Which board is good to produce 5v TTL and temperature measurement?

I want to use Labview to control a valve controller, which contects 6 solenoid valves. This instrument accepts 0-5V TTL signals. I need to switch the valves on/off below 1 second. Which Ni board is good for this application as well as temperature measurement I want also?
Thanks a lot for your suggestion.

Sheng,
One of National Instruments E Series multifunction DAQ devices should provide all of the functionality you require. You may want to also consider using SCC signal conditioning for your temperature measurements. With regards to the digital output, you will want to verify that the current drive provided by an E Series device is great enough to control the valve. If it is not, the NI 6509 digital I/O device provides high current drive. Below, I have included links to the appropriate product pages:

Good luck with your application.

You have a 13" Early or Mid 2009 MacBook. Either one can run OS X Mavericks with enough RAM, 2 GB minimum. But first you will need to update to OS X Snow Leopard 10.6.8 so that you have the Mac App Store installed on your MacBook
    Buy this from apple;
    http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC573/mac-os-x-106-snow-leopard
    Then download and update with this update combo;
OS X Snow Leopard 10.6.8 v1.1 update combo
    http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1399
After this you will have the Mac App Store on your MacBook and you should be able to download and install OS X Mavericks for free!
    Your MacBook must meet these minimum tech specs to run Mavericks;

  • Which Laptop is good for VS 2012/2013 and SQL SERVER 2008 R2 /2012 ?

    Hi,
I am planing to buy a laptop.
I am gonna be using mostly for Visual sStudio 2013 and Sql Server 2012 .
    my budget is $1000.
confuse between DELL/ HP / LENOVO..!!!
    please help.

This is only a personal taste of mine:
I prefer to work in Virtual Machines. In fact I did set up a VM just for my programming. This has the advantage that games and other stuff are not slowed down by SQL Server Services and similiar stuff.
This also allows me to quickly make a small virtual networks with multiple clients if I need to test some client/server stuff.
Plus I am also a bit of an adminstrator and prefer to test stuff in VM's before I try them in the real world.
I prefer using Virtual Box for Virtual Machines, so one thing of big importance was support for VT-X/AMD-V. Without them Virtual Box cannot run x64 guests even on a x64 host system.
Otherwise I wanted Windows 8 (so I could finally learn to live with it/learn programming for it's UI). And of big importance was an upgrade of gaming ability (my old one had difficulty/impossibility to run most current games).
So I bought a x64, Win8 Gaming Laptop with 8 GiB RAM (so I can run 3-6 Windows 7 hosts in paralell) and looked that the CPU supported Hardware Virtualsiation.
Otherwise pretty much every current laptop will work. x64 OS might be prefereable, as .NET has some limitations under x32/x86 OS (like the
2 GiB limit). Multicore (2 or more) is pretty much the state of the art (are there still any single core CPU's out there?).
It of course needs to be a Windows (7 or 8) to support VS. New Laptops should have UEFI (all that are sold with Windows 8 have).
If you do not need a lot of storage, using a SSD instead of a HDD will propably speed up startups (Windows, Programms) and compilation times a lot (those are disk-heavy operations) - but I only know that it should and heard of people who have them.

There may be a few links in Apple Support, regarding articles about how to use iBooks Author
and iBooks Store, etc; these would be separated into two general categories by device used.
Since there is an iOS and an OS X version of each, you may have to look to see what Apple
Support says about the one you are interested in; and how far their database goes toward an
answer to your question. Otherwise, a general search engine approach may be necessary.
Not sure if anything along the lines of what you seek would be available in an App.
References to iBooks Author and iBooks Store, etc appear within these two categories in Support:
    For Mac OS X:

    For iOS:

Appears a community host moved your earlier post into one of the iBooks Author or Store sections
after I'd replied to what otherwise may be a similar post. Not sure if the links to the Discussions area
of iBooks you are interested in, have similar questions or answers by others who'd visited previously.

In my reply to your earlier thread, prior to it being moved, those links to sections of iBooks Author, etc

  • Logic synths any good for producing ambient/meditative/spacescape sounds?

    Hi
I'm thinking of switching from a PC/Cubase to Mac/Logic Studio. However there are loads and loads of smaller synths/vsts that only run on the PC.
Are the synths in Logic Studio any good at producing ambient/meditation/spacescape/atmospheric types sounds?(or does anybody know of any VSTs that are? Atmosphere is a bit pricey and I already have Absynth).
The sort of sounds I'm interested in are by synths such as these:

Hi, I have to say I'm not familiar with parallels or fusion (I'll check them out though thanks). But it sounds interesting. I have held off installing windows on my mac because I want to become familiar with OSX before I get involved(if ever). I have tried running logic 8 and cubase 4 together and that was interesting. Mainly because the atmosphere plugin (which runs on a wrapper basis under logic / intel at the moment) actually worked within cubase 4 on my intel mac(as the old vst which did not use rosseta(I think?), and quite well. The problem I had was I could play atmosphere from within logic, in cubase with my virus ti as a controller but it would not play back after recording, but that was because the ti was setup in both progs as the midi input! I was amazed it actually worked to some degree. It really boils down to what it is you want to achieve I suppose. I have spent most of this year waiting for software updates so I can a) get stuff fully working on the intel mac platform, and of course, being the fool that I am, b) waiting for updates so they could once again work with leopard! When I think back to the days of me, my atari and my akai sampler, I used to get stuff done! Now i just seem to be looking for updates all the time.... No excuses though, they were my decisions! Ah well, it's all good fun I suppose. Not much help i'm afraid....Cheers.

  • Which board should clock higher. P45NEO or PN7-SLI with n750i

I got the p45neo at frys for $48 .Im putting together a HTPC and probally won't need sli on this RIG As I don't see myself Investing in a monitor that I'll see the difference in, my single video card can handle most . So i was wondering which board to keep as "OCer everyday rig". I'll be putting in my new Q9400 microcenter$179 & 4gb 1066 memory   in here and moving my dual core to the HTPC in my "everyday OCer" any thoughts.

    Go for the P45 board.
It can do 1066MHz on all 4 memory slots and is the better oc-er of the two you proposed.
    Quote from: ptcrash3814 on 12-March-09, 05:09:26
DONT DO THE P7NSLI!!!!!!    i have the same cpu. i have yet to be able to get any kind of OC to boot to post at all. 1333 is norm i can go to 1335 ok lol but it will take our q9400 from 2.66 to 2.669 lol the p7nsli plat is a good board im reading and easy to  OC i guess. Lots of peopl ehave posted there bios so you can copy and aduust for your self.  If you have to stay with msi thats the one i would do. Wish i hard stayed with asus. =(
Could be just a FSB wall or your cpu doesnt like to be oc-ed, not all cpu's/mobo's like to be oc-ed, every single one is different!!
No need to blame the board, just because you didnt get it past a certain fsb number.
My older P6N Plat. will not boot between 1600 and 1700 MHz, but beyond 1700, no problemo.
Furthermore, its not just pushing the numbers and presto it works.
OC-ing is a long and slow process and should not be hasted.

  • Which board?

    Hi,
I am about to build a new system and, because of the good support I have received here (and the seeming lack of a similar thing for Gigabyte, Asus, etc), want to base it on an MSI board. The question of course is which board? There is a bewildering choice, but the following is relevant:
    * I'm not attached to any particular chipset
    * I'm not a gamer, so have no need for overclocking, but do a lot of graphics stuff (photoshop, etc)
    * I plan to use a quad core Q6700 CPU or better.
    * I will use x64 XP
    Any input welcome.
    TIA

Probably one of the P35s or X48s.

The retina display MacBook Pros are very lightweight, so you won't really notice a weight difference between a 15" or 13" one. If you can afford it, get the 15" notebook.
Purchase the most powerful configuration you can afford.  If you can afford it, get the larger SSD - but, you can always get a portable external hard drive that you can take with you if you find the internal drive is too small.

     MSI 865PENEO2-PFISR
    or
     MSI 865PE NEO2-PFS
    Thanks in advance......

Basically the same MoBo ( only the Firewire/SATA raid is differant )

You´ll be fine with either of them.
Most people think bios 3.8 or 3.A is best for prescott cpu´s ( lower reported cpu temp)

  • We have many mappings, which one is good in performance wise ?

We have many mappings, which one is good in performance wise ?

    HI
Different Mapping Techniques are available in XI. They are: Message Mapping, XSLT Mapping, Java Mapping and ABAP mapping.
u2022The integration repository includes a graphical mapping editor. It includes built-in functions for value transformations and queue and context handling.  There is an interface for writing user-defined functions (java) as well.
u2022XSLT mappings can be imported into the Integration Repository; java methods can be called from within the XSLT style sheet. Advantages of this mapping are: open standard, portable, extensible via Java user-defined functions.
u2022If the transformation is very complex, it may be easiest to leverage the power of Java for mapping.
u2022ABAP mapping programs can also be written to transform the message structures.
    Message Mapping
SAP XI provides a graphical mapping tool that generates a java mapping program to be called at run time.
u2022Graphically define mapping rules between source and target message types.
u2022Queue-based model allows for handling of extremely large documents.
    u2022Drag-and-drop.
    u2022Generates internal Java Code.
u2022Built-in and user-defined functions (in Java)
    u2022Integrated testing tool.
    u2022N:M mapping is possible.
    JAVA MAPPING:
Usually Java mapping is preferred when the target structure is relatively complex and the transformation cannot be accomplished by simple graphical mapping.
For e.g. consider a simple File->IDoc scenarion where the source file is a simple XML file, whereas the target file is an IDoc with more than one hierarchy level e.g FINSTA01. Content conversion in XI can only create a single level hierarchy, so in this scenario a Java mapping would come in handy.

    /people/thorsten.nordholmsbirk/blog/2006/08/10/using-jaxp-to-both-parse-and-emit-xml-in-xi-java-mapping-programs
    When to use Java mapping
    1) Java mapping are used when graphical mapping cannot help you.
    Advantages of Java Mapping
1)you can use Java APIs and Classes in it.
    2) file look up or a DB lookup is possible
    3) DOM is easier to use with lots of classes to help you create nodes and elements.
Java mapping can be used when you have complex mapping structures.
    ABAP MAPPING:
ABAP mappings are mapping programs in ABAP objects that customers can implement using the ABAP Workbench.
An ABAP mapping comprises an ABAP class that implements the interface IF_MAPPING in the package SAI_MAPPING. The interface has a method EXECUTE with the some signature.
Applications can decide themselves in the method EXECUTE how to import and change the source XML document. If you want to use the XSLT processor of SAP Web AS, you can use the ABAP Workbench to develop a stylesheet directly rather than using ABAP mappings.
In ABAP mapping you can read access message header fields. To do this, an object of type IF_MAPPING_PARAM is transferred to the EXECUTE method. The interface has constants for the names of the available parameters and a method GET, which returns the respective value for the parameter name. The constants are the same as in Java mappings, although the constant MAPPING_TRACE does not exist for ABAP mappings. Instead, the trace object is transferred directly using the parameter TRACE of the method IF_MAPPING~EXECUTE.

    ABAP Mapping Vs Java Mapping.
Re: Message Mapping of type ABAP Class not being shown
Re: Performance of mappings (JAVA, XSLT, ABAP)
    XSLT Mapping
XSLT stands for EXtensible Stylesheet Language Transformations. It is an XML based language for transforming XML documents into any other formats suitable for browser to display, on the basis of set of well-defined rules.
    /people/sap.user72/blog/2005/03/15/using-xslt-mapping-in-a-ccbpm-scenario
    /people/anish.abraham2/blog/2005/12/22/file-to-multiple-idocs-xslt-mapping
The above menotined are the mapping present in the XI.
When it is critical and complicate we go for the ABAP,JAVA or XSLt mapping. For simple Mapping we go for the graphical mapping.
the selection of mapping also depends upon the requirement and alos on our scenario.
    cheers

Put your first emphasis on memory. Don't even consider 2 GB.
Second, maximize your SSD size according to the ability of your wallet. Lastly is your processor.
For what you describe the MBA is plenty fast.
