Which account is used to failover to passive node of Windows 2008 R2 2-node cluster?

When I set up drive letter for shared drives in Windows 2008 R2 2-node cluster, I accidentally used a drive letter which has already mapped automatically due to the login I used. After I run the cluster validation tests, all the drive letters
for shared drives are changed. I fixed this issue by disconnecting the automatic mapped drive and reassigned all the drive letters.
However, I wonder whether CNO is used to perform the failover so such issue will not occur actually. Also, what happen if someone is logged on the passive node when the failover occur and any of the drive letters assigned for the shared drives
is already mapped due to that person's login.

Let me clarify my question. For example, there are clustered drives W:, M:, and L:. Active Directory Group Policy has policy for some users to have mapped drive M:.
What will happen if failover occurs when one of the users having that policy is still logged on the passive node?
What will happen if failover occurs but that user has already logged off the passive node?
AKAIK, mapped drives are tied to the current logon user not for all users.
I don't know which account is actually used for the failover process. CNO, VNO, the domain user account used to create the windows cluster, or ?

Check you accounts in Mail and make sure each account has the correct outgoing server address. Check the box to use only that server.
Second, go to the gmail website and in settings under the account tab, make sure you have the correct settings for replying to messages.

Which account was used to purchase apps

I need to re-download a few apps. I've used two accounts to purhcase apps in the past. To avoid using the wrong account and being charged, I'd like to figure out before-hand which account was used to purchase an app. Any way to do this? Appreciate it.

You have not completed the process of setting up a new Mac. You need to open the Mac App Store (MAS), sign into your account, go to the Purchased pane and you should find the three free ilife apps listed with an accept button. After you accept them into your Apple ID you can update them.

Multiple accounts in Contacts--how to determine which account is used?

My iPhone is linked to my Gmail account and to my work Outlook Exchange account.
How can I move contacts from one to the other, and, also, select which account I'm using when I create a new contact?

I will trust your judgment on not being able to move contacts to another group once they are created.
But how can I choose which account they belong to when creating a contact?
Example:
My sister-in-law sent a text message to my wife and I, and since I didn't recognize the number, but know it's her, I used the "Create as new contact" feature in the iPhone to add her to my contacts.
Today, I notice she is in my work contacts on the Exchange server. Not where she belongs, and if I ever change jobs, I don't want to lose her record, so I wanted to select "Gmail Contacts" for her when creating the new record, but I don't see how to do it.
Please let me know if it's there somewhere and I am missing it?

Which Account to Use for Family Sharing?

After reading the issues of being locked out, I am a bit apprehensive to set up the account.
Here's my scenario:
Husband & Wife accounts want family sharing
Husband as owner - using @me.com Apple ID AND @gmail.com iTunes account (or in settings 'Family Purchases')
Wife also has identical setup where iCloud apps are run by an @me.com Apple ID and all iTunes purchases have been made through a @gmail.com account.
Question: Which account does the Husband invite the wife to family sharing? The @me.com Apple ID or the @gmail.com?

The Apple ID is his iTunes account. The @me.com is his iCloud account which is connected to his Apple ID/iTune account. Using anyone should suffice.
In any case, if you want to be safe, Use his Apple ID account.

HT201320 Is there a way to have the Compose email button ask which account to use?

This may be a feature request, more than a question, as I'm fairly certain that it's not possible (currently).
I have multiple email accounts set up on my iOS devices (work and personal). I have my defaults set for Contacts and Mail account, but still find it frustrating that I occassionally send personal email from my work account, or if I flip the defaults the other way, I send work contacts email from my personal account--which is worse, because then future work emails from those individuals often ends up going to my personal account due to their mail client auto-completing an address, and I miss work messages since I'm not monitoring my personal mail as often as work email during the day.
So... I would love to see a Mail Settings feature that is simply an On/Off switch for "Ask which mail account to use on Compose". If I hit compose, and I saw a screen saying "pick from your mail accounts" before I got to the compose window, this would automatically fix itself.
ALSO, smart account management would be cool. If the mail client detected that most or all of my recipients were from mycompanydomain.com, yet my email send account was set to something other than mycompanydomain.com, it would be great if the Mail app would ask "Would you prefer to send this with your mycompanydomain.com account" after I hit the send button.

What version of Informix do I use for QM 8.5.1 and windows 2008

I am building a Quality Manager server 8.5.1. The install document states that I should install IBM Informix Client Software Development Kit 3.0.0. I am installing QM on Windows Server 2008 so I don't think 3.0.0 is correct. From what I can see I should use version 3.50.tc6 is this correct?

I think that is a mistake. I have installed QM 8.5(1) without installing the Informix and it worked OK.
The 8.5(2) install guide does not say to install Informix.
The current informix driver is 3.70FC2 for 64 bit windows and 3.70TC1 for 32 bit windows. When Cisco install the UCCX historical reporting client that automatically installs the 3.0.0 client.

How can I find out which iTunes account was used to make a purchase?

Without really understanding how iTunes and Apple IDs worked, I created a US iTunes account on my MacBook Air as some of the content I wanted wasn't available in the Australian iTunes store. So I had two iTunes accounts on the one device and I just switched between one account and the other. But eventually I ran into problems with the whole 35 Day and 90 Day restrictions when trying to change between one and the other. So now I'm going to use two separate devices to manage the two accounts, but I want to be able to remove everything I bought from the US iTunes account from my MacBook Air and keep only the stuff I bought from the Australian store. Is it possible to find out which account was used to buy a particular song/video/TV programme?

Select the tune and then - Get Info - in the dialog box is a note of the Apple ID used to purchase.

Which BO-account is used when refreshing a metric?

I have made a metric with BO-application dashboard manager. The metric is stored in table ci_probe and when I execute the stored excutable sql I get data back.
Now I want to load the data in the performance management database when refreshing a metric.
I don't get any data in the tabel ci_probe_value.
I made a trace with SQL-profiler to see if my account reaches the database. It doesn't.
I have changed the DBUSER field for my account and the Administrator and the PMUser account. They all have the same value and this account has sysadm rights on the database.
It didn't help.
When I refresh a metric which account is used the read the data from the database.

Hi Joek,
PMUser is used mainly for the DM & PM system to access resources.
When it comes to data, the connection used in the universe is used to access the database. If you can create a webi report using your universe in question you should be able to see if you get back data or not.
I think your problem could also maybe be with the definition of the metric in the universe. Test it by simply just droping the metric into webi and check the SQL that is generated.
Check the BEGIN_DATE and END_DATE of the @prompt (or sometimes BEGIN_DT and END_DT) syntax.

I lost my iphone 1 month back. I have been logging on icloud and have been checking Find My iphone regularly. So far the person who took the phone connected on Internet once. When that happened I got an email...but no GPS locations as such. No, it is not possible.
Report the device lost/stolen to law enforcement and move on with your life.
FYI, if they have signed in with a new Apple ID or restored it and then signed in with a new Apple ID it will never show on "Find My iPhone" when signed in with any other Apple ID.
Apple does not track lost/stolen devices.

Windows 2008 Cluster question on using a new cluster drive source from shrinking existing disk

I have a two node Windows 2008 R2 enterprise SP1 cluster. It has a basic cluster setup of one (Q:)quorum disk and data disk (E:) which is 2.7tb is size. This cluster is connected to a shared Dell Disk array.
My question is can I safely shrink the 2.7tb drive down and carve out a disk size of 500gb from the same disk and use for a new cluster disk resource. We want to install Globalscape SFTP software on this new disk for use as a cluster resource.
Will this work without crashing the cluster.

I need to know if the MS SQL Server 2008 R2 Enterprise Edition license delivered by SAP include the rights to use the Failover Clusters Feature of MS Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise Edition for the DB Instance. And if so, how many nodes would be covered as such.

HT204053 How can I remove an apple Id ( hotmail address)which is being used in the app store and iTunes but is actually a blocked account and use a current live account which is now set for mail etc ?

I have 2 apple iDs ( hotmail accounts) one of which was set up some time ago and not used for awhile in which time it has become blocked. This Id is set up in iTunes and the app store. It is linked to an old email address which is no longer used which means I can't retrieve a code to reactivate. What I want to do is remove this inactive hotmail account and use the other for all access with iTunes, app store, iCloud,mail etc. without losing all apps and credits. Can this be achieved ? My daughter needs the iPad at school and at the moment can't use iCloud and mail and I am scared to add more iTunes credit when there is a problem with this account... I am desperate and have tried everything I know, thanks

Welcome to the Apple community.
iTunes and iCloud and different accounts, you will need to delete both accounts from your device before adding the new details in their place.
For iCloud go to settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit the delete button. You can then sign back in using your correct details. For iTunes go to settings >store, tap your account ID and then sign out, you can then sign back in using your correct Apple ID.
