Where used list doesn't work for global data

Hi,
When i try to do where used list on a constant in an include, it doesn't give the results for classes.
The class contains the include in a method that uses the constant, and the where used list for that constant doesn't find the appearance of the constant in the class.
I tried to look for oss note that solves the problem but i couldn't find any.

I tried to update the navigation index but it still doesn't work. from my debuging i found out that it just doesn't look in classes, all classes. I mean even in the where used itself there is not an option for used in classes. I checked it and it's a generic problem of the where used list for global data.

  • Where used list is not working for IMG nodes/Document   in solar01

    hi experts
In template project , we are using same IMG objects in different business processes and subsequent configuration document is attached to each IMG node in configuration tab.  ( like same IMG node  -  define order types used in different business process configuration tab )
when i use " where used list " from the configuration tab , its not showing the IMG objects  used in different business processes in the same project. whereas its showing the IMG nodes used in the different project.
I need to find out the same IMG objects/ document  used in the same project using the " Where used list " button.
    Please provide your answers
Note : we have linked one configuration document to same IMG nodes used in different business. " where used list " also not working for documents as well
    Thanks
    Sol man

    Hello there,
I just tried some tests and couldn't face any problem with locating other usages for the objects in configuration tab.
You mentioned a configuration document, so have in mind that the document usage will only be considered if it is a link to the same document and not just a copy.
    e.g:
Here I created a document in this node:
Then I added it as a link here:
    and as a copy here:
When I go back to the original node and use the where-used, it'll only show the original and the link:
This happens because after copying a document, it is considered as a new one instead of another usage of the original one.
    best regards,

  • Get AD group membership doesn't work for global groups

I want to pull the group membership for OBIEE directly from AD.
This has been covered in many blogs and forums, no problem, I've found some user created functions - basically all of it uses
    DBMS_LDAP package methods
with one exception that additionally to it also uses
    DBMS_LDAP_UTL.get_group_membership
ALL THOSE functions work BUT I've verified it with the actual group membership from AD or adfind tool (http://www.joeware.net/freetools/tools/adfind/index.htm)
The list returned by Oracle packages doesn't match, or to be exact only partially matches the factual AD list.
I've done some research and found there are three types used for defining group's scope by AD:
    Domain Local, Global, or Universal
    (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc755692(WS.10).aspx)
leaving the first one out of the scope as we don't use it
    - I've verified and found ALL missing ONES are defined as GLOBAL
All the Oracle funcitons I've found correctly pulls only UNIVERSAL group memberships and none of GLOBAL
Microsoft documentation says that both of them (Universal and Global) have forest-wide visibility....
and so AdFind can list both..
so why Oracle limits the search to UNIVERSAL ones only?
Maybe it's a matter of initialize those DBMS_LDAP packages differently or passing slightly different parameters??
I've really tried a lot of this code in different combinations but no joy
    Has anyone got some ideas?

I have the same question as jrv: Why? It doesn't increase security. The command prompt is a program, not a security boundary.
Disabling the command prompt does NOT increase security

  • Snap-To-Grid Finder feature doesn't work for mounted data CDs (Icon View)

I always use Icon View in Finder. And I AM aware of the CMD+J --> Arrange by --> Snap-To-Grid feature. I've set it for all my other Finder windows for my startup drive, and it works. (Actually, I set it to auto-arrange by Kind.) I've even used it as the default setting by clicking the "Set As Defaults" button at the bottom of the View Options window.
But there seems to be a weird glitch where every time I insert a burned data CD with icon folders and such, my Finder window always opens a mess of icons, one on top of each other. I keep setting it back to CMD+J --> Arrange by --> Kind, and the icons organize into grids right after. I click "Set As Defaults" again. But when I eject the CD, then mount it again, Finder gives me a mess of one-on-top-of-the-other icons all over again. What gives? I just want to be able to set all my files to auto-arrange in Finder by Kind.

But when I eject the CD, then mount it again, Finder gives me a mess of one-on-top-of-the-other icons all over again
    Of course it will.
The CD is read-only - it can't be written to. Since the window position, view settings, layout, etc. are stored in the directory, there's no way for the Finder to write the changed settings back to the disk before you eject it.
The issue occurs because what you're seeing is how the window was laid out when the disk was burned in the first place.
Your solution is to re-burn the disk, positioning the icons where you want them before starting the burn.

  • Filter using "List" is not working when Exporting Data

    Hi All,
We have built a BI publisher report with 10 different layouts, each layout is corresponds to one separate report. In one layout we have one table view and "List" tool bar to select the required data. When we select a particular value in the list, the report correctly displays data of the selected value. But when we export this data to an excel sheet, it downloads the entire data irrespective of the selected value into the excel. Is there any way to export only the selected data?
    E.g.
Consider we have a list for Year which has 4 years as values.
    2008
    2009
    2010
    2011
When we click on 2008, the report in interactive mode displays the values w.r.t 2008 but when we export it to excel, we see the data of all four years.
    Appreciate your support in advance.
    Thanks,
    Karthick

    Hello All,
Anyone came across the above scenario? Please advise.
    Thanks.

  • Where used list for business objects in TM

    Hi,
There is a where used list framework in TM7 for

  • Where-Used List: Modifying SAP standard function module

    Hi,
We have decided to modify SAP standard function module SD_SCHEDULING. But before that, we need to understand what impact this modification will have in the system. We will also estimate the risks with this modification.
Therefore, I have taken Where-Used List for this function module. We are aware that this list is not comprehensive.
Do you know any other way we could use to understand better what impacts this kind of modification may have? My colleagues say that this is the only way.
Thanks in advance for your help.
    Regards,
    Jarmo Tuominen

    Hi Jarmo,
    Try this
1). Goto Se16 and check the contents of table 'CROSS'.
2). Enter 'F' in the first selection screen field
3). In the NAME field enter the Function module SD_SCHEDULING and execute.
4). The list will give you where all the FM has been used.
Kindly note this is almost the same as doing a where used list. The where used list will only work correctly if the 'Update Navigation Index' works correctly in your system. So just to ensure the result of your where used list you can follow the above steps. This does not require the Update Navigation Index.
    Hope this helps
    Cheers

  • How to solve problem with where-used list?

I've the problem that in many places of my FPM (floorplan manager, web dynpro) code the where-used list does not work anymore because the FPM functions force the developer to specify structure of column names by literals. So for example in the UIBB's GET_DEFINITION methods or when using the following piece of code in some PROCESS_EVENT function:
    CASE io_event->mv_event_id.
         WHEN if_fpm_guibb_list=>gc_guibb_list_on_cell_action.
         io_event->mo_event_data->get_value(
              EXPORTING
                   iv_key = if_fpm_guibb_list=>gc_event_par_column_name
              IMPORTING
                   ev_value = lv_col_name
              if ( lv_col_name = 'FOO' ).
              endif.
    endcase.
Here one must comapare (line 9) the variable lv_col_name with some literal containing the name of an element of a structure. So the where-used list on STRUCT-FOO does not find this source. Is there any way to fix this problem? I thought to use RTTI for it, but could not find any way to do this. Possibly, is there any pragam or pseudo comment to update the where-used list of a specific structure at a given place?

The point is that when I start using RS_ABAP_SOURCE_SCAN I have to remember to do this I don't like the situation that after changing some name of a structure's element, the source code of the whole application is correct, no error will occur but the behaviour of the application may be totally wrong. Possibility a better solution will be to add some constants containing the structure element names to the model class of the FPM application.

  • Absolutely complete Where-Used-List

    Hello together,
I want/need to code an report to find definitely all dispositions of a domain.
Well you will say - Push the Button "Where-Used-List" - but the result is not that what I need.
What I want to get as result is an absolutely complete list with all objects which have the same root.
    Example:
Domain SAKNR is used in over 600 data elements. Each of the data elements is used in tables, in dynpros, in coding.
These objects I also want to get.
At the moment I have to continue pushing the button Where-Used-list. First time for domain, second time for data element and so on.
    My question:
Does anbody coded something like this or do you know a function module to use for it?
    Thanks in advance.
    Heiko

It is possible but the runtime would be too large.

Not sure which driver you mean when you say "the driver in the Mac's list". Apple does not provide a driver for this device, so if you mean one of the default printers that are included with 10.6, like the Generic Postscript or Generic PCL, then these will only work if the optional PS or PCL print kits were installed in the machine. Given your inability to print then it would seem that you have neither kit installed. So this would require you to install the Canon UFR2 driver, which you can obtain via this link.
With the UFR2 driver installed, you add the printer using IP > LPD. Enter the IP address of the iRC2380, leave the Queue name blank and change the Name to iRC2380. Leave the Location field blank and in the Print Using menu, browse to the "Canon iR C2380/2550 UFR II (UK)". Click OK and then Add to complete the queue creation. You should now be able to print. Please reply if it does not work.

  • Where used listing for Query Variables

Can someone tell me how to get this list from the metadata repository or from the transport connector?
I have read this thread "where used" list for BEx variables but this isn't working for us.
Is there some config that is required which we have missing?
We are running BI7 SP19 if this helps.
    Thanks
    Craig

    Arun,
Yeah I figured as much, but this is why I am thinking we have something missing, config or otherwise.
Cause all I get when I do this is a new window with just the Variable details and nothing else, no where used list at all i.e.
    Page Creation Date: 17.03.2009 15:12:03

  • Where used List for Packages (from Transport connection)

    Hi SDN,
If objects , such as queries, or webtemplates, are incorrectly allocated to a BEx package at the beginning, my question is as follows:
Can we find out which objects/queries/templates have been allocated to a particular package?
Via some table, or where used list?
As we have a global system, we are performing this task for many developers who have incorrectly used packages from the start.
    Thank you.
    Simon

    Hi Khaja,
That is perfect!  I am tracking the various element objects
    ELEM
    TMPL
    QVIW
    etc...
Would you happen to know if it is possible to mass change objects to the correct package and transport through.
    Thank you.

  • Bizarre situation with the "Where used list" for a table updated by FB50

    Hello all,
I use the "where used list" (all check boxes selected) function in SE11 to find out where and how the table FMGLFLEXT (General Ledger Public Sector: Total) is being used and updated. All I get is a reference to a function module, namely   “G_POSTING_FMGLFLEXT”. When I do a "where used list" (once again, all check boxes selected) for the FM, I get the message: Function Module G_POSTING_FMGLFLEXT not found in selected search area Message no. ES120“ despite the fact that all check boxes are selected.
Yet this table contains data which were put in there via transaction FB50 (G/L Acct Pstg: Single Screen Trans.). So somehow, somewhere this data was created and put into the table.
I don’t get it! What am I missing?
    Thank you for your help

There could be several reasons for this, including:
    - The cross reference tables (used by the "where used" functionality) have not been updated in the system you are logged into - check with your Basis team on this as the programs that do this (a) run for hours and (b) take up a fair chunk of database space.
    - The data may be stored via dynamic SQL (e.g. "insert into (g_tab_name)") so the table reference doesn't show up
    - The function module may be called dynamically so the FM where used doesn't reflect this
You could try, instead, using the ST05 SQL Trace to track what code is updating the table when you run FB50.

  • Where-Used list for BEx query chars & KFs

Hello everyone.  I am trying to find a way to identify what Characteristics and Key Figures are used withing an infocube in BW.  I think that the BW Statistics cubes may help, but that was going to be my fallback option.
I couldn't find a way to do a where-used list for characteristic and key figures when in the Query Designer.  I can do a where-used on restricted key figures and char. variables.
Does anyone know of other ways to do this.  How about looking in some of the core BW DB Tables (eg. RS*)?
    Thanks,
    Kevin

Oh my, I just realized that I typed in my question wrong.  I am sorry.  That's what I get for doing this during a long meeting!
Here's the right question (I double-checked this time):
I am trying to find what queries contain some specific chars & KFs.
So you are exactly right that the previous suggestion for using RSD1 would work to find what infocubes they are used in.
    Sorry for the confusion.
    Kevin
