Where to get drivers ?!?

Hi there ...
I just installed Windows XP on my MSI K7N2 Delta ILSR.
Where should I get drivers from, and which drivers should I install ?
USB ? Sound ? AGP ?
Should I get them from Nvidia web site, or MSI, or from the CD I got with the motherboard ?

I always get my chipset drivers from MSI, but I recently tried the nVidia drivers and they worked too. I know the nVidia drivers are more recent but other than that I dont notice any difference. Either of these two drivers install:
Audio driver
Audio utilities
Ethernet driver
GART driver
Memory controller driver
SMBus driver
IDE In-the-box
Your board has an nForce2 chipset, so that's what you want drivers for. If you want Serial ATA driver that is a separate download from msi.com.tw

i just wanted to mount an .iso with WINcdemu and got an bluescreen right after the mounting (IAstoreA.sys) so i've read around and figured it out it has something to do with "RAID"?!

Most manufacturer's will, from time to time, post updated drivers. But it tends to be rare. Because that also means quite a bit on their end, such as testing, verification, etc...for every laptop model, and every new driver.
In the end, it's too costly and time consuming for them to release a new, authorized, official driver everytime one gets updated.
Use the ones from NVidia's site, they should work just fine.
As far as IAstoreA.sys, that driver is actually related to Intel's chipset/RAID driver and has nothing to do with the video card.
I would consider checking Intel's website for a new chipset/RAID driver for your notebook.

The Toshiba European driver page provides the Win XP drivers for the Qosmio E10 PQE10E series.
Maybe Im wrong but I believe that the Dynabook Qosmio E10-1KCDE series seems to be a Japanese model.
So Im not quite sure if the XP drivers from the European page will run on this notebook model. Nevertheless, you could try to install some single driver. Maybe you are a lucky man and the drivers will be compatible.

I'd done a clean reinstall of a Twist, believing that I could get updated drivers for everything on Lenovo Support, but to my surprise, there are a lot of drivers missing, touchpad, wwan…

With your auto rotate situation, I have seen some success by ensuring that the UltraNav driver,(I'm uncertain if the Lenovo specific one will provide you with a different result), Power Manager Driver, and the ThinkVantage Active Protection being up to date.
I was able to locate the Dependency Package for Windows 8 on the driver page. It may prudent to cross check your drivers again with the driver page, just to see if there is has been any updates that the System Update isn't catching. With some additionally research, I did locate this driver for the WWAN card associated with the firmware I listed. For some reason, it is listed as the s230u, which is the Twist. I will follow up with some support staff that may be able to help us with this.
I was able to locate it by searching s230u and the name of the driver in google, this may be a work around for you for the time being. Nicknick70, Thank you so much following up with me so quickly. I look forward to hearing if this assists you further!

Here are the specs for your Compaq Presario SR1907CL Desktop Computer and its A8N-LA (Nagami2L) motherboard. Based on the specs, the following drivers should do the trick;
nVidia Chipset Driver v15.49 for Windows 7 64-bit (Ethernet, SATA/IDE, SMBUS, Away Mode Drivers as well as others)
nVidia Graphics Driver v307.83 for Windows 7 64-bit
Realtek ALC883 HD Audio Driver (check "Accept", click "Next", and select download location for 2nd item down list)

Go back to Boot Camp in OSX and read the directions, then download the drivers you need.

I go to the download page to download the drivers for this 551dn. I download all windows 7, 8, 8.1, 2008, 2012, so that i can put them on my print server. I downloaded them from here..

I get the file downloaded (LJEnt-color-M551-Drv-no-installer_12297.exe), i run it, get the security warning and Run. the file extracts - then POOF, the installer is gone.
where did the files go? They aren't on the root of the C: drive, a folder/files were not created on my desktop, no files or folder created in my downloads folder.
I was never asked for a file save location.... ??? really? is this this basic stuff?
Where are the files? this $$$ printer is a brick until i get drivers!

UPDATE- I FOUND THE FILES!!
First of all, HP... i'm not impressed.
All the files for all the drivers are in a series of temp folders...
C:\Users\-myusername-\AppData\Local\Temp\3\7zS4A73

There is no change to this problem after 6 months since the last post. Put simply, and as stated in the previous posts, there is no way to scan a document and receive the image on your PC. If you are working with graphics for any length of time or want to create an image for inclusion as an image in a document or web page using this piece of equipment will not allow you to do so.
Great shame as every other function works well - it cannot be beyond the wit of HP to include a Windows application that enables you to scan an image, receive it in the software you are using at the time (e.g. Outlook, Word, Photoshop...) and use it in your work.
HP Printers several years older than this £1000+ Enterprise printer were able to do this simple job and have done so for a great many years. Just being able to use Microsoft's Fax and Scan would be start.

How do I install the nvidia 120 gt, where are the drivers?

I purchased the nvidia 120 gt from apple....There are no driver disks...and when I go online no one knows where to get the drivers...HELP ME!

Drivers are included in Mac OS X "Requires Mac OS X v10.5.6 or later".
So if it is black, the problem is not drivers.
This card does not require aux power, so it can be installed at the same time as another card, unless the original has completely failed. What display are you connecting? How are you connecting it (cables, adapters) ? What Mac are you using in year of issue, speed, number of processors, MacPro 3.1 designation, etc. ?

Where to get latest EAXUnified Redist

Anybody knows where to get the latest version ? Why do we need them ? Tomb Raider EAX wont work if we don`t installed EAXunified.So i`ve installed them and got EAX.dll version 3.
I think the latest version is v4 for my Audigy2Zs (v5 is not supported with my Audigy2Zs ,i think) ?

The redistributable comes with the game itself. There are no EAX files installed with the drivers, like what happenned with A3d, if you perhaps remember.
There are EAX Unified libraries over?at Creative's developer website, but you need to be a registered developer to access them.
Bottom line is, if your game with version 3, it means it was designed for that version and doesn't support 4.0. And Tomb Raider only supports 3.0. You will see no benefit... Maybe it will even not work with a different version.

[NOT SOLVED] Acer D250 - where to get CPU temp info

I was wondering where to get CPU temp info other than acpi and lm-sensors...
laptop: acer aspire one aod250-1613 ("d250"), intel atom n280, bios v1.22, arch up-to-date, kernel 2.6.31
problem with lm-sensors: even though it is supposed to have support for Atom ( http://www.lm-sensors.org/changeset/5773 ) via coretemp ( http://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=11161 ), it does not find any sensors. emailed lm-sensors people + sent a message to kernel dev, hoping for an answer.
problem with acpi: including all the temp files ("thermal") I found under /proc/acpi and acpi -V, it reports cpu temp unrealistically as always 26C or 27C even when laptop is very hot. Confirmed with one more D250 user here: http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=86124
tried solutions: Apart from trying to make lm-sensors work (tried modprobing all sorts of modules, then emailed their list reporting the problem: http://lists.lm-sensors.org/pipermail/l … 27432.html ), I spent a lot of time looking around in /proc/ and /sys/ for a file that would have a realistic cpu temp in it to no avail. also emailed linux-acpi email list http://www.spinics.net/lists/linux-acpi/msg26078.html but I'll probably not get an answer.
behavior in windows: I downloaded HWMonitor (does not work in wine properly) from here: http://www.cpuid.com/hwmonitor.php It shows two temperature sources: acpi (which reports, as in Linux, the temp wrongly), and "Atom" (which correctly reports the temperature). So there is some sort of sensor in this laptop that is capable and able to show the temp properly...
contact with acer: no help there.
Any ideas what to do?

I solved this [new update: I did not solve it as it turns out, see below] by downloading the coretemp.o module source file from kernel 2.6.32, putting it under a folder named Downloads, and compiling it with the command:
make -C /lib/modules/2.6.31-ARCH/build M=/home/user/Downloads modules
I then tried the module out using
sudo insmod coretemp.ko
It worked, so I moved the coretemp.ko file here:
/lib/modules/2.6.31-ARCH/updates/drivers/hwmon/coretemp.ko
The "updates/drivers" folder was already there, but I think it was created by the scripts of compat-wireless.
I then ran
sudo depmod -a
and placed the module's name in my /etc/rc.conf file
MODULES=(!snd-pcsp coretemp acpi-cpufreq !p4-clockmod ...)
If the coretemp module cannot be loaded after a reboot, take a look at compat-wireless scripts which create a /lib/modules/2.6.31-ARCH/updates/drivers/ folder --either the kernel automatically ignores modules with same name as those under ...../updates/ forlder, or it was compat-wireless scripts that did that. I don't know, try
The temperature value is now readable by
sensors
as well as through the file
/sys/class/hwmon/hwmon1/device/temp1_input
and
/sys/class/hwmon/hwmon2/device/temp1_input

it turns out that I couldn't solve this yet. funny enough, coretemp gets $ sensors to show *hdd* temperature... not the cpu. checked with hwmon utility that runs in windows.
I have no idea what to do, where to email, whom to ask... any ideas?

I think this question can be answered only by a Toshiba person. This is a simply a user to user forum and you will not meet here anybody from Toshiba.
But I will provide my own opinion.
Regarding point
1) Toshiba hasnt supported the 64bit in the past and I believe it will take several times till such 64bit OS will be supported. Who knows.
2) Dont think you will receive the 64bit Toshiba DVD. If Toshiba will decided to support the 64bit drivers then you have to purchase the Vista 64bit OS and then you could be able to use the Toshiba drivers from the website.
3) As I said, if you wan to use the 64bit OS you have to purchase it.

Well... Now my question... Where to get this base64 ticket from? The problem is, I'm NOT using WebDynpro, it's a custom application running on client side. Now how to get the needed information? (PSE?)

Where are printer drivers stored in OS 10.8?

I am trying to set up a Epson Stylus Photo R3000 as a new printer on OS 10.8. The printer setup locates the printer and automatically selects Epson Stylus R3000 with the notation "The selected printer software is available from Apple. Click Add to download and add this printer." However, clicking on Add leads eventually to an error message: "Can't install the software for the EPSON Epson Stylus Photo R3000 because it is not currently available fromthe Software Update server." This result blocks me from setting up the printer.
I know the driver is part of the Epson driver software package that is installed with OS 10.8. I would like to select it manually. My question is where are printer drivers stored? How do I select a driver?

While a bit of a stretch, you can download the entire Epson printer package from Apple and install it. This will include all drivers for all Epson devices as opposed to the one just for your system. The package is 1GB in size, but will include everything supported.

I would just explain that this just started happening, that nothing has changed on the phone, that it is an original iPhone and I wondered if they are implementing a change in coverage with their Edge network in my area.
