Where to add mac filter without template on Prime 2.0?

Hi,
Can someone point me to where I should go to add mac filter under security>AAA in Prime 2.0 directly to controller without using templates? Check the screenshot attached. there is no option to add filter. It only give option to edit. Going to Classic view I see the add option is available. Puzzled. Any help is appreciated.

I am unabl eto find any way to configure mac-address filter without template. To configure with template you can go through the following steps-
Step 1 Choose Configure > Controller Template Launch Pad.
Step 2 Click MAC Filtering or choose Security > MAC Filtering from the left sidebar menu. The Security > MAC Filtering page appears.
Step 3 If you want to add a new template, choose Add Template from the Select a command drop-down list, and click Go. To modify an existing template, click the template name. The MAC Filtering template page appears.
Step 4 If you keep Import From File enabled, you must enter a file path or click Browse to navigate to the file path. The import file must be a CSV file with MAC address, profile name, interface, and description (such as 00:11:22:33:44:55, Profile1, management, test filter). If you unselect the Import from File check box, continue to Step 5. Otherwise, skip to Step 8.
The client MAC address appears.
Step 5 Choose the profile name to which this MAC filter is applied or choose the any Profile option.
Step 6 Use the drop-down list to choose from the available interface names.
Step 7 Enter a user-defined description of this interface. Skip to Step 9.
Step 8 If you want to override the existing template, select the Override existing templates check box.
Step 9 Click Save.

Where on my MAC are "PAGES" Templates Stored

This question has been asked before - but there was NEVER a good answer.
I created a new "Template" using PAGES. I want to find this "Template" that was supposedly stored in "My Templates" - which cannot be found using "FINDER". I need to capture a copy of this template to share with another Mac user.
Can anyone tell me how to find this "Template" and email it to my friend ... and then how to capture it on his Mac and install it in his PAGES TEMPLATES?

I reread the answers given to one of the other questions and I have to admit that I'm not ready to use 'Finder' to find the Templates in the way it was described. And, I'm also not ready to try to import it back into my friend's Mac.
I'll do what the other fellow suggested and save the Template as a Pages document and then share that with my friend and import it to his 'Templates' on his version of Pages because he may not have the same version that I do.

MAC filter on WRT54GS2 V1 - loses some MAC numbers :(

I have a WRT54GS2 V1 and I use only the MAC filter for wireless protection.
It has the annoying habit of losing some of the MAC numbers I have typed in.
I haven't been able to correlate these events with any other predictable events - the problem seems to happen at random times.
Is this a known problem? I have had many other earlier versions of the 54G series - use the MAC filter in the same way on them and never had this problem.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Sorry. But you wrote you want to use the MAC filter for "wireless protection". The MAC filter is absolutely unsuitable for "wireless protection".
MAC addresses are always transferred unencrypted.
MAC addresses are easily modified and cloned.
You block my MAC address in the list? I change my MAC address and I am back in.
You only allow a few MAC addresses on the list? I pick up the allowed MAC addresses with a standard network sniffer and change my MAC address to a whitelisted one.
Trust me: the wireless MAC filter is absolutely useless for wireless security/protection.
And don't forget: if you only use the MAC filter without any wireless encryption it is trivial to sniff on all your network traffic. With WEP it takes about 5 minutes to crack the WEP keys and then you can capture and sniff all network traffic again.
Again: use WPA2 Personal with AES and a strong passphrase. That provides you with real wireless security.

Is it possible to add a filter to a webapp without declaring it in web.xml

I'd like to add a filter in my web.xml file, but without declaring it in my webapp.
Indeed, I have multiple webapps, and I'd like to have a common web.xml file that should be directly included in all the webapps including this package ?
Is it possible or not ?
As for JSF, it is possible to add faces-config file by putting it in the META-INF of the package.

Your title and your question are opposites...
A filter must be specified in a web.xml to be used. That doesn't mean the Filter's class HAS to be in your webapp, it just must be accessible to the Servlet container (you could place it in the common/classes directory or shared/classes directory or even the server/classes directory).
I've not tried it, but I see no reason why you couldn't declare the filter and filter-mapping in the server's web.xml which would then filter all requests in all webapps.

WCS - AAA access to add to MAC filter only

Hi,
I am using Cisco WCS and have an SSID which uses PSK. I want to permit a select few to be able to add MAC addresses to this filter, as part of this SSID in order to permit devices to associate to this network.
I am struggling to see how I can do this, the user defined permission sets in AAA section are not that granular.
Someone mentioned Virtual Domains, though again I don't see how you permit only this level of access.
Any help / guidance would be appreciated

I don't have wcs in front of me .. But do into admin tab of wlc. Select group and you will see super user, admin, etc. you can create a new group .. Once the new group is selected you can add tasks list to that group .. Which task that handle your MAC address additions may be bundled into another task ..

I have hooked up my wireless router and had trouble with the security part. I am now set up with the wireless security disabled but the MAC filter enabled and my wireless computers mac number entered and all is working. will the MAC filter work as security for my wireless network. thanks tdm

MAC address filtering is considered a very low level of security. It will keep honest people from accidentally logging into your network, but that is about it. MAC addresses are transmitted wirelessly when you use your router. Anyone can monitor your transmissions, so it is easy to learn a working MAC address. They can then fake the MAC address and loggin to your network whenever you are not connected.
Also, when your transmissions are not encrypted, anyone within range can monitor your wireless transmissions, even without logging into your network. With a good antenna, your transmissions can probably be picked up for at least half a mile from your home. So someone could monitor the web sites you visit, your email, etc., and in some cases, your passwords.
You really should setup wireless security on your network.
Here are my tips for setting up wireless security:
To set up wireless security, you must use a computer that is wired to the router.
Where to find the router settings: The router's login password is usually on one of the "Administration" pages. The other settings are all found in the "Wireless" section of the router's setup pages, located at 192.168.1.1
First, give your router a unique SSID. Don't use "linksys".
Make sure "SSID Broadcast" is set to "enabled".
Next, leave the router at its default settings (except for the unique SSID), and then use your pc to connect wirelessly to the router. Test your wireless Internet connection and make sure it is working correctly. You must have a properly working wireless connection before setting up wireless security.
To implement wireless security, you need to do one step at a time, then verify that you can still connect your wireless computer to the router.
Next, encrypt your wireless system using the highest level of encryption that all of your wireless devices will support. Common encryption methods are:
WEP - poor (see note below)
WPA (sometimes called PSK, or WPA with TKIP) - good
WPA2 (sometimes called PSK2, or WPA with AES) - best
WPA and WPA2 sometimes come in versions of "personal" and "enterprise". Most home users should use "personal". Also, if you have a choice between AES and TKIP, and your wireless equipment is capable of both, choose AES. With any encryption method, you will need to supply a key (sometimes called a "password" ).
The wireless devices (computers, printers, etc.) that you have will need to be set up with the SSID, encryption method, and key that matches what you entered in the router.
Retest your system and verify that your wireless Internet connection is still working correctly.
And don't forget to give your router a new login password.
Picking Passwords (keys): You should never use a dictionary word as a password. If you use a dictionary word as a password, even WPA2 can be cracked in a few minutes. When you pick your login password and encryption key (or password or passphrase) you should use a random combination of capital letters, small letters, and numbers, but no spaces. A login password, should be 12 characters or more. WPA and WPA2 passwords should be at least 24 characters. Note: Your key, password, or passphrase must not have any spaces in it.
Most home users should have their routers set so that "remote management" of the router is disabled. If you must have this option enabled, then your login password must be increased to a minumum of 24 random characters.
One additional issue is that Windows XP requires a patch to run WPA2. Go to Microsoft Knowledge base, article ID=917021 and it will direct you to the patch.
Sadly, the patch is not part of the automatic Windows XP updates, so lots of people are missing the patch.
Note:
WEP is no longer recommended. The FBI has demonstrated that WEP can be cracked in just a few minutes using software tools that are readily available over the Internet. Even a long random character password will not protect you with WEP. You should be using WPA or preferably WPA2 encryption.

I recently bought the new iMac as my older Windows based computer crashed with a bad motherboard. I have been trying to find a way to convert Outlook 2007 pst files to Mac Mail without the need to use a Windows based computer since all I have now is a Mac. I have the copies of the pst files on my Mac, so I am looking for the most efficient way to convert them to the format that I can then open them in the Mac Mail. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi - thanks for the instructions but where do you get the option for Quicktime. If I do File - Export I only get the options for File name, place and size but no option that allows to select quicktime:-(

Since you can sync contacts by groups, my suggestion would be to create a group specifically for the iPhone, and move the appropriate contacts to that group. Then you can set up syncing for that group only in iTunes.
When you add new contacts on the Mac, add them to the appropriate group to be synced or not.

Field name is not know error when trying to add a filter

Hello all!
I need to add a filter dinamically to display a report. I'm using Crystal Reports 10 w/ RAS server.
There is an sql statement in Database Fields > Command. It uses a join and a correlation name for table name: TT.START_TIME.
I am getting a "Field name is not known" error:
"This field name is not known. Details: errorKind Error in File C:\WINDOWS\TEMP\{D375AB61-F7AE-4BCC-AF5E-6702C0EFDE10}.rpt: Error in formula . '{Command.TT.START_TIME} in DateTime (2007, 08, 01, 09, 00, 00) to DateTime (2007, 08, 24, 04, 45, 00)' This field name is not known. Details: errorKind"
I tried to specify the field the following ways:
Command.START_TIME
TT.START_TIME
START_TIME
TIME_TRACKER.START_TIME (time_tracker being the table name)
MAIN.TIME_TRACKER.START_TIME (main being the schema)
All of the above is giving the same field name not known error.
I am adding the filter the following way:
        String whereClause = "{Command.TT.START_TIME} in DateTime (2007, 08, 01, 09, 00, 00) to DateTime (2007, 08, 24, 04, 45, 00)";
        IFilter filter = rptClientDoc.getDataDefinition().getRecordFilter();

The first formula was created using the selection formula expert. I only added the TT part after it didn't work giving the same message. The name the expert gives it after I click on the field is {Command.START_TIME}. Still gives the invalid field name error. -_- Could the rest of the forumula be causing the problem?
In regards to parameterizing the SQL Command, I spoke w/ the gentleman who creates these reports in Crystal, he says it's not possible, because sometimes we don't want a where clause and sometimes we do.
Is there a way to directly edit the SQL string itself which is in the Command through java?

I have a 2012 R2 server running Microsoft Certificate Authority snap-in.
I want to do a filter on a specific Certificate Template which i know exists in the 'Issued Certificates' folder.
All the documentation i can find seems to suggest i copy the certificate name and use this in the View Filter.
1). I add the 'Certificate Template' option into the Field drop-down.
2). I leave the Operation as the '=' symbol
3). I paste in just the name of the template in question. for example: 'my computers'
The search results always come back blank 'There are no items to show in this view.' even when i know there are many instances of this template. I've tried on a win 2008 server and same issue.
Is there a correct value to enter for the Certificate Template name?
Can this be done easier using certutil commands?
When i run the certutil tool i can confirm i have several issued templates. Certutil -catemplates -v > c:\mytemplate_log.csv

Any ideas on when you get an error message and how I remove the ACL (access control list)
Try to setup the extender on the same room where the router is installed.
- If MAC Access list of MAC Filtering is enabled on the router, make sure to add the MAC address of the extender.
- Try to turn off and turn on all of your devices to refresh the network.

How can I add new games without overwriting the old ones?

I have just purchased two new games in the itunes store and although they are showing in the library (under applications) my previously purchased games are not. In Summary under games it will not let me choose selected games only 'all games' and when I press sync warns that the existing games will be replaced. How can I add these games without deleting the older ones? Also if I did want to remove a game from my ipod how do I do it?

Clearly it ISN'T silly as it avoid issues like you are having right now. If you need more space, get an external hard drive. To me it is much sillier to only have your stuff on the iPod and no where else as the iPod, as a small portable player, is much more likely to be dropped, lost, damaged, stolen, forgotten somewhere, etc.

But long term, I strongly suggest you keep all your stuff in your library so if you need to (you have to perform a restore on the iPod, you lose it and buy a new one, etc.) you can very easily sync it all back to the iPod when needed.

How to add Saved Filter to my new analysis, not in left side catalog pane?

I have set up a set of filters which i have saved in the /Shared Folders/Filters directory (i created a Filters directory there). The analysis where i created this saved filter works just fine.
Now i start a new analysis and i try to add the filter by navigating within the Catalog pane in the lower left corner. But there isn't anything in there by the few top level directories. I don't see any other objects, including sub-folders, analyses, etc.
I don't understand why i do not see anything at all. When i use the top/main Catalog link, of course i see all sorts of analysis, filters, prompts, etc., which i have in my environment.
How can i add my Saved Filter to my new analysis if i can't find it in the Catalog pane, and why is that (or anything) showing up in that pane?

Thanks.Is the new analysis in the same Subject Area? Saved Filters are tied to Subject Areas so if the SA is different, you won't see it.

While Install password filter, I use 'sAMAccountName' as Source Attribute (Microsoft Active Directory) and 'orclSAMAccountName' as Target Attribute (Oracle Internet Directory) instead of using objectGUID.
My Scenario test
1. setup password filter follow by 20 Deploying the Oracle Password Filter for Microsoft Active Directory

4. reset password in AD
I found that it can't send password from AD to OID.
