Hi,
LSMW - Helps to transfer data from legacy system to SAP either one time or periodically.
Steps -
1. Import data (legacy data in spreadsheet tables and/or sequential files)
2. Convert data (from source format to target format)
3. Import data (into the database of the SAP application)
a. Maintain Structure relations, field mapping and conversion rules.
b. Data from legacy system is read
c. Based on step a, the data gets converted
d. The converted data is imported to R/3 system based onBatch input processing or Direct Input or through IDOC Inbound processing

There is a content repository defined for documents and files are stored in tables defined in those repositories.
Usually table for HR documents is SDOKCONT1.
Check Tcode OAC0.

Where to store mysap.properties file?

Hello,
I'm trying to test application Test User Management under SAP J2EE engine of SRM UM. When I run page:
http://mysite:54000/logon/TestUM
there is an message:
Test is disabled, please specify UM_TESTUM=true
I assume that this "UM_TESTUM=true" setting should be put in mysap.properties file. My question is where to store mysap.properties file?
Somewhere here?

I am not doing it in ITunes, but i did down load the song from ITunes. I loaded the song on to my Nano, but in my menu selections it doesn't show the song or the artist in any search format. However, when i plug in my nano to my PC I see the Nano library on my PC drive listings and that song and artist are there. I can click on the song and it will play in Windows media on my work PC. I did notice that the format for most all the songs in my library on my Nano are MPEG - 4 audio Files.

I have intermittent problems attaching files in Yahoo mail and this is usually the reason. I'm also using an iMac (10.7.3) and this is likely the problem.
It is generally a Yahoo issue rather than a Mac problem.

BI Document Store and SAP Analytics

Hi,
Requirement: Store text in BI system which was entered through visual composer text control.
Background: Im trying to store some text in BI system through CL_RSOD_DOC->SAVE. Text written in visual composer text editor and being passed to the class method Save through bespoke BAPI Z_BAPI_BI_DOC_WRITE. FYI, this BAPI is created through a how-to document Integrate BI Document Store and SAP Analytics Applications by SAP itself.
Problem: Text editor has the ability to format text as paragraphs and tab spaces but when the entered text is retrieved, it comes as a single line; i.e. all the carriage returns are truncated and data retrieved in form of string.
Possible Cause: Data being passed to method Save is through interface field type String, which is then considered as plain text without any formatting. But keep in consideration that receiving parameter of method Save also has type String, so changing interface in outer function wont work.
Can you please suggest any possible resolution of the problem? I want to display the data as it was entered, i.e. with carriage returns, etc.

which service do you need? Did you create all the services, which are described in the document? Also check if your function module is remote-enabled, only then you have access to it from Visual Composer.

Receive email attchmnt, store in SAP & link to PO

Hi Experts,
We have a requirement to convert PO to PDF and send it as an e-mail attachment which is possible .
But the requirement is to add digital signature to the PO and send it as E-mail attachment.
Also once vendor confirms and signs the same document and scans it and send it through e-mail as attachment. This document should be stored in Sap and linked to PO.
I am working on ECC 6.0.
Any pointers to receive an email attachment, store in SAP & link to PO would be great.

How/Where to store current page details in ADF?

What is the best way to populate the managedBean while loading the page?
In my application, I have an page fragment which display the user details from Webservice DataControl. I drag and drop the webservice data control in to the pageFragment. This fragment has mapped in the taskFlow and the taskFlow as attached in to main JSPX page as a region. I need to store this user information to any place (ManagedBean / or anyother best place to store) which I can use throughout my application, since I dont want to reexecute the webservice each time to get the same user information. Also I want to collect and store this info while I render the main page, not after any user action.
Please advice how & where to store the information in ADF? Can I create an managedBean? If so how to trigger that class method at page load?

in this case you configure the managed bean to be in session scope. Then, on the first page, you define a phase listener for the after restore phase (its a tag on the f:view element). This phaselistener references the managed bean using EL (important). It can do so using a method expression in JSF. For example, if the managed bean had a method populateUserInfo then yu could reference #{beanname.populateUserInfo} and execute the method expression using Java. In the managed bean, the method would access the binding layer Using the BindingContext class

Where I can download SAP Netweaver 7.1 ????

Currently I'm running SAP Netweaver 7.0 ABAP Trial version, configured to run BI.
I installed SAP NW 70 Presentation 710 Composite Core, so now I have the following applications: Analyzer, Query Designer, Report Designer, WAD.
Well, everything seems ok but when I try to run any of this applications nothing happens. Also, If I put the cursor over the executable files I can read the following message: "Can Only be used in SAP Netweaver 7.1"
So, the question is WHERE I can download SAP Netweaver 7.1?
I am not sure if this is the right path in sap marketplace:
Installations and Upgrades-> SAP NetWeaver-> SAP NETWEAVER-> SAP NETWEAVER CE 7.1
CE stands for Composition Environment...that's why I'm not sure is this is what I need to run Analyzer, Query designer, etc.

You can also download that from this location in service market place.
Go to Downloads->Installations and Upgrade->Search for Installations and Upgrades and key in NW CE 7.1 and choose the component you would want to download.

This function may be one of the few things that IE does better than Firefox. IE lets you change the temporary file location in Tools - Internet options - Settings. Firefox developers should make this task easier and put the instructions in the Help file where they can be easily found.
Since I use an SSD for Drive C, I have learned that any file(s) that are frequently written to should be moved elsewhere to a conventional HDD.
