I need to know the basics of org publisher, what is it? how is it used and most important thing how and where to configure org publisher in IMG?If anybody has any material and links please pass it on.Any kind of help is appreciated. Thankyou.

OrgPublisher integrates easily with SAP. When you install the SAP version, transports are provided that you can install in your SAP server (4.7, 5.0, 6.0 and 7.0). A fully functional trial is available for download and good for 30 days 10,000 objects. A getting started guide, an installation guide and functional guide come with the installation. Once the transports are installed, there are two main transactions you can execute. The transactions are:
/n/ehr/sol71_orgpub = extracts data from SAP based on a collection of instructions called an output format.
/n/ehr/sol71_img = various functions, including powerful wizards that let you map fields and set filters
The interface comes with predefined output formats. You can copy an existing format and modify the copy to extract the desired fields you wish to display in the org chart using the wizard for Output Formats. The field mapping contains a large number of fields and the Wizard for Additional Fields can map other fields that may not be listed in the Output Format wizard. Table configuration is also possible for further customization.
Once the data is extracted, you format the org chart using the OrgPublisher application and publish it as a web based solution for end users or as needed by your company.

Hi,
I am trying to configure Org Publisher output types. I have configured custom output types with additional fields and filters.
The problem is when i run the report /EHR/SOL71_ORGPUB with selection root orgunit, It picks up only the data related to Orgunit.
I am not able to see the employee number, name in the output.
Please help me with this issue.

Thanks for your response. We have a licensed software. They have manually extracted the data and feeding into Orgpub and publishing it in their local intranet site.
The requirement is to automate the whole process and publish the chart in ESS&MSS. I know the procedure for automation. I am struck with one issue.
I have made a copy of the output type /EHR/MAX and extracted the file by using the report /EHR/SOL71_ORGPUB. But when I open file using OrgPublisher, it doesnt show in a tree format. it just dumps all the employees in one single box.
But if I extract using /EHR/MAX, it is displaying in tree format. What could be the problem??

Another address not mentioned in the other posts is the CMS address where your courses are physically stored. In the IMG you will find it here:
Training & Event Management - SAP Learning Solution - Learning Portal - Content Player - Specify CMS Address
Enter the appropriate http: address beside the setting CPCFG/RSURL
Once a learner clicks to launch a course from the portal, the system will go find the appropriate course in the CMS directory and then find the Content Plyer address previously mentioned to launch the course.

Configuring BI Publisher with BI Server on SSL
I am trying to configure BI Publisher 10.1.3.4 with a BI Server that is configured in SSL.
The options we have for appending the connection string are:

How should we configure this if we do not have a keystore on BI Server with SSL.
We only have a cacert.pem,server-req.pem,server-cert.pem,server-key.pem,serverpwd.txt and cacert.pem..We have got the solution for this issue.
We need to generate a certificate thro a keytool with a Distinguished Name associated with it.
Certifying it with self cert of keytool and import the certified certificate into the jave a keystore cacerts and modifying the web site that directs the url to the Publisher Application.

Unable to configure BI Publisher report with Primavera Unifier

We have installed Primavera Unifier 9.14 release on one Linux machine and OBIEE 11.1.1.7.0 is installed on another Linux machine.
For configuration, we shared OBIEE installed folder with the Primavera Linux machine.We followed all the steps that are mentioned in the configuration guide for OBIEE(BI Publisher) with Unifier.
While configuring BI Publisher Reports with Unifier,we are getting following error: Test connection failed.
"failed to create URL for the wsdl location: 'META_INF/wsdl/Catalogservice.wsdl' retrying as local file.
no protocol: /META_INF/wsdl/CatalogService.wsdl"
Unifier Log message:
ERROR: getCatalogInfo.ex=javax.xml.ws.WebServiceException: Provider com.sun.xml.ws.spi.ProviderImpl not found.
We have tested BIP login on Unifier application server machine and its working fine.

BIP Report Folder: ReportFolderName
BIPUSER123 user has admin privileges and also ReportFolder is having required access.
Is there any workaround or are we missing some configurations?

In fact I can run SQL*PLus from my c:\drive command prompt and the Path in Envinronment variable has set to "c:\app\product\11.2.0\client_1\bin". So I don't know why thing msg prompt?

BI Integration in Portal (Where to configure Port, problems with km-integr)

I am new to BI and started to integrate BI into the portal or rather tried it.
When I open my Bex-Excel-Workbook and try to create a document (right mouse -> jump -> documents) an error occurs that the service is not reachable. This is because of an wrong port.
Could someone tell me where I can change the port that he is using when the portal is called out of excel?
Changing the port in the browser I am facing some other problems like (sorry I don't know how to translate it exactly):
Properties for the assignment couldn't be provided
Could not determinate repository for documents with this property typ
Error during open new document-dialog
Has someone an idea how to investigate this problem? could it be because of the wrong port and where to configure the port?

Could you pls let me know Where to configure Tax categories for tax relevant Condition types. (any tcode for this)
When we are creating condition records for tax relevant condition types then you have to assign tax classification for customer and tax classification for material....i am providing 1 and 1 for customer and material as well.....then assigning tax code....when trying to save this doc.... system throwing this error....Tax indicator 1 is not defined for use with condition type O012. This means for 1 we can't find tax categories maintained.
Please look into this and your help would be appreciable.....

1. First you need to create condition type eg : ZCST in V/06 by copying standard condition type for taxes MWST for output taxes.
2. you need to assign this condition type to country eg:IN in OVK1 T-Code.
3. Next you need to define Tax classification for customer eg : 1 in OVK3 T-Code and assign it to tax category (condition type : ZCST)
4. Next you need to define Tax classification for material eg : 1 in OVK4 T-Code and assign it to tax category (condition type : ZCST)
5. Maintain this tax classification in XD01 & MM01 T-Codes.

Where to configure which stock type to post in a movement type?

As we know , when we carry out a posting with a movement type, e.g. mvt. typ. 261, system will automatically post to unrestricted-use stock. And if mvt.typ. 331, system will post to QI stock.
I'd like to ask where to configure movement type to let it know which kind of stock type(not special stock, like E,K,etc.) to post.
i.e. if I create a new mvt. typ. , where can i set it to post to unrestricted-use , QI or Blocked stock?
I can find T156M-BUSTM and T156M-ZUSTD are relevant to stock type posting, but i don't know where to connect these fields to movement types.

Normally there will be two types of moments available broadly.Material inflow and material outflow moments.During outflows we tell the system to take the stocks from which stock type and storage location and during inflows we tell to post to which stock type and sorage location.
The moment type 261 is a issue against an order and which has always to be from unrestricted .
and 331 is to issue towards stock to Quality inspection.
During inflows we can tell to the system through material master,vendor,or purchasing document to get posted to which stock.
For outflows system always takes from unrestricted and issues and if there is no stock in the storage location unrestricted , system provides a error message.
But however you can create a moment type at SPROMMIMMoment typescreate (OMJJ).

Could someone please help me in configuring XML Publisher for Standalone EnterpriseOne 8.12.
As per the installation guide for 8.12, I have created a new data source to SQL Server named EnterpriseOne Local.
Also, I have used "With Windows NT authentication using the network login ID" for this ODBC.
Now I tried :
Data Source Name : EnterpriseOne Local
URL : jdbc:microsoft:sqlserver://localhost:1433
User : My NT domain ID
Password : MY NT domain password
Database Driver Class : com.microsoft.jdbc.sqlserver.SQLServerDriver
in XML publishers admin tab, but it doesnt work.
Is the above setting correct?make sure you can connect with "my NT domain ID"/"my NT domain password" in SQLserver Mangement studio express using SQL server authenication.
Try the setting using JDeveloper for DB conncection. If not successful then u must add the
sqljdbc.jar into your JAVA_HOME/lib

Where to configure Business One with email system
in SBO 2005A there is an option to send email under Message/Alert Overview.
Wonder where can configure to integrate with Outlook in order to send the email from SBO, currently the emails are sitting in the 'Outbox' of SBO Message/Alerts overiew.
KCYou dont need to install MS outlook Integration, unless you wish to send the email via Microsoft Outlook.
You can send email simply by connecting the Mailer service in the SAP business Server suite manager to your exchange server:
On the SAP server (or where the SAP Businesss Server Suite Manager, or server tools, is installed) double click on the suite manager and select mailer (if this is not installed, go to control panel, add/remove programs and modify the server tools to include mailer).
In mailer, you will need to set the schedule (maybe to run every minute if you send many emails and your servers can handle an email request every minute)
then in settings enter the exchange server name,
then in connection set the SQL DB username and password,
and finally in the database option, select which databases you wish the mailer to be listening to.
then stop and re- start the mailer service and you should be away.

You can find the JAR in question, ReportViewer.jar, in ..\eclipse\plugins\com.businessobjects.sdks.jrc.11.8.0_11.8.1.v671\lib as well. Note that "11.8.1.v671" above denotes the version number, which increases with every update; you should always use the latest version.

Any input on using Nakisa or Org Publisher for org charting? We are researching both applications and I would be interested to hear about any experiences (good and bad) using both tools. I am sure you are already aware of how strong Org Publisher is on displaying Organisation data already and how flexible and easy to use it even for a shop floor personnel. I like to talk about more on the points that we sometimes forget to think about when analysing new software.
1) OrgPublisher for SAP Solutions (Some call it SAP Connector)
OrgPublisher for SAP Solutions comes as a package with ready output formats, wizards to use. It is very friendly and you can easily customise new Output Formats to download any information from any Infotype of PA & OM. There are ready user-exits enable you to perform certain specific actions. Most importantly you do not need any consultant for you to do this. Any IT Analyst with basic PA&OM knowledge can easily start using this solution by just reading user manuals and that's what I did. I have never attended to any training and I am able to develop sophisticated formats in a day.
Wizards are very practical and allows you to develop simple formats without any training at all.
You rarely need support of OrgPublisher from Aquire due to its simplicity and bug free solution but when you need the support, it is very quick and resolves issues.
2) Enhanced Plugin for Web users
You can publish OrgCharts like any ordinary web page easily. There's also plug-in version (Free of charge) which enable end users to search by name or any field (For example by age, gender, employee status, employee group etc...), it is like a mini reporting tool. You can download your results or whole data to excel with one click. You can also define groups and display statistical information about the organisation.
3) Planning
This is a great functionality of Plugin that provides planning your organisation data in the web and save it to your local. You can add new positions, remove positions, rename them for planning purposes in your Internet Explorer. It is again very friendly.
I do not know the other tool but it might be good to check if the other tool has these functionalities and flexibility. It is especially important to have flexibility on the SAP side.
