Where to get Jdeveloper TP3(missing SOAP project option in TP4)

where to get TP3 as it's not found under oracle jdeveloper archive, as in jdeveloper Technology preview 4(TP4), no SOAP project option is present, neither an option to configure SOAP project.Or how to enable SOAP options in TP4.

I am not a novice programmer, but I am new to Java and web services and I need to get up to speed very quickly on JDeveloper, XML, SOAP, WSDL, UDDI, etc. Nothing I have read so far is making any sense. Thanks! I made it through the JDeveloper Tutorial. I see a tutorial on the list specifically for Web Service from WSDL, so that's next. Hopefully, as I study the pieces, it will become easier to see how they all fit together.

Anyway, you should be able to find them on eBay, they are quite old (2002-2003), so you should be able to get it for little money.

keep getting a java message about not being able to write to my C: drive because of lack of space!!
investigation shows that i have somehow mis-configured my jdeveloper 10G because i have a recursive output structure of
C:\JDeveloper\jdev\mywork\jlwi\Project\classes\Project\classes\Project\classes\Project\classes\Project\classes\Project\classes\Project\classes\Project\classes\Project\classes\Project\classes\Project\classes\Project\classes\Project\classes\Project\classes\Project\classes\Project\classes
The structure goes on and on it repeats itself about as many times as i have complied / deployed my app
I haven't the foggiest idea of where to look

Is this happening with every new project you create or only with the one you already have?
If it happens with every project, you might want to just try installing JDev in a new directory and see if this solves the problem.
If it is just with one project try to see what is in the project settings box.

JDev11g TP4 SOA Project Option missing

i haven't found any SOA project option in jdeveloper 11g preview 4 edition, neither BPEL file open in design view in it.

this option has been removed for TP4 for general testing. Customers that have a support contract can get a how-to for enabling this option from customer support. So the suggestion is to stay on TP3 for the SOA part

Error in Jdeveloper while running a project on weblogic server.

have you checked that the folder D:\OracleJeveloper\Middleware\jdk160_14_R27.6.5-32 contains the jre?

After upgrading iTunes, I get the error, missing msvcr80.dll, How do I resolve this issue?

I am using Vista 32 bit on an older dell laptop and have been using iTunes for a long time, downloading songs, syncing with my iPhone, and etc, with no problems. After upgrading to the newest version of iTunes 11, I received an error message of "missing MSVCR80.dll, please reinstall the software" when trying to start the iTunes application. I removed the iTunes software and associated apps from my laptop and reinstalled the iTunes software. While the software was installing it indicated that I did not have permission to install the application. Although I started the installation with the option of "Run as Admistrator". Since I could not reinstall the iTunes software, I choose a restore point where my iTunes was working before, and changed to that point. I am still getting "MSVCR80.dll missing". Does anyone know how I can restore the missing MSVCR80.dll? I have found articles on the web of how to do this, but none seem to work.

Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.

getting error message "cannot prepare project for publishing (-50)" and, subsequently, it won't publish the bloody thing. I have publsihed many videos previous to this one so I have no idea waht is going on.

I fixed the problem.. but it was very, very strange. I had a very long section for credits and set the line spacing to 1.0.. for some reason this caused it. I removed it, and it worked fine. I put it back, and I couldn't preview or play the video.
I don't know why that could cause that big of a problem, but it did..

How to get JDeveloper to show package names?

Newbie question. I have Java classes organized in different packages, but in the left panel where the classes are shown, the package names are not shown to display which class belongs in which package. Is there an option I can set to get JDeveloper to show the package names? I'm using 9.0.3. Thanks.

Don't know where to start looking in the documentation..
I need to know where I can add GL Cost Codes to a particular Project number for our testing of i-Expenses.

Well, not sure what you mean by "cost codes". Normally when I see that wording I think of work breakdowns within a project. I don't think of cost codes as being general ledger numbers. But maybe you are meaning to say general ledger number? I see "Project Number" though, which makes me think you are talking about project accounting. You set up your projects in project accounting and create what Oracle calls Tasks (I like to them of them as cost codes) that you can assign to your projects. So this would all be in Project Accounting. You may want to download the various user guides for Oracle Projects to start learning about this application. You must be running project accounting, correct? So maybe you need to find the person in your company who knows this application and start to get educated on it. There is a separate forum for Projects where this may be a better place to ask this question. You may need to provide more detail on what you are trying to do if you are not involved with project accounting.

I have done some jDev 10g tutorials for jsp, j2ee, struts. When i started to write some code on my one many problems appeared. So i am interested, where to get info, documentation or how to work with jdev 10g.
To get questions like :
-What is diferent between struts action and action data?
-How to develop with modules? If i'd like to have login, forum, calendar modules and use them in difrent application.
- ...what can be done with jdev 10g an also how
Any links or book titles would be fine or suggestions how to learn developing j2ee applications with jdev 10g.
By the way I am studen who'd like to learn as much as possible to be a good developer for j2ee applications.

Can't get rid of missing file!

When I load the project, I get the FILE MISSING window. The file is simply ",
with no name. I can't find it.
I have 14 sequences to encode in Compressor. Needs to happen overnight. Every time one sequence is done, and it's going to the next, the FCP window shows again with "missing file". I have tried clicking "ignore", but it doesn't seem to help.
How do I deal with this?

please don't do anything suggested in this post. none of this has any chance of helping and will potentially hurt as the offending file will be copied from the external drive to your desktop and might become undeletable there too.
nerowolfe, please read the thread. the file in question in Trash on an external drive. it can't be deleted because of strange symbols in its name. the unix rm has been tried already and didn't work because of those characters.

A good place to start is with the Flex in a Week online course that you can do at your own pace. You can download the Day Project Files and get PDFs of all the transcripts for the videos and all the starter and solution files.
There is also more infomation here as well: http://www.adobe.com/devnet/flex.html
It is not in a PDF format but you can print it out or just work at your own pace online to get started with Flex.
