Where to enter Authentication details provided by external Webservice

Hi all,
Iam consuming an external webservice by creating a proxy and created a logical port for it. But while passing data to extenal webservice, it is asking for authentication(userid and password)as they have provided to access their server. So, where can i enter those authentication details in sap system
Suggest me some solution.

Try the 3 or 4 digit code on the back of your Credit Card....

I do not see where to enter IP addresses in the Open VPN setup. Also, how can I set it up so that I can choose different servers in the same way as I can currently choose them with my VPN app but for PPTP?

I think I have it working on my iPhone 5. But, I do not see how I can control the exit point that I would like for the VPN. Are all the exit points shown in the VPN setting now going to work with Open VPN, or do they remain PPTP? If I am reading correctly, they look like they remain PPTP. If I cannot control the exit point for open VPN, which exit point is the default in the profile you provided me?I note that Open VPN Connect does not work with any of the new 64 bit devices like the iPhone 5S, the iPad Air, and the new iPad MIni. Just a quick note to tell you that Open VPN has updated their app so that it is compatible with 64 bit ARM devices like the iPhone 5S, the iPad Air, and the iPad Mini Retina.That does not resolve the problem of how to easily choose among the various possibilities for the exit server. We need to find an easy way to choose.

Browsers do not remember realm authentication details

Hello,
When I try to access pages in a protected realm, I sometimes have to enter the username nad password 5 or more times. Sometimes just twice. Even if I tell my browser to remember the password/username, it still prompts me to authenticate later on. I don't think it's a browser problem because this affects Safari, Firefox (win and mac) and Internet Explorer.
Why would it try to authenticate so many times? And why doesn't it remember the authentication details? Would the webserver be sending out a different kind of identification ( or whatever?) each time, so the browser thinks it's a different site? (Perhaps related to that 16080 cache?)

Since it's affecting multiple browsers it has to be something server-side.
Realms are keyed off both the hostname and the URI in combination with the realm name. You should look at the URLs in question, make sure they all have the same realm name assigned, and check the web server logs to see what the server is saying about the authentication (e.g. look for any 'authentication failed' messages).
It is also true that the performance cache (:16080) port can affect this if you're using redirects since http://www.yoursite.net/ and http://www.yoursite.net:16080/ are completely different sites as far as the browser is concerned, and therefore would require separate sign-ins. Try turning off the performance cache to see if that helps.

In SAP PP where to maintain the details like Length, Width, Quantity of the material for production information.
Eg:
Client will procure a material of 10milli meter Thickness Mild Steel material of fixed dimensions lets say 4meters x 4Meters
{so the material dimensions are 4000Milli Meter (Length) x 4000Milli Meter (Height) x 10milli meter (Breadth) Mild steel Sheet}
For production the above plate is to cut into desired sizes as per the drawings given by Design Department of "N" no qtys.
(let say in drg for the component the desired sizes are 1000Milli Meter (Length) x 1000Milli Meter (Height) x 10milli meter (Breadth) of 4Nos}
In BOM where all we can maintain the above details. The same details wants to send it to production for their quick reference.
Also how the system will calculate the weight automatically for procuring of raw material with the above details.
Note: Purchase department will procure the full length as i mentioned above but not the desired lengths to be produce for production.
Pls let me know if any further information required for the solution to suggest.

Hi,
You can use two options...
1. Classification...create characteristics like length, height and breadth with CT04, assign these chars to class (CL01) and assign this class to your raw material in classification view in material master (MM02). When you receive the material from vendor during GR enter the values for characteristics. (activate Batch management).
Now when you create the Production Order, in the components for this raw material, assign the batch..
When this is issued against the Production order , production people can see the details of values in the batch...
2. Try to explore the option of variable size item concept during creation of BOM..

802.1x not saving authentication details

Hey all,
We're having a small issue with this.
We have an 802.1x implimentation working successfully, devices can connect and have correct network access etc.
The issue we have is that from IOS 4.3 upwards, the authentication details aren't being saved for the wireless connection.
Users are able to connect to the SSID, accept the certificate and login with domain credentials - but when the phone autolocks and the network disconnects it drops the authentication details, so users have to reconnect to the SSID manually and input username / password again.
So I'm wondering if this is by design in 4.3 upwards?
IOS 4.2.1 saves the credentials and automatically reconnects when the device is unlocked (which is how i expected 4.3 to behave)?
Appreciate any information anybody has on this.

Your RADIUS server needs to send the VSA Cisco-AV-Pair "device-traffic-class=voice" so that the switch puts the switch port into the voice domain to activate the Voice VLAN from the phones. Having your phones fall to the data domain is a classic problem of the missing VSA. Additionally, you want to have the switch port fail open for voice devices to "save the phones" in a server-dead scenario as well as provide users with an option to get to the critical VLAN:
authentication event server dead action authorize vlan 205
authentication event server dead action authorize voice
If a RADIUS server fails to respond, the switch will authorize the static voice VLAN.
Don't do "authentication periodic" for with IP phones. This can cause disruptions in an existing phone conversation as during authentication, the phone will lose network access until authentication succeeds (or a server dead event).
You will also want to provide a way to get users out of the auth-fail VLAN, guest VLAN, or critical VLAN (for you and I these are the same usually, your VLAN 205) if your dead server returns, and have the switch rerun dot1x:
authentication even server alive action reinit

It is in manufacturing process, where my client send a product out side to a third party for further process (sub contracting) of the product and recieves it back, then it is used with other rawmateral to get a finished product.
where should i enter these details that product going out of the factory and comming in, and its cost which incurred with third party.

Hi Kumar,
I would suggest that you will have to maintain the the third party work shop where your goods are going to be processed as a Warehouse. Now create the Production order as a Standard or a special one as the case maybe and mention the Warehouse no. in the Item level of the production Order. Once the oruduction Order is created and saved change the status to Released and issue it for production. Now the posting date of the Issue document would be the Issue date. Also make sure that at the Item level or the Production Order level you have changed the issue method to be manual since you want to record the issue date. Also once the Goods have been processed you can create the Receipt document by putting the warehouse as your warehouse.

1) I am trying to open the server console, but it is asking for authentication details....(Username & Password)..what values must be used here?
2)I tried to open SQLPLUS that came along with 10g installation.But am not able to enter becoz of authentication failure. (Username, Password & Hoststring)??
3)While triyng to install Oracle Integration B2B, it is asking for 4 parameters...
(b2b Schema password...host:port...Servicename...ias_admin password)..
I have gone through the installation guide as well...but no proper documentation was found for what VALUES should be used in these fields....prompt reply is appreciated..

Changing Proxy Authentication Details

Summary
After setting up proxy server authentication and successfully establishing a connection through the proxy server to the WibblyWideWeb, it does not appear to be possible to change the authentication details.
I.e. Removing or changing the Authenticator object (Authenticator.setDefault(...);) appears to have no effect once a 'successful' one has already been used.
Details
I have a GUI application that makes connections to the Internet.
It gives the user the option to configure it to pass through a Proxy server when making these connections.
For this, the user may also optionally provide authentication details for the Proxy server (authentication may not be necessary).
(All pretty standard so far...)
Everytime the application wishes to make a connection to the Internet it first sets up the Authenticator.
If the user has provided authentication details then the following code is executed, otherwise the 'default Authenticator' is set to null:
Authenticator.setDefault(new Authenticator()
protected PasswordAuthentication getPasswordAuthentication()
return new PasswordAuthentication(username, password);
});(Again, this is all pretty basic stuff as I understand it...)
With the use of some DBF's ("Developer's Best Friend" - System.out.println("..."); statements) I have been able to detect that once a 'successful' set of authentication details has been retrieved from the Authenticator object, the getPasswordAuthentication() method is never called again.
Therefore, changing the Authenticator with the intention of changing or removing the authentication details has no effect.
One possibility for this happening is because some code deep within the java.net API is caching these authentication details after having detected that they are valid credentials.
Do you have any other ideas?
How can I ensure (without a JVM restart, which appears to be the only current solution) that changes to authentication details take effect?

On a Mac, you may need to reset the sync history. As far as I know, not being a Mac user, this is accomplished in iSync. The only other solution that I could think of would be to delete the accounts on the phone, and then sync the phone and see if the new info comes over. However, I believe that resetting the sync history will do it.

The forwarding process varies from registration company to registration company. Generally speaking, you log into their website and access your account controls. Somewhere in the controls/settings for your account is where you enter in the long .mac address of your website which you want your domain name to forward to.
Note that there are two types of domain forwarding. With "regular" Domain forwarding (often just called domain forwarding), someone types in exampledomain.com and they are forwarded to web.mac.com/username/iWeb/exampledomainsite; once there, they see the long .mac url.
With domain masking, someone types in exampledomain.com, they are forwarded to your site on .mac, but the url still reads exampledomain.com. The advantage is they never have to see the long (and some thing ugly) .mac address; the disadvantage is that they can't easily bookmark particular pages because the url does not change as they move from page to page of your site.
Be sure you know which type of forwarding you want before you buy a domain name. Some registration/hosting companies only provide one or the other. The names of the two services vary somewhat between registration companies.

In moving from XP to Windows 7, I opted for Thunderbird as email client in order to bypass Microsoft's hyper-intrusive Windows Live Mail (I used Outlook Express for years).
I have a very complicated email structure, and it's taken me weeks (seriously) to learn how to replicate it in TBird. Now I'm trying to customize TBird further, but none of the TBird articles/forum Q&A's/Google searches address my questions.
There is no live tech support for TBird, and I'm just about ready to leave it for good. However -- one last effort: where can I find detailed, systematic HELP for advanced topics relating to Thunderbird?

I am no expert, but I don't know of any authoritative reference as to what elements of HTML and CSS are supported in Thunderbird. However, as I believe you appreciate, it's more than just what Thunderbird supports, but one must also think about what is likely to work in other email clients. Keep it simple. Avoid ancient deprecated tags that other email clients may not support, and for similar reasons, avoid cutting edge technology. Remember that recipients using tablets or smartphones won't appreciate large fancy email documents.
The only thing ''guaranteed'' to work in email is plain text. ;-)
If you haven't already discovered it, the Stationery add-on is designed specifically to support OE stationery in Thunderbird. Your existing stationery may "just work" in this add-on. It makes switching between various stationery templates much easier, but I'm not confident that it will affect interpretation of your CSS or HTML coding.
Your code is at least clean and minimal. Most times my involvement with troublesome templates and signatures centres on the horrible bloat and mso custom code generated by Word or Outlook.
Having said that, you and I are mortal enemies, as I don't have much patience with what you aspire to achieve. I specifically don't like background images, nor being obliged to suffer other folks' bizarre choice of typefaces and colours (but your simple 12pt black Tahoma is quite inoffensive. ;-) ) I'm of an age where my tolerance and eyesight are easily offended.
Nonetheless, I'm intrigued by how to parse the tag for the background image, as it doesn't look like a legitimate pathname to a graphics file. Does the background image actually appear as required?
