Whether is it possble that someone hacked my mac across network of my pc

helloo
It is my first question and my first trouble with my macbook pro.I'm new user of mbp, too. My PC(used windows xp)is infected with rootkit program,he and my laptop is conected on same network(same IP,modem, only two cable).whether is it possible to my macbook pro be infected. Also my msn and myspace profile are hacked............
THANK YOU

it is possible to mess up with your MSN and Social Network stuff, because that happens outside your mac and in the network of the specific for what you mention.
Regarding having your PC affected, that will not affect your Mac, but it could affect the connection that you are, for example filling up the bandwith of your network with "spam" and your mac could find it dificul to access your internet connection, or even having the internet connection slow, or very slow.
But regarding your mac, fell save
You can always download a free AntiVirus for mac and run a clean method

  • Is someone hacking my mac mail account?

I'm worried that might be happening. Recently several emails I sent have had as the return address a Richard Rockwood. I don't know anyone by that name and am worried someone might be hacking my account. I there any way to see if that's happening?

The most importantant one to change is the email account password, you would then have to update it in each device.  And don't let others play with your stuff

  • Can someone hack my iphone and send texts from my phone number?

Someone said they were getting texts from my phone number but I didn't send them.  Is that possible that someone hacked my iPhone and sent messages under my phone number?

No. If your phone is not jailbroken, they can not do so.
There are plenty of ways to spoof the caller ID string, though. It's illegal, but it can be done. The messages are not being sent from your phone. They are being sent from somewhere else by someone masquerading as you.

  • Did someone hack into my Mac?

I have been having problems with my trackpad. Sometimes it works well, but other times the pointer just moves around the screen for no apparent reason.
Is it possible that someone hacked into my Mac? Maybe through an email or facebook?

There are several possible causes for this issue. Take each of the following steps that you haven't already tried until it's resolved. Some may not be applicable.
    1. Follow the instructions in this support article, and also this one, if applicable. A damaged or defective AC adapter could be the cause, even if it's the right kind.
    2. Open the Bluetooth preference pane in System Preferences and delete all pointing devices other than the trackpad, if applicable. Disconnect any USB pointing devices. By a "pointing device," I mean a peripheral that moves the cursor in response to user input, such as a trackpad, mouse, trackball, or graphics tablet. A plain keyboard is not a pointing device.
    3. Boot in safe mode and test, preferably without launching any third-party applications. If you don't have the problem in safe mode, but it comes back when you reboot as usual, stop here and post your results. If you can't boot in safe mode, do the same. If you booted in safe mode and there was no change, go on to the next step.
    4. Reset the System Management Controller.
    5. If you're using a Bluetooth trackpad, investigate potential sources of interference, including USB 3 devices.
    6. A swollen battery in a portable computer can impinge on the trackpad from below and cause erratic behavior. If you have trouble clicking the trackpad, this is likely the reason. The battery must be replaced without delay.
    7. Press down all four corners of the trackpad at once and release. If there's any effect, it's likely to be temporary, and the unit needs to be serviced or replaced.
    8. There's a report that a (possibly defective) Thunderbolt Ethernet adapter can cause the built-in trackpad of a MacBook to  behave erratically. If you're using such an adapter, disconnect it and test.
    9. There's also a report of erratic cursor movements caused by an external display that was connected but not turned on.
    10. If none of the above applies, or if you have another reason to think that your computer is being remotely controlled, remove it from the network by turning off Wi-Fi (or your Wi-Fi access point), disconnecting from a Bluetooth network link, and unplugging the Ethernet cable or USB modem, whichever is applicable. If the cursor movements stop at once, you should suspect an intrusion.
    11. Make a "Genius" appointment at an Apple Store to have the machine and/or external trackpad tested.

  • Scared that someone may be able to hack my compute...

    Hello,
Someone I did not know called me today with the username WEBCAM, from the United States. I answered  with only the voice option, but I ended the call immediatelly and blocked the user (whose caller ID is: s246112).
I am scared that he may be able to hack my computer or already has stolen private informations from my computer.
If you can please help me understand what could the consequences be!

I'm almost sure there is no one that can hack a skype account or steal valuable account information by merely making a call to their target.
You can also block that user, change your password, then run a full antivirus scan using a fully updated antivirus software, if you feel those actions will make you feel more comfortable.

    Settings>general>resets>erase all content and settings.
That will put it back to its out of the box state. Set it up with your own apple Id.

What is the best antivirus software for a Macbook Pro...I recently received a message from Google that someone made an attempt to hack into my mail account and I needed to change my PW and verify myself as the user.  The message suggested that I run a virus scan to check for sny malware or other types of viruses.  I do not have any software for this and up until now have not had a problem....any help is appreciated.  I would like a simple but effective solution!

It's worth noting that if your Gmail has been hacked, it would likely have nothing to do with your MacBook.  Hacking web based email is fairly common and it doesn't require any access to your machine whatsoever.  In the same way that you can simply go to the Gmail webpage through any browser, any hacker can use the same method.  It doesn't mean your machine has been compromised in any way (and it has likely not been).  I have never received an email from Google of this nature.  I have received notifications when someone has attempted to create an account with my name in which they basically say that there is no action required if you're the rightful owner.

  • Is it possible for your iphone to be hacked so that someone can text message people in your contacts (and send pictures)? If so can you trace the hack and how can you stop it?

Is it possible for your iphone to be hacked?so that someone can text message people in your contacts (and send pictures)? If so can you trace the hack and how can you stop it?

As has been said, the iPhone itself can't be hacked this way, as far as anyone currently knows.
Your Apple ID is another story. Any kind of online accounts can be hacked, and Apple IDs are no exception. If someone hacks your Apple ID, they could see all the data in the associated iCloud account, such as contacts, and could send those contacts texts that would appear to come from you. If that were to happen, you should see an alert on your other devices that your Apple ID is being used with Messages on a new device.
If you have not seen that alert, it's unlikely that this problem is occurring due to such a hack. In that case, it would be more likely that either someone has gotten their hands on your phone, or some other Apple device registered to your Apple ID, and has used it to send that message. Or that the person claiming you sent a picture is lying for some reason.
If you believe your Apple ID may have been hacked, you should change your password immediately (at appleid.apple.com). You should also seriously consider enabling two-factor authentication on your Apple ID.

Is it possible for your iphone to be hacked so that someone can text message people in your contacts (and send pictures)? If so can you trace the hack and how can you stop it?

Ugh I am not doing any of those things.
I do have alot of issues with my email getting hacked often, could that have anything to do with it?
I also do not believe my phone is jailbroken but to be honest I am not very smart with this.
Basically text messages (inappropriate) were sent to a person in my contacts...and a text message conversation was had for about 30 that I had no idea was even going on. I noticed it on my ipad later (they are synced and normally recieve all the same messages etc). The conversation then just ended out of no where.
Very odd...and I am nervous that someone has control over my phone.

  • I noticed this morning that someone had accessed my calendar and put a letter in there, it was an obvious scam as it was from outside and asking for money, how will they have accessed it and is there a way of stopping it? I only use my macbook at home

As above it seems that someone has accessed my calendar
Not sure how this may have happened, have looked in my security settings and do note that the only program to share my calendar is google Chrome.
Any ideas how this may have been hacked?
I never take my macbook away from home and am rural so no driveby issues.
Its a bit concerning if this can happen

    SORTED IT!!!!
In calendar preferences it says share with and my share with was also set to gmail
the scammer send a message with a heading date and time and it popped up in my calendar - turned it off now so not hacked after all just clever on the part of the scammer!!

  • Someone hacked my account

How can I return my account

Can you please expand upon the course of events that led to you labelling your account as having been "hacked"? We need to be able to make sure it isn't just another of those cases where someone has, and I know this sounds unbelievable that someone would be so stupid but it happens, knowingly given their login details to someone else, either to Game Share or to "Gain Free Content", then missidentified the events that unfolded as "being hacked" after said person/people have then used the information they were willingly handed to change the login details.

  • How can I highlight a web address so that someone can simply click on it to go directly to the designated address?

When composing an email, how can I highlight a web address and convert it into a link such that someone can simply click on it to go to the designated address?

According to the help article ([[Hyperlinks in Messages Not Working]]), Thunderbird should convert the URL to a clickable link while it is sending the message. Can you confirm this by composing a message to yourself and seeing whether it works?
