Where to maintain Attribute of the results record (Valid, Invalid,....)
< The true value is less or equal to; valid result

my requrement is when i record the result system shows <= value is less or equal to in specification (e.g. <= 5.0%), but client requirement is only "< value is less" (e.g. < 5.0%)to be display.
Please help.

Hi then based on the no of decimal places you can define the limit like for decimal places 3 your upper limit will be 4.999
And if it is lower limit the it is 5.001

What is the process of cancel the result recording in stage of INSP RREC SPQR lot statuse in SAP QM.

Hi,
Just go to QE12..Result Recording changes for the inspection point. Enter the inspection lot, operation number and the sample number.
The next screen will show the results. Click on the option "Put to Process" The status will change from 5 "Processing completed" to 2 "Inprocess". Then remove the result for that characteristic and save it. Automatically your result recording will be reversed.

I have a problem Please help me out or suggest me is it possible to do-
Result Recording is done and saved for a particular lot and result is accepted and i did UD for that and accepted as well as i posted to un-restricted stock with Acceptance and saved.
Now my client want to chance the result and reject it and post it to blocked stock again do UD.
This is our normal requirement here.

Hi,
You have to explain your client the process and its pros and cons, once you give UD and post the stock then how will that be canceled. Keeping apart SAP, in actual domain practice also when you accept the lot you can't reject it on same challan, you have to so separate process.
Here best way is to assign 08 Insp type to that material and create the lot using 322 movement type (MB1B) and again reinspect and post it to block and send back to vendor. This is only if you need to record results again, otherwise you can directly post from unrestricted to Block stock using movement type 344 i.e. from unrestricted to block then purchase person will send it back to Vendor. You can raise notification to keep record of this movement.

Lock in the results recording in QE51

Hi,I use a BAPI to do results recording in QE51,but when someone inside the characteristic,results recording does not happen, and there is no error message appears.What should I do to deal with the problem? Should I use 'lock object' method? I know nothing about 'lock', would you please tell me the method in detail?
For example,the inspection lot number is: 10000006313, the operation number is:0080 and the inspection characteristic number is:0010, I am inside this characteristic,but I want to do results recording using a BAPI.Results recording doesn't happan,and there is no error message appears.How can I deal with the problems.Many thanks!

After Results Recording - Valid Samples = 2, Defects are doubled

I carried out results recording - there were 13 characteristics and 7 of them failed. In the Record Usage Decision screen 14 Defects are shown (instead of 7) and under the Characteristics tab, it shows 2 valid samples for each characteristics.
The result is that these increased defects are causing some confusion and 2 duplicate notifications are being created when the usage decision is made and the lot is saved. Can anyone help explain why this is happening, and how I can make it stop doubling?

Note: The defect record is generated as a result of a valuation rule. This rule determines whether a defect record is to be created and if so, which code is to be used for the record. Since the valuation rules are stored as function modules in Customizing, you can adapt the way defect records are generated and their contents without having to make a program change.
Example: If you record results for samples, inspection points, etc., the system creates a defect record with the assignment inspection lot/operation/inspection characteristic, each time an inspection characteristic is refected. In addition, the standard system creates an additional defect record for the inspection lot/operation/sample (or inspection point, physical sample, equipment). This is, however, not always advisable. You can use the SapNet - R/3 Frontend note 107223/1998 to ensure that this additional defect record is not created. You achieve this by storing your own valuation module (or by changing an existing one) in Customizing.
I hope the above explains why you got 14 defect records for 7 rejections.

TAXINN SD For Excise Duty where to maintain TAX CODE in condition record?

is Tax code necessary for excise determination in TAXINN in SD Scenario? While maintaining condition record ( JEXP) for Excise access sequence JEXC doesnu2019t has Tax Code field Whereas for Sale Tax determination ( JCST/JLST) access sequence JLST /CST which has Tax code field . (In TAXINN we create Dummy tax code (blank))
is it true whatever I have written ? If yes then what is use of tax code where it triggers in FI Posting? Why we use only for Sale Tax not for Excise duty?

As per my knowledge, Excise is not Tax its a Duty....
Excise gets added to your base price and the tax is calculated on the whole amount and not only the basic price.
Say if u r manufacturing a material and u r under excise regulations, then without paying excise duty you can't move the goods out of your premises, Here even before you sell the material to a customer the excise duty is paid from you. But when u will be selling the material to a customer, the customer is charged the excise duty which gets added to the net value and then the sales tax is calculated.
If u see a sale order condition tab page, there are two fields
1. Net Value 2. Tax
Net value is the value which includes the excise duty and the tax is only the CST/LST/VAT.

Result recorded values not appearing in printing the Inspection lot

Using QC21 i am printing the Inspection lot but the Result recorded values are not appearing in printing the Inspection lot .
while creating the certifacte profile i had maintained the MIC for which i had saved as Summary for recording . if i change this to Orginal value it says that this doesnt exist in the Inspection plan .
can somebody help me on this .

1.Make sure that you are using same MIC in Task list & certificate.
2.make sure that you have done RR & taken UD.
3.make sure that MIC is reference MIC.
4.Make sure that profile is attached to material

What is the setting- Pop up window 'Valuation' appears in Results Recording

Hi,
When i am doing Results recording in qa32, after processing all characteristics the status of all characteristics appears '5' but while saving it gives a pop-up window named 'valuation' where under 'valuate inspection point' sub screen field 'valuation' with entry 'Accept' in grey mode appears. Also a tab named 'valuation' appears on the same pop-up window with pencil symbol through with UD can be made in RR only.
What is the setting because of which this pop up window comes while saving the results recording.

I am using insp. point 200 which have default valuse in valuation tab. In functional module tab no FM are attached.
What are the setting required tobe changed in i want to use Insp. Point and do not want the Pop up window of Valuation.
In some other cases i am using point and pop up doesn't come.

Block the authorization in QM results recording

Hi All...
I am a QM consultant ...Have some problem reg authorization...
we have 2 level of authorization in QM module.
Where 1st level is only allowed to record the results, they should not be allowed reopen the closed results and edit the result. This we tried to do by using the result record status (Tcode for results recording QE01). but not able to restrict the users. the thing is when user enter the result and after doing the valuaiton & closing the status becomes - 5. after that the user should not be allowed to reopen means status - 2. How to do it???
Please share some inputs....

Hello Srinivas,
For the inspector to valuate the result he needs authorization of value 3 for QESTATNEW, for closing he needs value 5 for QESTATNEW and for putting in process he needs value 2 for QESTATNEW.
Similarly, the initial status should be 1, 2, 3, 5 & 6 for successfully completing the operation.
Say, if the he does not have 3 for QESTATNEW then the valuate button (balance) will be disabled so he wont be able to change the status of the characteristic to 3.
If he does not have 5 for QESTATNEW then the close button (closed lock) will be disabled so he wont be able to change the status to 5.
If he does not have 2 for QESTATNEW then the put in process button (open lock) will be disabled so he wont be able to change status of the characteristic back to 2.
I hope I have cleared your doubt.

Cancellation of UD and re recording the results before stock posting

Hello Friends,
I am working with Handling unit functionality.
Based on the goods receipt done against the production order system generated the inspection lot. I have done the result recording and then I did the usage decision and saved. I have not yet done the stock posting.
Now the requirement is I want to change my results in result recording. System is not allowing me to change the results as the message is coming Usage decision is done. How can I cancel or reverse the usage decision so that I can do the result recording. Kindly advise?
Note: I have done the UD but not yet done the stock posting.

Use caution with this, it is not supported by SAP and is not recommended to normally use this.
Typically, if you need to correct results, it is recommended that existing results be left and the UD made. Then create a manual inspection lot for the material and enter in the corrected values. Make the UD on that lot. Than manually make any necessary inventory moves.

hi all,
Enhancement QEEM0015 is only used for individual result, it can not be used for summerized result.
Enhancement QEEM0011 is the right one for my case.
It works before the system valuates the inspectoin characteristics' result for both individual and summerized result.

VALUATION NOT APPEARING IN RESULT RECORDING

Hello....
I have created an inspection plan where i have assigned all the characteristic to be inspected with quantative data.
Upon goods receipt inspection lot is generated,
while doing result recording when i enter the result for eg. if the characteristic value is 1-10, and i enter the reult as 1, the valuation has to be set automatically as accepted but its not appearing, could anyone please let me know am i missing any settings.
Suggestions will be worth appretation

If you are using sampling procedure, check the "Valuation Mode". It must be "Manual Valuation" to achieve the valuation Manually.
The trx code will be QDV1/2/3 for Sampling procedure.

Okey if you are not using the sampling procedure then,
Set the value as "Automatic Close" / Close, Navigate and save automatically" in the IMG settings at Quality Management->Basic Settings->Maintain Settings at Plant Level, here for the relevant plant select the "Result Recording" Tab and set the mentioned vales for the field "Recording configuration"
Revert for for further inputs.

Result table data to be populated based on selection in the result list

We have a parent data source "P" containing all the record types. Further we have two child data sources each having filters on exclusive record types(for ex. child1 containing record types X, Y, Z and child2 containing record types A, B).
In our page we have a result list associated with data source child1(record types X, Y, Z) and result table associated with data source child2(record types A, B). There exists common attributes among the attributes present in result list and in the result table.
Rest of the containers in the page namely search, breadcrumbs, guided navigation point to the parent data source("P") containing all the record types.
Whenever we select a value from the guided navigation using the common attributes both the result list and result table are getting filtered.
What we require is that, whenever an attribute(common attribute) is clicked in the result list, the data in the result table needs to get filtered based on the value of the attribute that is clicked.
Is this possible? If so, pl. suggest how.

Take a look at the Studio release notes for EID 2.4 http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E35976_01/studio.240/RELNOTES.txt a lot of little bugs like the one you describe have been resolved. If you haven't already done so you should upgrade to 2.4.

I am facing problem I have maintained formula for paricular MIC,e.g Zn-for this MIC i have to calculate the percantage as 100 minus balance of the remaining MICs eg i have maintained in this form--1

and only for the MIC which formula is maintain i have maintained CAL CHAR.
when i creat a purchase and do migo an inpsection lot is gnerated.
when go to t.code QA32 to record results in RECORD RESULTS CHARACTERISTICS OVERVIEW
I HAVE NOTICED THE FOLLOWING PROBLEMS
1) FORMULA IS NOT BEEN CALCULATED.
2)INSPECTED COLCUMN NEXT TO SINGLE VALUE IS AN INPUT SCREEN.i.E-Number of Inspected Sample Units--(WHAT I MEAN ITS NOT GREY FEILD-THE VALUES HERE SHOULD BE 1 AND GREY )
3)ALSO THE SINGLE VALUE TAB IS GREY NOT USUAL-IF CLICK ON IT THE TAB DROP DOWN.
I HAVE RUN THIS SCENRIO IN MY DEVELOPMENT SERVER AND IT WORKED PREFECTLY,BUT MY CLIENT SERVER I AM GETTING THIS PROBLEM
WHAT ARE SETTING I AM MISSING.

1) As the sample size was 1 system was taking this as Summarised recording & that is the reason why the system is showing 3 tabs instead 4
2) Please do the following setting in Config : SPRO>QM> Basic Setting> maintain setting for plant level>Plant> Result recording > untick Summ. Recording n=1.
If you had ticked this means that the results recording will always be summarized if n = 1 (for example when inspecting one unit or 1 ml).
please do check now whether the formula is working for a new lot and you have 4 tabs in RR
