I bought my iphone 3gs from apple online store and found that only Apple store are doing the warranty service and repair, other apple authorize store is not. there is no Apple store around Perth, what should i do? post it back to Apple store at Sydney or?

Call them with the problem and they should let you send it to them to get fixed.

How do I obtain service for my iPhone?
The iPhone support site has troubleshooting articles to help you solve your iPhone issue on your own. If you have reviewed those articles and still need service for your iPhone, you can contact your carrierif you purchased your iPhone from a Malaysia carrier or contact Apple if you purchased your iPhone from the Apple Online Store. Note: There may be a fee for diagnostic service. Please do not send any accessories with your iPhone because they will not be returned to you.

  • Where should I issue this command

    Hi all,
I'm configuring a logical standby database (Oracle 10g R2 on Linux 4.5). In the steps, I should convert to a Logical Standby Database and thus the following command should be issued:
ALTER DATABASE RECOVER TO LOGICAL STANDBY db_name;My question is: if I have db1 as the primary database and db2 as the standby one, on which database should I issue the command? what would be the value of db_name?
    Thanks in advance.

I can sort of see why this section of the manual (http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/server.102/b14239/create_ls.htm#i92346) where it says:
This section describes how to prepare the physical standby database to transition to a logical standby database. It contains the following topics:
    and
The redo logs contain the information necessary to convert your physical standby database to a logical standby database. To continue applying redo data to the physical standby database until it is ready to convert to a logical standby database, issue the following SQL statement:
was not clear enough to state definitely that you do the command on the Physical Standby.
The preceding section header says: 4.2.3 Prepare the Primary Database to Support a Logical Standby Database
And then it goes to: 4.2.4 Transition to a Logical Standby Database
I can see where it might look like we're still on the Primary database. I checked the 11.2 manual and it is pretty much the same so I'll file a doc bug to try and clean this up.
    Thanks.

  • Where should I buy my iphone?

I usually buy stuff on Amazon, but since iphone 4 isn't for sale there, what is the best place to buy it? Should I go with AT&T for my phone service?

I would try Apple as well. And you would have to go with AT&T for your phone service.

  • Where Should I Buy The iPhone?

I'm Thinking of going to the apple store to purchase my iPhone, will the apple store have the iPhone in stock? Or should i buy online.

I was in the same predicament this week. I had sold my Nexus One thinking I could find the iPhone 4 in stock since my brother bought his days before from an Apple Store. The first day I called all AT&Ts (only pre-order), Best Buys (out of stock), Radio Shacks(dude said they dont sell them), Walmarts (no stock for two weeks), and of course Apple Stores (they get "daily" shipments but don't know how many) in my area with no luck. The second day in the morning, frustrated I was about to order one online from ATT (a 7-10 business day wait) when I decided to start calling again....sure enough around 11am I called the closest store (for the second time that day, I had called at opening time 10am) they had them BUT only the 32GB.
Thinking I would have to wait days if not weeks for the 16GB I went ahead and bought it. Then one day after that I called out of curiousity again, and what do you know! They had both 16GB and 32GB! So I went in and exchanged the 32GB I had bought the day before.
_Moral of the story: Best chance is to call Apple Stores everyday at least twice a day_. By noon they will know whether they have them or not for the day. They get daily shipments.
TOTAL WAIT TIME: 2 days for 32GB, 3 days for 16GB (my preference).

  • I'm from israel and i need to use my iphone Warranty Where should I send the device?

    hi,
i'm from israel and i need to use my iphone Warranty Where should I send the device to fix some problem?

Depends on where the device was purchased.
If it was purchased in Israel, take it to an authorized service center in Israel.
If it was purchased elsewhere, you'll need to take it back to the country it was purchased in for support.

What happens if you go to iTunes > File > Devices, do you get the option to Sync iPhone?
You could try a reinstall of iTunes. OS X Yosemite: Reinstall apps that came with your Mac

    Welcome to the Apple community.
The apps you have purchased for your mobile device will not work on a computer. You will need to download the appropriate versions on your Mac from the Mac apps store.

  • Unlocked iPhone Warranty NOT VALID in Colombia

    Hello,
I bought an unlocked iPhone on june 22 (less than a month ago) and the Home Button doesn't work. I bought it in the 5th Avenue Store on NY and I brought it to Colombia.
For two days (literaly), the phone was working perfectly, but now the home button doesn't work (looks like this is a known issue https://discussions.apple.com/thread/2798587?start=30&tstart=0 ).
I checked the Apple's Support page for warranty and technical service and it said that the Carriers were the ones that should take care of the problems. I went to Comcel (http://www.comcel.com  -  listed in Apple's official support site) and they told me that they were NOT an official SUPPORT entity (only a "seller" entity) and that they were not going (and in fact didn't) to look at the phone because I did not buy the phone with them.
I think that is absurd. You offer global warranty but that seems to be a lie here in Colombia. All the Apple Stores in Medellín (the city where I live) say that the carriers are the ones that should give the support but the carriers (Comcel exactly) says that they won't.
Did I spend over 600USD in a phone that didn't work for 2 weeks and that has no warranty? I didn't use the phone for 3 days before it got broken.
I would love to know what to do. I'm pretty sure the Carrier SHOULD take the phone and change it without problems, but they just won't and is useless to argue there.
    Thanks a lot,
    María Carlota Isaza.

EU countries are the exception.  Any iPhone purchased from an official retailer in an EU country can obtain warranty service in any EU country per Apple, see here.
For all other iPhones, warranty is country specific.  This is exactly why most people recommend that users purchase iPhones in the country in which they intend to use them.  There have been rare cases where users outside of their home country have gotten devices replaced... but that is extremely rare.

  • Looking to have my 2 y o macbook pro cleaned (dust removal and such). I live in Loughborough(Leicester), where should I take it?

I tend to ramble when it comes to asking questions so I'll just sum it up briefly before I add any further details:
I am looking to have my macbook pro (I believe late 2011 version-out of warranty) cleaned inside out: dust removed, keyboard cleaned all that stuff-not by me. I would like to know where should I take it for this job in either of these locations: Loughborough, London or Maidenhead, and also (if anybody knows from their experience) how much would this cost? Lastly, in Apple Stores do you get a warranty for the service they provide?
Now for my blather...I mean extended version:
I had my macbook pro for 2 years now and I must admit I didn't take good care of it, as I maybe should have. By this I mean I never dropped it or spilled anything on it, but I'm pretty sure it got clogged up inside with a lot of dust by now and maybe some crumbs underneath my keyboard as well, so I'm looking to have it cleaned inside out- by a professional.
I never took it to a service before, so I really have no idea where's the best place to take it. I am not familiar with terms such as "genius bars" and after googling apple authorised services in the UK, I didn't end up with anything "certain"
Location-wise, I am studying in Loughborough (Leicestershire), but my dad works in Maidenhead and I'll be visiting him next week. I will also be for a day in London (although it'll be a Sunday- December 21st), so any service around these locations will work for me.
I would also like to point out one thing: I know some might suggest to clean it myself, but when it comes to anything IT-ish (especially a £900 macbook pro, I would rather leave it in the hands of a professional); even if let's say I cleaned the keyboard, I would still want to have the dust removed from the inside- and I am certainly not doing that. I'm a 19 year old university student with 0 experience and my time doesn't allow me to become an "apple genius" overnight.
Thank you for taking the time to go through my question!

Your MBP should be able to support 8GB (unless yours is an early 08 then you're stuck at 6GB).  I upgraded my old late 08 MB to 8GB.
SSD are a plus if you like speed.  Having 8GB and an SSD will improve the performance of your MBP.
I like OCZ SSD products but have heard some issues with older MBP.
Sandisk, Crucial and Kingston SSD tends to be more reliable and less compaibility issues with older MBP.
    Hope that helps..

  • Where can I get my iphone 4S fixed? I can't get any help! Not even from Apple!

My sim card reader in my iphone 4S is damaged and does not read my SIM card. Unfortunately, my phone carrier will not help me. I went to the Mac Store, they told me it had to be fixed but can't do it through them. I tried Apple website and no luck. I even called both the Support and the main Apple corporate head office in Cupertino which is closed even if its past 8 Am pacific time.  The issue is that I am customer in Panama City, Republic of Panama. There is no support or any post purchase service from Apple here. I am willing to ship my phone to where ever Apple wants to get it fixed. If I only could ask someone from Apple...

Assuming you purchased the iPhone in the USA then you can only obtain serice and support IN the USA
You can not mail or courier the iPhone to Apple they do not accept international service requests
Either take the iPhone to an Apple store in US or mail it to a friend or relative in US for them to handle the repair and then return the iphone to you
If you purchased from another country then exactly the same procedure must happen but to that country Apple Store
Tha iphone warranty and post warranty service is not international
