My understanding, from what I've read, is that 802.11n draft standard is actually only running at 50% speed of the actual final 802.11n protocol that will be out in a couple of years.
If Itunes starts selling HD content or I import an HD-DVD or Blu-Ray disc to Itunes, is the 802.11n fast enough to be able to stream this content to Apple tv? Has anyone tried this?

No. No idea where you got that idea. Right now the Wi-Fi alliance is "certifying" 801.11n Draft 2.0 devices. It is called "draft" simply because it won't be formally approved until 2008, given the normal standardization schedules. Between draft and approved final there may be changes, but they are usually minor, so much so that sometimes a firmware update may do the job.

First of all, don't expect iTunes to provide HD-DVD or Blue-Ray format files any times soon (I mean expect years before you see that). These are 1080p formats, which are NOT supported by the Apple TV. Apple TV does support content with a maximum resolution of 1280 by 720 pixels at 24 fps, which can be considered "720p" HD content, though not at the full cable frame rate.
Yes, Apple TV can stream this content. I have converted several HD programs captured from ESPN (which broadcasts in 720p), converted them to H.264 at 1280x720x24fps using MPEGStreamClip (http://www.squared5.com/) and stream them to my AppleTV.

Free software/hardware guarantee when 802.11n draft becomes final?

I have not found any information from Apple what will happen to my AirPort Extreme when the draft status will become final in a couple of month. "Draft" means there might still be changes in the final version. If there will be the chance of an update via software this might be easy, but what happens if a hardware update might be necesarry? Will Apple change all AirPort Extreme stations sold up to then? Will I have to buy a new one again? Should I rather wait to buy a new Extreme station until 802.11n draft becomes final?
Does anyone found an offical information by Apple about this??

if you open airport utility and click on your airport extreme.... then click on the wireless options you ca change your frequency there.
I swith between n & b/g as I have an Ipod touch & that works only with the b/g network.

Are you actually getting the 802.11n speeds? Have you checked the wireless card that is installed in your MacBook so that you are sure it is the newer card? Remember that these are backwards compatible. This was an add on for the newer core2duo MacBook Pro and C2D MacBooks. Apple did not include it until the newer versions came out.
I guess there is a chance you might have one if it was built in the last week of core duo models and they had already got the 802.11 modules in. Which as I said Apple did not start doing till the core 2 duo.
I only know that when these modules were checked by different people none found the new modules in the core duo. That is why people are upgrading theirs now.

But now I can't find the actual movie...I go to iTunes to purchases and view movies , to downloads and searched the title of the movie...I can see an icon of it and it is in a separate place from other purchases but it says downloaded in faded lettering. Where is it?

Why doesn't the AEBS 802.11n support NTFS?

I am wondering why users need to go through hoops to make the $200 AEBS 802.11n recognize NTFS formatted disks. Is it really that complicated for Apple engineers to add this support? Is there any way to reach Apple tech and request this? Or is asking for NTFS support utterly ludicrous and fundamentally not feasible. If it is futile to hope for Apple to add support for NTFS to the AEBS 802.11n, then how does one go about returning - who to contact to return and get the money refunded.

I am having the same issue with the Certificate Modification Tool. I have not been able to synch my phone to my exchange server at work. I was first told it would be a day or two, now two weeks later, I am told it will be at least another week. Any suggestions on another place to get this tool? Unplugging the old extreme and plugging in the new 802.11n

I had trouble getting the new exteme to work like the old one. I got WPA2 security to work but not the old extreme. I spoke with an apple tech. We reset both stations, established the new network, then joined the extreme to that and everything works fine now.
Two caveats:
The new 802.11n will not support extending the range and joining a wireless network (as in using the extreme for Itunes) at the same time. It is either one or the other and not both as before. This might be fixed in the future.
The 2. is this- is the old airport extreme base station just a paperweight now or is there a some useful thing it can do in the new setup (maybe extend the range of the network?)
I definitely notice faster internet connections with the new extreme base station.

You could set up a Dual Band network.
It means that there is one big network but with two base stations;
I have one supporting 802.11g 2.4Ghz clients and another running as 802.11n only on 5ghz.
You actually get more network bandwidth. It is backwards compatible too. So Airtunes and WDS are supported.
