Where to find a deployed application on server

Hello,
Have been looking at the link below:
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/03/f6bc3d42f46c33e10000000a11405a/frameset.htm
and it seems to state that upon deployment, the information is placed on the j2ee server.
In the process, the following .sca file was created
xac.comXAC_COMP_1XAE_XACTrk_C.sca and inside there is a file called test.jsp,
How can you find the deployed application on the j2ee server?
How do you run it?
TIA

Above it was mentioned:
the path i have mentioned was in the portal, login to your portal,
under content administration u can find it.
The test created was under xac.com but the only thing that can be seen under :
Content Administration -> Web Dynpro  is:
sap.com and system defined content making it seem as though if you do not define you objects with sap.com, you wont see them in the portal.
Why is xac.com missing from the listing? How can I define it?
Also, I found the file test.jsp here the DTR. When clicking on it, it seemed to be "served" by the server (i.e. it displayed "Hello World").
http://xac.com:53000/dtr/ws/XACTrk/xac.com_XAC_COMP_1/dev/active/DCs/xac.com/webmod/slogan/_comp/webContent/test.jsp
But ...
I have not been able to :
-> Access it from the portal
-> Access using http://<host>:<port>/context-root/test.jsp (need to find application.xml)
Thanks!

where to find the best application for cleaning out my MacBook Air with OS X 10.7.5? I've been using MacKeeper but believe it's slowing down my laptop considerable. Thank you.

    How to maintain a Mac
    1. Make redundant backups, keeping at least one off site at all times. One backup is not enough. Don’t back up your backups; make them independent of each other. Don’t rely completely on any single backup method, such as Time Machine. If you get an indication that a backup has failed, don't ignore it.
    2. Keep your software up to date. In the Software Update preference pane, you can configure automatic notifications of updates to OS X and other Mac App Store products. Some third-party applications from other sources have a similar feature, if you don’t mind letting them phone home. Otherwise you have to check yourself on a regular basis. This is especially important for complex software that modifies the operating system, such as device drivers. Before installing any Apple update, you must check that all such modifications that you use are compatible.
    3. Don't install crapware, such as “themes,” "haxies," “add-ons,” “toolbars,” “enhancers," “optimizers,” “accelerators,” "boosters," “extenders,” “cleaners,” "doctors," "tune-ups," “defragmenters,” “firewalls,” "barriers," “guardians,” “defenders,” “protectors,” most “plugins,” commercial "virus scanners,” "disk tools," or "utilities." With very few exceptions, this stuff is useless, or worse than useless. Above all, avoid any software that purports to change the look and feel of the user interface.
The more actively promoted the product, the more likely it is to be garbage. The most extreme example is the “MacKeeper” scam.
As a rule, the only software you should install is that which directly enables you to do the things you use a computer for — such as creating, communicating, and playing — and does not modify the way other software works. Use your computer; don't fuss with it.
Safari extensions, and perhaps the equivalent for other web browsers, are a partial exception to the above rule. Most are safe, and they're easy to get rid of if they don't work. Some may cause the browser to crash or otherwise malfunction.  Some are malicious. Use with caution, and install only well-known extensions from relatively trustworthy sources, such as the Safari Extensions Gallery.
Never install any third-party software unless you know how to uninstall it. Otherwise you may create problems that are very hard to solve.
    4. Beware of trojans. A trojan is malicious software (“malware”) that the user is duped into installing voluntarily. Such attacks were rare on the Mac platform until sometime in 2011, but are now increasingly common, and increasingly dangerous.
There is some built-in protection against downloading malware, but you can’t rely on it — the attackers are always at least one day ahead of the defense. You can’t rely on third-party protection either. What you can rely on is common-sense awareness — not paranoia, which only makes you more vulnerable.
Never install software from an untrustworthy or unknown source. If in doubt, do some research. Any website that prompts you to install a “codec” or “plugin” that comes from the same site, or an unknown site, is untrustworthy. Software with a corporate brand, such as Adobe Flash Player, must be acquired directly from the developer. No intermediary is acceptable, and don’t trust links unless you know how to parse them. Any file that is automatically downloaded from a web page without your having requested it should go straight into the Trash. A website that claims you have a “virus,” or that anything else is wrong with your computer, is rogue.
In OS X 10.7.5 or later, downloaded applications and Installer packages that have not been digitally signed by a developer registered with Apple are blocked from loading by default. The block can be overridden, but think carefully before you do so.
Because of recurring security issues in Java, it’s best to disable it in your web browsers, if it’s installed. Few websites have Java content nowadays, so you won’t be missing much. This action is mandatory if you’re running any version of OS X older than 10.6.8 with the latest Java update. Note: Java has nothing to do with JavaScript, despite the similar names. Don't install Java unless you're sure you need it. Most people don't.
    5. Don't fill up your boot volume. A common mistake is adding more and more large files to your home folder until you start to get warnings that you're out of space, which may be followed in short order by a boot failure. This is more prone to happen on the newer Macs that come with an internal SSD instead of the traditional hard drive. The drive can be very nearly full before you become aware of the problem. While it's not true that you should or must keep any particular percentage of space free, you should monitor your storage consumption and make sure you're not in immediate danger of using it up. According to Apple documentation, you need at least 9 GB of free space on the startup volume for normal operation.
If storage space is running low, use a tool such as the free application OmniDiskSweeper to explore your volume and find out what's taking up the most space. Move rarely-used large files to secondary storage.
    6. Relax, don’t do it. Besides the above, no routine maintenance is necessary or beneficial for the vast majority of users; specifically not “cleaning caches,” “zapping the PRAM,” "resetting the SMC," “rebuilding the directory,” "defragmenting the drive," “running periodic scripts,” “dumping logs,” "deleting temp files," “scanning for viruses,” "purging memory," "checking for bad blocks," "testing the hardware," or “repairing permissions.” Such measures are either completely pointless or are useful only for solving problems, not for prevention.
The very height of futility is running an expensive third-party application called “Disk Warrior” when nothing is wrong, or even when something is wrong and you have backups, which you must have. Disk Warrior is a data-salvage tool, not a maintenance tool, and you will never need it if your backups are adequate. Don’t waste money on it or anything like it.

  • How to get list of deployed application on server programatically?

    Hi,
I am trying to build an application which will display list application(WebDynpro , Portal) deployed on portal server. In EP 7.0 we can go to Content Admin -> WebDynpro  page to get list of WebDynpro  application. Par files can be found under portal runtime->browse deployment page.
In CE we have nice feature which shows both portal application and WebDynpro  application in content Admin->portal content list.
I want to find list of applications programmatically, is there any way to achieve this? Are there any apis where I should take a look at.

Did you find a solution ?
Looks like ADF is doing something tricky to generate ADF_FACES-30107 error. Suggestions like increase timeout in web.xml and weblogic.xml or increase the value of CLIENT_STATE_MAX_TOKENS dont help.
Moreover, this looks to an issue only with clustered environment, embedded WLS works fine.

  • Where to find the MI Application Name

    Hi All,
I am creating a smart sync application. While creating the application that wizard does not ask to enter application name. But I herd that we need to give the same name to the war file as in the getApplicationName() method. I know that this method is in  AbstractMEHttpServlet class, we need to overwrite this method. Where can I mention this application name.......
Can any body tell me where to find this ...
    Thanks in Advance,
    Murthy

    hi murthy,
you will need to subclass the AbstractMEHttpServlet and in the implementation,
you will need to return a String for your application name on the getApplicationName()
method. In your project, if created by a wizard, you will find one subclass of the
    AbstractMEHttpServlet.
Note that the applicationName should not have a space character in it.
Now when your application is ready and archived, you can then upload it into
the middleware and register your application. During registration, you will need to
specify the same mcd name as your application name.
    hope this help.

  • Where to find out deployed enterprise applications?

    Hi experts,
I've made DC of type Web Module (let's call it WM) and packed it in DC of type Enterprise application (let's call it EA). Can I see EA in the portal (in the PCD or somewhere else)? And how can I access it? My Web Module contains of simple JSP files. What is the correct way to access them? I'm using EP 7.2

    Hi Musaka,
    > Can I see EA in the portal (in the PCD or somewhere else)?
No (or: very probably not, as I can't say it 100% for your version... see below...). Keep in mind that the portal itself is a web application. You can integrate other web apps (also deployed on the same server) via the AppIntegrator.
    > I'm using EP 7.2
?! This does not exist officially - are you with SAP and using some alpha version?!
    Hope it helps

  • Maximum lifetime for user ticket renewal - where to find this setting on member server?

    Hi,
we have set a value of 15 days for the GPO setting "Maximum lifetime for user ticket renewal" under kerberos policy  on a separate policy linked to domain.  The default value on "default domain policy" is 7. RSOP or GPRESULT
doesnt show the actual setting on a member server.  As both policies are linked at domain level, will the effective policy be 7 or 10 on member servers/Workstation?  How do we find the actual settings for above policy on any of the member servers?

    > or 10 on member servers/Workstation?  How do we find the actual settings
    > for above policy on any of the member servers?
Nowhere. You'll see this only on a DC, because this only affects DCs
(the KDC, to be precise, that issues these tickets).

  • How to download nwds deployed local deployed appluication from server,

    Dear all,
how to download nwds local deployed application from server please specify the path(if is not a par application and it ia not a dc component)it is a simple webdynpro application i lot my backup in development and quality and the application now exists in PRODUCTION. please help me in resolving this issue.
    Regards.

    Hi Kishore,
You can't download the full nwds project source. You can get the Java source code only.Select the app.jar file from your project path and it will give all java program code.First You should copy the .jar from (/usr/sap/<SID>/JC<xx>/j2ee/cluster/server<x>/apps/local/ProjectName(x)/webdynpro/public/lib/app.jar)
Some free Decompiler tool are available in online to extract the app.jar source (Tool Name DJ Java Decompiler or unzip the app.jar).
      Thanks in advance.

It depends in which modeu have deployed your applications:
If you will deploy your Application using nostage=”true” in the Above ANT script then It will be deployed on the Server in no Stage mode ...means the Actual Location of the Application will be used by the Server.
If you will deploy your Application using stage=”true” in the Above ANT script then It will be deployed on the Server in Stage mode ...means the the application will be staged inside the "<DOMAIN_HOME>\servers\<SERVER_NAME>\stage" directory.
please refer to Re: Maintaining Absolute paths inside EAR file

  • Where to find deployed application?

Hello, I am new to SAP Portal.
I installed a complete test environment, EP Portal 6 SP6.
Added also PDK 6.0.6. This one seems to run.
I used Netweaver Developer Studio to create and deploy
    a very simple Portal application.
It says deployment on server was successful, but I cannot find the application in the portal.
I logged in as Super Admin and expected the application
    in Content-Administration/ Portal-Content section
but I cannot recognize how to add the application to
the portal. Could someone please give me a hint
    - how to do this or
    - describe where to find a description of this
    - if I need additional roles to do this
    - if I did something wrong
    thanks a lot

    Hans,
if the deployment was successful, this means, that the PAR file could be successfully uploaded to the portal server and stored there.
In the portal content, you will only find "real" content objects: iviews, pages, roles and the like. In order to make your component appear there, you will have to create a new iView based on your PAR file. Simply right click in the portal content studio and select "new --> from portal archive". Then select the corrent archive (it's named just like the par file you created in NW Developer Studio without the suffix ".par").
Alternatively, use the Component Starter in the Java Development role. This will list all deployed components (read: "PAR files") and allow you to start them immediately for testing without having to create iViews for them.
