Where to find screen and field definitions?

Dear All,
I need to be able to find all the screen and field definitions that exist in the SAP Repository for an application I am developing. Can anybody tell me where to find them? I specifically need to know which field types are defined for each screen (GuiTextField, GuiComboBox, GuiTableControl, etc.) as well as their IDs as they appear in the SAP GUI.
Can anybody help with this? I've looked all over and haven't been able to find out where this information is stored in the data dictionary.

Hi all,
I am new to SAP and trying to figure out where I can best find information on the logical/technical datamodel, including entity/table and field definitions. I also am looking forminfo on primary keys, foreign keys, relationships between entities/tables, data model overviews/graphs. What places should I go to get this information?
So I am NOT looking for a specific table, I would like to get a general overview of the logical/technical data structure.

Hi Paul,
SAP has several thousands of tables (not including structures, views, etc.) So, an overview look on the whole database would be rather problematic. You can search the http://help.sap.com for the functional info. For the technical one, you can go to SE84 and find the requested info there. I suggest you to explore the technical info concentrating on specific issue, otherwise you will sink in the sea of SAP objects.

If your contacts are synced to your computer then they are in the supported app you are syncing with.

The free trial that we offer is for Acrobat (we don't offer trials of the online services). So, the first thing you need to do is download Acrobat from http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat.html. When you launch it the first time after installing it, you should be prompted to accept the end-user license agreement.
Then, so convert PDF files to Word, choose File > Save as Other > Microsoft Word > Word Document.

Where to find "Partner Text", field from inside transaction IW33?

Inside the transaction IW33, there is a folder/screen Partner. Inside this Partner screen it is a field u201CNameu201D. This is the third line from left. Do anyone now where in the database the data inside the field u201CNameu201D is been read? If I look into the technical details, I do only se the structure name. And that is DIADR-NAME_LIST. I do want to find out where this data has been read from.

In Tcode: ME42, enter the request for quotation number (RFQ) and press enter. System will take you to 'Item Overview' screen. From menu select 'Header' -- 'Details' or press F6. Then the system will take you to 'Header screen' there you can see the 'company code' after RFQ number field.
Or
Directly from Tcode: ME42, enter the request for quotation number,then from menu select 'Header' -- details. Here you can have the company code field.
The data for company here too will get updated in table and field EKKO-BUKRS.

FI-TV Modification of standard screens and fields in Trip Scheme

Dear Forumers,
tyring to modify standard screens in transaction TRIP. In SPRO -- Dialogue management -- IMG Management of schemes and fields I made a copy of trip scheme for our country variant and trying to change settings of some fields, but there is no reaction in TRIP - all fields are the same, no changes... What am I doing wrong? Could anyone help me with this stuff?

Let me describe the problem, so that you will understand the challenge.
Prerequisite: I need to add an additional CHAR or TEXT field "Document number" in TRIP transaction which will allow a manager to manually enter a document number of a trip. Further this field has to be added in reports as well, so that manager could get all the trip details due to this new field "Document number".
Problem: I've been trying to set up Trip Schema for trip entry scenario Travel Manager (TRIP) via IMG Schema and field control (or transaction FITVFELD, which is the same as the above mentioned IMG), in order to find some field which can be potentially used as a template for the field "Document number" (for instance, we'll take some look-alike field, change its text and use it as a field "Document number").
As you might know, this IMG implements field control - standard view of the field or alternative, puts some default values to the filed and so on. But no matter how I try to change fields in TRIP, there's no reaction from the system - the fields do not change. For instance, I put some default values to field "City" - but this values do not appear in TRIP as a default value.
I'm using a copy of a trip schema 01 and PL.
What am I doing wrong?

How to find tables and fields in the standard program.

Hi to all,
              I am very new to ABAP,
            i am willing to write Report ,that is if i enter the vendor number i have to get item,quantity , name...with dateetc....
My approach was : i went to ME2L and i gave vendor number and date in that then i got some data ,then i got the program of that list ( it was there in bottom right) i.e, SAPMSSY0 .
           Then i entered in SE38,in that i go with Display Object LIst to find out the tables and fields,but i failed to found.
My question is : I can write the reports if i know the fields and tables location....
                          Here i want to know the ,if i enter the Vendor No, i have to get the regarding information about that NO,_for that i have to know the fields and tables_ of item and cost ....every thing ...
       if my question was not clear please ask me i will explain you again...
      Can you help me how to find...

Hi Bhanu,
   Goto transaction SE84 then follow the path
SE84-->ABAP DICTIONARY--->FIELDS---->TABLE FIELDS-->ENTER THE TABLE OR FIED NAME you want to find
    and EXECUTE the programm you will get all the information regarding that field or table.

How to find Tables and Fields from R3 that some InfoSource use

Hi people,
I already know how to get the table or fields from R3 that some InfoSource use by "Portal SAP" that our friend here answered.
Now, I would like to know if there is some way to get this but using some transaction in the ECC6 (R3) or BW.
I ask by that because I will be some situation that I will have to know tables and fields that some InfoSource use and maybe there isn't in the Portal SAP.
Obs.: I don't know ABAP, so I would like some way that doesn't use Debug (ABAP), if it is possible.

In many cases you will be able to get documentation from help.sap.com regarding the tables and fields used by standard datasources. For example for all the Sales and Distribution datasources you can refer the below link

Is there a file in which OSX stores the home directory path, where to find it and how to edit it in Windows 7?

Hi everyone,
I have a SSD with the System and Apps on it, and another HDD containing the home directory.
I made the mistake to rename the Volume the home directory is on whilst being logged in, the system reacted accordingly and prompted some Password requests,
and I then tried to choose the newly named Volume in the Advanced options dialogue in Users & Groups (example seen below).
I tried to change the name back to what it was in the hope of it all being back to normal again, but instead it's completely messed up now and I cannot login anymore (prompt: "You are unable to log in to the user account "xxxx" at this time. Logging in to the account failed because an error occurred")
All I can do now is boot my Windows 7 and try to fix this from there, I can read/write the OSX Volumes thanks to MacDrive.
So now the big question is:
IS THERE A FILE containing the path to the home directory (red arrow)?
IF SO, WHERE can I find it?
And is there a way to edit it in Windows?
My guess is that if I rename the Volume, AND change this path to something identical again, it might solve the issue.

I bought a Lenovo Edge 15 Mode: 80H1 from BestBuy.
Where do I find the drivers, manuals, and other related support docs for this specfic model? When I search for it here, http://support.lenovo.com/us/en, I can't find it.

Acutally I found it. This model is the Lenovo Edge, which is different from Lenvo Thinkpad Edge.

I use FM READ_TEXT with KOPF (ord header) = ID, and AUFK (ord text) = Object, to successfully retrieve the long text for an order.
I have another requirement to read the Inspection text from the material, that I can see if I do MM03.
Can I replace the ID and Object names to do this in the same order?

I have 22 episodes of "Tigger and company" in que in my iTunes account by accident that I do not want to download. I go into my "purchases" to delete and the are not there. Any ideas on where to find them and delete them so they will stop being qued?

Please advise on how to remove "purchases" in iTunes that were done so in error - that haven't been downloaded to your account - and you want to stop them from being downloaded and remove them from the "que" of what is available for downloading. I have checked the "purchased" tab on my account and history to see if can delete from there and aren't listed.

First of all, you should always save you photos on computer like any other digital camera.
Backup on iCloud or iTunes only backup your Camera Roll. The other photos should be already on the computer.
Note: Photos are not saved in iTunes, it's only a conduit between your iPhone and your photo managing software on computer.

Install shield is a part of MS Windows not with the BusinessObjects so I was not able to find any BO document on it.
