I have a Mac mini early 2008, running Snow Leopard. I never upgraded to Lion because my Internet connection was too slow. Now my connection is fast enough, but I can no longer buy Lion? My Mac will not run Mountain Lion. If I have to order over the phone or by email, how much does it cost? Do I get a downlaod code or is it shipped? Thank you.

You can upgrade to Mountain Lion from Lion or directly from Snow Leopard. Mountain Lion can be downloaded from the Mac App Store for $19.99. To access the App Store you must have Snow Leopard 10.6.6 or later installed.
Upgrading to Snow Leopard
You must purchase Snow Leopard through the Apple Store: Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard - Apple Store (U.S.). The price is $19.99 plus tax. You will be sent physical media by mail after placing your order.
After you install Snow Leopard you will have to download and install the Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v1.1 to update Snow Leopard to 10.6.8 and give you access to the App Store. Access to the App Store enables you to download Mountain Lion if your computer meets the requirements.
     Snow Leopard General Requirements
       1. Mac computer with an Intel processor
       2. 1GB of memory

It's a download. You will get an email containing a redemption code that you then use at the Mac App Store to download Lion. Adobe doesn't sell CS4 anymore. It hasn't done it for years.
The only way to obtain a legitimate s/n would be to buy an unused old-stock copy of CS4 that some reseller may have in their stock room, or to buy it from a private party that has never used that particular copy of CS4 to upgrade the application.
Both methods bring with them a very high likelihood of your getting ripped off.

For a 2008 imac here's OWC ram selections. Do not buy memory from any place that doesn't explicitly specify their memory adhears to apple specifications. If you do it's a crap shoot if it works. Further most reputable ram resellers have lifetime warrantees on their ram.

Any notebook part can be ordered from an authorized service partner who is available in your country.
The guys will order the part directly from Toshiba if it will not be on stock.
But as xaver already said; the 2nd hand part could also be found in internet. I guess some online dealers should be able to provide such keyboard. Dont search for the part number because such numbers are not very helpful if it comes to search for the compatible notebook part.

Replace keyboard for Macbook Pro

Hi,
I need a new keyboard for my Macbook Pro 15" with back lighting. It works fine, but I dropped my cigarette and it burned the "esc" key. Again the esc key works, but I have to push it hard, so I think I think that I need to replace the keyboard.
Is this something that can be fixed if I go to the Apple Store, or if not what are my options?

Unfortunately, this is a major effort. It's been discontinued and is very hard to find. Sony has back ordered it, but it's in 2 parts, the brick and the cord. Combined it's about $55 or so. I found some retailed in China that are selling them for $70.
I just bought one on Ebay for $40 and hopefully it's compatible. Sony has done a terrible job with these adapters and their exclusivity and reluctance to make them universal with their other products. It makes it very hard to buy replacements.

I think it needs to be a wired keyboard because the one you mentioned says it is only ok for 10.6, not 10.5. I have found two different models, all second hand I think. The MB110LL/A seems to be the right one but is not easily obtainable but thre is also MB110B/A which I could get new but I don't know if it is compatiblel with 10.5.8? I have had my MBP a while but am happy with it, would just like a seperate keyboard for home use.
