Where to buy Incase Sportcase for nano?

The Apple website now has two of the three Incase offerings for nano - but not the one I want - the Sportcase which has an armband, and handheld band. It also has a smaller belt clip than basic case. Anyone know whether the Apple store will offer this one? Anywhere else to buy? Thanks!

Where to buy new drives for Xserve RAID

I have been looking all over to buy NEW drives for my RAID. Can anyone direct me where to go to buy new drives with the slot attachment? 500GB or 750GB
Forgive my lack of specific/correct terminology - I am a newbie when it comes to the RAID.

I think the fine print says DVD Player support requires 10.3 or higher. But you can still play DVDs in the original drive you have, and are looking to add a drive in the empty bay, right?
Also, Patchburn is available for 10.2 to add native burning support, or you can maybe find an old version of Toast (5 ?) for 10.2 that should allow you to burn to the drive.

I agree with the suggestion to upgrade to 10.3 or 10.4, if you can, but you should be able to make this drive work in 10.2 (and still use the original for OS 9 and DVD Player) and decide to do the other upgrades later on if you want.

Where to buy plastic caps for AC adapter plug?

I like the plastic caps that pop onto the connectors that plug directly into an iBook/Powerbook jack. I'll probably lose 'em, and I'd like to get replacement caps in bulk quantity (even a purchase of 100+ caps might be acceptable to me - I lose 'em THAT often). Nope, I'd rather not hack a dental-floss tether on 'em, but one Genius at my Apple store has told me the store doesn't sell them.
I've even surfed the plastic cap web sites, looking for something suitable at least as a substitute. I may ask for samples from those sites to be sure, but if anyone has another source where I can buy the clear plastic caps, I'd love to know where. I prefer to keep the metal sheath true and round.

Hi. When I got my iBook there was a short length of fairly rigid, clear, plastic tube on the jack plug. Why not try hardware stores/brewing supplies/pressure washer supplies/ etc who might sell plastic tubing of the right diameter?

Here is what will work using your existing 4-3 cable and an extra 3.5mm cable. First unplug all the cables from the back of your card and your woofer. Then plug your new 3.5 cable (make sure you are using a stereo cable and not a mono one) into the black on the back of your card and the black (rear speakers) on the back of your woofer. Then reverse your 4-3 cable that came with your speakers. Take the 4 side of the plug and use that end on your card instead of the speaker side. With the 4 plugs hook the green plug to green on the card, orange plug to orange on the card and black plug to grey on the card. You do not need to use the grey plug, so just let it hang there or whatever. On the end with the three plugs, on the back of your woofer hook the green plug to green (front speakers), orange plug to orange (center and subwoofer) and the black plug to black (side speakers.) This is the only way that it would work for me. Simply unhooking the grey on the subwoofer and running an extra cable from there to the grey on the back of the card did not work for me. It has to do with the way Creative has the 4-3 plug wired and it combines rear and side speakers. You will notice this if you look at the colored plugs and compare the number of rings on the male plugs; some have two and some have three for the different channels. When I simply run an extra wire from grey to grey it still cuts out half my speakers. The above way I outlined works awesome and gives me true 7.1 sound. Good luck!

the fingerprint sensor in my W700ds (with color sensor, fingerprint sensor, pen tablet) doesnt work right now. I found that a cable under the palm rest is bad, which connect the color sensor, fingerprint sensor and build-in mouse touch pad. Just what to know where to find a cheap replacement part.

Does anyone know where to buy a replacement for the TV out adaptor that came with my MSI Ti4200 GFORCE4 video card? It's the standard ps/2 looking 9 pin connection into the card and rca and svideo on the other side.

It's been my experience, with most of the comp shops I've dealt with anyway, that when I ask where to buy those optional trinkets that I thought I should have gotten (and wanted in the first place) with the video card that they'd just give me a blank look and shrug their shoulders. Thus leading me to return the item for a refund and going out to find the real deal. I did that for a time and then found myself being one of those comp shops a few years back. Lo and behold I had a guy come in and ask me the same question. I really didn't want to give him the blank look so I took his name and number and I called the manufacturer directly and asked them where to get the optional equipment. The guy was real helpful and lead to me a better wholesaler that I bought from because he gave me just what I asked for when buying product to sell to my customers. 2. Re resuming from the position where one left off - I meant after switch-off and not merely pause. Often, with audiobooks, I have to stop for the day, and resume maybe after 1-2 days. I'll be grateful if you can check this too
3. The above features make the iPod Classic a joy to use, but I have reservations about using it on walks because of its HDD.

Other than Apple there are only two vendors with which I have personal experience and can recommend: Crucial and OWC. People have reported problems with many other brands, yet Crucial and OWC's prices are as good as any you are likely to find.
Go to Crucial and download the little app that examines your system and recommends RAM upgrade options.
Their prices are good but don't have to buy memory from them - determine what you need and buy it from Crucial or OWC / MacSales. You'd be paying Apple a lot more than either one of them, and you don't have to.
