  • How do I get the PDF Convert feature of Adobe Acrobat Pro Extended 9.4.4, which makes a PDF of a web page interactive, to work in Firefox 4.0.1?

I just installed (on my Windows 7 Ultimate (64 bit) operating system/Intel i5 CPU M560 2.67 GHz) and am now using as my default browser Firefox 4.0.1 because Internet Explorer 9 was giving me so much trouble--lack of display of web content, lack of PDF reproduction when web content displayed, screwball formatting display, etc., all of which has been remedied by the mere installation of Firefox 4.0.1.
How do I get the PDF Convert feature of Adobe Acrobat Pro Extended 9.4.4, which converts a web page to an interactive PDF, to set up and work on Firefox 4.0.1?

You can not do that using Adobe Acrobat 9. Adobe never made a create PDF add-on for Firefox for use with Adobe Acrobat 9. They created a Firefox add-on for use with Acrobat X, but currently that one does not work with Firefox 4 though Adobe are working on an update.

  • Problem with Adobe Acrobat Pro Extended version 9.3.4 reading Inventor 2009

I would like to be able to generate 3D PDF files from Autodesk Inventor CAD models (e.g. .iam files) using Adobe Acrobat Pro Extended.  I am constrained to use Inventor 2009.  When I originally installed Acrobat Pro Extended, I was able to make this work after installing the IMPORT3D update at:
    http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=4073
Recently (9/5/2010), I updated Acrobat Pro Extended to version 9.3.4.  I believe that following that update, I lost the ability to read in Inventor 2009 files.  Acrobat Pro Extended now gives the error messages:
"Exception has been raised" followed by:
"Acrobat could not open 'file' because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged (for example, it was sent as an email attachment and wasn't correctly decoded).  To create an Adobe PDF document, go to the source application. Then print the document to Adobe PDF."
This is exactly what happened when I first installed Acrobat Pro extended and before I installed the IMPORT3D update mentioned above.  I tried re-installing that update but now the installer gives the error message:
"No qualifying products found to apply this update."
Note that Inventor 2009 does allow one to "Save Copy As" to PDF format, but this just creates a 2D PDF snapshot of the current model view -- same for print to pdf.
I suppose one thing to try is removing Acrobat Pro Extended and then re-installing without the 9.3.4 update, but with the IMPORT3D update -- but if that is necessary, then I won't be able to take advantage of any further updates (e.g. security updates) to Acrobat, which seems like a bad situation.
Has anyone else had this problem? Or is it just me?

I may have figured out what was causing my problem with conversion of Inventor 2009 to 3D PDF.  After playing around with a number of inventor files, I discovered that the conversion worked fine when there were no references to external files.  For example a .ipt file (part file) seemed to convert fine.  I believe the problem was that on the form one obtains with Edit->Preferences->Convert to PDF->Autodesk Inventor->Edit Settings->Import->Assembly, the check box for "use root file directory" was NOT checked.  Oddly, this is the default and I'm pretty sure I tried setting the conversion options to the default.  In any case, I now seem to be able to perform the conversion of Inventor 2009 to 3D PDF so this problem is solved I guess.

  • Secunia & Adobe Acrobat Pro Extended 9.3.1

    Hi,
According to Secunia, my updated version of Adobe Acrobat Extended Pro 9.3.1 is insecure.
I have clicked on the Download Solution button on Secunia to obtain the latest Adobe Acrobat Version. After loading the latest version, I still have the following information.
Secunia points to the following file: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 9.0\Acrobat\Acrobat.dll
And reports that my version is: 9.3.0.148
Yet, when I fire up my Adobe Acrobat Extended and then go Help | About, I see the version is 9.3.1.
When Adobe updates Acrobat, does it leave insecure files behind?  Is there anything I can do to ensure that my version of Adobe Acrobat is completely secure?  How do I get Secunia to recognize my updated and, I hope, secure version?
    Sincerely,
    Kevin

    Hi Bill,
I suspect that its latest version 9.3.1 is secure, at least for now.
My concern is that, for whatever reason, Secunia continues to think I have a prior version (9.3.0.148).
I had a similar problem with Flash.  To solve my Adobe Flash problem, I used an Adobe uninstaller to completely remove Flash and then reinstall the latest version from Adobe web site.
I can't do that with my Adobe Acrobat Pro Extended.  I need to get incremental upgrades through the upgrade process.
I have a hunch that the upgrades don't remove all the prior detritus from prior versions and that is tripping up the Secunia security.
I am hoping someone else has encountered the same issues and has found a solution.
    Sincerely,
    Kevin

  • Adobe acrobat pro extended 9 language issues

    Hi!
Is there any conflicts/obstacles that may arise using an English version of this software for documents or purposes in other languages or does it support other languages?
If not, is there any way that I can convert an English language version of Adobe Acrobat Pro extended 9 to Swedish language?
The reason I ask is that I'm considering buying a used copy of Acrobat pro extended 9, but before doing so I need to know if I would be better off buying a dedicated Swedish version of this software.
    Thanks in advance
    Anders

    Thanks AbhigyanModi!
What I would like to do with acrobat pro extended 9 is for instance to convert a two-column glossary into Excel keeping the table format. Not sure if using English version will affect the text in the Swedish translation column or not. I've used Acrobat (Swedish version) to a minor extent at work so I'm familiar with some of its benefits, such as the "Copy as table" function.
I think ibuying this software straight from retail is quite pricey for my needs and that's why I considered buying a used English version of Acrobat Pro extended. But I'm not sure it's worth buying an English version if it will limit the useability for my needs.
    Cheers!

  • Adobe Acrobat Pro Extended | Print Option | Enable Flash Object Issue

    Hi,
We are facing some problems with Adobe Acrobat Pro Extended Print Option.
We had a requirement to embed interactive Flash graphs in the PDF file, user will interact with these graphs and whatever graph he plotted, the data for it will be saved in PDF text field, so that on the next launch we can fetch the data to the flash from PDF text fields, so that user can see what changes he did last time. This works great, we are able to successfully comminicate from PDF to flash and then from Flash to PDF.
Please note that, PDF can have multiple graphs on different pages.
The issue we are facing is when we interact with the graphs and then try to print the PDF, in that case only the currently active graph or flash file (The page on which user is currently on) will be seen enabled in the print, the graphs on the other pages, which are not currently visible are seen in disabled state hence the data on it does not get printed.
We have also used the "RMA.activated = true;" command, still no success. Please refer to the screen shots below to understand the issue in more detail..
    Flash Embed Options:
In the Print Option, it looks disabled:
The required/desired output is as follows:
We want all Graphs to get printed in enabled state and with the data user had entered. Please do let me know, if there is any workaround to achive this functionality.

Which version. I think it is a minimum of AA9.2 that is needed for X64. Anyway, you should probably either open Acrobat and do the update (help menu) or download all of the updates from Adobe>downloads>updates and install them in order. The current version is AA9.3.4.

  • I purchased CS6 and had problems with the Adobe Acrobat Pro so i uninstalled and now need to reinstall but serial number wont work. How can i reinstall ONLY Adobe Acrobat Pro since its included in CS6?

I purchased Design Standard CS6 the entire package. I downloaded and installed but I was continually having problems with Adobe Acrobat Pro. I tried updating to the newest version but it only made the problems worse (acrobat was super slow and constantly not responding). So i decided to try to uninstall and then reinstall the program. Well I uninstalled, and then attempted to reinstall ONLY the adobe acrobat pro but it says my serial number (which is for design standard) will not work. Since Acrobat Pro is included in the suite, i thought this wouldnt be a problem. Is there anyway to get around this without uninstalling the entire design standard and reinstalling everything? I only need to reinstall acrobat pro.

You need to reinstall Acrobat the the Creative Suite, you cannot download it is a separate application and install it that way because it will be looking for a serial number relative to being a singly purchased application.

  • Please I want downlod the Adobe Acrobat pro XI by arabic can any one helpe me?

    Hi Amal77,
The Acrobat 11 installer is now MUI (Multiple User Interface) or multiple language installer.
When you run the setup file you can select the language as 'English Arabic' and proceed with the installation.

  • Just purchased the "Adobe Acrobat Pro" but now I cant download the software

I just paid $180.00 to purchase the "Adobe Acrobat Pro" After I provide all necessary information and set up an account, I was then instructed to download and install the software, however when I click on the software download button, it does NOT download the software. Why will it not download the software?

Assistanttolindsey the Adobe Download Assistant will download the installation files for Adobe Acrobat Professional XI.  By default they are saved to your download folder.  You can begin the installation process from there.

  • Adobe Acrobat Pro Extended: Revoke

    hi all,
I have got this copy of Adobe Acrobat Pro 9.0 Extended that I installed on computer A. One day this computer A is totally crashed and I can't even switch it on anymore, most likely the motherboard is overheated. So my boss decides to buy me a new computer B, which is of course much better than computer A. I re-installed the same copy of Acrobat Pro 9.0 on to this new computer and got the error of an invalid serial number (attached phiotos). I have rang Adobe and they told me that i need to contact my reseller to issue me another serial number. My reseller told me that the only way is to fix computer A, de-activate the license, and activate it on computer B.
The problem is computer A is totally crashed. it won't even allow me to boot into windows. and now on computer B, the 30 days trial is expired and i cannot use the PDF facility anymore, is there anyway i can do to resolve this? can someone from Adobe please help me out?
contact me if you need more information

You need to select the Activate over the phone option, call the number that appears on the screen and explain the situation to the Adobe representative.
Only they can help you out with this.

  • Adobe Acrobat Pro Extended: CSV Export of a 3D-Model doesn´t work

    Hello @ all.
I´m using the Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro Extended Tool. Now I want to export a 3D Model in a csv-file. I´ts no problem to export it in a xml-file andnopen it, but if I want to open the exported csv-file, then I see nothing -> an empty excel table :-( If I use a csv-viewer-tool then I became an error, that the tool can´t open the file.
Can anybody help me, or know somebody the solution to this problem?
Maybe have anybody the same problem?
    Thanks, Luna :-)
PS: I´m from germany, my english isn´t the best ;-) Nevertheless I hope you understand my problem!

  • Adobe Acrobat Pro extended batch watermarks trouble on 3d PDFS

    Hello there
we are very interested in buying a license of your software but we have a few reservations
I cannot get the batch watermark facility to work on a batch of 3d PDF encoded from pro engineer wildfire 2. When i apply the watermark the watermark does not appear at all or behind the object. Attached are screen dumps of the setups from pro extended and the file used maybe you can shed some light on this. This is a essential part of the use of the software and we need to protect our copyright over 1500 pdfs. we are trailing the software at this present moment and looking at buying.
    Attached are the following
3d pdf examples from the batch list
    CI6019T
    AU8001T
    AU8005T
    BM6017
    The watermark
    Eecfill7
Screen dumps of the setups (JPG)
    Adobedump
    Adobe2
The watermark is supposed to be displayed above the 3D PDF, the problem is that it either does not water at all or the watermark is below, any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated.
    Kind regards

You can not do that using Adobe Acrobat 9. Adobe never made a create PDF add-on for Firefox for use with Adobe Acrobat 9. They created a Firefox add-on for use with Acrobat X, but currently that one does not work with Firefox 4 though Adobe are working on an update.
