Which 24" to 27" graphics Monitor?

I am purchasing a new MacPro 2.8. I use Adobe Illustrator CS5 and Adobe Elements to make Fishing and Diving charts printed on sheetfed presses. I am looking for a 24" to 27", 16:10 aspect ratio monitor for this new system and cannot deal with the glossy screens. Best Choices?

Hi,
It's a shame that you must have 16:10 aspect ratio, otherwise the NEC PA271W 27" display would have been ideal for you, but, unfortunately it is 16:9.
If you can accommodate a larger screen, then, based upon personal experience, I can thoroughly recommend the NEC LCD3090WQXi 30" display, which does have an aspect ratio 16:10.
Both the 27" and 30" displays are rotatable:

  • Which components need to be monitored for a productive BO Enterprise XI 3.1

    Dear colleagues,
we will start soon with a productive BO Enterprise XI 3.1 system. We do not have detailed information which components need to be monitored in a productive system. Is there any experience or are there documents available which give a hint? Many thanks in advance for help.
    Best regards,
           Detlef Kreiss (HP Outsourcing services)

For services, you need to monitor the Server Intelligence Agent (SIA) and Tomcat (if you're deploying on Java.)  Unlike the pre-3.0 versions of XI, these are the only two processes that run as services.  Everything else is managed by the SIA.
Other than that you need to go to the Central Management Console (CMC) and monitor CMS, File Repository Servers, and whatever other components that you use (Crystal, WebI, etc.)
If you're using WebI and installing the base version of 3.1 without any fix packs or without SP2, you'll need to monitor the Web Intelligence Processing Server processes - there is an issue that will cause them to hang.  You can tell they're hung if they're either stopped in the CMC and wont start or if they're in "Starting" status but they never actually start.  The work-around is to stop them in the CMC then go to Task Manager on the report server and stop all of the "webiprocessingserver" processes, then start them again in the CMC.

It seems after updating working hours you need to reschedule orders and also please confirm is order released before updating work hours as it may have impact on scheduling.

  • Oracle Graphical monitoring CPU

Oracle Version: Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.2.0.5.0 - 64bit
    O.S. : 64-bit Windows
    Hi,
I'm monitoring the Oracle database by checking the performance from 17 APR to 19 APR.
I used AWR and ADDM (txt format).
Now I need to make the graphics CPU from 17 APR to 19 APR, but do not know any way to create these charts.
Is there a graphical free tool or other self-diagnostic software or ADDM in html format to generate these graphs?
    What steps should I perform?
    Thanks in advance!

    Hi,
What i do is run the below sql and then chart it using pivot in excel. You need to give the begin snap id and end snap id which you can get from dba_hist_snapshot .
    set verify off
    set feedback off
    set timing off time off
    set termout off
    set markup html on
    DEFINE DT=""
    column dt new_value dt
    select to_char(sysdate,'DDMONYY_HH24MISS') DT from dual;
    set timing on
    spool cpu_&DT..xls
    select to_char(begin_time, 'yyyy/mm/dd') s_day,
         to_char(begin_time, 'hh24:mi') s_min,
           round(average,2) avgval,
           round(maxval,2) maxval
      From DBA_HIST_SYSMETRIC_SUMMARY
    where metric_name='Host CPU Utilization (%)'
       and snap_id between &1 and &2 order by 1,2;
    set markup html off
    spool off

    set termout on

  • Which 27" iMac for graphic design?

Hi, I'm making the switch from pc to Mac. Firstly, I hope I'm asking this in the correct section of the forum, if not could you please suggest the best category for me.
I'm a long time PC user. I am also a graphic design student (and I do a fair amount of work as well). I work all day and often nights on the computer. I mainly use Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign. I'll be learning, or at least dabbling, in most of the Adobe creative suite over the next couple of years, however those 3 are the main programs I use.
I often run at least 2 programs at the same time (ie illustrator and indesign).
I was going to get a MacBook pro, but as I never travel for work (at this stage) and I'd need to buy a larger screen anyway, I decided to go with the iMac. (Mac pro is too expensive for me at this stage)
I'm hoping to get suggestions on which iMac to go with. I'm definitely getting the 27", but I don't know which model to get, or what upgrades if any, I would need.
Keeping in mind that I'm a student, and part time worker. I can afford the i7 model (at a stretch) but would I still need to upgrade anything on top of that?
    I appreciate any advice.

I'm running CS5 on both a Mac (quad core duo2, 4GB RAM) and a PC core duo2 with 6GB of RAM.
I hate to say it but PS runs much smother on my PC. So if anything can be learned from that: RAM is much more important than the processor.

  • Which USB to DVI graphics card adapter for MBP 13

After talking with Apple reps who had different answers, I understand that to do a second external display on a MBP 13, the only option is a USB to DVI adapter that basically has a graphics processor in it. My question is, does anyone know which brand is decent?  The reviews are all over the place.  I realize that you can't do video, but this is just for basic office work so I can connect my two Samsung 1920 X 1080 24" screens.

I would go with OWC, they have been in the Mac business a long time and are reputable.
    Here is there USB-to-DVI adapter.

  • Which is the best graphics card i can buy that is compatible with Mega PC 651?

I have had my Mega PC for 2 and half years, I had a MSI FX 5600, but unfortunately blew it 18 months ago by flashing the BIOS, I would now like to buy a new card but am unsure as to which one's are compatible with my motherboard, could anyone please help me with this, the graphics card will be used for gaming...SiS M650 i think this is my motherboard...

    Quote
I was advised to upgrade graphics card. Will the 6600GT work for me too? Or are there any new cards in the market? I'm mainly using my pc to watch football over the internet or watching some you-tube clips which become hazy/blurred when expanded to full screen view.
Sorry, but in your case, a new graphics card won't make a blind bit of difference here. The clips become hazy/blurred (or blocky) because they are low resolution video files, which will naturally look awful when blown up to your full-screen resolution.

  • Which is a better graphics card to have in an imac?

ATI Radeon HD 4670 256MB or NVIDIA GeForce GT 130 512MB??
dont know weather to go the 27" route with the ati card or go for a 24" with the 512 card?
Going to be using all the adobe applications, and want to start experimenting with after effects a bit more. I can only afford one of these two machines, so please advise on which of these two options would be better.
    Cheers

I would go with the 27". You will have more real estate to work with and that card will do everything you need it to do in your line of work.

  • How SCOM Agent will get degraded which is installed on the monitored server while reverting Back from CU6 to CU3 of SCOM 2012 SP1?

    Hi,
I have SCOM 2012 SP1 (CU3) inatalled on base server 2012 Standard which is a VM.
Now I am planning to Go for CU6 and thinking to take snapshot of complete  SCOM server instead of taking Data Base Backup. Which should I prefer?
If i am going for the Snapshot for complete SCOM server and run the CU6 complete setup. And some thing went wrong and not able to fix the issue.
And I need to reverted back to CU3 using Snspshot.
Now, how can I revert the Agent Version to CU3 level which is already upgraded to CU6?
    Thanks
    Amit Raj

    Hi,
all agents with CU6 will be work fine with SCOM CU6.
But if you decide back to the CU3 you need to backup your OPsDB and DWH (if CU6 contains sql scripts).
In regard agents you can use repair from OPsMGR console.

  • Overriding default Graphics/Monitor settings

    Hey folks,
I was wondering if there was a file somewhere that spesifies the resolution during startup. Basicly, I would like my monitor to run at 75Hz as opposed to 60Hz (I know my monitor supports it, but 60Hz is the highest Mac OS X will allow me to go to). Or, if anyone knows of a program that will allow you to manually choose your resolution/refresh rate that would be equally as good!
    Thanks!

If it were me, I'd save the $60 and get the 2.3GHz one.  Its only 4% slower in the specs and will be hardly noticeable  in use.  The only advantage to the newer one is the Haswell processor which might (note that it is only a might) give a little better battery life with a trade-off of 15% in raw performance.

Otherwise I would have said a GTX 570 or above such as 670. As you see from one thread you need to realize that there are only two 6-pin connectors that limit what you can do or you get into a 450W PSU add-on and trouble with cables (such as using the 2nd optical drive bay).
