Define - "didn't find anything?"
There were no associations for the XI Adapter Framework?

    Hi - again i start a post.
We have problem that we have no adapters in CC-Monitor but Adapter Engine status is green.
Therefore we treid to refresh Cache which run fine, except when we Go To --> Adapter-Engine-Cache - nothing is shown.
In Integration Diretory we get error like:
Unable to contact Adapter Engine "af.px1.sapru03" that is affected by the data changes
http connection to "http://sapru03:50000/CPACache/invalidate" returns the status code "503" in response
    and for Java Cache:
Unable to notify integration runtime (Java) of data changes
http connection to "http://sapru03:50000/run/value_mapping_cache/ext?method=invalidateCache&mode=Invalidate" returns the status code "503" in response
We already checked user in SU01 if locked, but is not.
When trying to access cache via http://host:port/CPACache/refresh?mode=full
we receive an 403 with PISUPER oder PIISUSER.
Can somebody help how to register Adapter Engine perfectly?!

Hi, ok i read this before.
    1. We have no PCK installed so no need to undeploy.
    2. CacheType Property is set to DIRECTORY and uses PIAFUSER as user (is this right?)
    3. We get http 403 while calling <http://<host>:<J2EE-Port>/CPACache/
    4. For calling /CPACache/refresh?mode=full we get following error (let me tell you that this is first time this call runs and gave back information!):
    Negative confirmation:

  • RWB - Cache Connectivity Test - Adapter Engine shows error

    Hello Friends,
In our one production system (PI 7.1), while do 'Cache Connectivity Test' from RWB -> Component Monitoring, it shows the following error for Adapter Engine under Integration Directory.
    Error:
Cache notification from Integration Directory failed Error when accessing the System Landscape Directory.
No SLD elements of type SAP_XIAdapterFramework found
But, Integration Server - ABAP, Integration Server - JAVA shows green color. The messages are flowing through the Adapter Engine fine. i.e I am seeing 2 Adapter Engines under Integration Server in Component Monitoring. One Adapter Engine is in grey and another Adapter Engine shows green color.
When I click the grey color adapter engine, it immediately turns to red color and some different host name url is displayed (http://<wronghost>:53000/AdapterFramework/rtc).
So, what could be the problem ?
    Kindly clarify, friends.
    Thanking you.
    Kind regards,
    Jegathees P.

    Hello Jegathees
Apply the solution in note #804124 HTTP communication with XI Adapter Engine fails. Set the parameters:
    SLD.selfregistration.hostName
    SLD.selfregistration.httpPort
    SLD.selfregistration.httspPort
    as described in the note.

  • How to set main host for Adapter Engine in the HA enviroment

    Hi, all.
Our XI env. is like the following.
    XI 3.0 SP11 on Windows 2003 + SQL Server.
Central Instance(ABAP + J2EE Addon) is running on Host A,
Dialog Instances(ABAP + J2EE Addon) are running on Host B and Host C.
Our design was to have J2EE Adapter engine mainly running on Host A(CI). But after installation, Adapter Engine is running on Host C(one of DIs). When we check from the Runtime WorkBench. It shows Adapter Engine is running on Host C while IS is running on the Host A(CI).
Where can we change this configuration? We want the J2EE AE running on the Central Instance Host.
    Any advice appreciated.
    Best Regards.

    Hi Sejoon,
when we changed the host of XI server in one of our projects one of the things we had to change was the exchange profile entries
    http://server:port/exchangeProfile/index.html
to see how your adapter engine is configured
    http://server:port/sld
    SLD -> Content Maintenance
    then
    Subset: landscape description
    Class: XI Adapter Framework
buth check the exchange profile entries first

  • How to change connection port between INTEGRATION SERVER and Adapter Engine

    Hi,
I have scenario that in the productions server we are using SAP web dispatcher to connect to Adapter Engine for example the port is 60000.
So when we copy this server to DR environment the webdispatcher is not there. is that any way to change the all connection port between IS and Adapter from 60000 back to original port 50000 ?
    Please advise ?
    Thank You and Regards

    HI,
The waiting status is because of Message Queue is in wiating status. This may be because of overload of the messages, or may be your receiver systems is not ready  etc.
SO go to SMQ2 and check the status of the queues.
Also have a look into this blog-
    /people/sap.user72/blog/2005/11/29/xi-how-to-re-process-failed-xi-messages-automatically
    <i>
Why I can see this messages only in the integration server?</i>
    >>>If message reachs the Adapter engine, you can see in the Adapter monitor. In your case, message is still there in the Integration Engine. Once the queues are cleared it will reach the Adapter engine, so you can monitor it in the adapter engine

  • Messages are in hold in the Adapter Engine

    Hi all,
I am seeing in my adapter engine that all of the messages are in status hold , it is for  a specific business system and interface.
2009-02-10 21:41:30 Success Message successfully put into the queue.
2009-02-10 21:41:31 Success The message was successfully retrieved from the receive queue.
2009-02-10 21:41:31 Success The message status set to HOLD.
    can anyone please help?
    Thanks in advance
    Sugata B

    Hi
i ve got the same problem .
I m using the message monitor in order to find the first message in error in this queue and so to be able to free the queue.
My problem is how to detect these holding messages.
As the error is in the Adapter Engine , you cant see it in sxmb_moni transaction
In the message monitoring, you can check it manually.
I need to have an automatic report of 'holding messages".
I try to connect the Adapter engine alert to the ccms. The problem is that autoreaction alert arent possible in this case.
Any body found the means to check directly in the database with sql-based command the status of message ?
    thanks for your help

  • Multiple adapter engine URL's found

    Hello,
In the integration directory, when we tried to add a communication channel or change a currently existing communication channel we get an error " Attempt to determine which Adapter Engines are affected by data changes failed". We did a cache refresh and in AE runtime cache we find the AE name changed to "CA" with a new adapter engine name. The default was "AE" with the adpater name blank. Also in the cache notification of ID there is an "Unknown error" in red and in the cache instance we find 2 adapter engine instances.
Where can we find the actual adapter engine set up for the integration server ?? and How can we revert back to the original settings??
    Any help is appreciated.

  • Decentral adapter engine & security

    Hi Guys,
We have a requrement wherein there are 10 business systems in the landscape to be connected to XI. would it be advisable to install 10 decentral adapter engines on all the 10 business systems to ensure the security of the message sent by the different systems to SAP XI? Can we install the decentral adapter engine on the business system itself? If not, what could be the best option to ensure the secured message delivery to XI system from all the different business systems. I have read the ppt https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/03fd85cc-0201-0010-8ca4-a32a119a582d
where it says that the decentral adapter engine should be used when close proximity with the business system is needed. Does it mean that we have to install the decentral adapter engine on every business system from which we want to ensure secure message transfer?
<It is against the rules of Engagement to post a question with the catch of awarding points. Please refrain from the same.>
Edited by: Bhavesh Kantilal on Dec 3, 2008 10:26 AM

So, I think your have the answer in the link above:
A decentral adapter engine is used when we need to connect to other applicaton systems through a firewall.
Xi does not provide any such security, so in order to ensure security and to allow minimal access to out sld and other objects we use an external adapter engine(a decentralised adapter engine).
An example of using a decentralised AE would be when we connect the PCK
You could install a non-central adapter enfine/PCK in those business systems outside your network.
In your inside business systems is not necessary.

  • Purpose of having central adapter engine

What is the purpose of having Centeral Adapter Engine when any WAS 6.40 has an adapter engine that can communicate de-centrally with the IS?
    Regards
    chandrakanth.K

    Hi Chandra,
The Adapter Engine is a separate software or software component  that is automatically installed on the Integration Server. In this case, we will call it as central Adapter Engine. You can also install the Adapter Engine separately on another host. This is then a non-central Adapter Engine.
By installing the adapter engine centrally on Integration Server, all the components like adapter engine, integration engine, mapping runtime etc will be at single place which increases the preformance.
In the case of non central adapter engine, where we will install the adapter engine at another system(may be in another place) which decrease your total server performance.

  • Option Adapter Engine of SOAP Adapter Sender

Hi, I have a question, I am creating a Communication Channel Type Sender Adapter Soap and note that the combo box  Adapter Engine only appears Adapter Engine Central option and watch some examples of internet show Integration Server option and the section Default XI Parameters. It has to do with the version I'm using? or need to configure anything?. The version I have installed is the PI version 7.1.
    Thanks for the support.

Hi, if the adapter XI shows the Integration Server. So in version 7.1 is no longer displayed in the Integration Server in the option Adapter Engine?. The problem is that I am leading this link http://www.****************/Tutorials/XI/SYNCASYNC/Page2.htm see image http://www.****************/Tutorials/XI/SYNCASYNC/Page2.76.jpg and not put in the Adapter Engine and XI Default Parameter. HI Anulraja,
Your Adapter Engine searches the pipeline url of the integration engine from the SLD.
Check the Bussiness System in Sld , which you'll have defined for XI Server.
It should have ROLE : Integration Server And
    pipeline url: http://ux0800:55300/sap/xi/engine?type=entry
should be this if your http port is 55300.
Check if this url is right in SLD-Bussiness System.
You can check the exact http port in transaction sxmb_adm.
Go to Integration engine configuration and then click on check icon(F7).
It should match with that provided in the BS in SLD.
By default it should be 8000.
Check all these things and then try.
    Regards,
    Yomesh

  • What is an AFW connection and what is AFW Listener Bean in Adapter Engine?

What is the purpose of the above two in Adapter Engine ?
and also tell me what do we mean by:-
    Sequencer for EOIO
    Scheduler retry EO
    Recieve/send QUeue.

    Hey,
Itz much better to be clear with the concept of adapters. FILE ADAPTER or with the concept of serialization of IDOCS in the idoc adapter.
    Coming to the question
Consider While setting parameters for sending the data through  file adapter in the processing parameters tab you have to set value for Quality dof service.
    We have three option
Best Effort -> Used for synchronous processing.
EO refers to exactly once  -> Used for Assynchronous processing of the mesage. Mesages will be processed once.
EOIO (Exactly Once In Order) ->  Used for Assynchronous processing of messages in a sequence. We need to specify the queue name in this case.
In case of send u need to specify send queue, and receive Receive queue.
Messages will be processed in the same sequence as it arrives or leaves the integration process.
