Where to find sample nicknames thesaurus file?

Hi,
I'm Reading 11g R2 Oracle® Text Application Developer's Guide, and I'm trying to follow sample code in chapter 9 "Using Oracle Text Name Search". According to comments, file dr0thsnames.txt should be in $ORACLE_HOME/ctx/sample/thes directory, but I can't find it. I'm using Oracle 11 g R2. somebody knows where can I find it?

You need to download the "Oracle Database 11g Release 2 Examples" for your platform, then follow the instructions to install it.
It installs a number of other things that may or may not interest you, but there's no option to install "only" the Text thesaurus, knowledge base, and names files.
Once the Examples are installed, you will still need to follow the instructions to load the thesaurus into your database.

Where to find newest interMedia jar file?

I'm trying to implement the sample photo database servlet using Oracle's interMedia. In it, they use the method getFactory(), which has been deprecated. In place, they say to now use the method getORADataFactory(). However, I cannot seem to find the newest jar file which has this new method. Where can I find it and what is it's name? I've looked in the installation of Oracle 9i, but it still includes the old ordim.jar and ordim11.jar files.

Ignore the deprecated error messsage. This is the supported way to interface with interMedia java in 9i

It still uses the same file, but it is contained within the omni.jar archive. omni.jar appears to use non-standard methods when compressing the file, so making changes to files inside it may lead to unexpected results and may cause problems with Firefox.

Where to find the number of files in a folder (in Finder)?

I just upgraded from Snow Leopard.
In the past I could look at the bottom of the finder window and see how many files where in a particular folder. And how much megawattage they respresented in total.
Is there some kind of preference I can set in Mountain Lion to be able to see the 'number' of files in a given folder?

Where to find sample schemas?

Hi all,
I need to install the hr sample database. The SQL book that I am reading uses the hr db for the examples. The book claims that the schemas should be in
$OH/demo/schema/human_resources
I just did a full install of 10g and can only find hr_code.sql in that directory. Where do I get the schemas to create the hr database?

If you did the default install of the DB then the HR schema should already have been installed for you (just that the account is locked by default).
Enter user-name: hr
Enter password:
ERROR:
ORA-28000: the account is lockedJust unlock the account using ALTER USER command and you should be ready to go.

Where to find out the log file under java developer role

Hi,
I have some application created in NWDS. While running it after the PAR deployment and all. some exception is thrown. the exception iD is given. I was trying to find out wher the log files are located in the portal so that I can analyze the exception.
I think it is under the java developer role....but under that......I checked the log viewer tool and all.....but exactly where the log files would be located. so that with the exception ID , I can search and find out the log for the particular exception.
any ideas?

Use the search option in log viewer for this purpose. In the server it would be located in
<i>usr/sap/sid/jc00/cluster/server0/logs</i>

i use to find the reporting services log files in the msrs folder in sharepoin 2010 integrated mode. but when we migrated to sharepoint 2013. i am not able to find the logs.i wanted to check all the executed sql statement using the logs as we don't have
access to sql server profiler. does anybody know the location of yhe logs?

I think that I miss oraxdb,jar on the classpath.

As far as I know this is a known bug and happens only when the XSD contains a complex type with the 'mixed="true"' attribute. Please refer metalink note ID 1292968.1

Ctxload can't find thesaurus file

I am using Oracle 10.1 on Linux. I could not find the supplied thesaurus file dr0thsus.txt under $ORACL_HOME/ctx/sample/thes. So I copied it from somewhere else, and put it under my user account.
When I tried to load it with the following command under the same directory as dr0thsus.txt,
ctxload -user xxx/yyy -thes -name DEFAULT -file dr0thsus.txt
I got the following error:
DRG-11513: file not found; arguments: []
file not found; arguments: [Fail to OCIInitialize...]
What did I do wrong?

As a Linux user, I own the dr0thsus.txt file. I can open it in a text editor.
As an Oracle user, I have ctxapp privilege. I can create CONTEXT indices, and create thesauri using CTX_THES package.
But I can't load dr0thsus.txt into a thesaurus.
