Where to update to 2.1

I am at work and eager to install the 2.1 software. Do I need to be connected to my main computer (computer where the phone is synced too) to update or can I update the phone from any Mac with iTune 8?

to be safe, do it from the computer where you do the sync with so no info would be lost. And have patient.

I cancelled a payment through PayPal. How do I update the payment for that charge?  I looked at my payment information and it has my credit card information.  I'm not sure where to update the payment that was associated with my PayPal account?  I am not sure what that paid for?  I am trying to process updates on my IPhone & IPad for apps. I have already downloaded.

Hi Xellana, and a warm welcome to the forums!
I'm looking for information and pricing on possibly upgrading the processor from the PowerPC to Intel.
While anything is possible if you had enough money... NOPE, you can't change the CPUs to Intel, nor can you get any faster PPC upgrades for it. It'd be far cheaper to buy a new IntelMac than to replace everything inside the G5, and I mean just about everything, then figure out how to machine the case & such to mount Intel Logic Board, Graphic Card & such.
    Sorry.

  • Where to update the credit card information?

    Dear All,
Where to update the credit card information without purchase any skype credit?
    Thanks

Spoke with Adobe staff - apparently this is a known issue with no fix in place. Hopefully they can get me in touch with someone who can update my credit card info so I don't get locked out of my applications as I have an art exhibit I'm preparing for. I'll keep the forum posted on status.

The applications on the tablet will be updated only if the operating system is updated, but currently there is no roadmap to update the Tablet P to ICS at this moment. We apologize for this. We will announce any new updates within the Announcement category.

  • Where to update the ACH Company ID for the bank?

Electronic file that Payment Process creates has a ACH company Id that is invalid. We have to change this ID in the system so that the valid company id is reflected in the file.
Where to update the ACH Company ID for the bank?

    Hi,
Normally, the Company ID should be that of the Tax Reporting ID - (M) Setup:Tax:Reporting Entities.
If using NACHA, the initial digit code can either be 1, 3 or 9 (depends i.e. for IRS EIN="1") + the first 9 digit of tax id.
(Depending on your setup) Tax ID can also be checked in the Alternate Account Holder field of the Bank Accounts window (Disbursement bank account).

  • Where do updates get installed - why doesn't it give us a choice?

I keep my personal program files on a separate external drive in case of need to
reinstall. So my Reader is on this separate drive.
But it is not clear that this is where the updates go.
Most programs give you a location choice as to where to install the updates.
Why doesn't Adobe - and will they change this?

In addition to the above reply, you do get a choice when doing the original Adobe Reader install; see the option "Change Destination Folder" below

  • Where to update Corruption Perception Index for Customer/Vendor (3rd Party)

    Hi all,
Please guide me where (tcode/function) to update Corruption Perception Index (CPI) for Customer/Vendor (3rd Party) according to his Country.
    Thanks
    Chan Phuong

The reason is due to the schedule line category (t.code VOV6) type CS. In the configuration, Req/assembly is switched off, so requirements will not be passed to MD04. The process itself is clear, the third party goods will not influence the plant stock, hence no need to pass the requirement.
To fulfill your requirement, you may turn on the field Req/assembly and test.
    Regards,

  • I keep getting a window saying there is an Amazon button update, I can't find where to update it from? Any thoughts?

I get a little window that pops up, states there is an Amazon update to the button. It then disappears. I can't locate where in Firefox to make it update.

    Hello Sandy.
This window is probably there because of an extension. You should get support with the extension's author.
    Or it could be malware...

  • Where are update packets kept?

I checked install and keep packets. Thinking that would keep the updates in the download folder. I want to use them to update the other mac. I can't seem to find them. Am I correct in thinking that I can use the packets from the updates on another machine or do I need to just download the updates and not auto install?

If you don't know how something works, it only confuses the issue if you post about it.
Clearly the position that updates end up scattered in what would appear to end users to be mysterious locations throughout the hard drive is understandable. In comparison, the old way where retained packages always ended up in the standard location of the "/Library/Packages" folder is quite logical. The poster is not confused about anything, if anything, you are confused by bringing receipts into it.
The packages under 10.5 are downloaded, moved and expanded into various user specific directories outside of the user's home folders (I have not looked into what happens with FileVault users so this may be different for them). Ultimately, the updates end up in the directory corresponding to the value of the user's 'TMPDIR' environment variable. For example, try opening "/Applications" > "Utilities" > "Terminal.app" and entering this case-sensitive command:<pre>
    open $TMPDIR</pre>
This command opens the user's temporary folder, which is normally invisible. Since '$TMPDIR' is different for every user, depending on which user performed the update, the updates end up in a different folder. Invisible, user-specific temporary folders - "mysterious locations throughout the hard drive" seems an apt description. But don't be surprised if the updates aren't there.
To top it all off, the temporary folders are cleared out during a reboot, so "Install and Keep Package" only keeps it until the computer is rebooted (if the update is shuffled off somewhere else again at this point, I haven't been able to find it). So to keep your update, you have to go digging into your '$TMPDIR' (assuming the non-technical user knows to look for it) and retrieve the update before the reboot (which the update itself might require).
What genius indeed did come up with and approve this seemingly arbitrary and unnecessary downgrade in usability? Manually downloading updates would indeed be a workaround for the inelegance. So far from being confused, the post by "rythm connection" could be described as insightful.

  • Where Did "Update All" Go?

It used to be that when I had multiple apps that needed to be updated, there was an option in the App Store to "update all."  They would then update in the background without the need for any more input.
Recently though, that option seems to have diappeared.  At the top of the screen, there are two buttons: "All" and "Not On This iPhone."  To update those which show a need for updating, I have to scroll down a long list, and then update one at a time.  Worse, each time I update one, the phone kicks back out to the main screen showing that particular app loading and then installing the update.  To update another one, I have to go back into the App Store, scroll down the list, and repeat the routine again over and over for each app.
Did something in the software change, or is there something I can do to get the convenient "Update All" option back?

They would only be where you put them.
You should be importing them to your computer regularly as you would with any digital camera, most especially before any update.
If you failed to do this, then they are likely gone.
You can try a restore from backup.

  • Where to update the VXI PNP drivers in Labview 8.6

    All,
I just started using Labview 8.6. Previously with Labview 7.1, I can download a VXI PNP driver from Agilent and then go to "tools/instrumentation/update VXI PNP drivers" to add the driver to the function palette. I am wondering where this function is in the new Labview 8.6.
For the particular driver, I am using the hp816x. I downloaded as a .exe file from Agilent website. No relevant driver can be found on the NI instrument driver network.
Please help me. Thanks so much!

    Hello,
This functionality is found in a separate download, the LabVIEW Instrument Driver Import Wizard, found the LabVIEW Plug and Play section here : http://www.ni.com/devzone/idnet/development.htm
You will need to download and install this software, and it will add that functionality to whatever version of LabVIEW you install it to.

Why can't you do that now?
iTunes menu View > View Sidebar.
Select Apps on the left side.
