  • Does anyone know where I can get a replacement keyboard for my imac G5 power PC purchased in December 2005

Does anyone know where in the UK or Ireland I can get a replacement keyboard for my imac G5 power PC purchased in December 2005. Running Mac OSX 10.4.1.1?

Not sure where in Ireland to look, but be aware that SOME Apple Aluminum boards will work with 10.4.11. The first Al boards and those through the first few months of 2011 were compatible with any Mac running OS 10.4.11 and having USB ports. Then they changed them to require 10.6.8 for full function.
The ones compatible with 10.4.11 (MB110LL/A) have the icon for Dashboard on the F4 key; the later ones (MB110LL/B) have an icon consisting of six tiny rectangles grouped to form a larger rectangle. The keyboard boxes are nearly identical except for:
the system requirements printed on the front panel
the back panel on the first model reads "Keyboard" where the newer model reads "Keyboard with Numeric Keypad."

  • Is it possible to order a t520 keyboard for a thinkpad t510 laptop

    hi all,
i am just wondering if that is possible because i think it must be something with the design of the t510 since my friend has a t420 and his keyboard feels great. unfortunately this t510 (and for the record i had 3 keyboard replacements) and each of the keyboard felt good initially but after some usage, the keys themeslves felt more resistant to press down. Either I am crazy but i feel that my keyboard goes through phases...where before at first the keys are extremely hard to depress and after a while the keys get really easy to depress and after while of typing on that keyboard it slowly the keys starts to get harder to depress down. It is really hard to believe but it is true. Might be a defect in the t510 keyboard or i am just so unlucky to get the same problem 3 times in a row with these replacement keyboards. lol
    thanks
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    The keyboard on T510, T520, X220, T410, T420, T410s, T420s, T400s, W510, W520 are all intercompatible. So the answer to your question is yes.
Just look for the Part number of the keyboard under the keyboard.
What you describe is possible, as initially the various plastic mechanism has not worn in, once it is worn in to the optimal point, the key will feel easier to type on. But as you use it more, the key mechanism will eventually wear out and create the difficulties you explain.
Just like car engine, there is a wear in period for the engine parts after which the car engine will feel smoother and eventually it will wear out.
P.S. But what you describe will only be noticeable for people whom constantly type on their keyboard at a very fast rate.

  • Where can i order a replacement battery for my Macbook Pro

My battery is completely dead now and i cant even get my macbook on without it plugged in, and even then it struggles. i know its an easy change so rather than pay alot to get someone else to do it id rather change it myself and save some money. The model i need is an A1309.
    Thanks

Try iFixit.com or Powerbookmedic.com.  Amazon has had what appear to be OEM Apple batteries but I do not guarantee that.
Anything on e-bay is suspect and you may be just throwing your money away by purchasing  there.
If you want certainty, get it from Apple and you will also get a warranty,
    Ciao.

I need to order a replacement battery for Model A1185. Where can I get one?

You can get a new third party battery fairly cheap on eBay. Every MacBook from 2006 through Mid 2009 except the Late 2008 Aluminum Unibody and the Late 2009 and 2010 White Unibodies use the same A1185 battery.

Or for $129 from The Apple Store  http://store.apple.com/us/product/MA566LL/A?mco=MTY3ODQ5OTY
I've bought used MacBooks off of eBay for my family, nine of them so far over the last 6 years. I've bought 8 batteries off of eBay sellers, just going with the cheapest. Only had one with a problem, it gave out after 6 cycles. That one was replaced under the warranty by the seller. The only other batteries that have been a problem were Apple branded batteries that started bulging. I've had two of those happen.

    Hi perry604,
    Welcome to Sony Community!
Your keyboard is built-in directly to the laptop, we only sell external parts and accessories,  it's better to seek help to a professional technician within your area to repair it.  You have an option to bring the unit to an authorized repair center or a third party repair center. • Odd question about a replacement keyboard for HP pavilion G71326DX

I have a G7 1326DX that needs a replacement keyboard. However A frind of mine recently purchased a G72233cl and I noticed that the keyboards were basically the same, however his had a design that I like much better (Key types). My question is, Can I purchase a Replacement keyboard for the G72233cl and install that keyboard into my G71326DX. I have looked into the connection interface, as well as lined up the notches around the edges of the keyboard with pictures of the replacement keyboards, However I want to make sure it will work correctly before I make my Purchase. Any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks.
    Marvin Parnell

    Hello MPnarnell,
The keyboard on your G7-1326dx needs to be replaced, but you want to use a keyboard for a G7-2233cl, is that correct? I will try to help you .
Comparing the keyboard section of the manuals the part number for the keyboard you want to you use doesn’t show in the G7-1326dx list of compatible keyboards. The reason being probably is because it has never been fully tested.
Now both computers are G7’s but they are 2 totally different series of G7’s so the motherboards are probably different as well. This is one of those issues where you would have to  test it out and see, I don’t believe it will work but I could be wrong. Here is the part number for the keyboard that came on the G7-2233cl. (699146-001)
If you decided to go ahead and try to change it be sure to check for a BIOS update before doing so.
Please respond back at your earliest convenience.

  • Replacement keyboard for dv7-3183cl

I'm looking for a replacement keyboard for my DV7-3183cl, a backlit keyboard would be great but an original replacement would be satisfactory. Thanks.

    Hi,
Firstly you can not connect a backlit keyboard to your computer without replacing the motherboad. You need somewhere to plug a bunch of lights. For normal keyboard, you can order from the following link:

  • I need a replacement keyboard for a Lenovo 3000 C200 Model# 8922-2FU

My wife dumped a glass of water on her laptop and I am having a really hard time finding a replacement keyboard.
Why do wives love to break the machines?
    Thanks

IBM indicates your part numbers could be this: 39T7353 or this: 39T7417 if you have a laptop designed for English in the USA.
Try these people: http://www.acsparts.com/contact_us.asp   Do check your machine first (remove the keyboard & look at its exact part number).  They can order things they don't have in stock from the warehouse.  I bought a replacement keyboard for my 3000 N200 from them a few months ago, it was an exact replacement.

  • Replacement keyboard for model 2000-104CA??

    Hello all,
I need to replace the keyboard on:
    The model is: 2000-104CA
    Product: LV987UA#ABC
    Rev. : 3577-100
#1. Can someone please tell me what the keyboard part # is?
#2. I tried removing the keyboard (after the fact) and the video instructions, located here: http://h20574.www2.hp.com/results.htm?SID=5059088&MEID=FAA31BDC-56B6-472D-BA7B-4295B0216628 seem incorrect.
The instructions state to remove 1 5mm P1 screw, then press down with a probe tool in the hole indicated. All I ended up doing with pushing out the "insert" key. I can slightly lift that top side of the keyboard but there is definitely something locking down the keyboard around speaker mute/speaker + function keys.
    What am I doing wrong?
    Thank you

    Hi,
The guy in this video does it in the first two minutes then he continues to disassemble his G60 notebook . It would be wise to remove the battery first. It can be done with shoes on.

  • Replacement keyboard for hp dv6000 laptop that feels exactly like original

can anyone recommend a vendor for a replacement keyboard for a dv6000 laptop with exact same tactile feel as the original?
some of the aftermarket ones i've ordered and installed work perfectly but have different finger feel than the original. i prefer the feel of the original keyboard when i touchtype.
    many thanks.
by way of additional info, the original keyboard is numbered AEAT1UO0110. i think this is the number unique to this exact keyboard. which is different than keyboard which fit perfectly but feel differently.

  • Where do I buy a replacement battery for a MacBookPro6,2

After 1504 cycles, the "Replace Soon" warning has shown up on my mid-2010 MacBook Pro. I am 100% capable of replacing the battery myself, however I can't find anywhere on Apple's website to buy the replacement battery. All it says is to bring it in for them to replace which is not an option for me at this time.
Does anyone have a SPECIFIC recommendation on where to buy a GENUINE replacement battery for my model? And please don't say "ebay" or "amazon".
Here are the specs on my model: http://support.apple.com/kb/SP582

Apple insists on installing the batteries in unibody MBP's them selves and will NOT sell you the battery otherwise.  Your alternative is to make an appointment or ship the MBP to them.
Yes, it is easy to install the battery.  I have taken mine out a couple of times.
    Ciao.
I'm looking for a non-Apple, non-ebay, non-amazon source for the battery. My Macbook Pro is in use 12+ hours per day for school and work so sending it in for a replacement is also not an option. So strange how it's impossible to find this battery for sale from an online retailer. Macmall, OWC, MacConnection, PowerMax, SmallDog... nobody sells them. :-(

Where can I purchase a replacement CD for the Airport Express Base station A1264?
I'd like to sell my Airport Base Station, but I believe I need a CD with the software on it for the new owner. Anyone know where I can find one?
    Thanks!
    Meredith

I doubt it is available.. and since a new Mac doesn't even have an optical drive.. there is no need whatsoever today for the cd.. it is all available in the OS or download. In fact the stuff on the cd will now be totally out of date.
