    Hi csco12434455 ,
Try to go to the following link, the name of the file is: Web deployment package for Windows platforms.
This file does support W7 32 and 64 bits
    https://software.cisco.com/download/release.html?mdfid=286281272&flowid=72042&softwareid=282364313&release=3.1.06073&relind=AVAILABLE&rellifecycle=&reltype=latest
    Reference link:
    http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/security/asa/compatibility/asa-vpn-compatibility.html#47680
And yes you can use ASDM to upload the file to the ASA flash , just go to  Tools > File managment.

    Hope it helps

  • Wireless security VPN client -vs-Citrix ICA client

I'm researching as to which method will be preferable for our "internal" wireless deployment.
I'm trying to create a brief "Pros and Cons" for each method
    VPN = IPSEC tunnel
    ICA =128 bit encryption.
    any thoughts

This is primarily a placement concern.
If you are going to use the ICA client, you will need to firewall your wireless network from your private, wired network.
This might not be necessary if you are using a VPN appliance with firewall features built-in, like the Cisco and Nortel boxes.
Personally, I can't stand remote user VPNs, so I would recommend using secure ICA and firewall the wireless equipment. You can use a spare firewall interface for this, but make sure that the firewall policy only permits tcp 1494 from the wireless network to the private network. You will need to configure your ICA client with an IP address, not a DNS name (because you aren't permitting DNS traffic). Do not permit any traffic from the wireless network to the Internet or any other networks - let them get Internet surf in the ICA window.
Most people would argue for IPSEC VPN with 3DES. I think that is definatly more secure, but will require more planning and support. The ICA client is much easier to install than most RUVPN clients and you don't need to worry about cached logon credentials, password sync, etc. Bottom line: ICA is going to be much easier to maintain and manage and the users will probably find it a lot easier to use.
You may also consider using two-factor authentication with either solution. That would bring the risk down considerably. SecurID agents work on Citrix and in most RUVPNs.
    Hope this helps.

  • Cisco VPN client x64 for win7 - will not install

    Hello guys,
I have fresh windows 7 x64 installation and I try install Cisco VPN client (vpnclient-winx64-msi-5.0.07.0290-k9.exe). Installation ends with fatal error "Installation ended prematurely of an error". I red lot of 'step-by-step' how to solve this problem (run as administrator, even though that I'm administrator; UAC disabled; run in WinXP-mode; etc), without success.
I tried run installation process from cmd with verbose logging "msiexec /i vpnclient_setup.msi /lv log.txt" (and other 'recomended' optional parameters). The same result - fatal error.
Can anybody tell me where is the problem? (installation file is not corupted)

  • Cisco VPN client install fails with Error 1722 on Windows 7

    Hi,
I am having issues with laptops upgraded from Vista to Windows 7.
Prior to the upgrade they are running Cisco VPN Client 5.0.05.0290.  These laptops also have Juniper Network Connect 6.5 and Citrix web client installed.  The windows upgrade advisor made no recommendations regarding uninstalling / reinstalling these apps.
I have done an inplace upgade to Windows 7 (Windows Vista Enterprise 32bit to Windows 7 Enterprise 32 bit) and after the install the Cisco client is not working.  Uninstalled the client (the uninstall was successful) then reinstalled and the installation fails at Installing Cisco Systems Virtual Adapter - error 1722 there was a problem with the windows installer package.
I have followed the steps for a manual uninstall of the Cisco client and then tried the install again - still not successful.  Interestingly (or not) the Juniper Network Connect also fails with the error The Network Connect Virtual adapter driver is not installed properly.  This also fails to reinstall after being removed.
I tried removing the VPN clients on another laptop and then running the upgrade but the same errors occured when reinstalling the VPN Client.  I have tried the Winfix and DNE patch from Citrix but these fail saying there is a corruption in the application.
On another laptop where only the Cisco VPN client was installed a reinstall was required after the upgrade, but it did install successfully.
On a clean image these applications all install fine, however I have a large number of laptops do upgrade and don't want to do a fresh install and settings migration on all of them.
What files / registry entrys are involved with the DNE adapter so I can manually clear it all out before reinstalling?
Anything else I can do to troubleshoot this issue?
    Cheers,
    James

You should be able to install the 64 bit version of the Cisco VPN software
    Latest version is vpnclient-winx64-msi-5.0.07.0440-k9.exe
You should download and run MCPR.exe first, to clean out any traces of McAfee products that conflict with Cisco VPN.
    http://download.mcafee.com/products/licensed/cust_support_patches/MCPR.exe
If there is a problem with vbscript registration on the system - there is a fixit tool from Microsoft for that:
    MicrosoftFixit50842.msi
(Using Shrew VPN is a possible workaround.)

  • Mac Lion and Cisco VPN client problems

I just installed Lion 10.7 on my iMac and can no longer use the downloaded Cisco VPN client to connect to Microsoft Remote Desktop and access the PC in my company's office. When I try to launch the VPN client I get Error 51. I used to be able to enter a command in the Terminal as a workaround to use the VPN client when that happened, but that no longer works. I have tried booting into 32-bit mode; doesn't work. I tried to use the Cisco client built into Lion using settings provided by my company. When I try to connect I get the following message: "The negotiation with the VPN server failed. Verify the server address and try reconnecting."
I have searched the web looking for a solution. My company's tech department is stumped; the Apple Geniuses haven't been able to help. Does anyone have any ideas how I can use either the downloaded Cisco VPN client or the client built into Lion?
Sent from Cisco Technical Support iPad App

Here is the link which you can use to configure the inbuilt VPN client in MAC Lion.
    http://glazenbakje.wordpress.com/2011/07/28/how-to-create-a-cisco-vpn-connection-in-apple-mac-os-x-lion/
Make sure you configure the attributes correctly.
Secondly the inbuilt VPN client code of Lion is made in collaboration with Cisco so there will not be any issues of compatibility.
    Cheers,
    Rohan

  • Where to download Oracle 11G lib32 for Linux x86-64

    Hi,
can you tell me where to download 11G 32bit client for Linux 86-64? I need the 32 bit lib.
    Thanks

    Hello,
You should install the Client which match your platform.
If you have a Linux *32 bit* platform you should choose this Client:
    http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/database/enterprise-edition/downloads/112010-linuxsoft-085393.html
If you have a Linux *64 bit* platform then, you should use the link I sent you on my previous post:
    http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/database/enterprise-edition/downloads/112010-linx8664soft-100572.html
I'm not sure about Linux, but I know that on Unix, Oracle for 64 bit platform has 2 directories for the Library:
    $ORACLE_HOME/lib      --> 64 bit
$ORACLE_HOME/lib32    --> 32 bitI guess you may have the same components on Linux.
    Hope this help.
    Best regards,
    Jean-Valentin

  • Keep encountering "Error 56" when starting the VPN client

Hello all.  I recently downloaded the VPN client to connect to my school's Unix servers.  The first time I downloaded it, it worked just fine.  But now for some reason, the service will not start at all.  When I go to start>programs>Cisco Systems>VPN client, it seems to load, but after about a minute, I get this error message: "Error 56: The Cisco Systems, Inc., VPN client has not been started. Please start this service and try again."  I've tried going to the Cisco folder and clicking on the .exe files, but they don't seem to do anything.  Clicking on "cvpnd.exe" and "vpnclient.exe" don't bring up anything, and nothing appears in the task manager.
I'm using Vista.  Any ideas what could be causing this?

I am not sure if people are still experiencing this issue but I came across it this morning on my Windows 7 64 Bit system.
I eventually figured out the problem...
    1. Uninstall Cisco VPN Client
    2. Go into device manager and remove ANY Cisco Virtual Adapters
    3. Re-install
For what I could see the problem was caused by the cvpnd.exe (Cisco Service) process being unable to target a 'single' adapter.
Hope this helps anyone having this issue.

  • VPN client

    Hello,
I have written a Java application which needs to access an external mysql-database. To secure the connection I would like to use a VPN. Smartcard-support is also needed, because my java-app uses a javacard to encrypt data, so I also want to use it for the VPN-auth.
Perhaps someone knows a good small client, which I can call from my Java-App, so the user dos not have to open the VPN client by himself. Or are there "VPN-APIs"? But I don't think so, because the VPN client needs an higher access-level to the OS as the Java VM can give him. Or exists a JNI-Wrapper solution or something like this?
    Regards,
    Susanne

    Ammar,
Unfortunately the legacy Cisco VPN client (IPsec) is end of support as of July 2014:http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/security/vpn-client/end_of_life_c51-680819.html
However, if you wish to configure SSLVPN using the AnyConnect client, this is now supported on the CSR provided you are running XE3.12 or newer: http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/ios-xml/ios/sec_conn_sslvpn/configuration/xe-3s/sec-conn-sslvpn-xe-3s-book.html

  • Secure login client is not working in VPN

    Hi,
We have scenario where users connect to office network though VPN and access SSO. When users connect through VPN, users are not able to login in SLC and hence not receiving X.509 user certificate. It shows the following error when try to login in SLC.

which kind of VPN do you use?
Does this guarantee full network access to the domain servers?
Is the VPN network IPv4 or IPv6 based?

  • AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client 3.1 attempts downgrade when accessing Customer VPN

I have Anyconnect Secure Mobility Client v3.1.03103 installed on Win7 Pro, which works fine with both my corporate vpn, and a number of customer vpns. For a particular customer though, The VPN setup fails and asks me to download and set up AnyConnect VPN Client 2.3.2016.
I have read other entries suggesting replacing VPNManifest.dat for machines running 2.5, but that doesn't appear to work here. Further, I have two directories, c:\Program Data\Cisco\Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client\ and c:\Program Data\Cisco\Cisco AnyConnect VPN Client\
Alternatively, can the two clients coexist?

I also get this same error, except my operating system is Windows 7 Professional (SP1) 32-bit. Below is a bit more detail....
    Details:
Browser: Chrome (but I've tried all 3 major browsers)
    Firewall: off
    Defender: off
Cleaned registry for Cisco and AnyConnect keys
    reboot
    Goto: vpn.agel.com (auto-install process begins)
It gets as far as downloading the client install file, but at the end of the download the following error appears:
Failed to install AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client 3.1.00495 with installer error: Incorrect function. A VPN connection cannot be established.
    Download from the manual link
    Execute the install file (anyconnect-win-3.1.04063-web-deploy-k9)
I get the "Open File - Security Warning" dialog
    Click on "Run"
The application never runs. Nothing further happens.
    Hope this helps!
