Where to install fonts for boris in FCP 7?

I have a folder with a particular font. I would like to load the font so I can use it in Boris, FCP7 Where do I put the fonts?

Double click the font's icon. FontBook will open and present you with an install button.
Don't click it!!
Go to FontBook's Preferences and decide if you want it to be installed for all users (Computer) or your user folder
When you have made that choice, click the install font button.

Installing font for correcti viewing

hey everyone,
So having a little bit of a problem. I have designed a
website in two languages, english and chinese. The problem is that
the font I have used for the Chinese version is not a font that is
already installed on standard computers (especially computers in
the west). Is there anyway to embed code in either css style sheets
or in each and every webpage that uses the font so that the font is
either installed when the website is viewed or at least the website
can be temporarily viewed with the correct font? As I am a
financial analyst who is designing the website for our chinese rep
office, would appreciate if sample code is provided and details of
where in the body (or css style sheet) it would go.

The short answer is No. Even if you could embed the font,
Asian fonts
require a massive download. A typical Japanese font, which
also uses
Chinese characters, is more than 8MB.
You need to find out from your Chinese representative office
which fonts
are typically installed in a Chinese operating system, and
use those in
your CSS. A simple temporary measure is to define your fonts
as
sans-serif (and nothing else).

Hi, I have a nice SE30 with System 7.1
I wanted to install some more fonts, and was wondering whether I can download any on the Internet?
(I download on Intel iMac, onto Floppy, then into my SE30)

Where to Install ODI for ERPI

I have the following on 11.1.2:
Box1: Foundation, Planning
Box2: ERPI
I want to load data from the GL into Planning using ERPI. My question is where do I install ODI ? On Box3, the ERPI box? or Box 1, the Planning box?
Also can I use an ODI Server which has been setup on another box?

As long as the essbase client is installed on the server here you are trying to access Essbase from then that is all that is required. Regardless of where the main ODI install is located you could always have an ODI agent installed on the Essbase server and just make sure that all ODI jobs/scenarios interacting directly with Essbase execute via that agent.

Where to find fonts for Photoshop?

I've found websites that let you add brushes to Photoshop. Can the same be done for fonts (besides purchasing thru Adobe)? If so can you recommend some? The ones I have found look fishy and don’t want to download a virus.

How to add newly installed fonts for titles?

I'm having a problem. I recently installed a few new fonts into my Mac's font library. It seems that Adobe does not pick up on these downloads. Is there a way that I can transfer these unique fonts into my Adobe Premiere Pro CC program?

You cannot 'transfer' fonts to Premiere, they must reside in the appropriate folder on the Mac.
The fonts need to be True Type.

Adding Fonts for use in FCP

I was wondering how to add fonts to Final Cut Pro. I found one that seems to go in the "Font Book" folder of Tiger, but can't see it in FCP. Any suggestions?

Hi David, you mention that not all fonts work in FCP. Are the ones that work/don't work documented anywhere? Do you happen to know whether Helvetica Neue is one that will not work? I have a client who requires that font but it comes up looking italicized in FCP even though the control window says Plain.
The font shows up okay in other applications. I was worried that this FCP file might have been corrupted but the font behaves the same way even in a new file, and even on another computer.
I have a Genius Bar appt this coming Sunday but maybe you can save me a trip. Thanks!

Where to install templates for Pages or even Keynote?

Just wondering what do you do with the templates that one downloads for either Pages or Keynote?

When you do a Save As Template, Pages automatically stores the template in the Pages package, away from the prying fingers of most users. You access it from the Template Chooser, under My Templates.
The ones you download from other sources can be put anywhere you want -- in your Pages folder, in your Apps folder, on your desktop, wherever. Or you can load it in Pages, do a Save As Template, let Pages file it for you, then delete the one you downloaded.

Where do I install fonts in photoshop cc or can I?

I have a windows 7 system and I installed the fonts to \Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CC\Required\PDFL\Resource\Fonts but when I go back into Photoshop, they are not there. Can anyone help me out please?

I would like to see my page as the public does while I am developing but need the fonts in photoshop to translate the designers work. I used to just drop the fonts into C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Fonts but that folder no longer exists. Where to install agents?

I have following architecture:
- Server 1 - ODI installed with option Server
- Client 1 - ODI installed with option Client
- Client 2 - ODI installed with option Client
- Server 2 - Oracle DB installed - ODI Repositories created
- Server 3 - Oracle DB - source system
- Server 4 - MS SQL Server - source system
- Server 5 - Oracle DB installed - target system
I not sure where to install agents for this architecture:
- on Server 1?
or
- on Servers 3 or 4 (source systems)
or
- on Server 5 (target system)
What solution will be the best one in this case?

It is best to install the agent as close to the target as possible. So, in your case it will be on Server 5.
Moreover, since you have only one target, then you have the advantage that you can install only one agent and it works.
Just keep in mind, that while installing the agent on the Server 5,
Server2, server3 and server4 should be visible to Server 5.
To explain more the above statement,
We have Filesystems FS1, FS2 on which the source files are located.
And the agent is located on ORADB1 which is the target Oracle DB. So, the filesystems FS1 and FS2 are visible to the system on which ORADB1 is installed and hence the agent on ORADB1 can also see the filesystems and hence access the files for processing.

Installing font indesing cs6

Hi
i need to install fonts for using on a indesing document, i recevived the fonts, but indesing doesn't recognize them and I have fontexplorer doesn't recognize them too.
I have tried to copy the fonts in the library folder of the systam (mac) and in the fonts folder of indesing, but when opening the document, it says the fonts are missing.Indesign cs6.
I don't know why the files show zero bytes
any idea?

Well, looking at the file dates in the screenshot, it's been more than ten years since these files were created. Reassembling resource and data fork is doable, but it's been ten years since I knew how.
fireblade, if you have access to the source Mac then make sure that the files aren't already zero K there. In ye olden days the secret was to avoid zipping and only use Stuffit, but unless the source Mac is running 10.3 or whatever, then I doubt that this trick will help you.
I see a reference to "afm" in that screenshot. I recall that as a dead giveaway that these files were originally compiled on Windows. Did Mac T1 fonts have the separate afm and pfm files as they did on Windows? Once again, this is all too far in the past for me to have clear memories.

I am having real trouble finding out where to buy fonts for adobe reader. I can find them in the american store but not in the UK one. Can anyone help with a link perhaps.
