represent. Really disappointing support.

"Database functionality was removed from DWCC." - I use database functionality a lot so this is a real let down. Why has it been removed when it seems so integral to a lot of modern websites and web applications?
I've got the Legacy Extension, or Depracated_ServersBehaviours panel extension, but that does not bring back the Record Update Form Wizard.
Tutorials as far as CS6 reference the Record Update Form Wizard but I'm guessing that it has just been completely dropped in DWCC - not that anyone from Adobe know that one way or another. The official "support" I received earlier was a complete joke (some guy doing Google searches whilst saying - "I'm just verifying your account").
I'm quite handy with Google myself so maybe there's an opportunity for me to move into a career as an Adobe support technician.
I'll have to find a third party extension then I guess. Thanks for the advice.

Where's the App Updater on the N79?

This might be a T-Mobile software quirk, but I can't find the App Updater on my N79. I've read that it exists for this phone, but I don't seem to have it. How can I get it?

Have you got the v20 or newer firmware?
I believe that is when they added it for that model, like they did with the 5800 and N96.
Some other t-mobile branded models appear to lack the app updater, even though they have the required firmware.

Where are the software update files located?

Because I get charged for my download traffic (don't ask--one of the drawbacks of living in the country), I set my software update preference to download the latest 10.5.4 update. That way I can then transfer the update file to our other computers. However, I can't find where Apple sticks the file.

Hello John,
That ability to "Install and keep package" in Software Update, doesn't work.
It use to be an extremely useful thing, but now no longer works in Leopard. Instead you will have to download the Update from the Apple site and then you will be able to keep it, and only use Software Update to tell you want you need.
In 10.3, not sure about 10.4 I could collect all packages, which I would then burn onto a CD. But alas, no more.
