Whether will be HTMLDB 1.6.2?

When, if will be? Or it is necessary to wait already at once version 2.0?

Nina - 1.6 and 10.2 will work. The install guide for 1.6 doesn't mention 10.2 because it was published 2 years ago.

  • How to set and static ip_address for a Suse Linux box

    Hi.
I've done the following to set an static ip address for my Suse 9 Linux box:
    - Take not of inet address value from ifconfig command. ie: (172.17.2.14)
    - Change this value in /etc/hosts for my linux box.
Since Suse is configure by default to use DHCP for assigning dinamic ip_addresses i'm not sure whether will lastly be set as a static address. I've rebooted my box and it seems to be OK.
    Thanks in advance ...!

/etc/hosts is not configuration file for ethernet interfaces.
Configuration files for ethernet interfaces are stored in /etc/sysconfig/network directory.
For example if you have eth0 device then configuretion for this device is stored in /etc/sysconfig/network/ifcfg-eth0 file.
    Important directives:
    DEVICE - interface (eth0)
IPADDR - IP address of interface
    NETMASK - netmask
BOOTPROTO - "static" for static configuration, dhcp for dynamic configuration via dhcp
ONBOOT - activating interface during boot (yes/no) (yes - of course :-) )
    GATEWAY - default gateway
So for example you want setup static IP (192.168.10.1 / 255.255.225.0) for eth0 interface.
Edit the /etc/sysconfig/network/ifcfg-eth0 file and your configuration should be:
    DEVICE=eth0
    IPADDR=192.168.10.1
    NETMASK=255.255.255.0
    BOOTPROTO=static
ONBOOT=yesThen you simply restart the nework using:
    /etc/init.d/network restartOR
    /sbin/ifdown eth0
    /sbinf/ifup eth0 OR
    ifconfig eth0 down
    ifconfig eth0 up

  • Service GOA  -Service line item in R/3 hasn't updated the gross price

    Hi all
I am new to SRM system,i had got a query in Service GOA.
Serice GOA created in SRM 5.0 and moved to R/3 4.7
In R/3 ME33K/32K, select the line item and goto
    Item-->services,here service masters are maintained.
Here i want to know how the gross price is populated.I am not sure whether will it pick up automatically or it has to be maintained manually in srm,so that it is creating a condition record on moving to R/3
In my case if i maintain 3 services, for one of the services gross price is 0
In the same screen i see conditions link at the bottom,on clicking it takes me to condition record screen which shows condition type PRS.this was maintained for package number and line item, maintained by RFC(automatic)
    how this PRS is maintained?
I also see in SPRO the shema is maintained for NB(PR and PO)
Can any one help me out in understanding this functinality.
    Thanks in advance
    Regards
    Ratha

    Hi Yann
Thanks for your reply. I am using 4.5b. I am able to create a service PO manually in R/3 with reference to the service PR created by EBP. Also, I think this issue is very close to SAP Note 509059 but it is for EBP Release 3 & 3.5 & I am unable to find the simillar note for EBP2. Please let me know how to proceed further...
    Thanks & Regards

  • Regarding - Tilde symbol in 'SELECT' Query

    Hi all,
Kindly tell me whether this type of Select query statement with where conition is correct, can we use it. Also tell me whether it will fetch correct data at any point of time.
    Types : BEGIN OF ty_sector ,
               sector     TYPE zpat003_sector-sector,
               END OF ty_sector.
    data : it_sector       TYPE TABLE OF ty_sector.
    SELECT sector
      FROM zpat003_sector
      INTO TABLE it_sector
      WHERE sectgrp = zpat003_sector~sectgrp
        AND subsect = zpat003_sector~subsect
        AND sector  = zpat003_sector~sector.
      IF sy-subrc IS INITIAL.
        SORT it_sector BY sector.
        DELETE ADJACENT DUPLICATES FROM it_sector.
    Note :
    1. I am filling this it_sector to use it for F4 purposes.
    2. This table 'zpat003_sector' contains all the sector details, sub-sector and    sector group details.
    3. I have used this where condition, to avoid the EPC warnings.
Kindly guide me on this, how for this statement is right.

    Hi all,
            Thanks all for your responses.
My aim is to fetch all the sector values from the table ZPAT003_SECTOR.
This i can achieve by just giving
    SELECT sector
      FROM zpat003_sector
      INTO TABLE it_sector.
If i give like this, i am getting getting warning message in code inspector, saying
Table ZPAT003_SECTOR : No where condition.
So, to avoid this warning message, i have given the where condition as
    WHERE sectgrp = zpat003_sector~sectgrp
        AND subsect = zpat003_sector~subsect
        AND sector  = zpat003_sector~sector.
or else we can use #EC to truncate warning message.
By using this 'where' condition i am able to truncate the warning message and able to get all the data in developement server, but i want to know, using the condition like this is acceptable and whether will it work all time.
So kindly guide me on this

  • Capturing data every 2 mins - Streams

I am using Oracle 11gR2 on RHEL
We are planning to configure streams from 11gR2 OLTP environment to the 11gR2 DW. This would be schema level replication.
Once the streams destination schema is populated with the data, we need to schedule the ETL processes to run every 2 minutes as we are dealing with real time reporting. The amount of data flow would be around 5000 records every minute.
So my question is if I need to look for the most recent data, should I be using a TIMESTAMP column in the source tables or does Streams have any inbuilt columns which I can query to get the most recent data(recent 2 minutes of data)?
I went through the Oracle Documentation which specifies that these attributes can be added using DBMS_CAPTURE_ADM.INCLUDE_EXTRA_ATTRIBUTE
    row_id (row LCRs only)
    serial#
    session#
    thread#
    tx_name
    username
But none of these are related to timestamp, so is that the source tables should be having the timestamp column if I need to query the recent 2 mins worth of data from destination schema?
I know CDC can be of help as I can create subscribers and can extend the window to retrieve the latest data but not sure how this can be accomplished with Streams ? Any thoughts?

Sorry, think so I was not clear. I am talking about destination tables here/
I don't have control over the source tables in the OLTP database as they already exist and they would hold data for few years.
DW is what I have control upon and the one's that I was talking about were the Streams destination tables in the DW database.
So what I was talking about is, the presentation layer would hold all the reporting data and if the Streams destination tables continue to grow, then my database size would double due to duplicate data in the reporting Schema and Streams schema.
The reason I wouldn't be able to purge the data in Streams tables(in DW database) is because the rows are not frozen, even after a year some rows might get updated, so if I purge them, I suppose Streams will complain and would throw errors.
In the case of CDC, since the DML activity is applied as inserts, updates and deletes at the destination tables, even if the change table at destination is truncated, I would still receive updates. For eg:
In CDC if there are 100 source in source table which have been replicated to destination then I would have 100 rows in destination tables with Operation I(I stands for Insert)
If I truncate the destination table rows, then obviously it would result in 0 rows in destination table.
Now if all the 100 rows in source table are updated, I would receive 200 rows in the destination table, 100 as UO(Update old value) and 100 as UN(update new value), so what I mean is CDC won't compain if I truncate the destination tables as part of purge operation for maintenance activities. So I can control the size of the table, I can keep it simple by purging the change table(destination table) every day.
In case of streams, whether will I be able to do similar purging operations(at destination side) even on rows which would be updated later ?
Let me know if I am clear.

  • Providing F4 help for a field

    Dear All,
We have a requirement like providing f4 help for the field Purchase Requisitioner (appears in Items tab of ME51N). I know that we can extend the existing search help by using search help exits but not sure whether will i be able to <b>create a new search help for a field in Std SAP Transaction.</b>
Any inputs on how to do this will be appreciated...
    Thank you all in advance,

You can add the INPUT help in an user exit provided.

  • Storage Replication

    Hi,
I have some doubt on storage replication link configuration.  we have two dc in different location and need to replicate entire data over a L3 MPLS link and we are using EMC Storage with RPA at both side.
Old DC is having 6509 in core/distribution and new DC is having N7k in core/distribution and we are planning to terminate L3 MPLS link on this core at both side.  RPA will be connected to Core Switches.
I did not configure this before dont have any idea whether will it work or  not and how do we connect RPA at both side over L3 link. Or do we required router must.
If anyone have this experience, please help me to established  this link.

Your storage vendor should have published a white paper on implementing storage replication for Oracle ASM environments.
Ask for such a white paper from the sales person.

  • Setting up a Voice call from ONT/OLT to Softswitch via SBC

                       Hi,
I am setting up a voice call over SBC to softswitch basically SIP over ISUP,now i have a small issue that my SIP user is getting registerd at both SBC and Softswitch and able make OG/IC calls.
Now my question is whether will i be able to ping the client ip from SBC,since i am not able ping the client ip.is there any firewall restriction at OLT/ONT side.

    Hi HW,
The PBX is a Panasonic TA308. There is no special interface to the PBX,  the  line port on the SPA3102 is simply plugged into an extension, like another phone. Anyone calling that extension will have the call routed through the SPA & PAP2 to the remote phone.
The whole setup is totally seamless, & transparent to the user. As we are on a local network there is virtually no latency. There is a slight tendancy to echo,  but the echo suppression mostly takes care of that.
THis has been a good exercise, and once I got my head around what I was trying to do, with your help,  it was pretty easy.  I think the hook flash timing would be the thing which gives most users a problem, as it seems to vary widely around the world. I was surprised at the difference between the US and NZ (.1 & .9 to .07 & .13).  There didn't seem to be any other critical differences.
Now I am the local expert on VoIP   "In the Kingdom of the blind, the one-eyed man is King."
