Where to go to see Lead Time settings? Calendar days vs working days

Hi everybody,
II'm trying to find the screen where details regarding Lead Time settings are shown. I'm looking specifically for information on the type of days we're using to identify Processing LT's. I'm not certain whether we're using calendar days or working days.
I'm sure there is a simple way of finding this information out, but just don't know where to look/change the setting.
Thanks,
BG

This is NOT a setting that you can view.
Oracle always behaves like this.
Best way to verify this is to create an item with PreLt=5, Processing LT=7 and Post-processing lt=5.
Then create a sales order with a due date of say 9/21. Make sure 9/1 to 9/21 is regular 5 days week.
Assuming no holidays, it will mean that you need material on the dock on 9/15 (5 days of PPLT = 7 calendar days.)
So when MRP/ASCP creates a Req/PO, the promised date will be 9/15.
Also, the Days from today will point to 9/1 - which includes 7 days of processing + 7 days of preprocessing (5 working days)
Hope this answers your quesiton.

  • Calculating the planned delivery time in calendar days or working days

    Hi,
It seems that there is a way to calculate the planned delivery time in calendar days instead of working days.
When I use the "Planned delivery time calculation" (WPDTC), in Evaluation Options, I got the message :
"Note that follow-on applications are currently interpreting the planned delivery time as calendar days.
If they should be interpreting the planned delivery time as working days, you need to modify these applications. If the planned delivery time should be calculated in working days, there needs to be a factory calendar in Customizing with the calendar ID Country of vendor."
When MRP create a PR -with MDBT, MD03 or MD01- I want my Planned delivery time to be in working days.
I can't manage to make that "If the planned delivery time should be calculated in working days, there needs to be a factory calendar in Customizing with the calendar ID Country of vendor."
    I would appreciate your help.
    Thanks
    PYR

    Hi,
I understand that it makes sense that vendors calendar has to be different (compared to my plant).
But, I still don't understand why in the SAP help, they say "If the planned delivery time should be calculated in working days, there needs to be a factory calendar in Customizing with the calendar ID Country of vendor."
It seems that planned delivery time may follow a calendar.
    Thanks,

Please help. This is very important.
    Thanks,
    Laura

    Hi Laura,
The RLT can be set in the Masters Materials.MMR and Also in the Documnet Type Configuration.
But as per SAP standard Procedure the Prority will be the document type.
That means the RLT given in the Order document will overseed the RLT given in the MMR.
Go to material master and select MRP3 view. There see what is maintained for "Strategy group". Now go to OVZG, select this Requirement Class and tick the field "Rq" against this.
Now go to OVZH, select your Requirement Type and ensure that the above Requirement Class is assigned to your Requirement Type.
Now create a sale order and check in MD04.
    Hope ethis helps u..

  • Lead time issue

    Dear Sap Gurus,
Is there is any report or in table  to check all the transportation Lead time settings  setting for particular plant  for all customers ? Because i need to upload several new Lead Time  due to the updation in transportation
I want  compare the differences in system and the new Lead time whih is going to be updated.
    Thanks
    Guna

    Hi,
Try joining VBAK, VBAP, LIKP and LIPS tables.
take sales order number, confirmed quantity and document date from VBAK and VBAP tables and populate accordingly Actual PGI date and planned PGI date from LIKP and LIPS table. You can also take BKPF and BSEG if required. From this you will be able to find the time required between punching the sales order for confimed quantity and delivery to the customer.
    Thanks

  • After port forward, airport utility can no longer see my time capsule

I tried to forward public port 1025 to private port 80 on a raspberry pi using  airport utility. But after I did that,  the airport utility can no longer see my time capsule. Wifi still works correctly. Are there any conflicts about port 1025? How to fix that other than resetting the time capsule?
    Thanks,
    Michael

It doesn't sound like a port that is used.
From the standard google search.. nope.
    Reboot the whole network..
No luck tell me what OS version you are running the utility on and what model and firmware TC???
Note with Yosemite, anything can and will happen.

  • Sales order is not taking shipping transit lead time into consideration

    Hi,
    We have following scenario -
    1. Sales order is created in AT organization.
    2. There is no onhand in any of the organizations including AT.
    3. The scheduled ship date for sales order comes as order creation date + item lead time = 15-Sep-2011.
    3. PO for sufficient quantity is available at UK org with need-by date as 01-Jun-2011.
    5. Post processing item lead time for this item is 1 day.
    4. intransit shipment is setup between UK and AT.
    5. Shipment Transit lead times are also set up at 3 days between locations of UK and AT.
    6. ASCP plan is run.
    7. Sales Order is unscheduled and rescheduled via API MSC_ATP_PUB, which takes the ATP details from UK (based on the sourcing rules). The sheduled ship date comes as 02-Jun-2011 (PO need-by date + 1 day of post processing).
    8. Expectation is that API should also take transit lead time into consideration while calculating the ATP dates and hence the Expectation is that scheduled ship date should come as 05-Jun-2011 (PO need-by date + Transit lead time + 1 day of post processing).
    Please let me know
    a. if this is standard functionality of oracle or not.
    b. if this is standard functionality then what setups are missing required for the same to be achieved.
UAT is held up for this issue. Please help urgently.
    Regards.

Oracle is supposed to take the in-transit time into consideration.
Are you running a constrained plan or an unconstrained one?
Make sure you defined the inter-org network as described in http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/A60725_05/html/comnls/us/inv/shipne01.htm.
or go to Inventory > Setup > Organization > Inter-Location Transit Times and enter it there.

  • Lead Time recalculation/update

    Hi,
The requirement in my project is the following:
I have a lead time for one material of 10 days. After two months I have recieved 2 PO's, one with 14 days and other with 12 days. The new lead time should be 13 days.
There is any way to calculate this and update the material master?
    Thanks in advance,
    Guiza

    Guilherme,
WPDTC is the TCode that you run to calculate the planned delivery time.  This transaction is available as of version 4.7.  Currently we are upgrading from 4.7 to ECC 6.0 and it still exists in 6.0.  There is a good description at this link in the SAP Help Library.
    [http://help.sap.com/saphelp_47x200/helpdata/EN/f3/41b53c4d36265ce10000000a114084/frameset.htm|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_47x200/helpdata/EN/f3/41b53c4d36265ce10000000a114084/frameset.htm]
This program gives you a report of what the planned delivery times are in the info record, material master, vendor, and the calculated PDT based on documents and actual deliveries in the system.  You select the items you wish to change and click the Change Planned Delivery Time button.  You get a pop-up to verify you want to change the values.  Basically, this is a mass change tool for planned delivery time similar to physical inventory transaction MIBC - Set Cycle-Counting Indicator that calculates and changes the material master indicators.
    Hope this helps,
    Paul

  • Lead time setting

    hi there,
as i know i able to set all the lead time in item master setup in day as calculation.
lets say, if the item is raw material, and i will be able to receive the item two hours  later after i send out the purchase order, so how am I going to set the lead time in the item master?

    Hi Terry Lee,
You can enter 1 day in lead time.
As it is only used in MRP wizard to produce recommanded Purchase Order and Production order.
In case the Item is not in stock, MRP wizard will recommand to prepare Purchase Order OR Production Order depending upon Procurement Method defined in Planning Data tab in Item master for that item.

  • Time Dimension Working Days

Hi i have a calendar table
Has Year , Month, Week, Date and a flag for a working day or not..
Is there anyway i can use this working day flag in my Time Dimension Hierarchy so that under Date i can have another drill Working Days ...
(Non working day is where flag = 'Y')
Year - Month - Week - Day - Working Day
    or Even
Year - Month - Week - Working Day
    Cheers
    Bibi

Year - Month - Week - Working Day
You could acheive this by putting a filter on your logical table source to exclude non-working days. Or maybe just remove the non working days from the source table
The trouble with trying to put an extra level in beneath Day is that your primary key, I.e. your lowest level for the date dimension in this case is Day. Working Days won't roll up into Days as they are at the same level.

  • Function Module for Date/ Time difference in Working Days

    Hi all,
Are there any function modules which will calculate the difference between a date AND time, but in working days?
I can use the FIMA_DAYS_BETWEEN_TWO_DATES_2 FM for the dates, but I need to include times in this as well.
This is for situations where the 'starting date' is a non-working day, and the 'end date' is a working day.  In this situation I need to take all the hours and minutes into account, which happened on the working day.  To give an example -
Start date:  04.07.2010 (Sunday - Non working day)
    Start time:  21:12:36
End date:  05.07.2010 (Monday - Working day)
    End time:  04:47:24
I realise there is a Time option in this function module, but when I test it, it doesn't seem to be returning the desired results (returns 0 for days and time).  I am using '5' as the I_STGMETH and 'GB' as the I_SKALID.
I need a calcuation which will return the time, post midnight on the working day - in this example, 4 hours, 47 minutes (seconds are optional!).
Can anyone help? - can I still use FIMA_DAYS_BETWEEN_TWO_DATES_2 but with different parameters?
    Thanks

    Hi,
Thanks but this FM does not seem to account for working days.
    For example, if I use:
    DATE1                           04.07.2010  (non working day)
    TIME1                           04:00:00
    DATE2                           05.07.2010   (working day)
    TIME2                           21:00:00
It will give the following results -
    DATEDIFF                                                      1
    TIMEDIFF                                                     17
    EARLIEST                        1
I don't want to account for the non-working day so the result I actually want would be to calculate from midnight on 05.07 to 21:00 on 05.07 which should be 21 hours.
I suspect I probably need to include the STGMETH and the factory calendar somewhere in the FM?
Does such a FM exist, or could anyone help me with some ABAP for this?
    thanks
    Mischa

  • Transit Time in Calendar Days?

    Hello,
For quite a long time, I thought in transportation and delivery scheduling the TRANSIT TIME is measured in Calendar Days, which means weekends and public holidays are also included. For example, if the delivery date is 2007-12-31, and transit time is 8 days, the system will calculate Loading Date as 2007-12-31 minus 8, which is 2007-12-23.
But a few days ago, I found my understanding is not correct. It seems the TRANSIT TIME is also measured in work days, in the route factory calendar (not the shipping point factory calendar). In this case, the loading date in above example will be calculated as 2007-12-19, for a typical calendar.
    Can someone confirmed this?
    Regards, Ke

    Yes that's right Ke.
The calendar you maintain, if has a weekly off or for that matter country specific holidays these days will be considered as non working days in SAP. however if you want to change this you can define your own calendar having 365 days working.
    Regards
    Ranjeet
