I am confusing, Please let me know where i can download above RPMSNice idea. Applies for me as well.
Anyway, if you'd like to use the Oracle Support for the Linux, I would not mix the rpm distributions.
Another note about the versions, if they are newer in the distribution, then use them. Works for me quite well.

I have a jar that runs in Linux32, with a JDK that includes Oracle JDK.
I then tried it in Windows32. I don't have a Windows32 JDK, so I got error:
java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: oracle/javatools/util/CommandParser
When can I get Oracle libraries that include CommandParser, and some other Oracle classes? I think If I install JDev for Windows32, it will bring the libraries. But don't know what path I should add to classpath.
Can anyone please advise? Thanks! Thanks, Frank!
You can do the same using JDeveloper: - Open project properties
- Select Libraries node
- press New
- type class into Search Field>
JDeveloper has so many useful features, so I could not observe all of them and I have missed this one. It is great that this forum is supported by highly experienced Oracle employees, who are familiar with the tools and frameworks in details. I started wathcing the forum thoroughly quite recently and I am amazed of how many useful things I have learned for a short period of time thanks to the forum.
Thank you again. -

Where can I get Oracle 8i 8.1.5 for Linux (RH 6.0) On CD?
I'm stuck in a 28.8 baud neighborhood. Most of my connections
are 14.4 but at night - sometimes - I can get 28.8. There is no
Cable Modem support (Not available), not DSL (maybe by Q1 2999),
and ISDN is foolishly priced ($1800.00 to start and $300.00 per
month.) I have a smalll 100/T Base network with Win95, WinNT
4.0 (Server and Client) and Red Hat 6.0 Linux. I'd really like
to get Oracle 8i 8.1.5 Server for the Linux box and access it
via my NT Client. But, as I mentioned above, downloading is
very impracticle. It would take +100 hours and we have
power/phone outages almost every day. Where can I get this
stuff on a CD?
Thanks

nullOn the oracle store (oraclestore.oracle.com->database->media)
you can order a trial copy for $40 ($39.95). Allow me to ask you
where do you live? I wouldn't like to move into your
neighbourhood.

Mandrake Linux 8.0 - can't get Oracle Universal Installer to run
Hi all.
I'm having trouble getting Oracle's Universal Installer to run.
I'm trying to become DBA certified, so I went and purchased
(among
other materials) a book titled "Oracle8i for LINUX Starter Kit",
authored by Steve Bobrowski, published by Oracle Press / Osborne
McGraw-Hill, ISBN 0-07-212442-3.
The book includes a CD-ROM with Oracle8i Enterprise Edition,
Release 2, version 8.1.6 for LINUX.
I'm running an Intel P-III 500 MHz with 512MB RAM, 30GB hard disk
exclusively configured for Linux (no other O/S on it) and Oracle
(so LOTS of hard disk space is available), Matrox Millennium G400
video card (32MB).
My hardware exceeds all requirements listed in aforementioned
book, and also in Oracle's own documentation (from their web
site).
I'm running Mandrake's Linux 8.0, PowerPack Edition, with:
kernel = 2.4.3
XFree 4.0.3 (and I've also tried 3.3.6, with identical results
to those listed below)
glibc 2.2.2
I've followed the book's instructions to the letter, and set up
the environment variables, oracle user, and subdirectories as
required.
So far, so good.
OK. Now, here's where the problem appears:
I log in as the oracle user, and try to start the Oracle
Universal Installer (following the instructions in the book)
as follows:
cd /mnt/cdrom
./runInstaller
The computer tries to do some stuff, then spews the information
listed at the bottom of this posting to the screen. I press
<ENTER> after "OK" and get dumped back to the bash prompt.
That's it. I can't go any further. No Oracle Universal
Installer.
By the way, I've also downloaded Oracle8i Enterprise Edition
Release 3, version 8.1.7 from Oracle's website, and tried to
install that, too. Exactly same results.
The nice folks at Oracle have politely told me to get lost,
and not bug them for unpaid support.
I'd really like to get this stuff up and running, so I can
start studying and practicing for DBA, but I need help 'cause
this problem is beyond me.
So... can anyone help??
Thanks in advance.

All the packages required by Oracle 10g can be found on the OEL4 installation Disks.
For example,
If you are using OEL4 installation CDs, you can find the gnome-libs package at /Enterprise/RPMS/gnome-libs-1.4.1.2.90-44.2.i386.rpm.
BTW, you can also use "up2date --install <packagename>" if you can access ULN.

Where to download openmotif for oracle enterprise linux?
Hello,
I am in the process of installing OEM Grid 10204 on Linux 2.6.18-128.el5 on Oracle Enterprise Linux. I am checking the packages required for installation and I need openmotif21-2.1.30-11. Where can I download openmotif21-2.1.30-11 and its dependencies from Oracle website? Can I download this package from another non-oracle website? Thank you in advance. If you have Oracle Enterprise Linux media CD you can mount it, find the RPMs directory and install
rpm -Uvh openmotif21-2.1.30-9.RHEL3.6.i386.rpm
or you can download the RPM for RHEL from internet, that should works too. -
