Why microsoft office apps are fully activated in iphone not in ipad.????
    I deplore this act

I don't see why you can't express a comment here.  I have seen before how some people are simply gratuitously rude to others in this community.  If you have an issue with a comment express it respectfully.
The forum is 'Using iPad>Discussions'- to use the iPad we use apps.  I cannot see any harm in sharing experiences about the apps we use or would like to use.
I earlier commented on the MS OFFICE WORD APP but my comments have disappeared without any explanation to me as to why.  If you are going to delete something then explain why.
I was simply sharing my experience of USING IPAD with that app.  The app is rubbish.  In its 'free' version it is just a viewer.  I paid the £79.99 to get the full version but did not know that even this full version has no built-in print function and cannot open rtf documents.  If I had seen a post to that effect in this community I would have been forewarned.
I am not using the MS Word app and am sticking with the apps I used before MS launched their app.

All of the "Office" document editing applications on the iPad have limitations.  Best try them out to see if they meet your needs.

  • Unable to find Microsoft.Office.Server.Search.dll

I am trying to develop a SharePoint Search Server application to run Queries through Console Application.
I need a reference to Microsoft.Office.Server.Search.dll for this to work. I tried looking for this DLL in list of Assemblies in "Add Reference" Modal. Also, based on MSDN article below, have also looked at
    %ProgramFiles%\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\web server extensions\15\ISAPI
    MSDN Arcticle: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/office/jj163300%28v=office.15%29.aspx
I am unable to find this dll in either place. Where else can I look for this DLL? Is this something we need to download?
    Thanks!

    Found the solution.
    %ProgramFiles%\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\web server extensions\15\ISAPI
    was taking me to
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\15\ISAPI
    Instead of
    C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\15\ISAPI
Edit: Using %ProgramFiles% from Start>Run works fine and takes to C:\Program Files. Though using this path from Visual Studio causes this confusion.

  • All microsoft Office apps crash at startup!

I hope someone can help me. I've never had a problem with Microsoft Office 2004 on my Mac (Word, Power Point and Excel apps) until now. For years I've been using the auto-updater and starting yesterday, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc. all crash at startup. Even the uninstaller crashes. No point in trying to reload updaters, they all crash too.
I've tried removing preferences, checking for corrupt fonts, etc. Nothing at all is working. Can't open the apps or individual files at all.
the crash report reads as follows:

    Can someone help me?
Will purchasing a later version of Microsoft Office for Mac help?

Personally, I really don't care for Word for Mac. I also have the 2004 version....need it for the Wife's online college classes.
    It always does something weird.
I wondering if you have some issues with your system?
First, try using Disk Utility to do a Disk Repair, as shown in this link, while booted up on your install disk.
You could have some directory corruption. Let us know what errors Disk Utility reports and if DU was able to repair them. Disk Utility's Disk Repair is not perfect and may not find or repair all directory issues. A stronger utility may be required to finish the job. If you have DiskWarrior, run that too.
    After that Repair Permissions.
No need to report Permissions errors....we all get them.
Let us know if that helped!

  • Cannot find Microsoft Office after hp recovery

I am having a HP Pavilion 15 Notebook PC 15-n208TX. I got the Microsoft Office 2007 preinstalled when I purchased my laptop. I performed hp recovery and after that I could not find MS Office. Please help

HP do not supply MS Office full version except for Starter or Trial and once you recover/reinstall OS its gone. Hence you need to purchase Office application.
    You can try

  • Microsoft Office Apps fail to work after 10.6.7 update

Has anyone else's office apps failed to open after installing the OS update?
This is a brand new iMac only 5 days old using office 2011 with current updates.
    Regards.
    Mike.

After doing some Internet research and speaking with a second-level Apple tech, together we came up with the following solution.
Shut down, then start in safe-mode (hold shift key while re-starting). This will clear the font cache and re-build it. After doing this, when I started Word 2004 it took some time, but it showed the following fonts as corrupt: APC Courier, Bastion, Chicago TU, Courier TU, Latinski - and indicated they should be removed. Word then started up even though I just clicked OK to those messages and didn't remove them. I then re-started Word and it came up normally even though those fonts are still in the font book. By the way, I have downloaded the freeware app "Fontnuke-1.17," but haven't used it yet. There is a shareware app, "Fontfinagler," which may also be useful if safe mode doesn't work for you.

  • Mountain Lion upgrade won't let me open Microsoft Office app's.

I just upgraded to Mountain Lion and now can't open any of my Microsoft Office applications.  Can anybody help me?

Which versions of Office?  If you upgraded from Snow Leopard and you're on Office 2004, you're out of luck.  If you're on a newer version of Office you should be OK.

  • Deleting Microsoft Office App

I have both Microsoft Office 2008 and 2011 installed on my MacBook Pro.  I want to delete 2008 but before I do wanted to be sure doing so would not also delete the documents, spreadsheets and powerpoint presentations I created using it.  Will those still be discoverable using 2011?

No deleting 2008 will not delete documents, Office 2011 will open 2008 documents.

  • Where did my microsoft office go

microsoft office disappeared on my macbook pro, i've installed yosemite and it's been working fine, but suddenly it disappeared?!?!? any idea what happened to it or whee it is?

I don't know.  Do you have reason to suspect iTunes (the forum in which you posted) had something to do with it?
Actually I bet I do know. Microsoft is infamous for installing things all over the place which make it fragile. Although an operating system upgrade is supposed to not affect previously installed items I could see the upgrade either changing one of those components, or your version of Office simply no longer working with the newer operating system.,  Why don't you just re-install it?

  • Where to find newly installed apps?

This is my first time having such problem. I've just installed this app called booklet creater, and I went thru the normal procedure for installation. And it says it has been installed. Problem is that, I can't find the icon of that app in the 'application' folder.
    helpp?

Use Spotlight and/or manually search your hard drive for the app.  Did you check your Download folder?
Download Find File which is better than Spotlight in locating files.

  • QT White screen - where to find Microsoft Codec

I'm having the same problem several others are; since a recent update, Quicktime movies have sound but are simply white screens. Nothing has worked for me. Apple's documentation says to download a missing codec. According to the AVI files I am trying to open the codec is:
    "Microsoft ISO MPEG-4 V1.1, 640 x 480, Millions"
I would've thought this was a standard codec. Anyone know where I can download/install this from? Also, I am on an Intel iMac (wonder if the Intel chip is where the codec problem is)
iMac Intel Core Duo 20"   Mac OS X (10.4.8)

I would've thought this was a standard codec. Anyone know where I can download/install this from? Also, I am on an Intel iMac (wonder if the Intel chip is where the codec problem is)
You might try Perian (free). It is supposed to handle MS-MPEG-4 v1, v2, and v3 among others.
