Which bluetooth module for iMac 17" 1.8Ghz

I am trying to decide between two bluetooth modules for a 17" 1.8Ghz iMac. So far I have found part number 922-6201 and 922-6530. They look similar but I have been unable to find any explicit documentation that mentions the correct part.
Can anyone help me out?
JT
Also feel free to reach me on ichat: jasontm1

According to the information here those part numbers are interchangeable and are really the same card.
It is really odd that on that page it states:
Description
Add BlueTooth to your iMac G5 17" & 20" Mac with this Apple part.
But then does not include any iMac G5 in the compatibility information:
Compatibility
Power Mac G5, eMac (USB 2.0), iMac (17-inch Flat Panel, 1GHz), iMac (USB 2.0), Power Mac G4 (FW 800), Power Mac G5 (June 2004), Power Mac G5 (June 2004), Power Mac G5 (Late 2004), Mac mini**.

  • Add internal bluetooth module for Probook 5310m, cannot receive files

Hi, I tried to add internal bluetooth module for my probook 5310m, which should be very similar to 4311s and 5320m.
I did installed the module and cable by following the maintenance guide, but there is something wrong about the driver so I cannot receive files through bluetooth from either my smartphone or my another laptop. My phone showed " The transfer is forbidden by the target device( which means 5310m)".
The bluetooth module I got is Broadcom 2070 bluetooth 3.0. My operation system is windows 7 ultimate 32. I tried driver package sp52773 and some earlier version but none of them works. I even let windows update drivers by itself, it still did not work. The only good part is my bluetooth headphone works perfectly and I can sent stuff out from my 5310m. Does anyone know how to fix this problem? I really want to fix this since I use bluetooth a lot. I will really appreciate your help.
    Thank you again.

I found a way to fix this problem. I install the bluesoleil software and everything works fine finally. Thank god.

  • Is Bluetooth module for Mac Pro/iMac compatible with FW800 MDD?

I've been looking at fitting an internal Apple Bluetooth module in my FW800 MDD G4, and I've noticed the later modules for Intel Macs appear to have the same form factor. The connection to the logic board looks identical, as do the mounting holes. The only physical difference seems to be where the BT antenna connects (below on the original G4 card, above on the later modules).
Has anyone tried fitting one with success?

if you got the guts, shove it in there. think the issue you will have is the original machines supported the 1.1 cards, the card you speak of is 2.0

  • Bluetooth module for Quicksilver G4?

I can't find any info on what internal bluetooth module my Quicksilver G4 uses.
Thank you so much for any help. I am trying to share files from (to) my computer
via Bluetooth with my Moterola W385 cellphone.

The key to this issue is the presence of active Bluetooth profiles. File transfer requires the OBEX—or OBject EXchange Bluetooth profile—which many, but not all, mobile handsets are 'equipped' with.
When you pair your mobile handset or smartphone using the Bluetooth Setup Assistant, it will display a profile of your successfully paired device. Here is an example of one for my Nokia 6086:
    Device Name: Nokia 6086
    Device Address: 00-19-79-92-ce-b1
    Device Type: Phone
Device Services: Voice Gateway, Audio Gateway, Network Access Point Service, OBEX Object Push, OBEX File Transfer, Nokia SyncML Server, SyncML Client, Music-Player, Media Player, Media Player, SIM ACCESS, Dial-up networking, Nokia PC Suite, COM 1

To verify that your adapter is supported, find the board ID number
on the adapter. Look for a label that has a barcode and a number
in the format 123456-001 (six digits hyphen three digits). Match
this to the list of numbers above.
For more information on how to identify your adapter, go to the

  • Is there any Bluetooth module for Satellite A100-225?

    Hello
I am wondering if a bluetooth module exists for a Satellite A100-225 (PSAA9E Series). What model?
    Thanks

No, unfortunately this notebook does not support the internal Bluetooth module and it cannot be upgraded with such module.
If you want to use the BT technology you will have to switch to external solution.
Buy simply an USB Bluetooth stick. Such sticks are simply to use. Just plug in the USB port and configure it.

  • Bluetooth module for G4 type FW800?

They are still around but really expensive compared to BT USB Dongles:

  • Internal Bluetooth module for A10

    Hi All
I have bought an internal Bluetooth module kit (PA3121U-3BTM) for my laptop. According to the website it is compatable but no instructions for the A10 were included.
Does anyone know where the connector is located on the A10?
    Thanks
    David Richardson

    Hi again David
I'm sorry. My fault. I did not read your first message obviously. This module You have is not possible to install in your machine. It's for other models. I believe it is not possible to install a BT module inside this machine.

    Hi,
I recently aquired an Satellite A100-498, in this model there's no internal bluetooth interface.
Can someone tell me if it suports an internal bt module?
I've found one page saiing it supports the PA3477U-1BTM but it was not a thosiba oficial page.
If someone knows about this please let me know.

If your notebook model was also sold with Bluetooth then it is most likely that also your notebook can be equipped with a Bluetooth module, if not then not. All internal bluetooth modules are USB based. The very old ones are from SiW and then new ones from CSR. So I guess the form factor has the highest priority for you.
In this case I would consider to by a SD Bluetooth card 3, but you should check first if your SD slot supports SDIO in you notebook manual. This is required to get it working. I found this information on the Toshiba bluetooth website.

  • Where can I find a bluetooth module for my 2004 Power Mac G5?

Title says it all. Im trying to use a magic mouse I just purchased and I didnt know my G5 didnt have bluetooth card. I cant seem to find anywhere to buy one or even find which one I need. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Why not just use a bluetooth dongle?  For example an Iogear GBU421.  There's plenty of others.  Just stick something like "bluetooth adapter" into google.
Note, I don't know about the software side of using BT on the G5 with your version of the OS, i.e., whether the bluetooth preference pane gets enabled along with the enhanced mouse preferences.

  • WHICH ILLUSTRATOR VERSION FOR IMAC MAC OS X 10.5.8 LEOPARD?

    hi there,
    i have a question.
I am a proud owner of the new IMAC with leopard on it (currently 10.5.8) the current software i think.
Now i try to put Illustrator on it, well first of all i try to purchase it, which is the first stepping stone. Illu is sooo expensive!
which version would be the suitable first of all for my leopard and is there a cheaper way around???does anybody know?
i love illu and NEED IT!
    thanks for any advice!!

The other alternative, which I have advocated here and on other forums, is eBay.
Contrary to what others may say or think, most software for sale on eBay is legitimate, and the few who aren't are easily spotted. eBay takes a very aggressive stance on these things which makes software sales there such a vibrant and active market.
And like Wade said, you can then get on the Upgrade path. And Adobe is very good about transfers of registration to enable you to do this. This is something I have done for years and it keeps my costs down.
Follow these guides and you won't go wrong.
    1) Read this web page from Adobe: http://www.adobe.com/aboutadobe/antipiracy/avoid.html
    and follow it!
    2) You must, must, must use PayPal for all payments to cover yourself. And eBay has new protection also.
    3) If the seller doesn't specifically state anything about the software or if the seller doesn't specifically state anywhere if the software is registered or not, ask the seller that and also if they will transfer ownership. If you don't get an answer before the end of the auction, don't bid! There are more sellers who will answer you. And keep a record of your correspondence by checking the button to send a copy to your e-mail account.
    4) Look at how many sales the seller has done and the buyer responses and ratings. Very few or zero sales and 87% ratings are suspect.
    5) Look at any pictures. If the seller took the picture himself then you have more confidence that you will get what you see than a stock photo or no photo at all. All software shown should look like commercial products, silkscreen logos and imagery on mass produced discs and not cd-rs with labels stuck on (pirate sellers usually are too smart to do that). Look at several of these and familiarize yourself with what AI CS3 and CS4 look like in bare disc form from other auctions there.
    6) Use AuctionSniper to place bids at the last minute.
    7) Compare prices on the versions of Adobe Ilustrator you want (CS3 or CS4). Some sellers ask ridiculous amounts for older copies of Adobe software. You shouldn't have a problem here but you could get Illustrator version 8 and an upgrade to CS3 for a combined total the is less than a full retail CS3. It depends on the market. Since you don't have a large budget do your home work and study the closing prices for the versions you want.
Follow these guidlines and you will get the software you want at a price you can afford.

  • Which SAP module for static location control in warehouse management ?

    Hello,
can someone please help me answering this question:
One of our warehouses is managed with location. One item can be stocked in more than one location, but the user decides which location he puts the item in. We do not need dynamic location control.
Do you think we can manage this with the modules we plan to implement (MM, SD, PP, FI, CO), or do we absolutely need a new module (WM) ?
Thanks in advance for yourr help.
    Regis

    Dear Regis,
If using the Warehouse Management System, a storage location can be further defined down to the bin level.
Although it is possible for you to manage warehouse inventories using the Inventory Management (IM) application component, the primary difference between managing stock in WM and in IM is that in IM, the system can only display the total stock of a material for a storage location. If a warehouse is small and easily manageable, then the use of IM may be sufficient to fulfill your needs.
WM, on the other hand, offers the capability to manage stock quantities in each individual storage bin in highly complex storage facilities. This means that, with WM, you can optimize the use of all storage bins, mix pallets belonging to several owners in randomly slotted warehouses and know exactly where a particular material is located in the warehousing complex at all times.
The bottom line is it all depends on various facrors including budget, complexity etc.
    Regards,
    Naveen.

  • Bluetooth headphones for imac

How do I get an iMac to recognize a set of Bluetooth earphones? When I turn them on and press the button to get the blue light, nothing happens in the Bluetooth preferrences page on the iMac. I have a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse working and the Bluetooth is turned on.
    TIA,

    Hello bdphifer,
Thank you for the details of the issue you are experiencing when trying to pair your Bluetooth headphones with your iMac.
Have you selected the option in System Preferences > Bluetooth to “Set Up New Device” as described here:
    3. Set up a new device
To set up a Bluetooth device, click “Set Up New Device” (in earlier Mac OS X versions, click the Devices tab in Bluetooth, then click "Set Up New Device"). Follow the onscreen instructions to set up your device.
If you have and are still not seeing an option to pair your headphones, I recommend reviewing the steps in the section titled “Top troubleshooting tips” in the following article:
