Where to go to purchase/download Japanense fonts?

I'm trying to find place to purchase/download Japanese font pack. hen I run search on the Adobe site using "Japanese font Acrobat download," the results all seem to refer to Reader. I need to embed fonts in document I'm re-printing to a .pdf document, so I don't know/think that Reader search results apply.

Further information.
The patent office "job options file" can be accessed here (under getting started, pdf creation):  http://www.uspto.gov/patents/process/file/efs/guidance/index.jsp.  It is the file that provides the settings that are supposed to allow you to convert any document -- text or existing pdf -- to correct format for upload to the PTO electronic filing system by re-printing to a (another) pdf file.  If you open it, you will be able to see what the settings give you.
The document properties I provided above were for the original source file from the client.
When you select Adobe PDF as the printer (to print to a (new) pdf file) and then click properties (e.g., to set the pdf print parameters by selecting the US PTO-provided settings via the default settings drop-down box), you also get a tab for Adobe PDF Settings.  Under that tab, there is a checkbox for Rely on System Fonts only.  I have tried printing to pdf file with that box checked and with it unchecked, to see if that made any difference.  (Actually, just a 40-page subset of the 170-page file to avoid exceeding the 25MB upload limit.)
When I check document properies, I get the same font information for both:
Courier-Bold (Embedded Subset)
Type1
Encoding:  Custom
MSGothic-90ms-RKSJ-H (Embedded Subset)

Encoding:  Identity-H
MSPGothic-90ms-RKSJ-H (Embedded Subset)

When I try to upload, I get the same error message for both files:

I DON'T GET IT!!!!!  If the document properties indicate that a subset is embedded (which I understand is done to conserve file size if all characters in a font set are not used), then why does the PTO site tell me it's not????
