i have an issue with the SAP working which is installed in my laptop, where to post these SAP BASIS related issues ?
the issue is when i am trying to click on SAP management console it is showing the following message

XI 3.0 post system copy issue
Hi Experts,
We are using XI 3.0 on Windows and MSSQL platform, i have made system copy sucessfully from production system with process of DB restore for ABAP and Java Import, the new server is up and running both abap and java.
Problem : In the newserver when i execute the tcode sxmb_ifr it takes me to production server url and not the new server hostname url.
when i tried the http://newserver hostname.com:50000 it works fine. but from this url except home page every other link like exchaneprofile, SLD,IR and ID links still points to the production server host name.
Please look at the following post installation activities i have performed till now in new serverand please guide where else i have to change the host name in the new server.
Note: i did not cange the logical system assignment in scc4, beacuse i was not sure about the other problems we may face after directly assigning new logical system to the productive client in new server.

Note: In the SAP system copy guide it says me to chane few parameters in exchange profile but when i go through the url http://newserver hostname.com:50000/exchangeProfile it takes me to production server, is there any option to change the exchange profile parameters ?

The properties must be changed once - afterwards the URL to the exchange profile and all other URLs should become valid.
The key is therefore to change the exchange profile. Try please the to access the exchange profile by using the ip address or the fully
qualified name of the new server http://<newserver>:<port>exchangeProfile/connection.jsp

Regd-System Administration issue
Hi Gurus,
I have configured Central System Administration in Solution Manager and the "Open tasks" are available. If i click on the open tasks, it takes me to the configuration screen and from there if i click on ex: "Start DB12", actually it should take to the respective satellite system. But in my case, it is not taking to the satellite system. Trusted RFC is working fine for all satellite systems.
Could you please let me know what could be the reason for this issue.

im in guess of where to post system related issue, since this is my problem

i couldnt able to edit & save host file.
Tried below steps:
1. host --> properties --> Security --> add --> everyone --> given full control also.
2. Not able to do that in administrator account alsoWhich is the right place to post this question.

T510 - ThinkVantage Toolbox Issue - Domain System Administrator
Hello all,
My T510 is having a weird issue with the ThinkVantage Toolbox. It closes as soon as I try and open it...receiving the message that the toolbox has stopped working. I have un-installed and re-installed to no avail. The quirkiest part of this is that when I log on to my laptop as the domain system administrator the toolbox will launch and work correctly. Logged onto the domain as myself the toolbox will not open nor work. Same goes for the local administrator account...it will not work. The only user that can get the TV toolbox to work in the domain system administrator.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

could you set your normal user account to have admin priv, then set the ThinkVantage Toolbox to run as admin.
after that change your normal user account to what it was before and see if that works.

Edited by: user11969485 on Jun 22, 2011 3:09 AMBut where can I collect all functions what I know there is a way that is go to menu of system administrator responsibility and perform for all functions with parameters “QUERY_ONLY=YES".” But this is very time taking process; do you have some other way where can I make it fast?No -- However, you could use FNDLOAD to download the menu with all the forms/functions, edit the ldt file and add "QUERY_ONLY=YES" parameter and upload it to a new menu. I have not tried this before myself and it would take the same time as the above but it is an alternative.

Central System Administration in Workcenter - Remote Logon Issue
Hi,
We have a problem in our Solution Manager and we would like to know if is possible to fix it.
We have configured Central System Administration correctly for our satellite systems. We have configured some tasks and we are able to do remote logon to run some transactions in the stallete systems.
The problem comes in the Workcenter via web. In the workcenter we access to the Central System Administration and when we try to do remote logon to the satellite system nothing happens.
Anyone knows if it is possible to do remote logon to the satellite systems using workcenters?

RobertoFrom the transaction SOLMAN_WORKCENTER, navigate to the System Administration tab.
From the menu on the left select the task "Administration Tools".
Select your system from the table on the right
At the bottom of the screen you will see "Details for system <SID>"
Select the client and the RFC from the drop down menu.
You should see a list of Tools for Application Server with corresponding TCODES. If your selected RFC is functioning properly and the user ID specified in the RFC has the correct authorizations you should be able to log on remotely by clicking on the link provided. -

Have you changed something on your SharePoint 2007 environment recently before this issue occurred?
This issue may be related to Alternate Access Mappings settings like the following similar post, if you have configured AAM, you can check if this issue happened to some URLs, if it's the case, please add the problematic URLs as a Publish URLs for the default
zone for your web application, and also add these URLs as trusted locations, then check results again.
If above doesn't work, please enable ULS log on verbose level to get more useful log errors which time are corresponding to the errors occur.

We migrated a server (ldap and file serving) to some new machines, which have new names. We've got all of the login and file sharing functionality working on the new machines, but wherever we have a mount of a share in the Login Items for a user, we can't get the old machine out of the Login Items. It's not fatal, but it does make login take a lot longer because it has to fail first.
We can mount the share from the new server, and save THAT in a NEW Login Item just fine -- it's just that when you click on the old defunct one the minus sign is greyed out, and the mouseover says "You cannot change this item because it's managed by your system administrator." There is a yellow triangle next to the item in the list. Went into the user's ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.loginitems.plist and it's not in the file. The /Library/Preferences don't have anything that looks like a plist of the right name.

to fix this problem but wasted a lot of time. He also suggested to Google the proxy problem to see if ANYONE has any alternatives to fixing this problem!

I see many posts about using SCCM to configure policies, etc., etc. However, I can't find any information about my specific issue:
I have installed the Antimalware extension on several Azure VMs. Only one VM allows access to "System Center Endpoint Protection". All the other ones say "your system administrator has restricted access to this app". Now, since I am the
system administrator, I am at a loss how to be able to see / configure the other VMs using this program.
I have not installed SCCM, since I didn't think I would need it. If, in fact, I must install SCCM, it pretty much defeats the purpose of an extension.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I have a blackberry curve 9300 3G but when I try to use app world,it says system administrator is preventing me from using it. Why is this? And how can I use app world please?

Based on what you say, your BB is enrolled in a BES environment, and the administrator of that BES does not allow you to use AppWorld. You would have to talk to them concerning that.
If you are not part of BES, then your BB may well previously in it's life have been so, but was never properly cleansed of the restricting IT Policy. You can check here:

If indeed there is an IT Policy and you are 100% certain you are not part of BES, then you must take drastic actions. To begin, make sure you have a proper backup...you can find instructions via the link in my auto-sig on this post. Then, follow this:

After, when you restore, do not do a full restore...rather, only a custom restore of only those databases you require (e.g., contacts, calendar, etc.) but specifically do not restore any databases that have anything to do with IT Policy, Enterprise, or any similar thing. If you restore those, it will dutifully return the IT Policy to your device, and you'll be right back where you started.

I have created on windows service to fetch sharepoint list ad update the list items.
when i run this service in sharepoint server(where the sharepoint site is hosted),it is working fine. If i run the same service in another machine(sharepoint installed in this machine also). it is giving the below error

I also had similar issue couple of months back when I was trying to access a remote URL from a Windows service when the site does not exists in the server where service resides.
You cannot access a remote url (even though it is SharePoint server and also in same network ) from server object model.
SPSite can look in the current server only. here what is happening is SPSite will look for this in the current server DB and it is not finding this errror.
So please dont use ServerObject model for accessing remote sites. You can use Client Object model for the code /requirement you have stated above.
I wasted lot of time in finding a work around to make to work. It did not. So look for other options.

I have setup the Connection broker in HA with Server2 as Passive Server : DNS Round Robin poccb.mydomain.local (Server1)
The certificate Manager has generated 2 CA certificates :
- 1 for the RD Web Acc (poc.mydomain.local
-1 for Connection Broker SSO and for publishing
I have created 1 Group Policy for these 3 servers and 1 GP for my client Windows 7 SP1.

Thank you for posting in Windows Server Forum.
Firstly check that, your user is using domain\username to enter the credential in the dialog box.
Now for a try, you can edit .rdp file with notepad and just place “enablecredsspsupport:i:0” line in it, save it an launch to check whether you are facing same issue.
As you are using windows 7 then upgrade to RDP 8.1. Also as you have already enter the FQDN name of server under “Allow delegating default credentials”. For a try please enable and configure for all the remaining settings as follow and check the result.
Start / Run / gpedit.msc / Computer Configuration / Administrative Templates / System / Credentials Delegation, and make sure you have the following four options enabled and configured:
Allow Delegating Default Credentials with NTLM-only Server Authentication
Allow Delegating Default Credentials
Allow Delegating Saved Credentials
Allow Delegating Saved Credentials with NTLM-only Server Authentication
Finally, open a command prompt and use “gpupdate /force” command to apply the policy directly.

I have already posted a detailed message for the XML iview problem sometime back but havent got any reply so far. All the replies had come from users who are also facing the same problem. I am trying to use a XML iview for fetching RSS feeds from one of the internet source, i have entered the proper URL and selected the proper RSS to XHTMLB transformer also and have entered the proxy settings in the http service and enabled it and restarted it also, but again when i am previewing the Iview its giving me the error <b>"Error while using XML Iview, please contact your system administrator."</b>. I am using

The XML iView uses server-side fetching, so if you are having problems with a regular URL iView in server-side fetching mode, so the problem with the XML iVIew probably has to do with the proxy settings.
And since you got a 407 error, it seems there is an issue with proxy settings or the proxy server, as mentioned in this description of 407 error:
The HTTP 407 code only applies to users who are accessing the Internet behind a proxy server. This is common in government and corporate workplaces. The 407 code indicates that your computer must first authenticate itself with your company's proxy server. Check with your IT department or computer support group as to the exact reason why you may be getting this error. It may be possible that the proxy server does not allow downloads of specific files (exe, cab, com). You can also verify that your proxy server settings are valid.
I will check if I can find out any more specific info.

System Administrator does not Exist
Hi all, for Fresh Installation of 11.5.10.2, I have applied diagnostics patch for IZU_TOP.
I can login as SYSADMIN account, but can not see System Administrator Responsibility.
It shows Assigned in User Management module to SYSADMIN user. I tried to End Date and Assign again,and bounced Apache, but it does not show the responsibility after login.
While starting / stpooing of CM, it gives message :
'Please enter a valid responsibility. The responsibility System Administrator does not exist or is not active. Check that the correct applicaton short name is specified for your responsibility'.
Please help..

As detailed in note 316959.1 please do the following:
SELECT *
FROM Fnd_Responsibility_vl
WHERE Application_Id = 1
AND Responsibility_Name = 'System Administrator'
AND Start_Date <= Sysdate
AND ( End_Date is NULL OR End_Date > Sysdate );
2.-
SELECT count(*)
FROM Fnd_User_Resp_Groups;
3.- Back up the wf_role_hierarchies table into a new table you create.
Delete the entries in that table (2 rows exist)
Run affurgol.sql FORCE
Then replace those entries back into wf_role_hierarchies table
The steps to execute are:
3.a.
SQL> CREATE TABLE wf_role_hierarchies_copy AS
SELECT * FROM wf_role_hierarchies;
3.b.
SQL> TRUNCATE TABLE applsys.wf_role_hierarchies;
3.c.
SQL> @affurgol.sql FORCE
3.d.
SQL> INSERT INTO wf_role_hierarchies
SELECT * FROM wf_role_hierarchies_copy;
4.- Provide the output of the following SQL statement at this point:
SELECT count(*)
FROM Fnd_User_Resp_Groups;
