I would like to take SAP training and get a job in SAP
my background:
1. B. Eng. (manufacturing)
2. MBA (US), MIS
3. MA Quant
4. ABD Economics
5. about 12 years of software development, pretty much SDLC, Project management as well
6. OOP much more
Although I am working in the US as a permanent employee, I would be a great contributor to SAP team in a company. I wonder if any company would consider me giving training and working for them. I am a US Green card holder an I am willing to relocate anywhere. Thank you

it is recommended to take up SAP-BW, as it requires technical skill & functional skill. Based on your software experience, technical skill will be strong & based on your MBA in MIS, it would be an added advantage, as BW is more focused twards reports.

the *.jar file thing is a common problem in Java. One simple solution to the problem is by saving the *.jar file in the C:\j2sdk1.4.0\jre\lib\ext\ folder. This directory is an extension to the regular java files and by doing this, java will look in this directory if you import some other files not included in the java package. This does not work if you are using JBuilder, couse JBuilder installs its own jsdk, which is uses, probably under the JBuilder folder.

Where shall i place a file like libeftapi.so.1.1.8 on LINUX OS?

I have here a file , i think a library to be used by a demo program of a supplier providing serial interface api that will run on Linux. e.g. libeftapi.so.1.1.3 . Where shall I place this on Linux system??? what subdirectory? Or shall i place it in my JDK1.4\lib director(ies)? i have tried copying this file to different subdirectories in linux but still arrive at the same RUN-TIME error...

it is a shared library...
Look in a file like: /etc/ld.so.conf and placeit
in
one of the direcories...
f.e: /usr/local/libthanks i got it. i've placed them at Jbuilder/lib
subdir.
it worked... thnxbut another problem is that when i my jar file in
linux shell (out of jbuilder ide), it produces the
same run time error.. please help againmy jar file wont run in the linux terminal.

Where shall I connect a backup drive - ATA 33 or 66?

Hello there,
For the sake of performance (as I would like to believe), I only connect one (1) drive to each controller. My boot drive (system and applications) is connected to a Firmtek SATA PCI card, my documents drive to the ATA100 controller, and my DVD drives are both connected to the ATA66 controller (needed for 16X burning speed; at least in my system with my Pioneer burners).
So where shall I connect my backup drive? My options are as follows:
1. use the available ATA33 controller or
2. use a spare Sonnet ATA66 PCI card
Keep in mind that this drive will simply be used for copying files into it. I do have BIG movie and DVD files that need backup from time to time. I the ATA33 significantly slower that its 66 counterpart?

Just to let you know I had the same problem.
MSI K7N2 Delta ILSR Mobo
AMD Barton 2700XP Processor
1GB RAM
40gb Seagate Barracuda ATA drive on IDE 1 with W2K on it.
Sony DVD burner on IDE1 (slave)
Yamaha CD burner CRW3200 on IDE 2 (master)
Sony DVD-ROM on IDE2 (slave)
only one 160GB Seagate Barracuda SATA
Since plugging the SATA drive (recognized), the explorer was experiencing freeze states and I couldn't do anything else than rebooting the PC. I updated the Promise SATA software using Live Update and after the reboot, the system would continuously reboot when W2K was loaded and it was opening the profile.
Rebooted in safe mode and removed the promise SATA raid utility and now it's OK. Will wait and see if it happens again. Will let you know.
No raid setup anyway. Used the auto array setup using CTRL+F and that was it.

i designed a query by using WEb query wizard. after saving the query where sahll i get the URL do run that query in browser.

In the web publisher there is an option to copy the URL to the clipboard or you can execute the query and copy the URL.

Where shall I place my comiled servlet

Hello friends, I have written a simple servlet, compiled it and placed in a folder called web-inf/classes and I have placed sevlet.jar file in web-inf/lib folder. I'm using a Tomcat5.5 version and my tomcat server is running and when I'm trying to call my servlet is with an URL like this gives an error

Where to put my wireless configuration commands?

I figured out that to load my wireless card I need:
modprobe rt61
ifconfig wlan0 up
iwconfig wlan0 essid ...
iwpriv wlan0 set ...
iwpriv wlan0 set ...
dhcpcd wlan0
Now I wonder what is the best way to save these commands (in some form) in the boot up process or the network loader?
Where shall I put them or what to change in configuration files to make it work?

If it wasn't for those iwpriv commands, you could use the standard Arch network config. With them, however, you'll need to do something a bit hackier. Are you sure the modprobe is required? Udev should detect the device, and autoload the module.
That aside, you can either put the commands in /etc/rc.local, or you can write a custom wifi init script in /etc/rc.d/ and run it from the DAEMONS array in /etc/rc.conf. Here's one I used (briefly) with the legacy rt73 usb driver - static instead of dhcp, but you get the idea.
Now that the question is answered, I would strongly recommend that you try the rt2x00-cvs driver in the unstable repo. I'm now using it with the same Ralink-based USB device, and it's going well - no iwpriv awkwardness, just a nice clean network profile or two.

Where to implement my Business Logic in ADF?

Hi,
I am new to Oracle ADF. I found this forum very useful to get my queries and doubts answered. Thanks to the participants.
I am basically from Struts background,
Where i design my UI in jsp pages using Struts tags,
Actions and some utility classes handles my most of the business logic (generally called as Business Layer)
Then i have custom DAOs or Data Layer to query or update the data in database.
Now as I am into new Project and I have to learn Oracle ADF.
I started learning this by following some questions in the forums and various sites (from Google).
I got info on How to create Entity Objects, Value objects etc.
But my major doubt is where shall i write my Business Logic in this stack?
I can easily drag and drop my data controls into my JSF page and create table, forms or charts. But if i have a multi line business logic, say for a Submit button, In which i may be doing the following steps -
a. Get data pertaining to user role , department, his tenure in the department etc
b. On submit do processing based on data collected in above step.
c. update data in data base.
d. initiate an approval process
e. call some business process for Approval
f. Audit Trail
g. Transaction handling
and so many other steps (I know most of you will have gone through these situation before starting work on ADF)
Now, in the above scenario in Oracle ADF layers where shall i write this whole bunch of logic or steps and then forward the user the page depending upon the outcome of this logic.
Please let me know where to write all this??

Generally speaking all of that code would reside in the app module Impl classes or the View object Impl classes - for VOs and AMs you can expose subclasses and add code in there - you can then define whether any of your methods should be exposed to the client, in which case they appear in the Data Controls panel as operations.
General word of advice -keep business logic code in the Model - don't be tempted to start trying to access your AMs and do any of this stuff from the ViewController project. Keep it nice and simple and just access ALL the business logic code through ADF Model.

Can some one help me on the following problem?
I am using a DOM paser and I need to print out the modified xml file. So I want to use the write funcition defined in the com.sun.xml.tree.XmlDocument library. But this package is NOT included in JAXP package. Where shall I get this om.sun.xml.tree.XmlDocument library?

From where to listen the recorded messages?

We have a network which consists of CUCM, UCCX, AQM, CUC. During after hours, if someone calls, the IVR will ask to press * to record a message. But from where shall we listen to these recorded messages?

That wouldn't be enough information to answer your question.
Are you an administrator of the phone system or a supervisor?
All of those products are capable of recording a phone call, but since you mentioned the IVR, it's like narrowed down to UCCX and/or AQM.
UCCX is playing the IVR for sure, and cannot record the call in the IVR, only once it lands on the Agent, which really just leaves AQM. But I'm guessing here, based on limited information.
If you also agree that it's AQM that is doing the recordings, which I'm not even positive it can record a call at the IVR level, then you would need to access the web interface for AQM to listen to the recordings.
If you post your IVR script from UCCX, we could see what is happening after the user presses *. Such as sending an HTTP POST to AQM or the like.
