Which API can use to save PDF document with Adobe Reader 9?

Hello,
which API can use to save PDF document with Adobe Reader 9? It is said that "CosDocSaveWithParams" can't be used.

Unless the PDF file is "READER ENABLED for SAVE" (see the adobe product pages on LiveCycle Reader extensions server)
You are not able to call a Save at all, if the document is reader enabled then you need to use the JavaScript call to save the document,
As you appear to be wanting to do this in a plug-in you would need to call the script from a plug-in, this can be done using the AFExecuteThisScript () function call.
Please note that this does will fail if the document is not reader enabled for save and you need to include the Forms HFT in your plug-in,
This plug-in would also have to be approved by Adobe to be used with the reader and as you are implementing a function that is available in the full Acrobat product this may not be a straight forward approval.

Why can't I open PDF files with Adobe Reader in Google Chrome?

Suddenly I cannot open PDF files with Adobe Reader when I am in Google Chrome. I have installed up to date versions of both. What is happening?

Can't print a pdf file with adobe reader 10.1.12 on a Windows Server 2012 R2 RDS session

Situation : My users are connected with RDP on a Windows Server 2012 R2 Datacenter Remote Desktop Service and when they log on, their share printers are installed.
When some users open a pdf file, they can't print it. When they try to print a file, nothing happen... No file sent to the printer...
I have seen a difference between the shortcut icon of adobe reader for users who have this problem and others.

Hi Ajlan,
To fix my problem, i uninstalled adobe reader X with "Adobe Reader and Adobe Acrobat Cleaner Tool", rebooted the server, installed Adobe Reader XI and rebooted again.
For some users, this fix the problem but with some others i had to define Adobe Reader by default again.
I tried without use "Adobe Reader and Adobe Acrobat Cleaner Tool" before and adobe reader X wasn't really uninstall.

How can I print commentaries made to a pdf-document with Adobe reader ?

My message and question is contained in the header of this message.
I am receiving occasionally PDF- documents as an attachement to an email for examination. I can attach comments to special parts of the document, which are indicated by tags in the document and in a list at the side of that document.
I may return the document with my remarks to the sender.
The Problem is: When he wants to print out the document, he will print the tags, but not the content of my comments.
Is there a way to print the comments also or the list of may comments?

I can't print certain .pdf documents in Adobe Reader?

When I try to print certain documents from in Adobe Reader XI, instead of going to my printer screen, it goes to a SAVE screen? What is happening, and how can I fix it? I am using a Brother MFC-J460W All-in-One that I just purchased a few months ago, and just download the latest available driver for it. I am using Windows 8.

In the Print dialog click the Advanced button and make sure that "Print to file" is not selected.

How do I save PDF documents in Adobe Reader on my iPad?

I add files to my Adobe Reader on my iPad from Acrobat.com. They show up as recent and they disappear after a while. Contrary to what I was told on this site earlier (items don't disappear in recents unless it is to full), my documents/files do disappear. I was working on a document earlier and now 3 hours later ii's gone. I don't always have access to wireless enternet when I need to open the documents. Also,when I download (or what ever it's called when you open them up on an iPad), the notes and highlights that I did on the document have disappeared.

It's easy to misunderstand what we read here and often I find that if I just ask more questions people are frustrated so I erred on the side of providing information rather than witholding it and asking more questions. I happen to be paid by Adobe to build the Reader but I volunteer in the forums during my lunch hour or extending my day to answer questions. I'm doing my best.
My understanding of our cache is limited, but it looks to me like our current Acrobat.com cache is 100 megabytes. We will start pushing files out of the cache from the least recently used forward until the cache size is less than 100MB. We don't currently have a way to explicitly mark Acrobat.com files to be saved locally. One way to achieve this would be to open the file from Adobe Reader into another app and then open it again in Adobe Reader which will place it in your Documents. Alternatively, you can use iTunes to add the files to your Documents from your Desktop after downloading them from Acrobat.com. I recognize that this is a little strange and will result in 2 copies of the document (one in the Acrobat.com cache and one in Documents) but I wanted to provide the option. I've emailed another engineer to verify my understanding of the cache and to see if she can provide a better workaround.

I couldn't find the device you mentioned among my test devices but here's the steps I followed on another device:
1. Downloaded the file from the link you mentioned to my PC. Attached it to a mail and sent it to myself.
2. Opened the mail on my Android device.
3. When asked to open the file in the viewer, chose 'Adobe Reader' (11.5.0.1 build 98311)
4. Searched for the word 'the' in the pdf(by selecting the search icon which looks like a magnifying glass in the top toolbar).
5. I get a screen like the one attached.
6. If i tap on a particular snippet(the small portions of the text on different pages), I am taken to that particular page.
7. To see all the results again, I can tap on the search icon again and the same results will show up.
Please let me know if you don't observe the same behavior.

Open PDF document with Adobe Reader

Hi everyone,
I am building an application to be published as an AIR app. I need to add a PDF along with the application, so the user needs to have access to this document. When the user clicks to open the PDF is there a way the document can be opened using Adobe Reader and NOT the default browser?

I can't complete any PDF downloads with Adobe Reader

I had Adobe Reader X with this problem then uninstalled X, then installed Adobe Reader XI and still I can't complete any PDF file downloads on Explorer with Windows 8 with out the explorer downloader document page crashing. Then some times when I have the option to "save to" the PDF doc to a download file I can open it from there. Most all existing PDF files open fine.

I had to fix it my self!!!
No more than just one person (thanks) tried to help me out!
I FIXED IT....
The problem was you could say a self conflict of Adobe reader. The software would not shut down any instances. It just would not quit, weather I had turned off my PC or otherwise. If I tried to run a instance of Adobe reader then failed, then tried again, the number of times I tried would still continue and would not stop when trying to "End Task" with the "Task Manager" in the "processes" section, then when I did succeeded inaddition to "Processes" was more in the "Details" section of "Task Manager" that would not stop!!
I down loaded "Acrobat Cleaner" and ran it immediately selecting Adobe Reader to be removed, after startup of my PC and it removed all installations.
I then proceeded to find all other "Adobe Reader" downloaded files and just dragged them to the Recycle bin.
That then gave me the chance to do a very clean install, and it worked with out faltering.
If you are having any major problems, do a clean out of Adobe Reader of all old versions and install the one that suits your computer.
Acrobat Reader now loads very fast, like I mean very fast!!

If Reader ISN'T in the list of prpgrams to open with, click "Browse"
In the "Browse window" go to C/Program files [or Program Files (x86)]/Adobe/Reader 11/Reader
Select "AcroRd32.exe" and click "Open"
Make sure "Always use the selected program to open this kind of file" is checked and click "OK".

How can i synchronize incoming pdf files with adobe reader

i have just set up my new pc and now whenever i receive a pdf file i can not edit it, unless i go through x amount of steps. opening adobe, opening the file and every time the same proceder. what to do that pdf files get automatically upon downloading opened through reader. thanks for help
