Where will sysout go

I have a servlet which calls a method in RMI server where a PL/SQL procedure is executed. There is an existing dbms_output.put_line statement in that pl/sql which shows some error codes or exceptions.
I am trying to find where that output will appear? The servlet is run from tomcat and I looked in the tomcat logs and the RMI server logs and nothing appears.
Can someone please advise if that dbms_output will appear in some logs or spool or will not?
Thx

  • Out of no where, will not connect wirelessly.

I just purchased a Windows 8 pc. However, I take such good care of my techie things I still have an old Toshiba laptop about 8 years old, maybe a little less that runs just great, it's just the technolgy was getting a little behind. It's the old style "tablet" that has the swivel screen and was considered "heavy" accord to our standards today.
The Toshiba Satellite (circa 2005) laptop is an XP with all the updates and service packs. I keep it lean and clean with Advanced System Care, have for months with no problem. It was always used to connect wirelessly.
About the middle of February I switced from Verizon slow DSL to Comcast because we have no other choice for a faster speed. No FIOS. But, I've come back a full 180 to Verizon. However I did get a new modem, the latest advances. It's a D-Link ADSL2+  (DSL2750B)  Supposed to run 3 to 6 times faster than the old Verizon modem I had. When I first connected to the DSL I turned this laptop on, connected wirelessly and it was there great going! I was even hitting almost the top speed I am provisioned for wireless. The modem is only 2 feet away but still. I turned if off, turned my attention back to the new Windows 8 machine for a day couple of days
Then I wanted to go back and check the Toshiba XP  and revel in it's great performance on this new modem .... drat!!  It detects all local stations, even of course mine, but when I try to connect it tries but fails and jumps to a neighbors DSL. I can however connect with the Ethernet cord.
I've been using this Toshiba Tablet for months with a USB wireless adapter just fine that a friend gave me. In fact either the internal wireless adapter and the USB worked with not a problem but tests seemed to show his gift of the adapter was a little faster, so I use it exclusively.
So neither wireless adapter, internal or USB will connect to my modem. I even tried pressing the WPS button on the modem, the one that's lets someone near log on without a password.
So there it is. Can anyone have a clue why this worked at the first and now won't?  Also, all other pc's, including a netbook with XP and a new small android tablet are connecting no problem. It's the Toshiba laptop alone that for some reason ...
out of no where, will not connect wirelessly. Is there an easy fix than uninstalling drivers?  But why would both adapters get a corrupted driver at the same time?  I hope there is help here.  Thanks so much for reading this and consdering my situation.  Jack  ":-D

Since the computer can connect with the neighbor's router, I don't think there is a problem with wireless connection on the computer. So it has to be some configuration or settings problem with the new modem. I would check the encryption of the new modem. If the computer can see the modem, but not connect, my thinking is that the encryption is blocking the connection. Temporarily disable the encryption on the new modem and see if that makes a difference. If it doesn't, you may want to check the advanced settings on the modem and compare the IP settings on the computers that work versus the one that doesn't.

  • With Mobile.me going away soon, where will I be able to upload my iWeb pages. iCloud?

Where will iWeb upload to after Mobile.Me goes away?  As a high school English teacher, I have developed thousand(s) of highly interactive pages of tutorials, tests, keys, lesson plans, etc., that my advanced and learning challenged students have come to rely on.  The last thing I want to do is develop these pages even more without first knowing what will become of my work:  thousands of hours of work.  Uploading to a non-Apple FTP is an option, but then the webpages lose password protection, blogging capabilities etc.  I need an Apple solution...which is what I have always relied on for over 25 years. Using Google.docs would be like retuning to the Stone Age.  Any viable solutions?  I have talked with the Apple Help center folks, but they have no answers to date.  Thanks.

I don't think so.  Steve replied to an email saying that we would have to look elsewhere for hosting our sites.
You can use a 3rd party server and retain password protection on a site or page by page basis.
For what it's worth I signed up with HostExcellence several days ago with their Ultimate Business plan at $8/mo.  That's a wee bit less than MMe was but with that I get 3 free domain names , unlimited space and bandwidth, email addresses, subdomains and 24/7 ear-to-ear excellent customer support.
Within a few hours I had my Demo and tutorial sites moved and up and running.  Pretty simple actually. I used Transmit to open my new server and my iDisk so I could drag and drop from the iDisk onto the HE server. Just like copying from one of my hard drives to another.
Each of the domain names can have an email address and several alias.
As far as a hit counter you'll need a 3rd party one.  I use StatCounter and that gives me so much more than just visitor counts. It gives me their location,  what site the visitor came from, what browser used, what system the visitor was running and lots more.  I've written a tutorial on how to install it: #13 - Adding a StatCounter as an HTML Snippet.
For many of my sites I've put them in my primary domain name account, oldtoad.net.  So the URL to my Demo_1 site would be oldtoad.net/Demo_1.  Same for my Toads Cellar website folder. Copied it into the oldtoad.net directory and the URL for the cellar became oldtoad.net/ToadsCellar, short and sweet.
I had been contemplating this move for quite a while now and the latest round of events and help from longtime HE user and friend, Roddy McKay, got me off my duff and started. Now I wish I had made the move earlier.
Publishing to HE is no different that to MMe.  You can either publish directly with iWeb or to a folder on your hard drive and then use a 3rd party FTP client from there.   Since I optimize my sites with Website Maestro I publish to a folder and let WSM optimize and upload to the server.
Since we have a year before MMe is history one can take time to move to the new server and get things straightened away before going live with the new sites.

The consolidation methods types you have listed are the standard ones  provided by BPC for Consolidation Method types.
You can set the Consolidation Methods in the BPC Administration Console under Business Rules Library -> Consolidation Methods.
There you can see some defaults - you can remove these and set your own if you prefer.
You should read the BPC340 Training guide.

  • Where will we find dynamic option in web forms

    Hi, Gurus
1.where will we find dynamic option in web forms?
    regards
    Taruni

If you're talking about the dynamic POV in web forms introduced in 11.1.2.2.302, documentation only exists in the patch readme at this time. I've pasted it below.
Support for Dynamic POV Member Lists in Web Data Forms
This release provides support for dynamic POV member lists in Web Data Forms. You can create dynamic POV member lists to display dimension members that meet specific criteria. Dynamic POV member lists are created dynamically at runtime, based on the current POV member of one or more dimensions.
Using dynamic POV member lists in data forms enables you to quickly populate rows and columns with valid members, depending on what has been selected in the POV. For example, you can create a dynamic POV member list that defines valid entities per year. When you select a year in the data form, the system displays only the valid entities that were defined in the member list for that year.
    Example:
    YearPOV = HS.MemberListYear
    If HS.MemberListID = 12 Then
    If YearPOV = 2011Then
    HS.AddEntityToList "Group", "CORP_OPS"
    ElseIf YearPOV = 2012 Then
    HS.AddEntityToList "Group", "CORP_OPS"
    HS.AddEntityToList "Group", "CHINA"
    HS.AddEntityToList "Group", "GERMANY"
    HS.AddEntityToList "Group", "UK"
    End if
The basis on which the dynamic POV member lists can be created are Scenario, Year, Period, Entity, but member lists can now be created for any dimension. For example, you can create Year lists based on Entity, Custom lists based on Scenario and Entity, Account lists based on Period, and so on. The dimension on which to base the list (Scenario, Year, Period, Entity) must be in the form POV to be effective. If the dimension is not in the form POV, then the HS.MemberList<object> rule returns an empty string.
Administrators define dynamic POV member lists in application member list files. Dynamic POV member lists are identified with the (@POV) suffix, for example, <ValidForEntity>(@POV). Each member list file must include an EnumMemberLists subroutine to specify which dimensions have dynamic POV member lists, the number of lists for each dimension, and the name of each member list. The member list file must also include an EnumMembersInList subroutine to define the members in the list.
Administrators can then add dynamic POV member lists to a form when they define the data form, in the same way that they add other member lists.
In an application that has dynamic POV member lists defined, users can then use the Form Designer to select member lists for the rows and columns of the form. From the Member Selection dialog box, the valid dynamic POV member lists for the current dimension are displayed with an @POV suffix at the bottom of the dialog box, and users can select them in the same way as other members.

  • How to upload words, exel, PDF file from the pc via itune to the iPad, and where will the uploaded file be saved? In the apps?

How to upload words, exel, PDF file from the pc via itune to the iPad, and where will the uploaded file be saved? In the apps?

You will need an app (or apps) on your iPad that is capable of reading the documents, as they will be saved with the app - if you don't have such an app then there is nothing to transfer them to or to read/access them.
One method of transferring them is toconnect your iPad to your computer's iTunes, select it's app tab, and then scroll to the bottom of it - you should the apps That you've got that are capable of file-sharing (if you've got any).  Selecting/high-lighting one of them should then allow you to add files to it via the box to the right of it.
An alternative way to get the documents onto your iPad is if the app that you want to transfer them to has a wifi setting, which will then allow you to transfer the documents wirelessly. You can also send the documents to yourself as attachments and then use Mail's 'open in' facility to copy them into your chosen app.
Edit : more info on file sharing from the manual :
File Sharing lets you transfer files between iPad and your computer. You can share files created with a compatible app and saved in a supported format.
Apps that support file sharing appear in the File Sharing Apps list in iTunes. For each app, the Files list shows the documents that are on iPad. See the app’s documentation for how it shares files; not all apps support this feature.
    Connect iPad to your computer.
In iTunes, select iPad in the Devices list, then click Apps at the top of the screen.
In the File Sharing section, select an app from the list on the left.
On the right, select the file you want to transfer, then click “Save to” and choose a destination on your computer.
Transfer a file from your computer to iPad:
    Connect iPad to your computer.
In iTunes, select iPad in the Devices list, then click Apps at the top of the screen.
In the File Sharing section, click Add.
Select a file, then click Choose (Mac) or OK (PC).
The file is transferred to your device and can be opened using an app that supports that file type. To transfer more than one file, select each additional file.
Delete a file from iPad: Select the file in the Files list, then tap Delete.

    Hi,
this is the content of the oss note (hope it helps):
    Symptom
Where are the documents that you can create and display using the generic object services (System -> Connections or System -> 'Services for the object') physically stored?
    Solution
    Storing attachments using generic services
The generic object services offer a separate option via the 'Copy desktop document', 'Connect Internet address (URL)' and 'Create a note' services to add an attachment to a business document. As of Release 4.6C, these services are called 'Create attachment', 'Create an external document (URL)' and 'Create a note'.
These services should enable the end user to easily enter attachments without document characters (memos).Correspondingly, there is no archiving concept for this type of attachment.
Technically speaking, notes, PC attachments and URLs are treated as SAPoffice documents and result in corresponding entries in the SOOD and SOFM tables. The contents of the attachments are stored in the SOC3 table. As of Release 4.6B, the contents of PC attachments are stored using the Knowledge Provider (KPro). The KPro allows you to connect an external storage system so that the contents of the PC attachments no longer place a burden on the database. If an external storage system is not connected, the contents of the PC attachments are written to the SOFFCONT1 table as of Release 4.6B.The administrative information necessary to locate the document in the Kpro is in the SOC3 table.
The content of notes and URLs continues to be stored in the SOC3 table. As these documents are usually small, the additional effort involved in storing them in the KPro is not justified.
If the PC attachments are not to be stored in the SOFFCONT1 table, you must assign a category to the SOFFPHIO document class using transaction SKPR08. The category is created in transaction OACT and refers to a repository on a HTTP content server. If documents that have already been stored are to be moved to the content server, see note 389366.
For more information on connecting an external Content Server, see the online documentation for the SAP Knowledge Provider or the information available in the help portal under Basis -> Basis Services -> Business Workplace -> Administration of... -> Information on Documents... -> Configuring an HTTP Content Server for Documents.
The relationship between the attachments and the business documents is provided via the Object Relationship Service.
Defining attachments using the archive link
If an optical archive was connected using the archive link and the corresponding settings for the document type were maintained for the object types of a business document, documents can be stored in the Content Repository, directly from the PC, via the 'Establish relationships for the stored document' or 'Store the business document' service.
In addition, refer to the online documentation for more information on configuring the archive link.
    Best regards.

  • Where will PI go?

The SAP Information Interchange is SAP's new EDI and B2B managed service. It is a managed EDI/B2B exchange service that is operated in a cloud computing environment. It utilizes SAP's NetWeaver platform as a foundation for the service which makes integrating with SAP users that have NetWeaver very simple - almost plug and play. Even those without NetWeaver can activate the service using IDocs or tRFC.

will SAP Information Interchange replace PI or it's only enhancement for PI?

    *Custom mappings ?
2010-03-03 02:51:23 Christian Sy Business Card [Reply]
Interesting. But how do you handle the requirement of customer-specific mappings ? I have not seen one single customer which did not require any specific mapping changes between Idoc and EDIFact (so far about EDI "standard"). Is it possible that the customer does the mapping in his own PI and then just calls a SAP EDI service which converts the document 1:1 between XML and EDIFact ?
And what about monitoring options ? Famous topic, we sent the document, but customer did not receive it. What now ? Where to look ?

    Custom mappings ?
2010-03-03 15:16:18 Kevin Benedict Business Card [Reply]
Good question CSY! SII (SAP Information Interchange) is a managed EDI Hub, and as such they will need to map the customer specific requirements into the Hub. However, once the map is created it will be available for re-use by all other SAP customers that exchange EDI with that particular customer. That is my understanding.

    Hi,
Interesting news! Do you know how this will operate in relation to SAP PI? Will PI be necessary for Information Interchange to function or will Information Interchange reduce the need for companies to invest in PI as their integration platform?
    Thanks for any feedback!

    Interoperability with PI
2010-03-02 09:14:53 Kevin Benedict Business Card [Reply]
The SAP Information Interchange uses NetWeaver PI itself, in the EDI Hub, and can easily connect PI-to-PI with any other SAP customer using it. However, the EDI Hub can also connect to any SAP customer via tRFC, web service or IDoc as well.
    Interoperability with PI
2010-03-04 06:14:16 Steve Sprague Business Card [Reply]
The service can connect to an SAP application in two ways today. The standard certified processes are based on standardized IDOCs via RFC connections. You can also utilize SAP PI as a middleware and exchange XML IDOCs as well as Enterprise Services in future releases.
From an implementation perspective - there is a managed service/hosted component that Crossgate provides that manages all the day to day operations, transactional monitoring, partner connectivity, as well as add on components such as e-Invoicing support in 38 countries.
To other comments, here is a more defined definition:
The SAP Information Interchange is a standalone runtime system for managing B2B mapping based on the message content. SAP Information Interchange runs in the role of a B2B/EDI translator (mapping engine). SAP Information Interchange integrates into the backend system (e.g. SAP ERP) and translates the backend system (standard IDOC formats, PI connectivity, or via Enterprise Services) to the external business partnersu2019 message format (i.e. Wal-Mart Purchase Order EDI format). The major difference is that you are no longer purchasing a EDI mapping tool and building the content. Instead, the runtime is included and pricing is based on a set of profiles representing the individual rules and requirements of the Trading Partner.
This is the major difference to any competitor. Content, you actually are purchasing the Wal-Mart Purchase Order to Orders05 IDOC which is running and working. This content is then maintained by SAP. For example if Wal-Mart were to add an additional field or change their version as they tend to do -- that mapping format change is provided within the support contract.
The core of the mapping methodology is based on a canonical structure. Similar to the classic way EAI solutions are implemented. The left side (or ERP interface) is maintained with SAP based on the GDT definitions and Enterprise Service descriptions. The right side (Partner Proifles) are always mapped to the canonical format. Interestingly enough, this mapping procedure has been done for years. Many of the large global enterprise have used canonical structures between their apps and B2B solutions in order to provide a buffer from internal changes as well as flexibility to consolidate systems. *
Personally, I think that PI will remain here. It is not just restricted to EDI.
