Which Adaptor?

Hello,
I'm going to purchase a new Mac mini ...and already own an old 'Apple Cinema Display'
( DVI-D / Apple Cinema Display - A1081 /  M9177LL/A / 20", matte, LCD, 1680 × 1050 )
What adaptor do I need - to attach the display to the Mac Mini?
Which, if there are multiple options... is the least expensive?
With many thanks in advance,
MiL

Thank you Lllaass,
I appreciate your response and time in replying.
...But if I don't have any FireWire devices, that I need to plug into the display... I should be fine just letting them dangle?

  • Which Adaptor is appropriate please suggest

    Hi All,
    I have the following scenario and want your suggestions:
    A web based applicaiton (say A) to create customer need to integrate with another web based applicaiton (say B) which uses the customer details to display of Applicaiton A... wondering do I need to go for SOAP adaptor/HTTP adaptor or do I need to integrate these two applicaitons at data base level using JDBC adaptor?
    What are the steps/any documentation to get the data from web site to SAP PI when User clicks submit button?
    Please suggest.
    Thanks
    Rajeev

    >>> but my questtion is what needs to be done at Applicaiton A side to create Input and post the data in the SAP PI URL... As they are using the web client provided by the Application provider..Do they have to write code at the submit button of the web page? If so they have to customnise the code delivered by the provider? How it works.. Its been first time going through this...
    Yes, if you create webservice by creating soap sender and give WSDL, then they will have to write webservice client program in java or any language to access your webservice. This program will be called in their side at the time of hitting submit button of the web page.
    For this you have to go through soap sender sdn documents.
    or  As I already mentioned, create HTTP sender and provide your payload structure and url as we discussed in the above replies. A has to create coding to post HTTP using the url during submit hit button on their web page.
    >>Do they pass all the values in the URL or to the URL?
    This is client A's problem. Why do you worry?  There are plenty of documents to do http post.. The below coding is simple snippet..
    Search google for plenty of documents...
    try {
        // Construct data
        String data = URLEncoder.encode("key1", "UTF-8") + "=" + URLEncoder.encode("value1", "UTF-8");
        data += "&" + URLEncoder.encode("key2", "UTF-8") + "=" + URLEncoder.encode("value2", "UTF-8");
        // Send data
        URL url = new URL("http://hostname:80/cgi");
        URLConnection conn = url.openConnection();
        conn.setDoOutput(true);
        OutputStreamWriter wr = new OutputStreamWriter(conn.getOutputStream());
        wr.write(data);
        wr.flush();
        // Get the response
        BufferedReader rd = new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader(conn.getInputStream()));
        String line;
        while ((line = rd.readLine()) != null) {
            // Process line...
        wr.close();
        rd.close();
    } catch (Exception e) {
    >>Is it possible to use SOAP adaptor instead of HTTP adaptor? so that I can use AAE in the entire scenario. Applicaiton A is a web client interface through which Customers are created.If I need to use HTTP Adaptor, do I need to create HTTP Sender Adaptor and sender Aggrement ?
    Yes, if you host webservice using soap sender adaptor. Already answered above ...
    >> If I need to use HTTP Adaptor, do I need to create HTTP Sender Adaptor and sender Aggrement ?
    no. Http adaptor is in abap stack. so you dont need sender agreement.

  • Which Adaptors/Cords do I need to hook my  mid-2010 Macbook Pro into my new HDTV?

    I heard they changed the port (to include audio as well as video) after my model and I want to make sure I order the right adaptors so I can hook my macbook into my new HDTVs HDMI port.
    Can someone point me in the right direction?
    Thanks,
    Jake

    I don't know that it will carry audio on a mid-2010, but for less than $7 you can try this adapter from Monoprice.
    Worked great on my late 2011. Should work for you.

  • WHICH ADAPTOR DO YOU USE FOR THE TV OUT OPTION TO VIEW IPHONE ON YOUR TV?

    I know that the Sept update includes a TV out option on the Ipod section of the Iphone but what connector/adaptor is used for this function? Please advise. Thanks so much for any input on this mattter!

    Yes and just to complete this you can also buy the Universal dock (the new one) that comes with a remote control -- the composite/component cable plugs into this dock so you can just slip your iPhone into it and watch TV (much easier than plugging/unplugging the cable at the bottom of the phone, and the remote is very sweet).
    Only drawback is that both the cable and the dock cost $50 a piece, so you're looking at around $100 for a TV solution. Still, I have two of them (one component and one composite) and the picture (with 640 resolution) is excellent on both my big screen (38") sets -- the equal of a DVD.

  • Which VGA adaptor for my Intel Core 2 Duo iMac?

    Hi folks... new to this forum. I'm looking to hook up my 20" iMac to a 2nd monitor (it’s a 20” Samsung VGA).
    I’m very confused... So far, I've bought 2 different adaptors (neither of which fit the iMac):
    Apple Mini DVI to VGA Adapter (which is listed as ”suitable for iMac Intel Core Duo”)
    http://store.apple.com/ie/product/M9320G/A?fnode=MTY1NDA5OQ&mco=MjE0NTg3Ng
    Apple Mini VGA to VGA adaptor (which is listed as "suitable for iMac flat screen")
    http://store.apple.com/ie/product/M8639G/A?fnode=MTY1NDA5OQ&mco=MjE0NTg4Mg
    Can anybody enlighten me which adaptor I need?... my iMac is a 20” iMac Core 2 Duo & I bought it new in April 2008.
    Thanks!

    Perhaps is was packaged or repackaged incorrectly, because that is the correct adapter part # for the Intel iMac's including the Early 2008 model.

  • Safe to buy AC adaptors from Ebay for Satellite M105-s3041?

    Hi,
    I have just lost my ac-power adaptor for my Satellite M105-s3041 computer.
    I want to get a replacement but I bought my computer in the US and am not sure a replacement would have a UK 3-pin plug.
    Also similarly to another guy on here I wonder if it is safe to byuy adaptors from e-bay as I don't want to shell out so much money for a replacement adaptor.
    Do any of you have experience with 2-bay replacements?
    I also don't know which adaptor would be correct for my model,
    Hope you can help,
    Chris

    For me it looks like the Satellite M105-s3041 is a US notebook series.
    I checked the Toshiba US page and found this page:
    [Satellite M105-S3041 Detailed Product Specification|http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/su/su_sc_outFrm.jsp?moid=1364114&rpn=PSMA0U&ct=DS&soi d=1420312]
    You need a 15V - 5A AC Adapter with 50-60Hz frequency (Universal) input.
    The PA2521U-2ACA Toshiba 90W Global AC Adapter would be compatible also...
    You are asking if its safe to use an AC adaptor from Ebay;
    Well, usually you should use the compatible and supported parts.
    But I think you could also use another part but its important that an 3rd party AC adaptor would support the same specification like the Toshiba AC adaptor.
    Then everything should work ok

  • How can I connect my 24" cinema display to a mac book pro retina HDMI output?

    Hi folks,
    I would like to have a macbook pro retina running three external displays (this is technically feasable):
    2 times a 27" Cinema displays through thunderbold ones (connecting them to the Thunderbold output, daysy chaining them)
    1 time a 24" Cinema display through mini display port (connecting it to the HDMI output as the resolution matches on both ends 1920 x 1200)
    Any idea which adaptor I would need as most of them are only working one way (the wrong way!..)?
    Thanks for you numerous inputs ;-)

  • How do I set up my emails to show in notification center?

    How do I get my emails to show in my notification center? Also, how do you get your emails to go to Trash not archive?

    Which adaptor? What kind of LCD?
    Normally, all you have to do is attach the appropriate cable to your laptop, connect it to your other monitor/screen, and make sure the monitor is powered, turned on, and has the correct input (if it has multiple inputs). For example, a monitor might have DVI and VGA, and an "input switcher" to select which one you want.

  • How do I set up my iPhone to show message alerts on my locked screen only for messages sent by my contacts?

    iPhone now is able to show you messages received even though the screen is locked. This is time efficient. But I do not want to see messages on the locked screen from people who are not in my contacts list. I tried going to settings>notifications>messages> but only saw view in lock screen for all messages. Is there a way to see messages on the locked screen from people only in my contact list? I appreciate it.

  • Video adapters to HDMI TV

    I'm technically inept, so bear with my less than technically phrased question. I am trying to figure out which adaptor to buy to link my MacBook (2010) to my TV screen. The TV is a Samsung DV3 HD Ready 1080 P, product model LE32A558P3FXXC. The Apple store recommended the iWires Mini Display Port to HDMI Cable (in a green and white box). I plugged the adapter into the HDMI IN 1 node on the back of TV, and into the Macbook. The screen on the TV came on in a screen saver mode, but I couldn't seem to get any video to play. Am I missing something (do I have to enable the adaptor for instance) or do I have the wrong adaptor? Any advice appreciated!

    You need to use your TV remote to change the input from your cable to the HDMI port you are using on the back of the TV. On the computer once the link with the TV is active you need to open Display prefs and select the Mirrored mode so the TV and the computer will have the same image. Be sure you do not set the computer's display resolution beyond what the TV can display. For 1080P this is 1680 x 1080.
    For additional help select Mac Help from the Finder's Help menu and search for "connect to TV hdmi." You will find several useful articles listed.

  • I want to check XI setting in my existing sever

    Hi Guru's
    I want to check XI setting in my existing sever , as i m new in xi.
    I want to know abt SLD , adaptor and alert setting etc
    plz  help me
    Thanks in advance
    Edited by: sandeep gautam on Dec 26, 2007 7:47 AM

    Hi,
    The SLD basically has two main area of content:
    1. Software Catalog: From the main screen of SLD,choose software catalog.You can view the installed products or software component
    2. System Catalog : You can choose Techinical Landscape for viewing the technical systems & business systems for logical systems.
    You can check the SLD connection via SLDCHECK (For example check that business systems can be read correctly from the SLD).
    For Adaptors,there are many kinds of adaptors.Which adaptor configuration do you want to know?In case you want to know which adapter engine is available you can
    1. Log on to the SLD
    2. Navigate to the Technical Landscape area & list the technical systems belonging to XI
    3. Check the adapter engine of type XI AdapterFramework.
    Alert Framework is basically used with BPM. Many time the alerts are configured as process steps in BPM. You can check the alerts which have been generated via SXMB_MONI in a BPM. Not sure what kind of setting parameter you want to know.
