Hi,
Our customer want to edit the dunning letter template. They want the TOTAL which is a system variable field be seen also in the start of report
I copied this field from "Field_057," which is the field with the same name in the end of the report, then pasted it in the above area. (because I wanted to show the total due balance of the BP in the middle of the report as well, However, I believe merely copy and pasting in another area does not work. The following error occurs if I try to print the template above:
Printing error:Invalid variable number (RPT-6300)(Field: Field_203) Variable '148' [Message 200-38]
The selected field ("Field_203" is what I believe causes the error when printing because only when I add this field does the error occur).
Can you help how we can have the same data in the start of report.

Thanks for your reply. Do you mean it is not possible to have the same data in the start of report? Is there any other workaround like creating a fromula?

How to find and modify underlying XML Template for a OA Framework page

Env: R12
There is a standard OA Framework page in Purchasing that can be reached by
Purchasing Manager > Buyer Work Center > Orders > Search for a specific PO > Open the PO Page
Then Open the PO Details page for what you searched
Now in the PO Details Page, On the right hand top corner is a drop down list for Actions > View PDF
This generates a PDF output of the PO, PO Details and the terms and conditions.
I want to modify this pdf. ( Change the template and add/remove a few columns)
I believe that this is an XML Pub report running in the background but how to find out what report is running and how to modify its template ??

Hi Gabbar,
Click on 'About this Page' and figure out the page, controller, AM and VOs. You can download these xml and class files from JAVA_TOP. Page can be downloaded from mds directory under PRODUCT_TOP.

Saving print layout templates

In a future release, would it be possible to have a function whereby you can save your print layouts in a folder, as a backup precaution incase you accidentally delete or alter an original one? At the moment, you can only back the PLD templates up via daily database backups. I have a customer who has spent a very long time perfecting their print layout templates and he thinks this functionality would be very useful and reassuring.

Within 8.8 release, we are introducing new control of 'Report and Layout Management' which enables joint management of PLD and Crystal Reports layouts. This enhances the usability of maintenance of print layouts and should reduce a risk of accidential deletion of the print layout.
Moreover, Crystal Reports can be also saved outside SAP Business One as a separate file (similarly like those for XL Reporter).

I use the iTextSharp project to create PDF's (http://itextsharp.sourceforge.net/)... its free and it works (A little hard to use, but it works). A more simple PDF-project are SharpPDF (http://sharppdf.sourceforge.net/). This is also free and very easy to use, but not that many features.

Click on the blue Apple icon at the top left of your screen and choose About this Mac. That will tell you what your OS version is and what amount of RAM you have. The "More Info" button in the pop-up screen will give you the Apple System Profiler application and that will give you whole bunches of information on the drive space used etc.

I would like to know the standard smartform name and standard print program name which can be used for sales quotation through transaction VA23.
For eg: The standard output type for billing document (For T code VF03) is RD00 and it' smartform name is LB_BIL_INVOICE. It's print program name is RLB_INVOICE.
Similarly, I would like to know the standard smartform name and standard print program name for AN00 output type which is used for sales quotation. .

I have created a new z print program and z sapscript for dunning letters(FI).
Where can i assign my custom program so that it is used for printing the dunning z forms. In SPRO where do we maintain this configuration.

hi Abhishek,
you need to configure this in IMG; follow the instructions mentioned below:
1->Goto SPRO->SAP reference IMG
2->navigate to FINANCIAL ACCOUNTING (new) ->ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE AND ACCOUNTS PAYABLE ->BUSINESS TRANSACTIONS->DUNNING
3->Expand the node PRINTOUT and execute ASSIGN DUNNING FORMS.
Here you define the SAP SCRIPT form created for the purpose. Save the configurations.
4-> Go to the SAPSCRIPT editor, in change mode for the newly created form.
5-> choose any of the window, press F9, to go to the text editor.
6-> choose any of the text symbols used, and navigate to GOTO->PRINT PROGRAM->SYMBOL DEFINITION.
7-> in the new screen, click the button, APPEND PRINT PROGRAM
8-> Now enter the new ZPROGRAM created, save .......thats it....

Where can i find and edit startup applications

After installing Word on my macbook pro, the application starts automatically when at startup. I would like to know where to find the list of startup items so I can edit this and others out.

I have tried this, but when I go to the system preferences, user groups then log in items....THERE AREN'T ANY APPLICATIONS LISTED! Although I am only to prevent Word from opening, several other applications open, too- MAIL, iphoto ect. I'm usually pretty tech savvy, but this has me stumped! Every discussion I have seen regarding this says to do the same thing.
I also tried your second recommendation regarding re-opening windows, but I don't think that relates to this, simply because I haven't even USED word AT ALL since I purchased and installed it.
...any other suggestions?
