Where to find info on ArrayList or other methods?

Hi,
Can someone tell me how to find any resourses if I want to know how to use a method like ArrayList?
I can't find what I want in FORUMS, but I know it's there, somewhere....
could you please tell me how to search for that ?
Thanks

The most useful resource for Java coding is the Javadoc API ( http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.3/docs/api/index.html ).
You can browse on the Web or download it to your own PC for more frequent use.
I find the the Index function useful when I'm not sure exactly what I'm looking for.
Good Luck.

  • Creative Cloud for Teams... where to find infos?

we use a volume license at work for CS6 Master Collection and we need special packages for deployment.
where can i find infos about CC for teams (or whatever the name is)?
is the licensing still done via files for CC or do we need a internet connection to activate the software?
at least there must be a way to download all CC apps at once and install them or create a deployment package?

    Hi hamada2003,
Sorry for not responding earlier. Have you checked out the Creative Cloud for Teams FAQ? Here is the link: http://www.adobe.com/products/creativecloud/faq.html#cc-teams
You do need an internet connection for authenticating once every 99 days with "Teams". It's been announced that there is going to be a way for IT to package and deploy packages to users' workstations, but that's not available quite yet.
    Hope that helps,
    Kevin

  • If your computer is reformatted can it still be found with find my iphone or any other method?

    See title

Apple will do nothing to assist.  Problems about proof of ownership are too complex.  Once the computer has been formatted it cannot be traced by Find My iPhone or any other software process.

  • Where to find info on TOTAL media size of my iTunes Library?

    Hi all.
While we can view on the left-hand column of iTunes the total size of Music, Movie etc
Is there somewhere I can see the *total media size of my iTunes Library??* I wana see whether I can fit my entire iTunes Library into a 64GB iPod touch, instead of "lugging around" an iPod classic.
    Thanks and cheers

Open a new finder window - go to where your iTunes library is at (where you should see all the artist folders with album folders with the actual music files - depending on how you set iTunes to organize your music in the first place)
    - when you find your library folder, just highlight select it, then use the finder menu > file > get info - a new window will open and should automatically calculate the size of the folder - this should give you enough information to see if you can use your entire library on another device, or if it is too large.

  • Where to find info about JNDI and Glassfish 3.1.2?

    Hello,
i am searching already long time to find information on how to find e.g. an EntityManagerFactory using JNDI and an Glassfish server.
Can anybody point me to some useable documentation? The GF admin and developer and deployment guide as well as the reference
does not provide a lot of information. They write about general JNDI topics, how to configure data sources, that JNDI can be used to
lookup resources and the like, on other places people write about, hey, lookup the EntityManagerFactory for your persistence unit
(persistence.xml), but i am not able to find what JNDI names i can lookup and where and how i can find out what JNDI names are
available in my server at all.
    Thanks for any hint,
    Chris

    Hello
Maybe it sounds stupid now but what kind of info do you need exactly?
When you need BIOS update you can visit BIOS download page - http://www.toshiba.eu/innovation/download_bios.jsp
For drivers Toshiba drivers download page - http://www.toshiba.eu/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp
When you need Users manuals document you can download it from - http://www.toshiba.eu/innovation/download_manuals.jsp
General info about this machine you can find on http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/unitdetails/
    Thats all you can find.
I have old P200 and it is the same machine as your A200 just bigger with 17 display. In BIOS under advanced BIOS options there is SATA controller mode option and two options: AHCI and Compatibility mode.
It should be used with AHCI mode and then you will have full HDD performance. Many people use compatibility mode to install old WXP without loading SATA driver.
Can you please tell us what kind of info do you need and what do you want to do with this machine.
I really hope we can help you somehow.

  • Where to find info on function based indexes

    Hello,
Using Oracle 11.2, can someone tell me where I can find information about existing Function Based indexes in my database?
I want to shrink the unused space on a table, but there is a FB index that I have to drop in order to shrink the space.
Then, I need to recreate it after I shrink the space.
But how do I find out what functions the index is created to be used for?
I've already looked at dba_indexes, and dba_ind_expressions with no luck.
I see the index, but I don't see what the functions are that are being applied for the FB index.
    Thanks in advance.

Yes, this is why I'm also confused, which is what I pointed out in the first entry of this thread.
    Notice here:
    SQL> select index_name, index_type from dba_indexes where table_name = 'TQR1';
    INDEX_NAME                     INDEX_TYPE
    IDX$$_0FFD0001                 NORMAL
    IDX$$_211C0002                 NORMAL
    TQR1_C3                        FUNCTION-BASED NORMAL
    . . .Now, let's confirm another way....
    select OWNER, INDEX_NAME, INDEX_TYPE, TABLE_OWNER, TABLE_NAME
    from dba_indexes where index_name = 'TQR1_C3';
    OWNER      INDEX_NAME INDEX_TYPE                  TABLE_OWNER  TABLE_NAME
    TQ         TQR1_C3    FUNCTION-BASED NORMAL       TQ           TQR1
    1 row selected.Now, let's show the selection from dba_ind_expressions...
    INDEX_OWNER  INDEX_NAME TABLE_OWNER  TABLE_NAME COLUMN_EXPRESSI COLUMN_POSITION
TQ           TQR1_C3    TQ           TQR1       "C3"                          1I don't know the password for the TQ owner, so I'll have to wait until I can find that out before I can run DBMS_METADATA.

  • Where to find info on Logic Board Ext. Warranty!!!  Imac G5

Hello--I own an early IMac G5 and have had the logic board fixed twice using the ext. warranty for power/board issues, now my computer is unusable again showing same signs, and I can't find information directly from Apple now showing this warranty info including serial no. ranges. Without that info, the repair store had no idea my computer was still under warranty and I'm sure they'll need proof of it again. Problem is I believe warranty extended to a max of 3 yrs. from purchase date which is end of this year 2007--any help in directing me to page for info or even posting info here would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance and happy holidays,
    James
    Boise

You have found the correct information, but make sure that you call quickly and get a case number. The repairs themselves will be guaranteed for 90 days, which in effect, extends the warranty by that much. If this is the third occurrence of the problem, I would ask for a new computer - be polite but firm, explain what you have been through, and see if you can be passed up the chain till you find someone with enough authority to authorize a new machine.
Let us know how you make out,

  • Where to find info on 4.71 Business Content (datasources mostly)

Our R/3 system is still at version 4.71, and we likely won't be upgrading soon.  I've tried looking online for standard BW business content (datasources), but all I seem to find require a higher version of the R/3 system.
Our BW system is on 7.0, however it appears much of the 7.0 content can't be used with our current R/3 version.  Is there someplace on help.sap.com, or elsewhere, that would have content for 4.71?
    Thanks

  • I'm getting a lot of crashes with ver. 4.0. The most common is this - js::Shape::trace(JSTracer*) I don't know what it is or where to find info. Any suggestions?

I get about 5-6 crashes a day and this one seems to be the most prevalent. I don't know how to troubleshoot these things.

I have checked the minutes of recent meetings at Mozilla, and they have identified the cause of that crash. The minutes state it will be fixed in Firefox 4.0.1
Pending the result of QA testing, Firefox 4.0.1 is due to be shipped on April 26th.

  • Hi, how do I manage storage? Disk Utility says "other" is taking up most of my storage but I don't know where to find "other".  Please help!

Hi, how do I manage storage? Disk Utility says “other” is taking up most of my storage but I don’t know where to find “other".  Please help!

For information about the Other category in the Storage display, see this support article. If the Storage display seems to be inaccurate, try rebuilding the Spotlight index.
Empty the Trash if you haven't already done so. If you use iPhoto, empty its internal Trash first:
              iPhoto ▹ Empty Trash
Do the same in other applications, such as Aperture, that have an internal Trash feature. Then restart the computer. That will temporarily free up some space.
According to Apple documentation, you need at least 9 GB of available space on the startup volume (as shown in the Finder Info window) for normal operation—not the mythical 10%, 15%, or any other percentage. You also need enough space left over to allow for growth of the data. There is little or no performance advantage to having more available space than the minimum Apple recommends. Available storage space that you'll never use is wasted space.
When Time Machine backs up a portable Mac, some of the free space will be used to make local snapshots, which are backup copies of recently deleted files. The space occupied by local snapshots is reported as available by the Finder, and should be considered as such. In the Storage display of System Information, local snapshots are shown as  Backups. The snapshots are automatically deleted when they expire or when free space falls below a certain level. You ordinarily don't need to, and should not, delete local snapshots yourself. If you followed bad advice to disable local snapshots by running a shell command, you may have ended up with a lot of data in the Other category. Ask for instructions in that case.
See this support article for some simple ways to free up storage space.
You can more effectively use a tool such as OmniDiskSweeper (ODS) or GrandPerspective (GP) to explore the volume and find out what's taking up the space. You can also delete files with it, but don't do that unless you're sure that you know what you're deleting and that all data is safely backed up. That means you have multiple backups, not just one. Note that ODS only works with OS X 10.8 or later. If you're running an older OS version, use GP.
Deleting files inside a photo or iTunes library will corrupt the library. Changes to such a library must be made from within the application that created it. The same goes for Mail files.
Proceed further only if the problem isn't solved by the above steps.
ODS or GP can't see the whole filesystem when you run it just by double-clicking; it only sees files that you have permission to read. To see everything, you have to run it as root.
    Back up all data now.
If you have more than one user account, make sure you're logged in as an administrator. The administrator account is the one that was created automatically when you first set up the computer.
Install the app you downloaded in the Applications folder as usual. Quit it if it's running.
Triple-click anywhere in the corresponding line of text below on this page to select it, then copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C:
    sudo /Applications/OmniDiskSweeper.app/Contents/MacOS/OmniDiskSweeper 2>&-
    sudo /Applications/GrandPerspective.app/Contents/MacOS/GrandPerspective 2>&-
Launch the built-in Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad and start typing the name.
Paste into the Terminal window by pressing command-V. You'll be prompted for your login password, which won't be displayed when you type it. Type carefully and then press return. You may get a one-time warning to be careful. If you see a message that your username "is not in the sudoers file," then you're not logged in as an administrator. Ignore any other messages that appear in the Terminal window.
The application window will open, eventually showing all files in all folders, sorted by size. It may take a few minutes for the app to finish scanning.
I don't recommend that you make a habit of doing this. Don't delete anything as root. If something needs to be deleted, make sure you know what it is and how it got there, and then delete it by other, safer, means. When in doubt, leave it alone or ask for guidance.
When you're done with the app, quit it and also quit Terminal.

  • Using 5.0 on XP. Location bar is blank most of the time. I used to be able to copy location to paste link into other documents - no more. Where'd the info go?

I'm using 5.0 on XP. Location bar is blank most of the time. I used to be able to copy location to paste as link into other documents - no more. Where'd the info go? Example: My home page is "Google.com." "http://www.google.com/webhp?sourceid=navclient-ff" used to display in the location bar if I clicked on the "home" icon. Now it goes to the page ok, but a faint prompr "Go to a Webpage" appears where the URL used to be. Now if I want to copy/ paste the link I have to find the page on Google Chrome and do it from there which requires extra steps. Did I inadvertently change an "option setting" or do something else to cause this?

-> go to View Menu -> Toolbars -> select "Navigation Toolbar"
-> go to View Menu -> Zoom -> click "Reset"
-> go to View Menu -> Page Style -> select "Basic Page Style"
-> go Tools Menu -> Clear Recent History -> Time range to clear: select EVERYTHING -> click Details (small arrow) button -> place Checkmarks on ALL Options -> click "Clear Now"
-> go to Help Menu -> select "Restart with Add-ons Disabled"
Firefox will close then it will open up with just basic Firefox. Now
    -> go to Tools Menu -> Add-ons -> Extensions section -> REMOVE any Unwanted/Suspicious Extension (add-ons) -> Restart Firefox
You can enable the Trustworthy Add-ons later. Check and tell if its working.

Click on the hard drive on the desktop or in the sidebar and choose Get Info from the File menu.

Manually delete applications you drag-installed and use a provided uninstaller or software such as AppZapper for others.
