Where to change duration multiple selected clips

In previous answers I've read if you have selected all clips (Cmnd A) and you want to change duration of all still images you press
Ctrl D (change duration) but WHERE on the screen do you change it. If I move the playhead it looses its Ctrl D command. I cannot change the seconds in the timer on the timeline either...? Thanks, Pim

I'm sorry Tom, what is the dashboard. Is it in the middle of the screen above the timeline, with the green numbers (hrs:minutes:seconds:frames). If I do what you suggest these numbers turn out blue (next to the blue numbers the sign of a clip with handlels pop up) but when I try to enter the numner there, or in tne Info screen on the upper right sight where its says Duration, I cannot enter any number. It unselects...?
Nor in the Timeline a cannot drag one of the sides of one of the selected clips (images).
So I got stuck after Cmnd-A (select all images), Ctrl-D...

For reasons that you would have to ask Apple for they decided not to allow the precise position of the playhead to be shown in iMovie 10 (unlike in FCP 10.1.x).

How to change duration of selected still image Clips?

iMove is great in all its simplicity. However coming from the Windows (Pinnacle Studio) side I have yet a few mysteries to solve: Changing duration of a single still image clip is trivial, but it seems impossible to do the same operation selecting two or more clips. Did I miss anything? You can specify the duration and apply to all clips, but I have found no way to apply e.g. 4 sec duration to half of the 220 slides in my slideshow. Cmd+R on 100 still images seems like a fairly unintelligent approach. Hints, anyone?

I'm having the same problem.
I have 500 stills in my timeline (iMovie 06 HD) and there seems to be no way to change the duration of more than one still at a time.
This cannot be right. Please tell me what I am missing!
According to another thread about this issue, the answer was that after I select my group of stills in the timeline, I should be able to open "Media" and "Photos" in iMovie, and then set the stills duration settings that way.
But the button "Show Photo Settings" is greyed out, so I am unable to set the group stills duration.
Any help?

in iMovie'11 (as I don't have any iMovie'13 (v10)) and You note that You also use iM11
Go up to the top row Menu and select "Setings" (Inställningar)
and here select Browser (Bläddrare)
and at bottom of this You got three options
and can select ALL or up to 10 seconds
I use click + alt (option-key) to select all of the Clip in Events - then fine tune it in my project.

Change duration of still clips

Another naive question from a naive user: is there a straightforward way to adjust clips of jpg images? I'm working on creating a slideshow, and would like a way to manually enter in the duration. I've tried doing that with the "duration" dialog, but the changes don't take. Thanks.

You can set the duration automatically in the Preferences dialog box. (But it has to be done before you import the images; changing the duration in the preferences will not affect images that have already been imported.)
OR... you can select your clips in the project panel, before they've been placed in any sequence, and change their duration there.
OR if a clip is already in the timeline, you can place your cursor over the end or start of the clip and click and drag to lengthen/decrease the duration.

Category changes for multiple selections

On my IMac (early 2008) running Mavericks & iTunes 11.1.15, I moved some stories from the music catagory to audiobooks. Having accidently selected some music albums as well, I reselected those albums in audiobooks, changed the category back to music, but itunes refuses to change the category back to music, and just comes straight back without error after pressing OK.
However I can select each track indiviually - which is very time consuming.

Are the existing reports Standard or Custom Reports?
If they are Standard then they should work for any SOB.
If they are Custom Reports then I suggest you to run them in the development instance and see if you are getting any errors.

Multiple selection of Material in CS15

Hello Experts,
I have a requirement for the transaction CS15 which is used for single level where used list.
Currently, we can enter only single material on the first screen. Now the client needs to enter Multiple selection for material.
For this, I copied CS15 transaction to ZCS15 and the program to Zprogram. As this is a standard code and is a dnpro screen, I am not pretty sure how I can continue on this requirement. I have seen few other posts mentioning to use "CS_WHERE_USED_MAT" FM but not sure how the screen can be change with multiple selection.
Any inputs on the logic is highly appreciated and rewarded with points.

Hello All,
I have found one way to get the requirement done and is working fine.
CS15 BOM calls a program RCS15001. When we execute this program, it does the same as CS15 screen. RCS15001 is a normal report program and hence we can modify the material to select options.
Copy the program RCS15001 to ZRCS15001 and modify the program accordingly.
Hope it may be useful to others in future.

How to set billing doc parameter for multiple selection ?????

i would like to add Multiple selection to the Billing Document parameter. multiple Currently, it would only give data for one of the documents in the selection.
According to me the billing parameter can be changed for multiple selection, need your suggestion for how to proceed with this..

Multiple Selection Field Type

how do i change a multiple selection field type to place what i've entered to side-by-side instead of vertical? i've un-checked "stack choices verticallly" and even made the column smaller but it's not moving anything.
ANY IDEAS??

The default width for all of the choices in a Single/Multiple selection field is the width of you longest choice label (as you have seen). In order for you to get side by side you will need to make your form wider and then make the multiple selection field wider.
Click and drag on the right edge of the form to widen the form page
Click and drag on the right border of the Multiple Select field to widen it.
If these steps do not work then the next step would be to use a font size smaller and/or change font to Times New Roman (which is narrower than other fonts).

I wanna add a field for 'Delivery number' in the screen of a mod pool prgm.I created a subscreen area in the main screen and did the coding needed.now the problem i am having is if i giv a single value in the from field or values in the 'From' and 'To' field its not taken to the program,i saw it while debugging. but if i enter the values in the multiple selection option its taken to the program.That means from screen its not going to the program where as from the multiple select option its taken to the program,What may be the propblem.

Have you used the select-options in the subscreen or you have placed the multiple option manually?
Either way, please check the two methods, it may solve your problem.
Create a SELECT-OPTIONS in module pool screen using two methods as shown.
Method 1
a) Create a subscreen area in your screen layout where you want to create the select options.
b) In the top include of your module pool program declare a selection screen as a subscreen e.g.
SELECTION-SCREEN BEGIN OF SCREEN 100 AS SUBSCREEN.
    select-options s_matnr for mara-matnr.
SELECTION-SCREEN END OF SCREEN.
c) In the PBO and PAI of the main screen where the select options needs to be created do a call subscreen of the above screen (100).
CALL SUBCREEN sub_area INCLUDING <program>   <screen>
This CALL SUBSCREEN statement is necessary for transport of values between screen and program.
Note: All validations of the selection screen fields e.g. the s_matnr field created above should be done in selection screen events like AT SELECTION-SCREEN etc and not in PAI. These selection screen validations etc should be done in the top include only.
Method 2
a) Create 2 separate fields in your screen layout - one for the low value and one for the high value. Insert an icon beside the high value which will call the multiple selections popup screen on user command. Use function module COMPLEX_SELECTIONS_DIALOG to achieve this.

You can use the return table rng_kunnr to populate your own internal range table with the values entered by the user. Basically here you are just simulating the work of a select-options parameter by module pool screen elements.

You can use RANGES or can use TYPE RANGE OF while declaring.
For eg:
DATA:it_invoice    TYPE RANGE OF vbrk-vbeln,
.         wa_invoice LIKE   LINE     OF it_invoice.
Now u need a bit of coding,
wa_invoice -sign   = 'I'.
wa_invoice -option = 'BT'. i.e between
r_carrid_line-low    = your screen fieldname inwhich the lower limit was selected
r_carrid_line-high   = your screen fieldname inwhich the higher limit was selected.
APPEND wa_invoice TO it_invoice.
Now u can use this internal table IT_INVOICE in query using operator IN in the WHERE caluse as u use with select-options.
Or you can create a report program which has only a selection screen
You can EXPORT the object(select option name) to ur dialog program using IMPORT/EXPORT MEMORY ID .
But you need to declare the select options in ur dialog program with the same name and the structure

How will i display the multiple select ids in the dashboard ?

I have a form where there is a multiple select. When the form is submit, the ids for the multiple select is stored in the database as concatenate. For example, multiple select : 3,9,5,1.
The ids of the multiple select is found in a table TABLE1 and the insertion is done in another table TABLE2.
Now I have to display them in a dashboard.
My question is how will i display the multiple select ids in the dashboard ?
I have to do an innerjoin with TABLE1 to retrieve the names of the multiple select ids. I don't know how to do it because the column name for multiple select in TABLE2 is of type text and the column id in TABLE1 is of type int.
Please help me solve this problem.

One general advice is, never store comma-delimited lists in the database. In fact, the reason is to avoid problems like the one you now face.
The major suggestion here is to re-design your database. Make sure each selected item (for example 3, 9, 5 or 1) is stored in its own row.
To solve the problem as it now stands, you could do something like

where id in (select id from table 1 where ...etc.)
</cfquery>
Then use ColdFusion's list functions to do what your dashboard requires you to do.

I'm working with good old Premiere 6 on Windows 7.
Is there a way to change the duration of a group of selected clips all at once? If I have a large group of clips in my timeline that are all the same duration, once I've selected them all in a group, can I somehow change the frame number duration of all the clips at the same time?
I've found other things that can be done to a group of clips at the same time, but I can't find a way to change the duration of a group of selected clips.

In my efforts to work around the problems with the distortion and horizontal interlace lines that come when using the Motion Settings, I'm doing stop frame animation with hundreds and hundreds of layers in PSDs in multiple files placed in hundreds of one, four and six frame sections in Premiere, so if I find that I need to change the number of frames per clip in hundreds of consecutive clips (not actual duration of speed changes), then I need to pull out the right side of hundreds of frames after first moving them apart enough to allow for changing them if I'm making them longer.
These animations are different from the rotating reel animations in that they are for laterally moving subjects that are long streams of moving graphics and photos.
I read about "clip nesting", but I think that only applies to clips or groups of clips that are the same, whereas my clips are each from different imported layers times 125 or so, consecutively placed one after another to create the laterally moving stop frame animation.
Now I've tried johnbmx4christ's alternate method of creating rotations that was just posted on the other thread about the rotation distortion, but that method results in the same oblong distortion and messed up looking horizontal interlace lines.
What a can of worms.

Change duration of multiple clips "as one" overall clip?

Here's my situation:
I have a song at 127 BPM. I have a music video (muted sound) at 125 BPM.
I've spent a long time slicing up clips from the video into different channels and muliple clips to form one timeline (but with many clips and channels lined up).
I now want to change the overall duration of the video clip to match the BPM of the song (which I should have done in the first place), but the video is, as previously stated, sliced up in mulitple clips in multiple channels. How can I change the duration of all clips at one time, where the end and start of the clips still line up to eachother?
This would've been incredibly easy if there were a un-nesting feature. Where I can nest multiple clips, change the duration, and un-nest the clips to slices clips with a changed overall duration. (Which is not possible. Yes, I can drag the clips out of the nested clip, but the clips will still have the original duration).
TL;DR: How can I change duration of multiple clips "as one" overall clip?

Never mind. I've found a alternate solution. I used a time stretch calculator at http://mp3.deepsound.net/eng/samples_calculs.php and time stretched all the clips to match the BPM of the song. Now I only need to snap all the clips, which can be done one by one, but I found this trick to snap all the clips at once: http://vimeo.com/27428526.

Please review the following that I excerpted from an older post here regarding Adobe's PRE_help comments about Hollywood Effect and mention of
Red Noir. Does any of the following apply to any of what is happening to you.
- Whenever I try to add an effect from the Hollywood Looks menu, it brings up a warning that all my previous effects on that clip will be deleted. However it will let me add those same effects *after* applying Hollywood Looks.
This is because of how the Hollywood Looks are designed to be used. Since these are effect presets (multiple effects in combination) that result in a specific "look"; they are best applied in isolation. If any previous effect is applied and we still allow a Hollywood effect to be applied, we will not be able to see what the effect does clearly. For e.g. if you already have a Gaussian Blur effect applied to your clip, and then we allow you to apply the "Red Noir" Hollywood effect, the fact that the "Reds" in the scenes will be highlighted and the others converted to B/W will not be clearly seen since the content is already blurred out. So any previously applied effects was designed to be removed. This holds good even if you apply a Hollywood look "on top of" another one. The previous one will be replaced. Having said that, you can customize the look further by either tweaking an already applied filter or by adding a newer effect on top. That is the reason you can apply an effect on top of the Hollywood Effects and not vice versa.
Please review and consider and then we can proceed from there if necessary.
