Where's the option to select Google Talk and Yahoo...

Where's the option to select Google Talk and Yahoo Messenger? When I click on "Set up Chat" I only get the options to install Gizmo5 and Vyke Mobile.

Open Power Manager, select Advanced View, select Battery tab, click on Battery Maintenance. I have read on this forum that some folks have set their thresholds at start charge ~40%, end charge ~80%.

You both need to using AIM valid name or both using Jabber based IDs like FaceBook or GoogleTalk (oor Yahoo if you must)
Apple's @mac.com and @me.com are Valid AIM names as well as regular AIM names.
Jabber IDs are gained from non centralised servers and there are thousands of Public and private servers issuing IDs
Google Mail with "Talk" enabled on your Accounts settings or a FaceBook account with "Chat" enabled are valid Jabber IDs
Jabber IDs are rarely emails (Google is an exception).
However they follow the email format which means the AIM Buddy list will "accept" them format wise
(the same is true to some extent the other way round)

I just tried deleteing every smart mailbox and re-constituting a few. This went OK until I made one that had to reference a Gmail IMAP 'folder' and as soon I did that ... BAM! ... the infinite spinner appears.

ITunes: where is the option to sync music without iCloud ????

I have 3000+ songs in my iTunes account on my mac Mini
I upgraded to iO6 and now, the only option I have to sync my music that I see is with iCloud. I no longer have an option to sync the music on my computer directly to my iPhone.
iClould doesn't work at 41,000' with no wi-fi and no cell service, or when I am camping in remote areas.
Where is the option in iTunes to sync music from a computer to a iPhone or other device?

I don't have Mountain Lion, and there is no option to "Sync Music" when I plug my iPhone in. I have had a Powerbook G4 since 2005, and have being using iTunes since 2005 with multiple iPods, iPhones.
There simply isn't an option to sync my music with my iPhone 4S.
I do see the ability to sync contacts, photos, but when I click on the music tab under iTunes, I see this image:
I have never seen this option before and would love to see the option to "Sync All Music", "Syn All Playlist" and "Sync Selected Playlists" or whateve the old screen options where.
Do you really think this is a iOS 10.7.5 issue vs 10.8 (Mountain Lion)?

I am about to buy a MacBookPro in Singapore. When I reach the "Configure your 13-inch MBP w/ Retina display" page I don't have the option of selecting a Keyboard. Instead, it says: Backlit Keyboard (Int'l English). Do you know what does that mean?

Where is the option "Store only headlines" in Mail.app on Mavericks? I used to store all messages on gmail servers. Mail.app on Mountain Lion has feature to load only headlines of e-mails from Gmail. Now It's gone and with new OS Mavericks, I've got 10Gb of mail on my Mac locally.

This problem is slowly killing my machine! I 'upgraded' to a better spec machine so I could synch my phone would you believe it. I couldn't synch my phone and my laptop with a cable, that was fankly incredible.
Now I have a new machine and first thing I did was install mavericks, and now mac mail spends all it's time dowloading mail from may mail accounts. I have 4 imap gmail accounts set up and mail is using 56GB on my local disc to store them.
There use to be an option to limit the disc storage I think 5GB would be quite enough to hald the last few months email locally. Question is how do I set that limit in mavericks. Is there some plist I can edit or something.
Looking at the activity window it seems to spend A LOT of time
"updating cache directory"
I don't think I even have 56GB staore on the server, so how is it possible that I have more on the local copy?

You'll find the Crop Tool on the Toolbar. It might be behind the Slice or Perspective Crop tool.

The option to send reset info will only appear if you have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) set up on your account. I have no idea of what you mean by needing to click on the green button. I was assuming you meant Photoshop Elements. I'm not sure what "Adobe Essentials" is, but for sure there is a tool options button on the bottom of the Photoshop Elements 11 window, whether it is maximized or not:

Hen verifying my billing information it will not give me the option to select a Canadian postal code.

Where is the option for OCR?

We am trying to highlight words in a PDF attachment to an email. The user has Adobe Standard 8 or 9. The menu bar at the top only has File, Edit, View, Window. Where is the option to choose OCR recognition? I know it is in "Document" but on the user's computer "Document" does not show up on the menu bar.

I imported some calendar entries from MS Outlook onto my 5800, of which most were set to repeat every month.
Those items successfully repeat on the device but on creating a new ToDo item using the device's calendar app, there is no option to set repeating occurrence!

Just found an alternative that I thought was possible but wanted to confirm.
Set yourself up a Nokia account on www.ovi.com and set up an OVI Sync account. Sync the phone to the online account to start with.
Then, using the online interface to OVI Sync you can create an event that can be repeated weekly among other things. Re-sync the phone and that repeating event will be entered into your calendar.

I'd be interested to know where you "found an invoice"!
The only options I know are to print from the email when it comes, or to print a screenshot from your Purchase History. (There is no print option per se on the Purchase History.)
