Where will it ship when pre-ordered?  Does this depend if you order through Apple or if you order through your carrier like Verizon or AT&T?

Do you want it faster, or are you worried about it sitting on your porch?
If you are worried about theft, use the tracking number to see if they require a signature or will leave it unattended.

    So you are planning on a pre-order and pick it up in the Store? If that is correct, and if Apple offers that, you can use a credit card to hold the phone and then transact your recycle, etc. when you pick it up at the store.

    Dear Apple,
    I sadly had to pre-order my new iPhone 5 through AT&T last Friday morning and was told I would get the phone today and then told it would be Oct 5th. I went into a store to see what I can do and although they have plenty in stock they told me nothing and then informed me it would be late October before it shipped. I know that this has nothing to do with you but since you have wonderful customer service and knowledgable peole can you please give me an accurate date on when the next wave of pre-orders will be shipped. Thank you so much. You guys are the best.

    If you want to know when the next shipment will be, call your local store or whomever you ordered it from and ask them.

    Hi, I pre-ordered a book in iBooks on my iPad mini. Today is the day the book was to be available. How will I know when the book is there?  The iPad mini is running iOS 6.1.3. I don't plan to update to iOS 7 on the mini.

    You could also simply go to the iBook Store, find it, and download it.  You shouldn't be billed twice when you do this.  You could also setup automatic downloads at the time you purchase the book.  The worse that could happen is that you get two copies of the book, and simply delete one.

    About a month ago I pre-ordered an album on itunes, The album dosent come out until november but the first single on the album came out today.
    If i purchase the song now, will it be downloaded again when the album is avalible? also will i be charge the same amount for the album?

    In general, a single release is considered a separate release, even if the same song later appears on an album.

    I don't remember the website crashing when the Druid X was launched so I don't think there will be a problem with the iPhone unless a bunch of **bleep** from AT&T are on there trying to order on the 3rd when they can't until the 10th. From my research it looks like the Druid X was more hyped up and in more of a demand than the iPhone, Most say I will wait for the iPhone 5 or that there happy with Android and not a Apple fan boy I hope this is true so there will be more iPhones for the rest of us!

  • When pre-ordering an album fron the iTunes Store on either my macbook or iPhone musy I pay up front or when it arrives?

    The Pre-Ordered Album has arrived in my iPhone 'Downloads' but will not download/install. I just now tapped Store in Settings on the iPhone in question set it to auto download music, apps and books which as it happens was turned off. Ok.
    So how do I get the pre-orederd download/installed? And are Pre-orders paid for when you order them or when you receive them?
    The Pre-Ordered Bob Dylan: Live at Bonnie Beecher's Apartment is sitting in iTune>More>Downloads but won't budge when I tap it.  It isn't showing in 'Purchases' either and I can not confirm from receipts if it was paid for when ordered becauseI threw the first few Apps and iTunes electronic receipts in the trash. I stopped doing that long ago and have been saving them since then on my mac and in mail folders.

    I had the exact same issue this week for a Pre-order album as well.  I would recommend canceling the Pre-order and download it again as you mentioned it has not been charged.  This article will walk you though the process.

    Its different at different places...
    In India, the pre-order amt. is Rs. 2000/- (approx. 7.6% of the total cost..) One has to take delivery within 3 months of launch or forfeite this amount...

  • Faster to pre order or wait and purchase at retail store?

    I'm just curious to know if anyone has any experience or knows in general whether it's faster to pre order a product or to wait until it arrives in the Apple store. I'm finally upgrading my iPod touch, and can't wait to get my hands on the 4th generation. Thanks for any information.

    I would say purchase at the retail store. The apple website says that it takes a week to ship out (probably from September 1st) because that's when they're officially released to the public. So what that means, is that in a week it will actually start to ship to your house which will take probably around 4 days depending on where you live. However if you buy it in stores (when it's released next week from september 1st), you can just buy it then and not wait 4 days for it to ship to your house.
