Which 3G iPad 2 is better, Verizon or ATT?

I am going to buy a 3G iPad 2 and I would like some advice on whether ATT or Verizon has better service. I have iphones on both ATT and Verizon and one is not really any better than the other.

Then, you won't see an appreciable difference between the iPads. If you ever plan to travel overseas and want local 3G (as opposed to roaming 3G), the AT&T version has a Sim card which you can replace with a local Sim card.

The 3/4G iPads are Verizon or ATT. You choose which one you want when you buy the iPad. It can't be changed.

I guess it depends if the purchaser wanted a CDMA or GSM iPad. The GSM model would not be worth anything to a Verizon customer and the CDMA model would not be worth anything to an AT&T customer.

You'll have to think in terms of a shell rather than just a cover. Main problems are dropping and liquid getting inside. Plus a shell can add a bit of extra heft and "grippability", aiding little hands in holding on the slippery aluminum back. Can add some sort of screen protector to prevent scratches, though that will reduce sensitivity to an extent; however, a direct blow will inevitably shatter the Gorilla Glass.
That being said, I am very happy with the Lifeproof Nüüd case that has protected mine from the get-go. Decided to forego screen protectors in lieu of better touch performance; almost 2 years down the road the screen is still scratch free.

How to transfer ownership of ipad 2 on verizon

I am trying to transfer teh ownership of ipad2 on verizon network. I have never registered my ipad onto the verizon network. The new owner is trying to register the ipad and it keeps telling him that it is registered to me. According to verizon they have no information about it connected to my account. I purchased it through Bestbuy and they told me to call apple. I called apple and the customer service agent told me it was a verizon problem. I tried to explain to her that verizon told me to call apple. I also informed her of the multiple messages on this site regarding the same issue. She told me to go to an apple store. I told her the closest store is over 2 1/2 hours away. She screamed back, "Go to and apple store" and then hung up on me. I am calling back but have been on hold now for 10 minutes. Anyone ever figure out how to transfer ownership of their ipad2 on the verizon network? I have already reset the pad entirely - twice. Verizon has no record of me ever registering the device to use on their network. apple in fact has no record of me registering my device with them. i never registered it with anyone yet it is registered and cannot be transferred.

I never registered it on the Verizon network, which is why they have no record of me in their system. It wax APPLE customer service that told me to go to an apple store, and then hung up on me! Apple is the one that needs to erase the registration somehow as Verizon has no record of me to even erase.
I have found several other similar issues of this on here and none have been resolved. Anyone with an answer?

Which do you like better....Printer Pro or Print n Share Pro?

Which do you like better for your iPad...."Printer Pro" or "Print n Share Pro"? I'm sort of agonizing over this. They both look good, but maybe one has better support? I will appreciate any opinions I can get.

from personal experience print n share pro is my choice
also depends what you want from the app? i use it on my ipad to email stuff and print it, as well as print from google chrome which i have installed and also some of my photos i print, as i like to make collages from them or use them for reference etc
its brilliant for email as i find the standard Mail so frustrating to use
from what i recall the developers are eurosmartz - i think they have a website so check them out, not sure can post links here

Traveling to Caribbean IPAD 2, 3G Verizon

I have the ipad 2 3G (Verizon). Will the ipad work in the Caribbean and is there anything I need to know ahead of time in order to allow it to work when I am there? I just don't want to have to pay roaming charges or find out when I get there that it doesn't work. HELP! Thank you!

If it does work there via a cellular network connection, more than likely it will involve international roaming which won't be free.
Contact Verizon direct about this, which is probably available via their website.

IPad 2 Wifi + Verizon 3G - Can't Activate 3G

I bought the iPad 2 with Verizon's 3G service in early June and haven't needed to activate the 3G data service until now. I don't have an existing account with Verizon, so I was planning on using pre-paid service. For some reason, I cannot activate the 3G service.
When I go to Settings - Cellular Data - View Account with WiFi off (and there is ample 3G service as indicated in the upper lefthand corner of the screen) a box pops up that says "Connection Failed. The connection to the server was lost. Please try again later."
When I go to Settings - Cellular Data - View Account with Wifi on, a typical login screen appears as if I have already signed up for service. There is no way to create a new account. From what I read online, a different screen should appear that asks me to provide my email address and create a password; from there I would select which pre-paid plan I want.
Has anyone experienced this? Is there a chance that I could have one of the iPad 2s with duplicate MEIDs? I read online that they started recalling some the Monday after I bought mine.

I'm having the exact same problem, except I already have an account but with expired data package. I've been trying to add a new data package for the past two days, but I cannot connect at all and get the same message as you. Verizon CS was not able to help whatsoever, though she was able to pull up my account information. I've reset network settings, cleared all settings ... even restored my ipad. Nothing is working.

IPad 2 -- will Verizon have an activation fee each time the data package is started?

I have an AT&T iPhone. Now with the iPad 2 coming out Friday, I was intending on getting the Verizon 3G version of the iPad 2. However, it is clear that AT&T's data plan is superior since there is no activation fee and the data package can be turned on and off at will. I also was going to go with the Verizon iPad 2 because Verizon's coverage through the Siskyou Mountains between Eugene OR and Redding CA is considerably better than AT&T on the I-5 corridor.
I signed up for Verizon emails about a week ago and have yet to receive a single email regarding their intentions for the iPad 2 costs. So we are certainly in the dark.
I'll line up at the Apple Store on Friday. If Verizon has an activation fee for the data package, I'll get the AT&T iPad 2. If not, then I'll get the Verizon iPad 2.

Not only is their website vague, their employees have no clue about the activation fee either. I called yesterday and the guy I talked with told me that yes, there would be a $35 activation fee every time you signed up if you remained inactive for 3 months or more. He also said that AT&T has a $36 activation. (ovbiously that is wrong.) So I called back today and the woman said that there would be a $35 activation fee PLUS there would be a $15 suspension fee every time I de-activated. I repeated several times that this is JUST for the IPad and only the 3g service. I asked to be transferred to another associate who told me exactly the same thing. So I asked that associate if she could check her computer and tell me exactly what it said about IPad service. What she said was that if you pre-pay with a credit or debit card, there would be no activation fee. Now THAT's more like it. Just to be safe, though, I called my local Verizon store. The woman there also thought that there was an activation fee so I told her what the last lady had said. She searched and searched - she even told me that her computer showed there was a $25 activation fee for pre-paid. She was very nice, though, and took my name and number and is looking into the matter and will call me back. I will post again once I hear from her. I hope someone at Verizon monitors these posts and will get accurate info out to their associates!

You need to remember that these forums are like an emergency room. All the gazillions of well people don't visit the ER. Only sick people.
Same thing for this forum. Some people had problems activating their iPad 2 with Verizon. Most didn't and certainly wouldn't post here.
I would not use this as a consideration in which iPad to buy. Rather I would consider whether I might be traveling outside the US with the iPad 2. If you are, then you most certainly need the AT&T (GSM) version if you want to be able to access data without using WiFi. The Verizon iPad has no SIM card, and the technology it uses is pretty much limited to the USA.

I got a dilemma which one of Macbooks I could get and which one would be the best to me. I'm starting college in September and I'm gonna study engineering, therefore I will be using engineering software such as Solidworks, Pro Engineer and many more, also Photoshop. So as you can see I need fast and solid equipment and plenty of power both graphics and processor. And one more matter which OS would be the best some iOS or Windows?

Well you kind of answered your own question. If you will be doing hardware intensive tasks then MacBook Pro is way to go. Don't even think about MacBook Air. A better question for you would be to ask yourself is'is laptop sufficient enough' or do I need power of a desktop. I am not familiar with those application so I do t know what their requirements are.
as far as OS is concerned, if you need you can install windows on a mac, and can't do it other way around. (Mac on windows, legally at least). As far as iOS goes well that certainly won't do the trick because ios is a system which powers iPads and iPhones not macs. Unless iPad will be good enough for your needs.
