Whether firefox mobile is available for LG Optimus One (Android 2.2)

I am trying to install firefox mobile on my mobile LG Optimus One (having Android 2.2). But it is not getting installed.
Is it available for this device. If yes, what procedure should I follow to download it.
Thank you.

The mobile version of Firefox is dependent upon the processor being used. The LG Optimus One has an ARM 11 processor which uses the ARMv6 architecture. The mobile version of Firefox requires a processor that uses the ARMv7 architecture. There are experimental builds that '''may '''work on the LG Optimus One, for details see https://wiki.mozilla.org/Mobile/Platforms/Android in particular the part about the ARMv6 experimental builds.

  • When will Firefox mobile be available for LG Optimus M?

My LG Optimus M apps market gives me the message, "The requested item could not be found" when I try to download mobile Firefox on my phone.

Mobile Firefox is not compatible with the LG Optimus M as it requires a newer type of processor. The LG Optimus M has a processor that supports ARMv6 architecture, but mobile Firefox requires a processor that supports ARMv7 architecture.
You '''may''' be able to run the experimental ARMv6 builds, for details see https://wiki.mozilla.org/Mobile/Platforms/Android

  • When will Firefox Mobile be available for Android 1.5?

I have the new Motorola i1 (Boost Mobile) which runs version 1.5 of the Android operating system with no upgrade to 2.x in sight. Any idea when Firefox mobile might be available for it?

The minimum requirement is Android 2.0, I don't believe there are any plans to make a version for Android 1.5

  • Firefox mobile not supported for lg optimus zip

Hello, I recently switched over to straight talk and was sad to find out that firefox mobile is not supported for the lg optimus zip. I hope in the future that will change.

hello moon_serenity, firefox won't run on your device because it has to little RAM memory (150 MB instead of the 384 MB that would be needed for firefox to run). in the past there have been efforts to make firefox on android run on more low-spec devices, but the 384 MB seem to be the bottom limit that has been reached of what's possible to achieve. so unfortunately i fear that there will be no way to make firefox run on the lg optimus zip.

  • When will it be available for "lg optimus S" android phone?

I have an android lg optimus s phone...I love firefox and id really love to use it as a browser for my phone.....when will it be available for my model cellphone?

Firefox requires an cpu that supports ARMv7. The LG Optimus S supports ARMv6. Unfortunately our tests on ARMv6 have shown that the cpu is just too slow to support Firefox.

  • When will FF mobile be available for Sprint LG Optimus S?

    Sprint LG Optimus S LS670 Android 2.3.3

Sorry that Firefox is not available for your phone. Unfortunately, the full Firefox browser is just not small or fast enough yet to run on every mobile device. We're working on making it faster, so this might change in the future. We're also working on bringing apps like Firefox Home to more devices that can't run the full Firefox browser.

  • Firefox Mobile available for those with no Android Market

Seems the article [http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/install-firefox-mobile#os=android&browser=m6 "How do I install Firefox on a mobile device?" ] requires Android Market.
FYI: "Android Market" is only available with Google's GMS (Google Mobile Services) kit, and only for those devices Google has had the opportunity to approve. In addition there are limitations from which countries developers are allowed to publish and sell applications via Android Market.
Android being Open Source, is probably used on just as many non-certified by Google devices.
There are reputable alternative Marketplaces that power such devices ranging from tablets, Android TV's, E-book readers, etc that come preloaded (or for users download) such as the [http://slideme.org/sam "SlideME Market (SAM)" ]. Any reason, (beyond the effort it takes to stock the apk onto other stores) why Firefox Mobile for Android could not be on such stores, including Amazon Appstore (another reputable, but limited to US only)?

Firefox makes use of a lot of the features that the Android market has such as access to select devices (only ARMv7 + 512mb RAM), provides updates, and collecting Java crash data. If someone has a device that meets the minimum specs and wants to deal with updating Firefox themselves Firefox mobile can be found on the ftp.
Due to the above reasons and others I'm forgetting 3rd party markets are not a high priority.

  • Are we ever going to see this (and other mobile apps) available for Android?

I'm starting to get pretty upset about this. I've been a proponent of Adobe CC since it started, as the licensing and payment model works great for small businesses like mine. However, I feel like I'm not part of the CC group now as more and more mobile apps are launched that we cannot access. Surely there's a huge portion of Adobe CC users who don't use Apple products, but still work on the road and want to work with clients in their offices, etc, etc.
Calling all non-Apple users... please can we apply some pressure as a group and get Adobe to make some sort of effort on this front?

Or how about the other 90% of businesses working on Windows? When will this be available for Windows? (2-in-1s, Surface Pro 3, etc.)
Please, stop with the Apple bias, Adobe! I'm never going to realistically use Comp CC, Photoshop or Illustrator on something that has only 1GB of RAM, a cutesy single-core mobile device processor (vs. the i7 in the Surface Pro 3), that can't print to the HP color laser jet sitting next to me, that can't multi-task between programs and that forces you to use a squishy, hide-the-pen-tip, rubber-tipped stylus. It's like choosing your teenage daughter's tablet to do demanding, professional work. Square peg, round hole.

  • When will Kit Kat be available for my HTC One?

I still don't have Kit Kat available for download on my HTC One. Any idea when that will happen?  I was told by Verizon support a few weeks ago that March 7, 2014 was the release date for the "pull".
    Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the info Erik2013. Here are some steps to assist with making sure that update has fully been pushed to your device http://vz.to/1fYqhsJ If you are still having issues, you might need to master reset the phone to see if that can help push the update http://vz.to/OqXUHP Please keep us posted on the results. Before performing a hard reset, try to power the device off and pull the SIM card out for 5-10 minutes. Thanks again for your patience Erik2013.

  • Is there any estimate as to when firefox will be available for compatablility with Coby MID1126, currently when i try to download from the Android Market it says you don't have any devices (it is a wifi tablet connecting at a free wifi hotspot)

i tryed downloading the package and installing it off the usb port as a download and the file crashed

Except for the Telechips TCC88xx processor series, all of the others are not ARMv7 type of cpu's but say ARMv6 or ARMv5. http://www.telechips.com/eng/Product/Product.asp
It is more of a matter of whether the device has the appropriate hardware (and 512+ MB RAM) versus making mobile Firefox for specific devices, especially if they do not have a ARMv7 type of cpu.

  • Microsoft Office Mobile not available for N8-00 No...

    Hi,
I had installed Microsoft Office Mobile on my Nokia ages ago but had to reinstall the operating system due to a bug/quirk in an unrelated aspect of the phone.
Anyway, Microsoft Office Mobile dissappeared and I was never offered via Nokia Suite the update again. I recently reinstalled the OS again as I wanted to get Microsoft Office Mobile back and am now at 111.030.0609, however I am still not being offered via the "Software Updates" on the phone or Nokia Suite to get MOM back.
I noticed if I use Nokia Suite store to search for "Microsoft", "Microsoft Apps" shows up and I can click "Download and Install". Anyway, this downloads the 48kb the store suggests and transfers it over to phone, where the phone seems to:
    1. "Preparing installation"
    2. Connects up to the internet
    3. Gets a message "Network connection lost. Cancelling installation."
    4. "Download Failed"
    5. "To continue this installation later, select this icon in your application menu or find 'Microsoft Apps - Nokia Store installer' in No..." (trunc'd by the phone, not me"
Needless to say selecting the icon fails silently (after I notice it trying to access the network).
Any tips would be greatly appreciated!
    Tom

Don't know whether your N8-00 is network branded or generic SIM free version, but as Microsoft Office Suite is pre-installed in Belle Refresh 111.040.1511 it is perhaps no longer available via SW update or Nokia Suite for 111.030.0609

  • When will firefox mobile be available in Us?

I see the firefox phones for sale on ebay and want to buy one. Which carrier can I use it on?

This seems like the best place to deposit additional information about AT&T and ZTE Open US from Ebay.
<b>NOTE: AT&T told me directly that this phone is considered a smartphone, and as such requires a smartphone plan.</b>
AT&T has two prepaid GoPhone plans with data that will work with ZTE Open US, see [http://www.att.com/shop/wireless/plans/prepaidplans.html official menu] (zip code required).
    # $50/month, Basic/quick messaging phone plan. ZTE Open US can be set to use only 2G EDGE network: Settings : Cellular & Data : Network operator : Network type. This plan is truly unlimited because it is considered slow enough to prevent excessive data usage.
    # $60/month, Smartphone plan. By default, ZTE Open US will use high speed 3.5G HSPA network. This plan is limited to 2GB/month transit, extra 1GB for $10.
Technically speaking, the first plan is compatible with 3.5G HSPA network, but termination of service is likely to happen sooner than it would otherwise (using the phone with the first plan probably violates your agreement anyway).
The second plan is worth the extra $10; you can set the phone to 2G EDGE by default and reserve 3.5G HSPA for times when you really need it.
The Usage app is indispensable in preventing unexpected overages. It is included in Notifications pulldown, allowing for real time monitoring, so you can make sure it works.
    # Launch an app that uses data.
    # Pull down Notifications and watch Usage increase.
When using 2G EDGE, the icon in Status bar and Quick Access is E.
When using 3.5G HSPA, the icon is H.
