Poster image if chosen in InDesign for audio does not show up in EPUB. This is a bug in HTML/EPUB export and we are aware of this.

Poster image for Brightcove or YouTube link

In my DPS app, I have a video link to the clients Brightcove video cloud. The HTML code is inserted as an HTML object which creates a black panel. Tapping the panel reveals the poster image with the video start arrow in the center, tapping arrow plays the video . It plays no problem.
The black panel is the problem. How can I eliminate that?
Have tried with YouTube embed code, and same effect.
Any ideas gratefully received.

Default poster image for each exported video

Anyone know of a way to change the default "poster image" of each video that is exported to the MobileMe web gallery? The default icons that show up for each movie in my gallery aren't very good and I'd like to change to a different frame if possible. I know you can do this easily for photo albums by setting the key photo but cant find a similar way for videos. Maybe there is a setting in iMovie that I'm missing?

Video files show very low resolution poster image

Using Indesign CC and the latest tools and content viewer I am creating Autoplay video animations for the cover of our weekly magazine.
With each issue I have published the same problem occurs where the poster image for the video file is very low resolution and makes our content look very amateur (for a brief moment) before playing the video file at full resolution.
I have tried creating animations using flash, photoshop and Edge Animate, exporting MP4, MOV and OAM files. The problem is present with all movie files and with the Edge animation files a white flash appears before the file plays.
Is there a solution for either of these issues? We are looking to continue to use animations for our covers and need them to look 100% crisp and clean.

Sorry to jump in but I'm having the same issue too!
I have an H.264 mp4 which I created in After Effects and inserted using the Media panel within DPS.
As you see below, it plays on page load and I have chosen the finished front cover to be the poster image when it ends from within the Folio Overlays panel. I have set the video to stop on the last page.
When the video stops you can see all the artifacting around the text which I would expect to be as crisp as the original PSD file I uploaded as the poster image.
Is there anything I'm doing wrong or is there anything that can improve the quality of the final still?

How Set Video Poster Frame (Image) for Intro Media?

How can the Poster Frame (aka, Poster Image) for the Intro Media segment of an iba video be set?
Irrespective of anything I do with the Widget Inspector...such as attempting to move the Poster Frame to a frame at the desired ~7 second point (in a ~10 second clip)...iBA keeps resetting the Poster Frame to ~2.5 seconds (not wanted).
Very, very frustrating...suggestions?

Poster image not centering in browser

My poster image (for viewing in IE8) is not centering in the browser window. It's displaying as left aligned with a big gap to the right of the image. How do I fix?

Thank you Hemanth, that is exactly what I am referring to. One final question though, as I am by no means an HTML guru...do I add the snippet while I'm in Edge or do I open the HTML file in Dreamweaver and add the code there?
If in Edge, where do I access the code to add it (and where does it go)?

Poster images being created automatically

In the last few test animations I've created, a poster image is being created without me wanting it! Have I inadvertantly checked something that creates a poster image for me? Coz I want to switch it off! It's a real pain as once the poster is created it's impossible to get a .OAM to start with a "blank/transparent" start with out actually creating a blank transparent .png file.
Or is this a glitch, any thoughts?

Hmm, not sure I can agree with that, though I say that most humbly!
I've been creating lots of circles that flip, and as they go on a image background they need to have a transparent background, so I've not selected a poster image, and its been fine until maybe last week, I just found all of a sudden that a poster image was being created, it's actually easy to fix by just opening the poster image that has been created and delete the content and make it transparent, but my point is that I haven't had to do that.
Darrell I've been looking for adding a poster in the publish setting, I seem to remember it in V1, but has it not disappeared in V1.5?
The only different thing at the moment is I'm using 2 different png's for the front and back flip, where as when I didn't have a problem I was using 2 circles created in animate, with live text one side and an illustration for the other side, anyway I can't see why that would make a difference, but you never know!

How to get a poster or preview image for my flv file

I am trying to find out how I can get a static image to show in my flvplayer before someone presses the play button to view the video.
Details:
I am brand new to flash, videos, .flv files, flash players, etc. I am very experienced with Dreamweaver, however.
I had a DVD video. I converted it from DVD to a .flv file. In Dreamweaver, I inserted the .flv file into my web page using Insert - FLV. It added the nifty little flv player with the skins. Everything is working perfectly, except prior to the user clicking play, the video shows just a black screen. I'd like to replace that with a placeholder image (poster image??).

Is there simply a parameter I add to the object/ embed code? Or do I need to edit the video? Or otherwise? Any help would be appreciated, I'm being bounced from one forum to the next all over the place.

I followed the tutorial and totally got all of that, was able to add my poster frame, tested it, it all worked great. But now my video is in a .fla file; the option to export to FLV is not there. I need to get the video onto my web page now. So I tried exporting it as a .swf file, and then returned to Dreamweaver to insert the .swf file onto the page. I did an insert - SWF, the placeholder showed up, but when I tried to preview, I only got a blank white screen. I went to the Dreamweaver help files to see if I inserted it wrong, but I followed step by step and did it just as it said. (incidentally, a few days ago I tried insterting a different SWF file and the same thing happened).
(a) do you know why my SWF file is not showing up/previewing?
(b) is there a different file format I should have exported after I finished the tutorial for adding the poster image, when I had the functional .fla file?

Posting key is not assigned to the document types.
Posting key can be assigned to a particular trnsaction event etc., for example in OB40 for each transaction key in tax area, you can ddefine the posting key for bedit and credit.
However you have the option to create a validation to check that this particular document type is allowed to be posted with certain posting keys. Validation can be created in OB28, GGB0. The details are available in SDN. Please search that.

Where to download iPhone OS image for testing?

I have no idea where to download this iPhone OS disk image for my iPod Touch that plan to be used for testing...

My understanding is that the iPhone OS 2.2 beta is not necessarily available to everyone. If you've been accepted as a beta tester it will be the second area on the iPhone Dev Center after logging in (the first area is titled "Apple Developer Forums Beta", the second "iPhone OS 2.2 Beta Downloads", the third "iPhone OS 2.1 Downloads". If you're only seeing the 2.1 downloads then you're not part of the beta program. In this case, the iPhone firmware can be updated via iTunes, but only to the current version (2.1) and you'll need to wait until the general release of iPhone OS 2.2 and upgrade as normal.

How do i insert a splash screen or a loading screen and a application image for a phone app on Dreamweaver 6, 5.5 had the mobile application setting that is seemingly no longer present? and i also heard you can use animanted backgrounds on the mobile application in dreamweaver 6 but figuring out how to set the splash screen and application image like it was in 5.5 would be nice. All i can get to pull up is the web application i developed i am trying to build into a phone app on google chrome, if i could officially designate it as a phone app where i can set each splash screen and app image to where it is recognized as a phone app that would be really nice.

Duely noted, the server will still not connect, so i have left an inquery in the suggested forum.
