Which BIOS version for K9A Platinum with 4GB memory / GeForce GT430 ?

I was running 1.4 with 2GB (2x1)  Kingston memory and the GT430, everything OK.
Then I replaced memory with 4GB (2x2) Corsair memory and XP hung during startup ... changing voltage (1.9 to 2.1) & timings (4-4-4-12) didn't help, so I decided to flash to BIOS 1.9. Bad idea, the video card wasn't found anymore ... running 1.4 again now.
Anyone here with a K9A and similar setup and a BIOS > 1.4 ??

Yeah, I know the PSU isn't the best one around. But on the other hand so far it never caused problems ... I'll get a new one before trying to put in the Corsair 4GB memory.
But in this particular case the PSu is not the problem ; if the K9A board detects the GT430 with BIOS 1.4, but not with 1.8 and 1.9 it's not the PSU's fault, right ?
I read on another forum that someone had the same kind of problem with a K9A, BIOS 1.9 and a HD5870 videocard. He claims he got hold of a 1.10b1 BIOS that actually fixed the problem ...
Will try attached BIOS ...

This doesn't matter, it can explode in each moment in flames and to kill all other parts installed in your computer.
[if you are not around when this hapends, the fires can destroy your home place too..]
It's the matter of time this to hapends... This PSU is a time bomb like Q-TEC, Colorsit, Codegen, HiTech and other similar cheap no name junks..

[+ some other unknown vga patch from A1]
so it could helps for your case too

  • H61M-E33 B3 - which BIOS version for i5-3570?

    Hi
My motherboard is MSI H61M-E33 B3,  I was using i3-2100 CPU, but a friend gave me his old i5-3750,  which is far better. I updated my BIOS with Live Update before I swapped CPU's but I guess that my BIOS version is still wrong for this i5, because when I try to run my PC, it beeps 4 times and reset. So my question is, what is exact BIOS version I need for this CPU to work, and where can I download it? I would be really thankful for any help

Does it still work with the 13-2100? Did you clear CMOS after BIOS update?
Yes, and yes. Works perfectly with i3, and I've cleared CMOS, but it didn't help.

Go to MB support page and check the compatibility list.
    for the last 2 digits/letters, A=10, B=11, C=12 etc, so A2 will be 10.2
The problem is, on this page - http://www.msi.com/product/mb/H61ME33_B3.html#hero-overview - On the compatibility tab, my i5 is labeled as "7680vC0.zip" - so i guess BIOS version 12.0 - but on the downloads tab, I see only BIOS 12.3 and 12.2, and the next older one is 10.E :/ Should I download this 12.2 or 12.3 versions?
When I use my Live Update 6 program, with i3 CPU mounted, it tells me that my BIOS version is A.E0 and it is the latest one, and no need to update.
    I'm really, really confused :P

  • Which is the latest BIOS version for Satellite L30-113 (PSL 33)?

    Hi everyone,
Could someone please tell me which is the letest BIOS version for my laptop since I have never upgarde it?
Also how do I install it and how do I check what is my bios version now?
    Thank you in advance

First of all the BIOS update is not necessary if your notebook functions correctly.
    But back to your questions;
On the Toshiba European driver page you will find all available drivers and also the newest available BIOS. At this time it seems to be a 3.10-WIN version
How to find out the BIOS version?
This is very easy you have to access the BIOS and then you could see the BIOS version.
To access the BIOS you have to press the F2 button immediately after notebook was started.
    Ciao

  • When is going to be released official new bios for k9a platinum

    Hi,
as I write in topic, when is going to be released new bios for k9a platinum?
    thanks

That is a Kuma CPU and as such it is not and probably will not be supprted on your older MB.
Here is a list of MBs that support 7550 Kuma, 7750 it appears like is too new to be on any MSI MB CPU support list yet however it it should be supported on them as well.

    my current version is E16F13IMS.30
The dolby digital live on the GT60/GT70 is pretty much crap. It only works with 'streams' that actually output it in dolby digital, an will not up-convert audio (ie MP3's and stereo sound) to dolby digital output. It's a very crappy implementation, to be perfectly honest about it.
If you want a GOOD sound card to output dolby digital audio, I would suggest considering an Asus Xonar U3. They run around $50USD, and will upconvert and will work great with this notebook. It's what I'm currently using.
Otherwise, the ONLY way to output dolby digital is to get a TOSLINK adapter (goes from a optical stereo connector to a normal optical connector). While they aren't expensive, they still won't get you good sound output from the laptop. I tried it, and went with the Asus Xonar U3 instead.
It really doesn't have anything to do with the sound card, it's not defective. It's just that is all that it can actually do. There are very few, almost none, out there that can actually upconvert. The Asus Xonar sound cards are one of the few that can.

  • K9A Platinum with 2 Sapphire X1650XT crossfired but CCC will not see them?

A Newbie here, so sorry if I sound thick.  I have a K9A Platinum with 2 X1650XT DDR3 installed and windows see's them both but ATI Catalyst Control Centre tells me the interconnect cable are not attached??  Both the cables are connected (ATI Genuine).  I have installed all the latest drivers and checked that my bios is up to date, I only built/purchased the parts 4 days ago.
    Hope you guys can help??

    Windows XP-pro 64bit
    AMD 6000+ X2 AM2
    MSI K9A Platinum
    Zalman CNPS9500 AM2
    Corsair DDR2 800MHz 2gig (2X1024MB matched pair)
    Sapphire X1650XT DDR3 (x2)
    Western Digital Raptor 37gig Sata
    Seagate Baracuda 250gig Sata (x2)
    Samsung DVD-R Sata
Corsair 520watt PSU (only using 3 rails)

HI AaronYuri, thanks for the response but I have tried the cards switched and the cables swapped/reversed, I have tested the cards on there own in the board, I have just noticed that when I do system information it can see the both cards on the board but it only give me the memory information for one of the cards, not sure if this is relevant but assume that because I am using the main card for my display the others is not being used.

  • Where can I find an old BIOS version for X200

I am running windows 7 build 7100 on an x200. After updating to BIOS Version 3.05 - 3.06 the system is significant slower. Where can I find the former BIOS version for download?
In advance thx a lot for support.

Hi wolfgang285, and welcome to the Lenovo User Community!
All the BIOS versions which have been released on the web are on the X200 BIOS update page.
    I don't work for Lenovo. I'm a crazy volunteer!

  • What photo gallery can I use for a Mac OS X version 10.6.8 with 1GB memory?

what photo gallery can I use for a Mac OS X version 10.6.8 with 1GB memory?

What do you mean by photo gallery?  Are you referring to what version of the iPhoto application?  What version came with your iMac?
iPhoto 8.1.2 would be a good choice for that system and limited amount of memory.  It comes on the iLife 09 disc which is available from 3rd party vendors like Amazon.com or eBay.com.
If you can add memory to your iMac do so.  Increasing memory to 4 GB will do wonders for the speed of the system and applications.

  • Where to see activities, which are created for the campaign with target group

    Hi
I have created a Communication Method in SPRO -> CRM -> Marketing -> Marketing Planning & Campaign Management -> Campaign Executtion - Define Communication Method : Activity has been configured
Activities are not appearing after creation of campaign with target group.
Where to see activities, which are created for the campaign with target group?
    Regards
    Hamid

    Hello,
alternatively to check  table CRMD_ORDERADM_H directly you can use the related transactions search for the campaign:
This should bring all activities generated by the campaign. If this is empty first check the job log of the campaign execution job again:
This gives information if any target group members have business transactions created. If the log does not contain the required information you can debug from SM37. The business transactions (activities, leads, sales orders) are generated from function module CRM_MKTTGGRP_PROC_CREATE.
    best regards,

  • Which part number for CSC-SSM with Plus license?

    Dear All,
Which part number for CSC-SSM with Plus License? i saw the part number for standard license.
    could you let me know?
    Best regards,

    Hi,
The part number is the following:
    ASA-CSCX-YP-ZY
where X is your CSC model, Y is the number of seats of the license and Z is the number of years.
For instance, if you need a 2 year plus license for a CSC10 with 250 seats, the part number would be ASA-CSC10-250P-2Y

  • Just upgraded an iMac with 4GB Memory and Intel Processor from 10.6.8 to Mavericks and Quicktime plays m4v files with stuttering audio

I just upgraded an iMac with 4GB Memory and 3.33 Ghz  Intel Core Duo Processor from 10.6.8 to Mavericks.  I now have Quicktime 10.3 which plays m4v files with stuttering audio.  This is a nightmare as I use Quicktime a lot in my research.  I have seen similar threads but so far only reporting the problem.  For now I have installed Quicktime Player 10.7 (which appears in utilities, leaving Quicktime 10.3 in the main applications list) which plays the same videos with no problem, but it would be good to know if anyone has managed to find a workaround at all, or know if Apple have plans to do anything about it?

Slow performance after installing Yosemite on an older Mac is often caused by inadequate memory. Although you can install the upgrade on a Mac with 2 GB of memory, experience has shown that at least 4 GB is needed for full performance.
Select About This Mac from the Apple menu. If you have less than 4 GB of memory, and your model has upgradable memory, install as much as it can take, or at least that much. Any reputable RAM vendor will have a web form in which you can select the Mac model and be directed to compatible parts.

You need to purchase 8 GBs as two 4 GB modules. Must meet these requirments:
    Maximum Memory
    8.0 GB
    Memory Slots
    2 - 204-pin PC3-8500 (1066 MHz) DDR3 SO-DIMM

Change your user config mode in dram configuration to manual and change your memory timing to 1T.  The 1T setting will speed up your memory slightly.

  • Which BIOS version latest V1.8/V1.B for 890GXM G65

    Hi All,
    I bought a new AMD1090T (6Core) with MSI 890GXM-G65 mobo along with 4GB RAM.
System is working ideally under Win 7 32-bit however in 64-bit it is not recognizing my Hard Disk which is being detected in BIOS.
System is also lagging after updating all the softwares.
    Can you guide me??
    Windows 7 Ultimate.

    Quote
Yes, it does however it is giving me error that Hard disk is capable but the command failed
    Quote
my one of the three hard disks stop getting detected in BIOS and hence then on Windows 7 64-bit.
Is it the same hard drive that did not appear in Windows before (the "command failed" hard drive)?  In case the answer is yes, then this sounds like a bad hard drive rather than a board or BIOS problem.
