Where so I find application support on iOS 10.8.4

I know where to find application support on about another mac but not my mac which is so updated. If anyone could give me input soon that would be helpful.

You might need to explain in more detail what you are after - it's not quite clear.
Do you mean the Application Support folder?
There are two.  They can be opened by pasting each of these paths into the "Go to Folder..." dialog in the Finder > Go menu.
/Library/Application Support
~/Library/Application Support
(The tilde tells your mac to start in the Home folder of your account.)
You can also highlight each of the paths (or triple-click them), then control click, then Services, then Reveal.

  • Upgraded to Lion - where are the Library & Application Support folders ?

Where are the Library & Application Support folders that were available in Leopard 10.5.8 ?

They're in the same location as before, but you need to use a method such as choosing Go to Folder from the Finder's Go menu and providing ~/Library/Application Support/ as the path.

  • Where to find application support folder?

Just upgraded from Snow Leopard to Mountain Lion and I'm unable to locate my application support folder. I remember having to go to library then application support folder was in it but now its gone missing. Just need a step by step tutorial to locate it. Thanks,
                                                                                    Todd

NOTE: In Lion and Mountain Lion the Home/Library folder is now invisible. To make it permanently visible enter the following in the Terminal application window: chflags nohidden ~/Library and hit the Enter button - 10.7: Un-hide the User Library folder.
Once it's visible you'll be able to see the Applicaitons Support folder.
    Or in the Finder hold down the Option key and use the Go ➙ Library menu option;

  • How to find Application Support from external hard drive backup.

I have an external hard drive which I used with time machine to backup my old computer. I've got a new Mac now, and I want to restore the Skype chat logs to my current computer. To do this I need to find the correct Application Support folder which contains Skype, however I can't navigate to it using Finder's "Go to folder" feature as that only searches locally and not on the external hard drive. How can I get to it?!
    Thanks!

Open the copy of your home folder on the external drive, choose Go to Folder, and provide exactly Library as the path; ~/Library is limited to your current home folder.

  • Find Application Support Folders That are Not Visible in Time Machine

I would like to restore an application support file and a preferences file that are no longer visible in the Finder or in Time Machine since I upgraded to 10.8. I was able to do this in the past and am a little frustrated I cannot do it now. I know how to find the folders on my computer using the Finder Go to Folder method, but cannot use this method to find the files in my Time Machine backup. Please help. Thanks!

See http://osxdaily.com/2011/07/04/show-library-directory-in-mac-os-x-lion/ and permanently unhide the user's Library. That should allow TM to update itself, making them visible, but maybe only in the latest updates. I don't use TM, so all I can point you for that is Pondini's TM FAQs.

  • Can't find Application Support from System in time machine

I played minecraft for quite a long while. The thing is, i clean installed mountain lion, and so i backed up. But in time machine folder i couldn't find Machintosh/Libarry/Applications Support and minecraft saved folder is inside =3= can anyone help me. Thanks for helping

Perhaps the file you are looking for is in your own Library/Application Support? Macintosh/Library/Application Support is the folder for all users. It's quite possible that it was saved there, but I would think a program would store individual user save files in the users's own Library.
To get there, hold down the Option (alt) key and select Library from the Go menu in Finder.
Once you have the Application Support Folder open, Enter Time Machine and restore the file from the Minecraft support folder.

  • I can't find application support!

Help! I am trying to do some work for a game, and I need application support. It's not under Library. I have OS X Lion, so does that make a diffrence. Is it possible to accidently delete it? Can i reinstall it or get it again?

There are two Applications Support folders. One in the /Library/ folder and one in the /Home/Library/ folder which in Lion is invisible. To see it open the Terminal application in the Utilities folder and paste the following at the prompt:
    chflags nohidden ~/Library
    Press RETURN.

  • Where do I find my photos after iOS 6 update?

I have just updated my 4th Gen iPod touch to iOS 6, possibly the first update since I got it! Unfortunately, I was unaware of the need to back up photos etc. before update - now they've all disappeared! I've read online of this occuring a lot, and I think I've got to the stage that they're just out of reach!
I'm in Settings>General>Usage>Photos & Camera.  For Camera Roll and Library there is 0 bytes, however down the bottom in the blue/grey bar it says '5.8GB available on Evan's iPod Touch' (the name of the iPod prior to update). However, I have no idea where they are or how to access them - please help!
    Thanks,
    Evan.

Sorry Evan that you have had trouble with the update.
Truth is, I have yet to update my 4th gen iPod Touch to iOS 6, so I don't know what will happen to mine, when I do.
Looking online, there seems to be a few issues, though it seems a vast majority of 4th gen owners had no problems at all with the upgrade.
Of course, none of this helps you with your problem, but hopefully this will: Did you ever connect your iPod Touch to iTunes on your computer? Generally, if you do, iTunes will automatically back up your iPod Touch. If you had turned on wireless syncing, then iTunes will make a backup whenever you plug your iPod Touch into a power source. To see the backup, go to iTunes. Go to Preferences and then in the resulting dialog box select "Devices." The last backup should be there. If you have one, it would be in the device backup list, in your case, as "Evan's iPod Touch." The backup would include all your photos in the camera roll.
If the backup is there, then you should be able to connect your iPod Touch to your computer, with iTunes open and then select restore from back up to get everything back on to your iPod Touch.
Check out this support article from Apple: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4946
If I were you, I might consider making a backup of your "Evan's iPod Touch" backup file by finding it (the support article above shows you where it is) and copying it and pasting it to the desktop. Then if all fails, you would have that.
Of course, if you enabled Time Machine you would already have that backup file. If you have a clone of your computer through Carbon Copy Cloner, or Super Duper, you would have a backup of that backup file.
Sorry! Can you tell that I am obsessed with backups? Not a bad thing as devices fail and backups are a good thing.
Of course, this is all moot if you computer does not recognize your iPod Touch. A couple of things to try: First hard reset your iPod Touch by holding in the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button simultaneously for 15 to 20 seconds. Next, try connecting your iPod Touch to a different USB port on your computer. Sometimes, just doing that gets the thing recognized. This has worked for me.
If all fails, then take it to Apple, and look very, very sad and be nice. Techs at the Genius bar have been very nice to me and fixed the last problem I had with one of my devices, a 5th generation iPod.
As for your photos. If you have iCloud and had enabled Photostream, then your lastest 1000 photos would be in the cloud. Yes? I hope so. If not.. hmm...
You could try a third party app such as Phone View to see if you can see what is on your iPod Touch. Such an app may well be able to pull the photos off your iPod Touch before you have to resort to restoring it and losing the photos.
Hope something here helps you solve the problem and allows you to get back to happy days with your device.
    Best wishes.

  • Where can I find the support for CC Switzerland? Has anyone a phone number where I can talk to real people?

I'm looking now for 30 minutes without finding a phone number to call. By pressing the SUPPORT button and then with a click on CC > Contact > Decisions to buy > Need further Help? Please contact us > a window opens saying "Ask the community". Well, here I am. It's a shame that nobody is available by phone. The FAQ's are not 100% satisfying and the question I have is not mentioned. Please, if somebody knows the phone number for Switzerland I really would appreciate. THANX!

    Hi, Atul
Thank you for your answer. I use now for almost 16 years Adobe products and would inform me about the possibilities to switch to CC. We are using multiple computers in different countries. Does my wife need to have a separate account or can I buy a full license and we can use all the software we need on all our computers? I have 2 accounts. One in Switzerland and a main account in France. If I decide for CC I need at least CS3 software running on one of my computers. What, if I will sign a CC contract with my Swiss account, but only on my French account valid CS software is registered?
I prefer to talk to an Adobe Sales Manager by phone. Why can't I find a phone number on the Adobe website? Why do I need to write in English? The software I use is all in German. Thank you for your help!

  • Where Can I Find a Support Article...

I have always wanted to know since I have had a MBP if there is any basic maintenance tasks that I should do that would help my MBP run better.  I have heard that holding down the "Shift" key after hearing the start-up tone until the gear and the progress bar are on the gray screen will help do some maintenance.  Of course there were others, but mostly there were other people who posted that those do nothing.  One guy told me to leave my MBP on all night so it can do the maintenance because that is when the MBP is set to do the "normal" maintenance work on a MBP.  I have heard do nothing, there is nothing you can do that will be considered maintenance for your MBP.
I am out to find out again, with all the support articles, if holding down the "D" key while rebooting with the OS disk in the disk drive does anything.  Are there any general maintenance use owners of the MBP can do to keep it running smoothly and really performing maintenance tasks?  Does leaving the MBP on all night really do anything for the MBP?  Are there support articles that go through what one should do?  why does Apple not emphasize these support articles that focus on maintenance so that the MBPs will run better.
any ideas?  What about the OS disk or the Deluxe Tech Tool.

    NObodE wrote:

Yes. There are three basic maintenance tasks:
    Backup.
    Backup.
    Backup some more.
Other than that, IMHO, and for the average user, no.
holding down the "Shift" key after hearing the start-up tone until the gear and the progress bar are on the gray screen will help do some maintenance.
That's called Safe Mode. No, it does not do maintenance. Yes, it does delete certain caches (in addition to other matters), but that's a troubleshooting, not maintenance.
One guy told me to leave my MBP on all night so it can do the maintenance
Not necessary. Your guy was misinformed (or misunderstood).
why does Apple not emphasize these support articles that focus on maintenance so that the MBPs will run better.
Because those who do the kind of tasks that might require maintenance must be aware of what they need to do to get to that position. It's sort of Catch-22—if you need to ask, you don't need it.
